The sport’s highest governing body, the International Cricket Council, prepares a schedule for Test-playing nations, requiring them to play at least two  bilateral  series (one at home and one away) against each other over a 10-match period. Have to play. This schedule is called the Future Tour Program or FTP for short. Two is the minimum number. If the boards of the countries reach an agreement, they can also play more than two bilateral series in 10 years, but they need to play at least two series.

ICC - Future Tour Programs 2024 to 2027..

The ICC Future Tours Programme also know as (FTP for short, ICC - Future Tour Programs, ICC FTP,  ICC Crciket FTP) is a schedule of international cricket tours which structure the programme of cricket for International Cricket Council full members.

ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2024 - 2027

On 20 June 2018, the ICC announced the new Future Tours Program (FTP) starting in 2018 and ending in 2023. This FTP features the inaugural ICC World Test Championship in 2019–21 and 2021–23, featuring the top 9 Test teams, and the ODI Championship comprising 13 teams..

ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2024 - 2031

On June 2, 2021, the International Cricket Council  (ICC) Announcement new ICC Future Tours Program FTP of its global events for a period of 8 years starting 2024 and concluding with the 2031 World Test Championship final.

Two ICC 50-over Men's Cricket World Cups  (2027, 2031), four T20 World Cups (2024, 2026, 2028, 2030) will be played in this FTP. The ICC Champions Trophy which was last played in 2017 has been revived again and will be played twice in 2025 and 2029.

On 17 August 2022, The International Cricket Council released the Men’s Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2023-27. The International calendar for all ICC Full Members across all three formats (Test, ODI and T20I) of the game. The 2023-27 FTP has over 770 matches.

Future Tour Programs (FTP): The England Men’s Cricket team has a packed international schedule ahead for them in the span of the next two years. The ECB has plenty of tours and series lined up with multiple nations.

It is interesting to note that England Men’s team will fly down to the Netherlands at the start of 2022 for 3 matches ODI series. The series against England will give a huge boost to the Netherland cricket program.

Groups announced for ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Challenge League

▪️Twelve teams split over two groups on pathway through to ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027

▪️Winners and runners-up from each group will progress to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Playoff

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed the groupings for the next cycle of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a 12-team competition on the road to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 that starts later this year.

Split across two groups of six teams, Challenge League A and Challenge League B will offer a better chance for teams to progress than in the previous edition, with the winners and runners-up from each group securing a place at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Playoff.

The teams featuring in Challenge League A are Denmark, Jersey, Kenya, Kuwait, Papua New Guinea and Qatar.

Challenge League B will be comprised of Bahrain, Hong Kong China, Italy, Singapore, Tanzania and Uganda.

Eight teams qualified for the Challenge League on the basis of their performance in the previous edition of the qualification pathway. Four teams also secured their place by virtue of progressing from the recently concluded Challenge League Playoff held in Malaysia: Bahrain, Italy, Kuwait and Tanzania.

While the fixture schedule for the Challenge League is yet to be confirmed, three round-robin series will take place from 2024 to 2026 to determine the teams that will continue their qualification journey, meeting the bottom four teams from the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Playoff.

ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley, said : “The Challenge League represents an important stage in qualification through to the 14-team ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. This competition provides a competitive platform for high-performing emerging nations to stake a claim for World Cup qualification and with more teams able to progress in this upcoming cycle, teams will be hungrier than ever to make it all the way to the landmark global event.”

“I wish all the teams the best of luck as they continue their journey towards the ultimate prize in men’s ODI cricket, and I’m sure it will continue to unveil some exceptionally talented players along the way.”
