Parkway Drive Return With 2023 U.S. Tour Dates

After canceling their spring U.S. tour earlier this year, Australian metal outfit  Parkway Drive have announced a set of American tour dates for 2023. It'll be their first time performing in the states since 2019.

The run kicks off in January onboard the Shiprocked Festival, which is set to hit Port Canaveral, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Amber Cove. Then, at the end of the month they'll play a show at the Wiltern, and the trek will wrap up in mid-February at the HeartSupport Festival in Orlando, Fla.

See the full itinerary below. Tickets go on sale this Friday (Oct. 28) at 10AM local time.

As previously stated, this upcoming set of dates will be Parkway Drive's first time performing across the U.S. since 2019. They originally had an American run plotted for earlier this year, but canceled it in April  and released a statement to explain the situation.

"It has always been 100 percent commitment or nothing. We feel the limit has been reached and we don't want to fuck this up," the band wrote. "The same devotion that we have put into everything before, we are now putting into processing what these 20 years have done to us. With this, we aim to grow and return stronger for what is yet to come."

The statement stirred a lot of speculation within the group's fanbase, but a month later, they assured everyone that they weren't going anywhere . Then, in September, they embarked on a European tour, so it looks like the break was beneficial for them.

Parkway Drive Announce 2023 U.S. Tour Dates

It is the band’s first American run since 2019

Australian metal juggernauts Parkway Drive are returning to the U.S. next year for a headlining tour. The band is touring in support of their latest album Darker Still which is out now via Epitaph Records. It’s also the first time the band has toured the U.S. since April 2019.

The trek begins with an appearance on the Shiprocked Cruise from January 22 through January 28. Upon docking, the band will kick off the tour with a performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on January 31. Parkway Drive will perform in Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, Nashville, Charlotte, and more. The run wraps up on February 18 with a performance at HeartSupport Festival in Orlando, FL. Memphis May Fire and Currents will serve as special guests on all headlining dates.

Australian metallers Parkway Drive will celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band with a 2023 US headlining tour dubbed “Monster of Oz.” Living up to its name, the outing will feature an all-Aussie bill including The Amity Affliction , Northlane, and Make Them Suffer.

The tour kicks off September 10th in Atlanta and runs through an October 7th appearance at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California. A Live Nation pre-sale starts as early as today (April 18th) at noon ET in select cities via Ticketmaster using the code VINYL , while general sales start Friday (April 21st). Fans can also look for deals and find tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program

“Twenty years is a milestone in any career,” said Parkway Drive singer Winston McCall in a press release. “The journey that has lead us to this moment has been insane, to say the least. We wanted to mark this time with a tour that represents who we are and where we come from.”

He added, “For the first time on North American soil, we are bringing the fully-formed version of the Parkway Drive live experience, and if that wasn’t enough, we’re bringing an all-Australian lineup with us. No compromise, no surrender. This is who we are — The Monsters Of Oz. Come celebrate with us and burn it all away.”

Parkway Drive released their seventh album, Darker Still , last year. In August, the band will unveil an expanded version of their 2004 debut EP Don’t Close Your Eyes on vinyl.

Parkway Drive Announce First U.S. Tour Since 2019

Parkway Drive have announced a U.S. headline tour for winter 2023. The trek is a particularly big deal because 1) it will be the Australian metal stalwarts' first stateside run in support of their recently released seventh album, Darker Still , and 2) it'll be the band's first U.S. tour in nearly four years. Though rumored for awhile, the openers for Parkway Drive’s North American tour have been confirmed. Originally announced in early July , it’s now official ; joining the Australian metalcore band in late October will be Miss May I, Thy Art Is Murder, and In Hearts Wake.

The band also added two more dates in November, one in Calgary and the other in Edmonton, making it five shows in Canada (get full tour dates here ) this time around.

Parkway Drive has released two music videos from their upcoming album, Ire , which is due out September 25th. Both “ Crushed ” and “ Vice Grip ” came out in recent months to promote this fifth album, their first since 2012’s Atlas .
