Kane brown announces 2024 in the air tour.

(RALEIGH, NC) – Today, multi-platinum, 5X AMA Award-winning entertainer and current CMA Award nominee Kane Brown announced details for his new highly anticipated tour, ‘In The Air.’ The upcoming tour will kick off in March and hit 29 cities along the way, including a stop at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC on Friday, June 7, 2024. Brown will wrap the tour with five major stadium shows including returning to the iconic Fenway Park in Boston, where earlier this year he made history as the first black artist to sell-out a headlining show in the venue’s over 100-year history. Support for the tour will vary across cities and come from Tyler Hubbard, Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Bailey Zimmerman, Cole Swindell, Parmalee, LOCASH, and RaeLynn

Earlier in the summer, Brown wrapped the ‘Drunk or Dreaming Tour,’ which included his first headlining arena show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and a massive stadium show in Boston, MA at the historic Fenway Park. The Boston Globe heralded him as being “on his game” at the show. Pollstar exclaimed, “Kane Brown knocks it out of the park,” while Music Row claimed he “illuminated a sold-out crowd.” Kane also wrapped the international leg of the same tour earlier this year, which hit cities including Sydney, London, Amsterdam, and Berlin.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of Brown receiving the ACM Honors International Award honor for his contributions to the country music format on a global scale. Brown sat down earlier this week on “ Sunday TODAY” with Willie Geist to talk about his early start in the industry, touring globally, as well as his upcoming new music and tour dates. Brown will release his new single, “I Can Feel It,” tomorrow. Pre-add/pre-save here . The upcoming song will sample Phil Collins’ legendary drum solo and single from “In the Air Tonight.” Collins, along with Brown, Gabe Foust, and Jaxson Free, is also credited as an “I Can Feel It” songwriter. “I Can Feel It” is the follow up to Brown’s 10th career #1 at Country radio, “Bury Me In Georgia,” which topped the Billboard Country and Country Aircheck charts this week, and his current CMA-nominated #1 hit, “Thank God.”

Kane Brown points to the rafters from the stage.

A dramatic entrance is an understatement for what went down at Newark’s Prudential Center on Saturday, March 30.

Opening act Tyler Hubbard had just finished wooing the crowd with his stable of rootsy country hits — “5 Foot 9” jerked everyone out of their seats and kept us on our feet until the final note of his infectious closer “Dancin’ In The Country.”

“No twerking, just twanging,” my friend smiled, referencing the gals behind us whose southern drawls rang just as loud as their excited belts.

In all seriousness, this rabble of fans was a rather tame group.

There were handfuls of young sprogs spread throughout the stands, the expected besotten lovebirds, and older adults who stayed sober enough to sing along without butchering a single lyric.

But, Kane Brown ’s theatrical entrance was what grabbed our attention.

Now on his sixth tour — this one dubbed ‘In the Air’ — the crossover country artist knows a thing or two about a grand opening.

The stage was reset within minutes. Sheer curtains drawn back, clouds of smoke escaping from the ground, and silhouettes of the band members flashing in each corner.

A few snare drums and firecrackers later, the drapes finally fell, and Brown descended from the sky sporting a laidback black Canadian tux, speckled in glistening rhinestones, and a pair of white sneakers. Whether intentional or not, even his style seems to defy conventional cowboy attire.

All eyes were on him, and everyone was likely wondering the same thing. What song would he open with?

“Bury Me in Georgia” was just the right pick for the Chattanooga Native. The 30-year-old’s ode to his hometown is grittier and moodier than some of his more pop-friendly hits, layered with distorted vocals, aggressive guitar, and hankering lyrics. It’s the perfect potion to placate his assemblage of fans.

Despite his final wishes, life down South wasn’t all sweet tea and charming hospitality. Throughout his childhood, Brown dealt with racism and class struggles and his father was incarcerated when he was just three years old. As a result, he was raised by his single mom, spending nights sleeping in their car to stay off the streets.

Music was (and still appears to be) his escape. The pivotal ’90s country artists he grew up on, like Shania Twain and Tim McGraw , had a strong impact on Brown’s early sound — as evidenced by hits like “What If’s” and “Used to Love You Sober.”

Something about that spirited pre-Millennium country revs up an audience, and it was just what we needed to get in the mood for “One Thing Right.” Brown’s trapped-up mashup with Marshmello delivers the best of pop and EDM: gutsy lyrics, punky guitar riffs, and a healthy dose of banjo for folk lovers.

