Coming out of California, USA, Korn are one of the most influential bands of the past thirty years. Since forming in 1993, they effectively created the genre of Nu-Metal and are one of the biggest heavy metal bands in the world to this day.

The band was formed out of three members of the experimental thrash metal band L.A.P.D. When that band broke up the remaining members, or at least the ones still talking to each other, drafted in vocalist Jonathan Davis and guitarist Brian “Head” Welch and heavy metal history was made.

They instantly made a splash, legend has it that they even drew a crowd outside the studio they recorded their demo tapes in, since their music was so thrillingly different to anything being released at the time.

By 1994 they’d released their self titled debut album, which remains one of the most influential rock albums of the 1990’s and has sold 10 million copies in the years since. This is especially astounding considering that in terms of lyrical content and musical style, Korn were up their with Nirvana in terms of sheer darkness.

The music can get very difficult to listen to at points, with Davis bravely opening up about childhood traumas with unflinching honesty, all the while backed with Welch’s dissonant, wrenching guitar riffs. With that in mind, their astronomic sales and influence becomes a testament to their ability to connect with the lost and distraught more than anything else, and if that’s not a truly inspiring thing then I don’t know what is.

Korn might not be the most critically acclaimed band around but the figures and the fans speak for themselves, and no matter what Pitchfork might think, they speak louder than anything else in the world of rock and roll.

Live reviews

Korn: a full circle experience, crop or otherwise and on beyond! When I first saw Korn my husband suggested going to their concert back in 1998. Neither one of us knew much about them or their music at the time and what I knew did not make me feel stoked about going at the time other than to keep Steve company. I was certain I would be bored to death and how happy I am to say how wrong I was! I did a complete about face within the course of one night and now want to see them every time they come to our area. Up to now we have seen them about thirteen times all told as well as singer Jonathan Davis on his solo tour when I won our way in to it with a meet and greet! Davis knows how to work the crowd encouraging audience participation. Not only that, but I enjoy his soulfulness and expression and how his voice alternates between singing, whispering and shouting during different songs and moments. His bag piping intro to "Shoots and Ladders" is one part of any given concert of theirs I look forward to at the concerts. As we have been to their concerts on and off over the years, we have seen them in different forms with a couple members coming and going over the years, one of whom returned to the band within the last year. Before his departure after the first seven albums drummer David Silveria provided the band with his funky back beat and style. After he resigned from the band Davis whose main instrument was originally drums, contributed in that department along with tapping Terry Bozzio from new wave band Missing Persons for Korn's 2007 album "Untitled." While on the road Korn borrowed now-former Slipknot's Joey Jordison whose thrashy, cacophonous sound provided the perfect rhythm.

In 2008 Korn searched for a new permanent drummer during which former Army of Anyone's Ray Luzier auditioned and was subsequently hired after nailing multiple drum solos from their repertoire. With Korn's constant shape shifting of their brand of nu metal over the years, Ray with his highly versatile style was and is the perfect match for them. Bassist Reggie "Fieldy" Arvizu with his slap bass technique has said that he regards himself as a second percussionist within the band, thus complimenting Ray's drumming. Furthermore I get a kick out of how Fieldy sometimes seems to dance as he's playing, as if he were doing the cha-cha!

Prior to leaving in 2004 and later rejoining the band in 2013, Brian "Head" Welch was one half of the guitar section along with James "Munky" Shaffer. In 2004 Welch left the band to raise his daughter during which time he also became a Christian. Throughout those interim years Korn experimented with other styles and sub styles including dub step and Shaffer expertly played both guitar parts on recordings and the road, although Korn also used hired guns in both areas to play the second guitar part at times. When listening both in concert and to albums from different points in their career, though, one notices that the guitar passages are more nuanced with two in the lineup. Furthermore, diehard fans across the board welcomed Welch back with thunderous applause and loud cheers when I saw Korn last year. Through the years at every concert I have attended Korn have always delivered the goods whilst firing on all cylinders. In addition to amazing props and backdrops used show by show, they put slightly different spins on their performances whether they are in a smaller venue with a more intimate setting or a bigger arena where getting caught up in the hoopla becomes highly infectious! It is interesting to note as well that Davis does not tend to chat up the audience to a high degree; rather the band segue their way into songs one by one all but nonstop. And nothing could be better than a meet/greet opportunity with the band to make for a grand night out!

