Itinerary - Jordan 360°: Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea

Welcome to jordan.

Round trip flights are not included in the package, so you can choose from where and when you want to fly. This is to give you maximum freedom of choice!

Check-in at our hotel in Amman , then it's time to kick off this trip with a wander round the local souk, where there's always something for everyone!

Wadi Mujib and the Dead Sea

Who's ready for some adventure? After a short journey we'll find ourselves in one of Jordan's most scenic areas: the Wadi Mujib River !

It is time to hike the Wadi Mujib, a river surrounded by a nature reserve with a majestic canyon . We'll be trekking against the current, clambering over the rocks (so let's be prepared to get wet!) until the grand finale.... a dip in the impressive waterfall ! There are several routes of varying difficulty, so the group can decide what works best for them together!

Floating in the Dead Sea

And we're off to float in the Dead Sea to tick it off the bucket list! The Dead Sea water is ten times saltier than the ocean making it much more dense...sinking won't be an option but a rejuvenating natural mud bath could be!

PLEASE NOTE: Wadi Mujib hikes are closed from October to March. For the departures between these months, the Travel Coordinator will organise alternative excursions.

Kerak Castle and Little Petra

It's an early start today because we will travel several miles towards Petra!

However, there will be chances to stretch those legs on the way, stopping by one of the many castles that dominate the picturesque scenery .

Kerak Castle is the second largest castle in the region and the most important crusader castle in the Middle East after the Syrian one. Ready to explore its fascinating history?

Little Petra

Siq al-Barid canyon is located a few miles from Petra and here we will admire architecture similar to the one in Petra, but smaller in size, hence the name of Little Petra. The atmosphere will immediately make us step back in time, with sculptures of ancient divinities carved from the stone.

For those in search of the perfect souvenir, now it’s time to wander around the stalls selling handicrafts made by the locals . Tonight we have a wonderful experience: a dinner at the Jordan Heritage, a non-profit association, where we will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in local history, traditions and culture.

Splendid Petra

And here we are in Petra , a sight that will leave us breathless!

A beautiful narrow gorge leads us to the famous Treasury , a carved stone structure, built to house the tomb of Areta III.

We will then continue our visit by entering the Street of Facades, where more than 40 tombs carved into the rocks can be admired. After that, we're off to the top of the Jebel Madbah and then down to see temples, tombs, a palace and a Byzantine Church , famous for its floor mosaics. The ancient Theatre boasts a capacity of around 3,000, whilst In the old Roman part of the city we'll be able to admire the Great Temple , dedicated to the Nabatean divinities, as well as the Qasr al-Bint ruins, the palace of Pharaoh's daughter and the medieval castle ruins.

Along the path that leads to the Monastery , we will see the biggest monument of the entire site: the Winged Lion Temple.

Wadi Rum Desert

More adventure awaits... Wadi Rum here we come !

Wadi Rum is an amazing desert surrounded by red-coloured rocks and impressive mountains. From the visitor center, we're off on a four-wheel drive vehicle to explore the desert of Lawrence of Arabia.

Among all the unforgettable hidden gems the extraordinary Um Fruth Bridge stands out – it's a suspended rock bridge in the middle of the desert and one of the most photographed spots in the whole of Jordan. After such an intense and exciting day, it's time for a typical Bedouin dinner and a chance to stargaze while sleeping in a Bedouin tent in Wadi Rum. Will we spot any shooting stars?

The Red Sea

The last stop before heading back to Amman is the seaside city of Aqaba for a day of pure relaxation. The Red Sea with its crystal clear water is the ideal place for divers , as you can spot corals as well colourful fish and giant turtles. There'll be plenty of options to keep ourselves entertained: shall we opt for a water sport or a boat tour ? Whichever our choice, let's end the day celebrating with a nice cold beer at sunset.

The Old City

We'll leave early in the morning to reach Amman , ready to discover the hidden corners of this fascinating city! Old Amman was built on 7 hills like Rome and, in fact, it boasts Roman ruins, like the columns of the Temple of Hercules . From a panoramic viewpoint we'll get a bird's-eye view of the Roman Theatre, the main square with its fountain and the Odeon, an amphitheatre where live music is performed every night!