There was even a faint pause when he turned the mic back to the audience. Everyone seemed to be looking back at him like, you sing it better, though . And that, he did.

“Been the kind of guy girls’ mommas don’t like/ Running with the wrong crowd on the wrong nights/ ‘Cause I’ve been wrong about a million times/ But I got one thing right, you.”

One thing sure was right: our boots were stompin’. And they were stomping even more by the time Brown showed off the other thing he did right — his pregnant wife Katelyn, who bravely joined him onstage to duet “Thank God.”

The pair wandered down opposite sides of the stage to meet in the center — their chemistry undeniable — harmonizing between beaming smiles and interlocked hands. Brown’s lofty baritone is a sharp contrast from his wife’s airy high notes, but somehow the two sound married for a marvelously tender ballad.

It was difficult to watch the couple break from their embrace, but Brown stops for nothing, rarely even taking the time to catch his breath, let alone take a second to sip water or speak to the audience. He likes to keep everyone on their toes, shuffling from set to set with little interruption.

“Lose It” was a brisk departure from the more intimate love songs; accompanied by flashing red strobes, heavy guitar jams, and flames so close we could feel the heat from the stands. It was a sexier diversion for the artist, something that warranted a few fist punches and head thrashes by his guitarists.

Maybe that was their cue. Tyler Hubbard and Parmalee returned to back up Brown’s popular small-town hymn, “Famous Friends.” He typically sings the uptempo anthem with Chris Young , but the duo stepped in just fine to holler “’Cause ’round here it’s all about the people that you know.”

Brown’s only pause came after “Memory,” in which he welcomed two fans onto the stage for a surprise proposal. After snapping a selfie, some gooing and gawing, and more than a few ladies in the crowd staring daggers at their naked ring fingers, he took the mic back.

The energy came down a notch as he dedicated “Homesick” to veterans in the crowd, followed by a pilot of “Haunted,” an unreleased single that candidly wrestles with the artist’s struggles with depression — a topic he’s been very open about on social media.

He capped off the night with the obvious crowd-pleasers, “Heaven” and “Like I Love Country Music.” While some may call that choice an easy out, I argue it’s pure genius — the ideal display of his total evolution as a crossover artist.

Brown’s rejection of the traditional country music machine has pushed the barriers of the genre, bringing in more experimental songs and casting a net on those lukewarm fans who may not be sold on Bluegrass or Americana.

Love him or not, the hitmaker has a rare ability to scrape the edges of so many styles — from 90’s county hymns to punchy pop, and smooth, singalong R&B radio hits — feeding the crowd tasty slivers of each and serving it up alongside epic staging and an uninterrupted performance.

For our money, ‘In The Air’ is a tour you don’t want to miss.

Kane Brown

“Everything in my job just feels different now,” says Kane Brown , on the eve of release of his third full-length album, Different Man , out tomorrow (Sept. 9).

For one thing, Brown stepped into the co-producer role for the first time, helping meld the country , pop, R&B, hard rock and hip-hop variants that have vibrated throughout his music since his 2016 eponymous debut studio album, and through its successor Experiment , which bowed atop the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart in 2018.

But his new role took a lot of time, patience and willingness to let the music lead. “We went from a demo to a master recording to redoing everything,” he explains. “I was listening to the album and not liking the sounds. For example, with ‘Nothin’ I’d Change,’ I really wanted it to sound like Motown at first. We had a lot of strings on it, but after listening to it, it was way too theatrical. We kept revamping things, working and finding the sound I’ve been looking for, adding in more rock and country sounds and all of that affects how I perform onstage and put my show together.”

Brown is the rare artist who can effortlessly toggle between major country trailblazer (in 2017, Brown became the first artist to simultaneously top all five major Billboard country charts) and pop hitmaker, having collaborated outside the country sphere with hitmakers like Khalid, H.E.R., Becky G and Marshmello. Sony Music Nashville and RCA Records have worked in tandem to promote different songs in different areas, and the work has paid off. On Aug. 28, Brown became the first male country artist to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he performed another song from the new album, the R&B-soaked “Grand.”

“That meant a lot to me, because that’s been my main focus, to open doors for other artists,” Brown says.