The first time I saw Korn was at Slipknot's Prepare for Hell Tour in January 2015. Unfortunately, I'd arrived late for the first band but made it in time just as they walked off stage and twenty minutes later, the Kings of nu-metal took over the stage. I'd been getting into Korn a few months before, and we honestly more excited to see them than Slipknot - and they didn't fail to disappoint, blaring out all their hits for 40 minutes. I remember wanting/needing to see them at a full concert and a few weeks later, I was giving the opportunity to see them again at Brixton. I snatched the tickets up and counted the days down until they day arrived.

And arrived it did.

We arrived an hour before the doors opened, and the que was already bending round the corner of the building. Finally, an hour and 10 minutes over the opening time later, we were allowed inside.

My friend and I were in the unreserved seating. As soon as we cleared through all the checkpoints, we made our way to the front, climbing over rows. Three rows from the front, we found our seat with a good birds eye view of the stage. We waited with anticipation through the first two starter bands, eager for the main event to start. Finally, and after a few teasers, Ray Luzier came on stage to start of the night with Blind. The crowd cheered, and adrenaline pumped through everyone's veins as Fiedly appeared on the bass. Finally, the three words growled out from Davis's mouth "Are you ready?" and the unforgettable night begun.

Korn blasted their way though their first debut album, released 20 years ago and tonight was all about celebrating the release of an album that changed the world. Every note was perfect, and Davis's voice boomed through the speakers and pierced through our souls. The album ended with the emotional 'Daddy' before Davis slammed the microphone down; walking off the stage. The lights dimmed and everyone cheered and clapped.

A minute later, the iconic microphone was brought on stage and the band reappeared to play us two hits (Falling Away From Me and Here To Stay) before ending the night out with Freak On A Leash.

Out of 10, I'd give this concert a 1,000. One of the best bands I've seen live to date, and it defiantly won't be my last.

I went to KoRn with my dad. I promised him every time KoRn plays in the Netherlands we would go.

So I was happy I found out they were playing in Utrecht. I go to school there so I knew it wasn't that far away.

This was my first time in TivoliVredenburg. I read some bad things about the service. So I was a bit worried.

The service was good! I've never been treated so good as a person in a wheelchair. They helped with everything!

So as we say in dutch: "petje af Tivoli!"

The band before KoRn wasn't that good. I actually hated it. There was a little moshpit, someone got hit, everything stopped.. boring..

Then KoRn started! It was a great opening, very intense..

They played some songs they didn't play for a long long time, like 4U. Of Course the bagpipe solo was amazing and Ray's solo as well!

The only thing I didn't like was seeing Jonathan Davis wearing an oxygen mask.. I don't know how he's feeling right now.. I Hope he's okay and is enjoying the rest of his tour!

KoRn thank you for the great show, this was really the best show I ever been to! (4th time)

My husband and I attended Korn's show, October11th in Tampa, Florida. They played for 2 electric hours and played songs they knew the fans would love to hear and they hit their mark. In the mix of their song set, they played 3 of their new songs from their upcoming album, The Serenity of Suffering due out October 21st and if that was a small taste of what's to come....our taste buds are sure to be satisfied for sure! This group has been together for over 20 years and they keep making amazing music. JD was clearly having as much fun on stage as we did as fans, dancing, interacting with the crowd and guitarist, Munky, Head and bass player Fieldy. Ray is a master on his massive drum set and I dare you to try and keep up with your eyes and his hands as he's pounding those skins. If your a true fan, you wait and hope to hear that first note of JD breathing air into his magical bagpipes, and as witnessed at last night show and shows of the past, it was no exception. Once you hear that first note from his pipes, there's only one thing you need to ask...Are You Ready!!!!