The other side of Amman

Jabal Amman is a modern district just a few minutes away from the centre. On our way there we will stop at the King Abdullah Mosque , the only mosque in the city that is open to visitors. Shopping in Amman is a must, and we can find goods ranging from international designer clothes to locally produced items like precious stones and metals.

Rainbow Street

This is Amman's most vibrant street ! Why not spend the last hours in Jordan hopping from cafés to souvenir shops and have some fun! As our tour comes to a close, we gather for a memorable finale – a cooking class where we unlock the secrets of the local cuisine.

It has been an incredible adventure, immersing ourselves in a timeless culture and country. Here's to the unforgettable moments we've shared together, cheers!

Iceland trip

I had an amazing experience on the WeRoad trip to Iceland. It didn't all go exactly to plan but it's kind of expected for a place like Iceland in January. The co-ordinator Nerlit was amazing at adapting our situation to get the most out of it, especially considering we had storms and last minute road closures. I would say don't treat the itinerary as gospel if you're going to somewhere like Iceland where the weather can change in an instant. I also met some amazing people from all different places which made the trip 10000x better! Graded 4 instead of 5 due to issues with our car insurance, however they were kind enough to give a good discount for our next tour so it worked out well in the end

Egypt Express Review

Had an amazing time diving into the history and culture of Egypt with a great group of people. Our coordinator Yas did a fantastic job listening to our wants and making it a reality. He really did his research to provide us a fantastic knowledgable Egyptologist guide for our tours that really added to the value and enjoyment I got from them. You could tell Yas made all efforts to make our experience as enjoyable and inclusive as possible. Would book with WeRoad again.

Egypt Express

Egypt Express trip was packed with amazing experiences and definitely proofed that Egypt is not only about Pyramids. We had lovely walking tours in the city as well as Pyramids, amazing food and such a fun group, coordinated by amazing Yaser! He went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Cairo Express - Incredible!

Just finished the March 2024 Cairo Express tour with Yaser and it was more than I could have ever imagined! We covered a lot of ground in such a short period or time and gelled so well as a group, but definitely wouldn't have been the experience it was without Yaser organising everything for us! I just completed the Egypt Express…

I just completed the Egypt Express trip, and it was truly amazing from beginning to end. Yaser managed everything flawlessly, ensuring we had the best possible experience and made the most of our time despite the short duration. I'm incredibly thankful for his impeccable organization and vibrant personality, which made me feel at ease throughout the journey. Knowing Yaser was our travel coordinator gave me confidence, and I would gladly book another trip with him in the future.

Made me feel secure

Swedish Lapland WeRoad was amazing

Swedish Lapland with WeRoad was incredible. So many amazing activities, dog sledding, snow shoeing, snow mobiling and more! We even saw the Northern Lights when we were least expecting. Axel our coordinator made everything a breeze so we just had to relax and enjoy the tour.

Trip to Japan- don’t go!!

Trip to Japan, was looking forward to spending 10days exploring the country. First hotel on first night was cancelled & we were moved to a different hotel over 20 min walk away. Took weroad over 5 hours to sort out. One week in & we turn up to hotel & again its not booked, only this time it took them over 7 hrs to then offer a sharing double bed (yes, 2 people in one bed) in a smoking room. When declined by all 14 people on trip, weroad left us stranded & we had to book 2 nights elsewhere ourselves. They did not sort out or help us in our hour of need They have turn a dream holiday into a nightmare Would not use weroad again. Its an absolute disgrace that they did this to the group & co-ordinator. Our co-ordinator was amazing and cannot be faulted, this review is NOT against her, it against the company!! Don’t bother booking as you will be stranded!!

Great company!

The company came recommended by a friend who had previously traveled with them. It was my first time travelling to the Amalfi coast with them and I enjoyed the whole experience. The tour guide (Kala) had arranged everything before hand, there was no issue with transport to and from cities. She insured we have free time as well as group activities. There was no pressure to do all the activities so people were able to do their own thing as well. Would definitely recommend them for solo travellers.