However, Brown first gained an audience through covering primarily songs made popular by neo-traditionalist country artists including Chris Young and Randy Travis. On Different Man , Brown rededicates himself to those early country influences and weaves them throughout the album, as evidenced by his recent eighth Billboard Country Airplay chart leader, “Like I Love Country Music,” which works in ‘90s country sounds (and namechecks). Brown first recorded the song in 2019, then re-entered the studio with producer Dann Huff to include it on Different Man , with guest vocals from Brooks & Dunn. Brown opens and closes the project with odes to his Georgia roots with “Bury Me in Georgia” and “Dear Georgia” (Brown was raised in the rural northern Georgia and the Chattanooga, Tennessee areas).

He also layers his new album with hard-edged songs such as “Riot,” a song he’s held onto since 2015: “That was the first time I met AKON and it was [one of his artists] who had the song and they gave it to me to share on Facebook when I was doing all of that. It kind of went viral but we never released it. The sound is just so crazy to it, and I took it to Dann and he just lifted that rock edge to it — and now I feel like it’s a masterpiece.”

As a biracial artist and a multi-genre hitmaker, Brown also finds himself in a unique position to address topics through his music that are infrequently approached within the modern country music sphere — but it’s through that hard-fought lens that a swath of the population can feel their own stories reflected.

On “Learning” from his debut album, Brown disclosed the childhood abuse, racism and prejudice he’s endured, while also singing about losing friends to drugs and gun violence. “American Bad Dream” from Experiment  addressed gun violence, while “For My Daughter” revealed Brown’s dedication to being the best father he can be, after growing up without his own father in his life (Brown’s father has been incarcerated since 1996).

Even “Bury Me in Georgia,” which finds Brown meditating on a final resting place, might seem a curious inclusion for any other artist not having yet reached the age of 30. But as someone who pursued his music career while watching friends lose their lives to drugs and gun violence — and who weathered the death of his friend and drummer Kenny Dixon in a car accident in 2019 — Brown brings a weightiness and wisdom to the lyric.

On Different Man , Brown again addresses his family lineage in “Pop’s Last Name,” this time honoring the maternal grandfather Brown says “was literally the only father figure I really had in my life. He took me to baseball games, took me fishing. He was a really sweet guy, always there for me and stood up for me.”

Brown doesn’t abandon his collaborative penchant on the new project, teaming with Blake Shelton on the title track, an ode to recognizing that some people are just irrevocably drawn to making music, performing and living the artist life.

“I was driving to the gym — that’s where I really have time to think and listen,” he says of bringing in Shelton on the song. “I wanted one more feature on the album, and Blake was the first person I thought of. The song just reminded me of the ‘God’s Country’ kind of Blake Shelton, so I felt like it made sense.”

The project’s other feature is the smooth pop ballad “Thank God,” his first recorded collaboration with his wife Katelyn Brown.

“She doesn’t want to be an artist — she just loves singing,” Brown explains. “She’s always singing around the house and her voice is beautiful. We’ve been looking for songs and probably went through about five of them before we got this one from one of my writers at [publishing company] Verse 2 and it was supposed to be a solo song. We changed it to a duet, and she fell in love this song. Personally, I think it is the biggest song off the record.”

Though collaborations like “What Ifs” with Lauren Alaina and “One Thing Right” with Marshmello have given Brown some of his biggest chart hits, he still harbors more collaborative ambitions. “Honestly, I keep saying my boy Jason Aldean, I’d love to have a song with him,” he says. “I’ve been wanting to do one with Jack Harlow. But honestly, I’m down for whoever as long as it makes sense and we can get something that’s gonna work.”

Brown previously opened shows on Aldean’s 2019 Ride All Night Tour, and says he gleaned wisdom in picking his own tour openers. Later this month, Brown will embark on his international Drunk or Dreaming Tour, which will include his first headlining tour dates in Australia and New Zealand, as well as his return to Canada and Europe. Next year, he will bring the tour stateside, welcoming openers Dustin Lynch, Gabby Barrett and LOCASH.

“I found that out in the early days when I was on tour with Aldean — the importance of having artists out with you that have similar fanbases, but also artists that you can really hang with, before or after the show,” Brown says.

Given his new collaboration with his wife Katelyn, Brown says fans can expect to hear them perform “Thank God” during his upcoming shows. Under the name Katelyn Jae, she previously recorded pop songs including 2014’s “24KT.” The couple first met in 2015, while Katelyn was living in Orlando.