Seen Korn many times in the past. Thinking it's been 5+ times so far. I'm a big fan , no doubt, but each time the playing time has dwindled to 45 minutes and getting smaller. Granted they weren't headlining and Slipknot was, but still... The production and music was great, but its seems that ever since the old bass player came back they have been playing mostly songs off the first couple of albums. I definitely like those songs, don't get me wrong, but I think it would do them good to take some statistics from Spotify or the like and determine what the top 15 songs being listened to are. Also, I love loud music. Love it! BUT you will be deafened by this concert. For once I brought ear plugs and it saved me. Sounds stupid , but consider yourself warned. I mean the "Marshall stacks" and the speakers hanging on either side of the stage looked like arena side burns. Think they may be growing! ha!

Korn was Great as always ,I was kind of suprised that they place wasnt packed. The deadest Korn concert I have ever gone to.But it could be the Venue .Not the best venue in my opnion .One dont dare forget to get your ticket from your spouse or they wont let you back to your seat ..and 2 if you go out one way you wont be able to get back the same way necessarily like what happened to me.They wont let you. .Knotfest was packed and alot crazier then this place but I never got asked for my ticket to get back to my seat.Considering people were seat hoping all night anyways and they upgraded a bunch if not all the lawn area to seating ..Pretty damn dumb .I figure if I own a seat and someone sits in it.I just get it back .Pretty damn strict for a place that has never really been a popular venue and sure wasnt packed last night .

With their sound system and great instrumentation all locked into a great groove, Korn are better than they ever were before! As to any wild antics, the one that stood out that was unfortunately unfavourable entailed a nasty woman whom I called out after she attempted to shoehorn her way up to the front where I'd staked out a spot and then subsequently attacked my husband. Hiccups of that nature along with a moderate delay with no explanation nonetheless paid off, in particular with Jonathan Davis as he serenaded us on the bagpipes upon kicking off 'Shoots and Ladders'! Not only that but the pre-concert meet/greet was super as was a little recognition in the form of a point and smile from Munky Shaffer up front toward the end of the night!

Terrible show and a massive disappointment.

There were no warnings before entering the venue about use of strobe lights, and I didn't see any signs indicating use of strobe lights at all. As a result, I was caught off guard by the use of the strobes and felt sick for a couple of days afterwards.

The show itself used a lot of strong coloured lights to illuminate the stage too, which combined with the smoke machine, as someone who is colour blind meant that I could not see the stage for 80% of the show. The times I could, my eyes were hurting too much from the strobes to see anything.

So overall, it was a massive let down for a band I have wanted to see live for many years.

Korn is a teenage crush, and a trip to the good old years everytime I listen to them.

I saw them around 2005 in Portugal in a festival, and it was an amazing experience. Easily one of the heaviest concerts I've ever been, the mosh pit was insane if that's what you're looking for. The look of the band is great, with Jonathan's signature microphone, and with cages with dancer girls in, creating a really cool atmosphere.

Their music is as good live as it's on album, and their sound matured to be more eletronic and more new age, but for me this is still focused on getting back to the classics and listening to those really heavy songs they had, that made me in part who I am today.

Wow. What an amazing concert! The venue was decent (The Fillmore) but there is little seating available, so be aware.

As for Korn, it was the twentieth anniversary of their debut album and they played it in its entirety. There are some sound bites of out takes on the album that they included, as well. It was kinda cool because they replicated the album exactly as you hear it. After they went through that playlist, they did another 4 or 5 popular songs, so it wasn't just the album. You can search the set list online. Apparently it changes from concert to concert.

It was my second time to see Korn )first time as a headliner) and it was definitely worth it!

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. Formed in 1995, the group was founded by percussionist Shawn Crahan and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in their early days, the band consisted of nine members for the greater part of their tenure: Sid Wilson, Paul Gray, Joey Jordison, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor. However, the death of Paul Gray on May 24, 2010 and the departure of Joey Jordison on December 12, 2013, left the band with seven remaining members. They are a well know for their masked appearance and dark themed dress sense, they are widely considered one the most prolific and controversial metal bands.

Slipknot and Korn have been announced as the two headliners for Knotfest Japan in 2023.