An absolutely unforgettable time in Lapland

An absolutely unforgettable time! Our coordinator Axel was so lovely and totally accommodated each group member making sure everyone was happy, having fun and always laughing and dancing, always going above and beyond at every opportunity! The tour was easily adjustable and there was a perfect balance of group activity and alone time. Highlights of the tour would be seeing the Northern Lights, dog sledding and snow shoe hiking! Would defo recommend the Swedish Lapland tour! Thank you!

Swedish Lapland

This was my second WeRoad trip, and what a trip it was. We packed so much in in such a small space of time, and had so many laughs. I really recommend this tour, especially if you get the opportunity to do the snow mobile, the snowshoe hike and the ice climbing! My highlight would have to be seeing the northern lights unexpectedly on our last night (not on the train) and dancing under the aurora on the way back from Abisko. Our coordinator Axel really went above and beyond to help everyone in the group where needed, helped us all become a group of friends rather than strangers, and ensure everything ran smoothly.

Sweden Lapland Trip

Amazing itinerary, activities I never thought I'd have the chance to do that ill never forget. The co-ordinator Axel was fun, friendly, caring, was always trying to keep everyone involved and knew how to get the group laughing. He had a great friendship with all of the travellers and I always felt like I could confide in him with any issues if I ever had any. The tour itself was well structured and the ideal length of time with nice accommodations. The highlights of the trip were dog sleighing, snow mobling and even seeing the northern lights which was an amazing moment for more then just seeing the northern lights. A trip I will never forget and I can't wait to do another we road.

THE BEST TRIP I HAVE BEEN ON!!!

THE BEST TRIP I HAVE BEEN ON!!! I went on a trip to Sweden with Axel as my coordinator (by the way the best coordinator on the plant). At Stockholm we met up at Hotel Generator which I met the most amazing people, after we met up we then went out and explored Stockholm. The next day we went on a tour which showed us the history of of Stockholm. The day after we went on a night train which was a cool experience (first time on a night train). There were different amazing activities we did like, Husky Sledding, Moose Safari, Snow Mobiling. I had an amazing week and I would recommend going on the Sweden Lapland trip or going on a trip with Axel.

Had the time of my life in Costa Rica!

Had such a wonderful time in Costa Rica with WeRoad! I was lucky to be with such a great group of people; we all got on really well. Our coordinator, Aga, was so fun, friendly, and inclusive; she just wanted us all to have the best time possible. I loved that the itinerary was so jam-packed and full of great activities (beach time, nature walks, kayaking, white water rafting, zip lining and more!). It was nice to not have to think too much and have everything already organised for you - each day we were given details for what we would be doing and what we would need for the next day's activities. Highly recommend WeRoad if you are looking to experience great adventures with fellow solo travellers.

SA with Weroad

From booking to arrival I felt informed. I received timely reminders around when to complete documents and make payments. I lfnj had questions they were reaponded to clearly and quickly. The leader of our group was fantastic and cared very much about is getting the best experience, always working on what we could do to maximise our time. WeRoad Eyes U.S. Adventure Tours Market After $19 Million Raise

WeRoad is capitalizing on millennials' affinity for adventure and travel by catering to their desire for exploration and social connection.

WeRoad , a European-based tour operator, has secured €18 million ($19.6 million) in a Series-B funding round led by H14, bringing its total raised capital to €36 million ($39.3 million).

Headquartered in Milan, WeRoad will look to consolidate its focus on  millennial group adventure travel  in Europe before expanding to the U.S. and other English-speaking markets. This year, the company expanded to France and Germany, adding to its presence in Spain and the UK.

WeRoad tours see people from similar age groups travel together (25-30 year and 30-49 years) led by travel coordinators who are fellow travelers selected as group leaders after a vetting and approval process. These travel coordinators can apply to create custom itineraries, which are then sold as WeRoad-branded trips on its WeRoad X marketplace.

The company said the marketplace will see further development and a WeRoad X app to connect travel coordinators and suppliers like destination marketing companies through “off-travel” meetups and events.

Riccardo Porcelli, head of digital investments at H14, called WeRoad’s development of its community and platform “resilient, especially among millennials.”

“In just five years, and despite a global pandemic, we’ve managed to capture the group adventure travel market,” said WeRoad CEO Andrea D’ Amico.

D’Amico added that the company had doubled its turnover and increased its community of travel coordinators in Europe from 1,200 to 2,500 over the past 12 months.