“We’ll have a nanny that can watch the kids while they are sleeping, and then Katelyn can be onstage and sing with me,” he says. “We’ll do ‘Thank God,’ and she’ll sing Lauren’s part on ‘What Ifs.’ Katelyn hasn’t done anything musically since she left Orlando, so we just gotta get her bearings, like learning how to use the in-ears [monitors] onstage. She’s never used those before.”

Beyond his own hit songs, Brown has steadily worked to build his musical empire. Brown is signed to Sony Music Nashville and worked with the company to launch his own label imprint, 1021 Entertainment, last year. He followed with the launch of Verse 2 (in conjunction with Sony Music Publishing Nashville and longtime music publishing executive Kent Earls). His first signing to 1021 Entertainment was Restless Road (Brown previously worked with the trio’s members during a stint on The X Factor , and they opened for his 2019 tour), while his writer roster at Verse 2 includes “One Mississippi” co-writer Levon Gray, as well as Josh Hoge (“One Thing Right,” “Used to Love You Sober”) and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Rivers Rutherford.

“We’re just sticking to it and even with Restless Road right now, it’s been a bit of a grind,” Brown says. “They came in during this pandemic and they finally got their first song out to country radio [“Growing Old With You”], which was a huge step forward. I do think we kind of messed up taking a slow song [to radio] in the summer, but the song was amazing and they still get crazy feedback. We’re working on new music and getting them out on the road with other artists and just pushing forward,” he says. He’s also evolving his business ventures beyond music, having recently begun a management relationship with boxer Ryan Martin.

“Jake Paul and Logan Paul and the whole TikTok thing were really getting boxing underway,” Brown says. “My buddy Ryan reached out to me and I signed him and just wanted to help him with connections and things.”

For now, though, Brown’s predominant focus is returning to the road, bringing new music to fans, and ultimately, broadening and diversifying country music’s listenership.

“I just love bringing different fanbases together that you would never see together,” Brown says. “The key is that I’m not forcing anything. It just makes sense for me.”

Things to Do

Music and concerts, subscriber only, music and concerts | concert review: kane brown blows up country conventions at target center, the 30-year-old tennessee native is ambitious, to say the least.

Kane Brown raises both arms out toward the audience.

Country star Kane Brown certainly knows how to make an entrance.

His massive stage, covered with a scrim, went dark Friday night at Minneapolis’ Target Center as Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff” started booming out of the speakers. (It was the censored version, perhaps in deference to the surprising number of kids at the show.)

After some blockbuster movie-style music, pyro and belches of stage fog, the scrim fell away to reveal the 30-year-old Tennessee native perched atop a lighting rig far above the stage. He stayed there for the rousing opening number “Bury Me in Georgia,” the 11th of his (so far) 12 chart toppers on country radio.

But Brown’s definition of country is far broader than most in Nashville and he aggressively encompasses any number of styles, from arena rock to hip-hop to glossy pop.

To wit, his second song was “One Thing Right,” his 2019 collaboration with EDM giant Marshmello that hit the charts around the world. After a brisk run through 2017’s “What Ifs” — “This was my first No. 1 song,” he gleefully yelled to the crowd — the green lasers came out for “Grand.” With its heavy guitar, heavier synths and rapped delivery from Brown, it came across like a long-lost Post Malone single from 2016.

Brown loves to collaborate and Friday’s set included several of his high-profile matchups. And he’ll work with anyone and everyone, from fellow country star Chris Young on “Famous Friends” (openers Parmalee and Tyler Hubbard filled in for Young) to rapper/songwriter-to-the-stars blackbear on “Memory” (with prerecorded vocals from blackbear). The latter is one of five of his songs that crossed over to the Top 40 pop chart, which he noted from the stage with some pride.

The biggest collaborator for Brown has got to be his wife, Katelyn, with whom he’s produced a pair of daughters with a son on the way. The couple also make music together, specifically the 2022 chart-topper “Thank God.” While Katelyn has joined him onstage at some recent shows, she wasn’t in the house Friday. While the song is a fairly generic ballad, Brown has said he has already worked on more music with Katelyn. Presumably, the results will show up on his highly anticipated fourth album, which at one point he said was “about to come out” and then quickly corrected himself to say “it’s gonna come out.”

The audience roared for “I Can Feel It,” Brown’s most recent No. 1, and sang along to the samples of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” that anchor the song. But, really, the capacity crowd roared for pretty much all of the briskly paced show that clocked in at a mere 75 minutes.