Set to perform on April 1 and 2 at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall, the two iconic American metal outfits will be joined by Japanese heavies Maximum The Hormone (of which Corey Taylor’s son Griffin is a fan) and Man With A Mission. More acts are due to be announced across both days.

Knotfest Japan was originally scheduled to take place in March 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID pandemic, and has since been slated for January 2021 and February 2022, but now the travelling Slipknot Roadshow is finally making its way across the Pacific. The trek two day engagement marks the legendary Iowa band’s first time back in Japan since 2016’s Prepare for Hell Tour.

slipknot and korn tour

After nearly 40 years and 12 studio albums, Slayer decided it was time to say farewell back in 2018. They launched The Final Campaign, a massive world tour that wrapped up in November of 2019. Throughout their career, Slayer played nearly 3,000 concerts around the globe. They have received several awards, including five GRAMMY® Award nominations and two Best Metal Performance wins for “Eyes of the Insane” (2007) and “Final Six” (2008). They have multiple live recordings, greatest hits compilations, live concert films and two box sets under their belt. With over 20 million albums sold worldwide, their discography boasts multiple Gold records, and they had their own exhibit in the Smithsonian Institute.

Slayer guitarist Kerry King recently unleashed the first taste of his highly anticipated solo project. The debut single, “Idle Hands , ” is from his forthcoming album,  From Hell I Rise . It was produced by Kerry King himself, alongside Josh Wilbur (Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, Korn). It is slated to arrive on May 17 through Reigning Phoenix Music. For the record, King recruited Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph, Death Angel vocalist Mark Osegueda, Hellyeah bassist Kyle Sanders, and former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel, who briefly toured with Slayer back in 2018.

In May, Kerry King and his band are scheduled for a featured performance at  Sonic Temple  in Columbus, Ohio with Disturbed, Misfits, Pantera, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Sleep Token, Falling In Reverse, 311, A Day to Remember, Clutch, Mr. Bungle, Mudvayne, and others.

They are also slated to perform at  Welcome to Rockville  in Daytona Beach, Florida alongside Mötley Crüe, Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Judas Priest, Falling In Reverse, Greta Van Fleet, Breaking Benjamin, Anthrax, In This Moment, Primus, Architects, and many more.

Mötley Crüe live

Ahead of their world tour back in February, Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard played two warm-up gigs at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Last week, Mötley Crüe  announced plans  to return next year. The group will play two shows on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 15.

In May, the Crüe are headlining  Welcome to Rockville  in Daytona Beach, Florida. Also topping the bill are Foo Fighters, Slipknot, and Limp Bizkit. Other feature performers are Judas Priest, Disturbed, Queens of the Stone Age, Greta Van Fleet, Falling In Reverse, Breaking Benjamin, and more. In June, the band is headlining Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From there, they head to Canada for an appearance at the Ottawa Bluesfest in July, plus a headlining concert at Scotiabank Arena in Calgary.

Mötley Crüe ’s last studio album was 2008’s  Saints of Los Angeles . The band is currently working on  new music  with producer Bob Rock, and John 5 on guitar. Back in March, original guitarist and founding member Mick Mars  retired from touring . For the global run, the Crüe  enlisted John 5  to handling guitar duties on the road. Now, at appears as though John 5 will be recording with the band as well.

Slipknot live

Later this year,  Slipknot  are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal self-titled debut album. The record put a little-known nine piece from Iowa on the map. Now, the group is heading back out on the road next year to commemorate the landmark LP.

Released on June 29, 1999,  Slipknot  came out in the thick of a hard rock renaissance. Filled with hits like “Wait and Bleed,” “Spit It Out,” “Surfacing,” and more, the album peaked at No. 51 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums chart. From the get-go, Slipknot announced their arrival by kicking the door down with the opening track, “(sic),” an absolutely brutal assault that would set the tone for a career extending over two decades, filled with chart-topping albums, sold out tours, and massive festival headlining slots.

