What Are Those Official Platinum Tickets?
If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.
Artists can choose not to offer Official Platinum or limit the amount for charity purposes. The Cure , Pearl Jam and U2 have all been recognized as artists that don’t use these dynamic pricing tactics.
Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. They can be bought during a presale without a presale code (doesn’t always apply to Verified Fan). Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.
If money is not an object, you should definitely bank on the convenience of getting Official Platinum tickets.

Earth, Wind & Fire are a music institution. In 1969, music legend Maurice White birthed the music force named after the elements from his very own astrological charts. With soul as deep as the plant, Earth, Wind & Fire charted a history that will live on forever. They’ve scored eight number one hits and have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. They’ve released 23 albums; eight of those albums went Double Platinum and hit the Top 10, making them one of the best-selling artists of all time. They’ve won an impressive nine GRAMMY® Awards including one for Lifetime Achievement (2012). In 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, cementing their lasting impact on popular music and, in 2019, their contributions to arts and culture was acknowledged in Washington DC with the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors.
The music of Earth, Wind & Fire is more alive than ever as they continue to inspire new audiences and thrill those who have been with them from the beginning. Like the elements in their name, Earth, Wind & Fire’s music has withstood ever-changing trends in the world and shows no sign of vanishing as they continue to create joy and uplifting music that will forever reach a sacred universal atmosphere. From the funky and infectious “Let’s Groove” to the timeless dance classic “September” to the heartfelt “Reasons,” Earth, Wind & Fire’s catalog of hits has become the soundtrack to many lives; now, then and forever.

Are you ready to go back in time with some old-school jams? Because Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire are bringing their most memorable songs on the road with them this summer for the “Sing A Song All Night Long Tour.” Today (March 6), Richie made the video announcement on Instagram. The 73-year-old songwriter wore a black shirt and jacket as he shared the news while fans could watch glimpses of past performances of the Alabama native and the popular ’70s/’80s band.
“Well, my friends, the time has come to announce a tour,” the “Easy” songwriter said. “Not just any tour, but the tour I’ve been trying to do for years. And now it’s going to actually happen. ‘Sing A Song All Night Long.’ Lionel Richie, Earth, Wind, & Fire, together on the same stage, and I’m inviting you to the party. So join us; this is the place you need to be.”
Richie rose to fame in the 1970s as a songwriter and the co-lead singer of the Motown group Commodores. In 1981, he wrote and produced the single “Endless Love,” which he recorded as a duet with fellow icon Diana Ross. A year later, Richie launched his solo career with his debut album, Lionel Richie . It sold over 4 million copies.
Now, the four-time Grammy Award-winning singer judges the singing competition show “American Idol.” He joined during its 16th season and has held onto his chair ever since. The show has launched several well-known artists’ careers, including EGOT recipient Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Jordan Sparks, and Ruben Studdard.
In partnership with Live Nation, the tour’s opening night will be on Aug. 04 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The co-headliners will head across America until their final stop on Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, California. Tickets will be on sale on March 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

Lionel Richie And Earth Wind & Fire To Co-Headline The ‘Sing A Song All Night Long Tour’ This Summer
What’s better than one legendary artist going on tour? Well, two legendary artists co-headlining a tour, of course. Iconic singer/songwriter/producer Lionel Richie and iconic group Earth Wind & Fire are tuning their instruments, gassing up their tour buses and planning out their bedazzled outfits in preparation for their just announced Sing A Song All Night Long Tour .
The two headliners are sharing the bill on what is guaranteed to be one of the biggest (and dare we say best) concert tours this summer. Named after classic songs from both artists’ deep catalogs, the Sing A Song All Night Long Tour will run from August through September and take the fellas from coast to coast all across North America.
Lionel and EWF will kick off the arena tour in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 4th. From there, they will trot off to Chicago, Toronto, NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Atlanta, Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Seattle and Vancouver to name a handful of the 20 cities that they’ll bless with shows. The tour will wrap up in Los Angeles on September 15th to end summer on a soulful note.
Richie is excited about this tour, which has been on his vision board for a while. “Well, my friends, the time has come to announce a tour — not just any tour, but the tour I’ve been trying to do for years, and now it’s going to actually happen,” the “Penny Lover” singer happily stated in a video announcement posted to his socials.