Midway through, Brown took to a secondary stage to croon his way through the Hoagy Carmichael standard “Georgia on My Mind.” Brown’s a huge golf fan and it turns out the Masters asked him to cover the song to use during the tournament. He was so happy with the results, he said it’ll likely show up on his next record. While Brown’s not afraid to play with special effects and mannered delivery with his vocals, he sang “Georgia on My Mind” in a straightforward and powerful manner. The guy has some impressive pipes, which explains his pre-career attempts to land on “American Idol” and the like. (He actually made it onto “The X Factor USA,” but left after producers told him they wanted to place him in a boy band.)

Near the end of the show, Brown played “Haunted,” a widescreen power ballad about depression. He said it was supposed to be his next single, but his plans recently changed. Still, there’s no way it won’t show up on the next album and, judging by Friday’s show, Brown has big plans to get even bigger with his next move.

Kane Brown Teases New Music: Making 'Bangers' and Ignoring 'the Doubters' (Exclusive)

Brown did not offer a timeline for his next album but teased that fans can expect some 'crossover bangers.'

By Stephen Andrew - April 24, 2024 12:37 pm EDT

It's been two years since Kane Brown dropped his third album, Different Man , and the singer is now working towards his next. PopCulture.com had a chance to speak to Brown at a recent concert stop on his In The Air Tour , and he teased what fans can expect from his new music as well as explained that he's doing his best to ignore "the doubters" who criticize him for not being "country" enough.

Speaking exclusively to Pop Culture, Brown confessed that it's "always scary" when he begins prepping new music "because I look at the bad comments. I don't look at any good comments." Brown went on to say, "I want to show the doubters how country my music can be, but then I just get these crossover bangers, and I'm like, 'I got to put this on the album.'"

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kane Brown (@kanebrown)

The singer then very candidly explained, "Honestly, those songs do better for me. Like my songs that aren't the most country are my biggest songs." While he admitted that "it gets hard" to deal with the online trolls who post negative comments, Brown also noted that these keyboard complainers are "not listening to me anyway, so why should I care about them?"

Brown has already teased that he has a song on the way with masked electronic music producer and DJ Marshmello — whom he worked with on "One Thing Right" — and recently dropped two different songs: "Fiddle in the Band" and "The One (Pero No Como Yo)" with Mexican singer-songwriter Carín León.

In addition to touring and working on new music, Brown has also  teamed up with Crown Royal  for the "That Deserves a Crown with Kane Brown" contest. Crown Royal is inviting country music and whisky fans 21+ to nominate a veteran for a chance to win the ultimate concert experience at Brown's final tour stop in  Arlington, Texas , on Sept. 14.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will be a celebration of country music and the true heroes of America who deserve a Crown – military veterans. For every valid nomination, Crown Royal will donate $1 to the nonprofit organization, CreatiVets, to support their mission to help wounded veterans heal through music and the arts. Fans can visit  SummerSessions.CrownRoyal.com  through Aug. 15, for details and official contest rules.

Review: Country star Kane Brown disappoints at Target Center

D escending from the light rigging high above the scene, Kane Brown hovered over the stage on a small platform to kick off his concert Friday night at packed Target Center.

That's similar to the way the country superstar launched his show 27 months ago at the same arena. Only the outfit and the song were different. Instead of a Timberwolves jersey, Brown opted for a stylish black jacket with stripes made of fancy string and no ballcap. And the song this time was "Bury Me in Georgia," a stomping chant delivered with Brown's unmistakable buzzing baritone.

The outfit and the opener weren't the only things different. Brown's performance was louder and slicker, less personal and appealing than 2022′s terrific concert. And Friday's encore-less, seemingly rushed effort was remarkably short at only 75 minutes.

What was missing most of all was the 30-year-old injecting his story, personality and humanity into the show. Last time, on his first arena headlining tour, he shared his compelling and revealing backstory in conversation. The Tennessee-reared singer talked about wetting his bed at age 6, which resulted in his stepfather roughing him up and grandma turning in the abuser to authorities. He spoke about being the only person of color in his mom's family (he's biracial) and meeting his older siblings when he was 16.

Two years ago, he discussed growing up poor in trailer parks, wearing his water shoes to play basketball and attending seven different high schools. He recalled placing first and second in a high school talent show and giving his winnings ($75) to his mom.

And last time he got emotional thinking about his two daughters. This time, he mentioned his wife, Katelyn, only because she wasn't in attendance to sing their hit duet "Thank God." Her voice appeared via recording. After the song, Brown frowned, "It's always a sad song to sing when she's not here."