Last June, the band released their  Adderall  EP . The collection features three versions of the single from their last album,  The End, So Far . The record also contains three previously unreleased demos – “Red or Redder,” “Hard to Be Here,” and “Death March” which appears to be a slowed-down version of “Adderall” in reverse. The band also revealed a video for “Memories,” a rough demo of “Adderall.”

Subsequently, Slipknot parted ways with keyboardist Craig Jones. Jones had been a member of the band for nearly three decades. Slipknot confirmed the news on their official social media.

“To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones,” the band said in a statement. “We wish jones all the best for the future.”

Jones joined Slipknot in 1996 after the departure of guitarist Donnie Steele. His time on guitar was short-lived, as he quickly moved to keyboards and sampling. Slipknot brought in Mick Thomson to take over guitar duties.

Last November, Slipknot dismissed long-time drummer Jay Weinberg in a shocking announcement.

“We would like to thank Jay Weinberg for his dedication and passion over the last ten years. No one can ever replace Joey Jordison’s original sound, style, or energy, but Jay honored Joey’s parts and contributed to the lat three albums and we, the band, and the fans appreciate it. But as ever, Slipknot is intent on evolving. The band has decided to make a creative decision, and to part ways with Jay. We wish Jay all the best and are very excited for what the future holds.”

Slipknot are returning to Europe and the UK next December for a headlining arena tour. The run begins on 5 December in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with stops in Germany, Switzerland, France, and more. Very special guests for the trek will be Bleed from Within. Check out the full tour itinerary below.

Slipknot ’s seventh studio album  The End, So Far  arrived last September via Roadrunner Records. The record peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and hit No. 1 across Billboard’s Top Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums charts. Joe Barresi (Avenged Sevenfold, Chevelle, Clutch) produced the album, after having mixed Slipknot’s 2019 outing  We Are Not Your Kind . Back in February, Slipknot surprised fans with a new song  “Bone Church . ”

Korn Matt Bishop

Korn’s last studio album was 2022’s Requiem. Produced by the band alongside Chris Collier, the record hit No. 1 in several countries around the globe. It peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart and the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums chart. Throughout their career, Korn have sold over 40 million records worldwide, while being one of the most original and influential acts in heavy music.

Reliving the chaotic moment Korn and Slipknot teamed up to play Beastie Boys' Sabotage live on stage

Was this the greatest metal team-up ever?

Korn and Corey Taylor on stage

Some might argue that the nu metal era peaked in the early 00s, but for a few thousand fans lucky enough to witness one special night in London in 2015, a generation of heavy music reached its zenith live on stage at Wembley Arena.

Korn and Slipknot had united for a blockbusting, nine-date arena tour across the UK that January, and the two metal titans had rolled into England's capital city on a cold Friday night. What was already poised to be a special evening, however, looked set to stage something extra special, as a cryptic post on Korn's Instagram account hinted that the two bands might be planning a little cover song together.

Sure enough, after smashing through a rollocking Freak On A Leash , Korn - who were playing before Slipknot at each show - would initiative a moment that'd be forever sealed in nu metal history.

"You know guys," began Jonathan Davis, "we put together a little special thing just for this show tonight with our brothers in Slipknot - come on out here and let's do this shit!"

Cue Slipknot's arrival - amusingly dressed in a combo of their iconic masks, stage gear and casual clothes - and both bands kicking into an enjoyably chaotic rendition of Beastie Boys classic, Sabotage . Unsurprisingly, Wembley lost its shit. The team-up cover was never repeated again.

"Me and Jonathan did not come up with that idea, actually," Slipknot's Corey Taylor later revealed. "That was [Korn bassist] Fieldy's idea. We had been kinda joking about doing something together at one of the shows, and Fieldy was, like, 'Why don't we just do  Sabotage ?' We all kinda dug it, we got together, we jammed it out, and the rest is history. So, good on you, Field."

However it came about, one thing was for certain: Wembley had just witnessed something truly special.

SLIPKNOT's COREY TAYLOR Explains How KORN Collaboration On BEASTIE BOYS' 'Sabotage' Came About

To mark the announcement of SLIPKNOT 's "Summer's Last Stand Tour" with LAMB OF GOD , BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and MOTIONLESS IN WHITE , thousands of fans posted great questions for SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor to answer. You can now watch the question-and-answer session below.

Asked how he and KORN singer Jonathan Davis came up with the idea of covering the BEASTIE BOYS song "Sabotage" at the two bands' January 23 concert at The SSE Arena in London, England during their joint U.K. tour, Taylor responded: "Well, me and Jonathan did not come up with that idea, actually. That was [ KORN bassist] Fieldy 's idea. We had been kinda joking about doing something together at one of the shows, and Fieldy was, like, 'Why don't we just do 'Sabotage' ?' We all kinda dug it, we got together, we jammed it out, and the rest is history. So, good on you, Field ."

Prior to the London concert, a posting on KORN 's Instagram account hinted that the two bands were "maybe doing a cover tonight in London" with a photo of the musicians performing together in soundcheck. KORN later announced on Twitter that a video of the entire "Sabotage" performance would be made available at some point in the future. They also released "a little teaser" of the collaboration, featuring footage shot with a GoPro camera that hovered over the band and the crowd.

In an October 2014 interview with the "Metal Hammer Radio Show" , SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor stated about touring with KORN : "Not only were they the band that we loved, but we also aspired to what they had. It wasn't until a handful of years later that we actually got to meet them and we got to know them, we got to be very close with them, to the point where now it's very weird to think that [ KORN frontman] Jonathan Davis has me on a first-name basis. It's crazy when the bands you look up to become your peers; that's a pretty big statement to what you've done, especially with that band, because I have so much respect for what they've been able to do and what they've accomplished, and just how far they've been able to push their music. I mean, it's fantastic. This is something that we've been trying to put together for a very, very long time. Just putting together a tour with them and finally, finally we get to do it and it just felt like the right time. They were available, we were ready to do it and the rest is going to be history."

Davis was similarly excited about sharing the stage with SLIPKNOT , telling a radio station in Philadelphia: "We've been longtime friends with the SLIPKNOT guys, so we're really excited to be doing this tour… We've done stuff together… We had Corey come out and sing 'Freak On A Leash' one time live, and then when I got sick back in Europe in '06, he covered for me on a show and sang a couple songs, because I was in the hospital and couldn't perform."

SLIPKNOT 's first major U.S. headlining tour in support of its new album, ".5: The Gray Chapter" , dubbed "Prepare For Hell" , also featured KORN and KING 810 .

The trek kicked off on October 29, 2014 in El Paso, Texas and wrapped up on December 7, 2014 in Boston.

".5: The Gray Chapter" sold around 132,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on October 21, 2014 via Roadrunner .

Slipknot announce one-off intimate gig tomorrow

It will mark the band's first show with their new drummer

Corey Taylor, Slipknot

Slipknot are set to play a one-off intimate gig this week – find out more below.

  • READ MORE:   Slipknot’s Clown talks 2024 tour and new material: “This band has never been happier”

Per the band’s new You Can’t Kill Me website – which first made headlines after a new billboard popped up in California earlier this month – the band will be playing to a crowd of 350 attendees at the Pappy + Harriet’s barbecue bar in Pioneertown, California on Thursday (April 25).

Tickets to the event are now completely sold out, but cost USD$9 per ticket, with a strict limit of two tickets per purchase. It will mark the band’s first show of the year, as well as their first show with the Iowan metal band’s new drummer, who has yet to be confirmed.

Slipknot will be donating all of the show’s proceeds to the Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter and BOYS & GIRLS CLUB of the Hi Desert.

Slipknot's Clown

The upcoming intimate gig comes after percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan told NME that the band are “going back to basics” this year to celebrate their 25th anniversary . “We’re going back to basics. I’m ready to kick everybody in the face again! I’m ready to do a 100-person venue again! I’m ready to do a 500-person venue…”

The gig comes at a time when rumours of new music from the band has been percolating among their fanbase.

The last album the nu-metal icons released was  ‘The End, So Far’ , which arrived back in August 2022. It proved to be the last full-length LP before the departure of both keyboardist Craig Jones, who left the group in June , and Jay Weinberg, who was suddenly kicked out of the line-up shortly after .