That was about as personal as he got all night.

Brown specializes in sentimental ballads like "Good as You," which was delivered on a small stage at the back of the arena, and "Heaven," a pretty celebration of love that was the penultimate piece on Friday. While those were smartly understated, his rendition of "Georgia on My Mind" — which he said he recorded for the recent Masters golf tournament — found the inviting intimacy of his croon on the small stage obliterated by the too-loud band playing 70 yards away on the main stage.

The six-man band provided plenty of power on "What Ifs," "One Mississippi" and the kinetic "Fiddle in the Band."

"I'm a little bit of bass, 808s, a little bit of clap your hands/I'm a little bit of six strings on a backbeat with a fiddle in the band," Brown sang between twangy blasts from his band on the latter number.

Indeed, he's one of the most open-minded and eclectic musical figures associated with country music. Not only has he collaborated with an array of country stars including Blake Shelton, Chris Young and Lauren Alaina but EDM ace Marshmello, Latin pop star Camila Cabello and R&B stalwarts Khalid, H.E.R. and John Legend, to name a few.

On Friday, Brown offered his Marshmello number "One Thing Right" as well as his duet with rapper Blackbear, "Memory," and his Young collab "Famous Friends," with opening acts Parmalee and Tyler Hubbard joining in on the party tune.

Brown, whose fourth album is due this year, introduced one new number, "Haunted," about struggling with depression. He said it was going to be his new single until two days ago; he didn't elaborate. The alluring selection was enveloped in flame throwers, fireworks and a ponderous electric guitar solo.

After closing with the honky-tonk boogie with buzzing rock guitar of "Like I Love Country Music," Brown reprised what he did last time at Target Center: Stripped off his tank top, tossed it to the crowd and exited.

Opening act Hubbard has been on a hot streak since he left the blockbuster duo Florida Georgia Line a couple of years ago. The Georgia native, 37, has landed a trio of tunes in the top-three slots on Billboard's country chart. But the well-crafted material he played Friday was geared more to the radio than an arena. During his 45-minute set, Hubbard connected with the crowd only on the Florida Georgia Line crossover smash "Cruise" and his own breezy bop "Dancin' in the Country."

Kicking off the night was Parmalee, a North Carolina quartet with three No. 1 country hits on its resume, but the group needed to offer Usher's "Yeah" to spice up their bland country-pop set.

50 Cent Says Quavo Has to 'Come With Some Heat' Following Chris Brown's Diss Track

On Friday, Brown lobbed more insults at Quavo on his new track, "Weakest Link."

If there’s one thing 50 Cent loves, it’s conflict.

The Queens native chimed in on Chris Brown and Quavo ’s newly reignited beef, taking to Instagram to post a clip of Brown’s new diss track, “Weakest Link.”

“Oh my God i just heard this,” Fif wrote. “If Quavo don’t come with some heat it’s a wrap. First the Fat Boys break up now this!”

View this photo on Instagram

The Fat Boys mention is a reference to the 1992 movie, Boomerang , where Chris Rock’s character bemoans the rap trio disbanding. The group parted ways in the early 90s, just before the movie's arrival. Jay-Z later quoted Rock in The Blueprint album cut, “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love),” opening the track by rapping, “First the Fat Boys break up, now every day I wake up/Somebody got a problem with Hov.”

On Friday, Brown unleashed his diss track in response to the Migos rapper’s song “Tender” from earlier this month—which was his answer to Brown's song "Freak."

In addition to “Weakest Link” featuring artwork of Quavo eating a huge hotdog, the song mentions Quavo briefly dating Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karreuche Tran. Brown also claims he hooked up with Saweetie while she and Quavo were together, fires back at Quavo by referencing him assaulting Saweetie in an elevator , and says that everyone wished Quavo had died instead of Takeoff.

"You fucked my ex-ho, that's cool, I don't give no fuck, lil n***a/'Cause I fucked yo' ex when you were still with her, bitch, I'm up, lil n***a," Brown rapped.

On “Tender,” Quavo wonders why Brown wants to provoke a fight over Tran, and also appears to allude to Brown’s 2009 domestic violence case with Rihanna.

"You did the bitch wrong and now the bitch gone, she posted with a thug," he raps on the hook. "Call the bitch phone, she won't come home, don't beat her up/It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug."