In the time since, Slipknot have been  teasing fans with hints about a new drummer, posting a photo of a single broken drumstick online with the caption “Rehearsal.”  However, according to the comments on the post, it looks like the band have more than live shows planned.

In other Slipknot news, fans have become increasingly certain that they have worked out the identity of the new drummer – speculating that the new member is former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande. This comes following  the Brazilian metal band recently announcing that they had parted ways with the longtime member  ahead of their final world tour.

Speaking to  NME  about what Slipknot have planned for 2024 , founding member Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan said: “I’m ready to move on from what has been, and move onto a world that I know needs to be. For instance, normally we’d have about two years on and one-and-a-half years off — we’re not doing that anymore.”

They will also be returning to the UK this winter  to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album .  Visit here  for remaining tickets.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Till Lindemann wears thick glasses while looking down in a photo.

Till Lindemann is leaving Rammstein behind in 2024.

Starting in September, the bombastic frontman will embark on his first solo U.S. tour with special guests Twin Temple and Aesthetic Perfection in support of his 2023 solo album “Zunge.”

Midway through the fall run, the 61-year-old drops into New York’s The Rooftop at Pier 17 on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

While this will be Lindemann’s first solo stateside jaunt, it won’t be the first time he’s performed without Rammstein.

Most recently, he wrapped an international 2023-24 solo tour in Mexico, according to Set List FM . On that run, he regularly performed 19 songs — including two encores — per show.

While we can’t guarantee what he’ll bring to the stage on his forthcoming North American tour, we do know the best way to find out is live.

Can’t wait to see the lively Lindemann?

You’re in luck. Tickets can be snagged for all of his 2024 U.S. and Canada concerts and festival appearances as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 26, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Till Lindemann tour schedule 2024

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues, and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Till Lindemann festival appearances

This September and October, Lindemann will lend his talents to a pair of heavy multi-day musical extravaganzas.

For a closer look, here are the dates, venues and fellow headliners at both festivals.

Till Lindemann set list

As noted above, Lindemann wrapped his 2023-24 in Mexico on Jan. 4.

Here’s what he performed that night, courtesy of Set List FM .

01.) “Zunge” 02.) “Schweiss” 03.) “Fat” 04.) “Altes Fleisch” 05.) “Allesfresser” 06.) “Golden Shower” 07.) “Tanzlehrerin” 08.) “Ich weiß es nicht” 09.) “Sport frei” 10.) “Blut” 11.) “Praise Abort” 12.) “Platz Eins” 13.) “Fish On” 14.) “Gummi” 15.) “Steh auf” Encore

16.) “Knebel” 17.) “Ich hasse Kinder” 18.) “Skills in Pills” Encore II

19.) “Entre dos tierras” (Héroes del Silencio cover)

Till Lindemann new music

On Nov. 3, 2023, Lindemann dropped his solo album “Zunge.”

Comprised of 11 tracks, the heavy rocker stretches his musical muscles and alternates between intimate quiet and chaotic, epic loud — the sound Rammstein is known for — with ease.

Highlights include the quirky “Sports Frei,” thumping “Altes Fleisch” and the warbly anthem “Du hast kein Herz.”

Personally, we were most taken with the Ennio Morricone-esque “Tanzlehrerin” with its guitar licks, yearning vocals and gifted yet pained backing singer giving her all behind Lindemann.

Don’t sleep on the shockingly fun album closer “Selbst verliebt,” either. It’s an unexpected pop delicacy.

Want to hear for yourself?

You can listen to “Zunge” in its entirety here .

On Christmas 2023, Lindemann followed up the album release with the whirly, tongue-trilling single “Entre dos tierras” en español.

It has our stamp of approval as well; the song is quite a bit of fun.

Till Lindemann special guests

At all shows, Lindemann will be joined by a pair of opening acts.

To make sure you’re acquainted with their sounds, you can find each band’s most-streamed song on Spotify below.

Twin Temple: “Lucifer, My Love”

Aesthetic Perfection: “Spit It Out”

Till Lindemann controversy

Lindemann was accused of sexual assault by a female fan last June over social media. She alleged he drugged her at a pre-show Rammstein VIP party in Lithuania and later approached her fox sex during intermission.

This led to a backlash against Rammstein’s “VIP Experience;” fans believed Lindemann was using the ticket tier to bed fans.

After looking into the case, German prosecutors dropped the case due to a lack of evidence and testimony.

“The rapid termination of investigative proceedings by the Berlin state prosecutor’s office shows that there is insufficient evidence that our client allegedly committed sexual offen(s)es,” Lindemann’s lawyers said.

Rammstein drummer claimed Lindemann “has distanced himself from us in recent years and created his own bubble” and “things seem to have happened that, although legally ok, I personally don’t think are ok.”

Huge metal acts on tour in 2024

If Lindemann’s brief jaunt isn’t coming to a venue near you, we have just the solution.

Here are five metal acts that might be headed to your city these next few months.

•  Rob Zombie with Alice Cooper

•  Limp Bizkit

The 2024 Korn Ferry Tour schedule includes 26 events, hundreds of travel hours, and thousands of decisions to strategize. In the end, a single stroke could be the difference between fulfilling a lifelong dream and waiting until next year.

That’s the Korn Ferry Tour’s dramatic reality, which is depicted on “One Shot Away.”

The series, produced by PGA TOUR Entertainment, goes behind the scenes in capturing the essence of players’ lives inside and outside the ropes, seeking any marginal advantage that could potentially save a stroke throughout the season, which could prove the difference in earning a PGA TOUR card or returning to the Korn Ferry Tour in 2025.

The top 30 finishers on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, finalized after the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance in October, will earn 2025 PGA TOUR membership. That’s the goal, with various ways to get there – it could be a couple of big weeks, or a series of steady showings. If past is prescient, the graduating class will include a mix of promising up-and-comers and wily veterans, looking to follow the lead of Scottie Scheffler (Korn Ferry Tour Class of 2019) and ascend to world No. 1.

Who will hear their name called at the season finale and receive a coveted PGA TOUR card? That’s anyone’s guess, and that’s the Korn Ferry Tour’s beauty.

Here's a capsule look at the 2024 cast of “One Shot Away” and the six Korn Ferry Tour members who are each seeking their first PGA TOUR card for 2025:

  • Tim Widing : The Swede attended high school with Ludvig Åberg and looks to join his countryman on TOUR in 2025. Widing is a trick-shot enthusiast who played collegiately at the University of San Francisco and earned his first Korn Ferry Tour title at the LECOM Suncoast Classic in April.
  • Fred Biondi : The University of Florida product authored a nifty double in 2023, winning the NCAA Division I men’s golf individual title while also helping the Gators win a team championship. The Brazil native finished No. 2 on the 2023 PGA TOUR University Ranking, behind only Åberg, to earn Korn Ferry Tour membership.
  • Ross Steelman : The Missouri native began his college career at the University of Missouri before transferring to Georgia Tech, where he finished No. 4 on the 2023 PGA TOUR University Ranking to earn Korn Ferry Tour membership. Steelman, 23, learned the game at Perche Creek, a hybrid go-kart track/mini golf course and driving range in his hometown of Columbia, Missouri, and his family drove to various junior events across the Midwest in his formative years – a la Scheffler.
  • Cooper Dossey : The Texas native played collegiately at Baylor University, where he became the school’s first First Team All-American in 2020, and he spent two years on mini-tours before earning Korn Ferry Tour status via PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry last fall. Dossey, 26, embraces his stutter, stamping his wedges with words that he struggles to say. He also hosts a podcast called “The Stutter Putter.”
  • Sam Choi : The gregarious Californian graduated from the University of New Mexico before spending a fifth collegiate season at Pepperdine in 2022-23, finishing No. 11 on the PGA TOUR University Ranking before turning pro. Choi, 23, finished No. 2 on the 2023 PGA TOUR Canada’s season-long Fortinet Cup to earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for this season. Outside of golf, he enjoys pickleball and spikeball.
