Travel Trailers Under 20 Feet Cover

Sharing is caring!

Travel trailers under 20 feet are often the sweet spot of recreational vehicles. They’re best for those who don’t have kids and don’t have to go through the dreaded annual visits from the “in-laws.”

When it comes to a travel trailer under 20 feet, buyers want the most out of less. Since they are shorter, sub-20’ travel trailers often sacrifice certain amenities in the name of “smallness.” But you’d be surprised at what a little innovation can do in limited spaces.

A travel trailer under 20 feet also opens the door for more towing options since their lightweight allows prospective new owners to tow with smaller and even all-electric vehicles.

How are Travel Trailers Measured?

When travel trailers under 20 feet are measured, does it include the hitch? For a thorough answer to this question, check out our article called Does Travel Trailer Length Include the Hitch?

For the most part, travel trailers advertise on their exterior length, with height being a factor high on the list as well. In fact, the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association recommends that advertising reflects floorplan length in RV marketing.

1. nuCamp Tab 400

nucamp Tab 400 Travel Trailers Under 20 Feet

Our Pros and Cons

✅ Compact, aerodynamic, and easy to tow

⛔ It’s not constructed for extreme cold or extreme heat environments

  • UVW: 2,840 lbs
  • GVWR: 3,133 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 372 lbs
  • CCC: 293 lbs
  • Length: 18’ 3”

It takes a lot to make a teardrop camper into a camper you can stay in for more than a weekend, yet nuCamp has done just that with the Tab 400 . There’s a standard package and boondock package, the latter offering a more aggressive, off-road profile.

Either way, the Tab 400 offers enough sleeping space for three and features a wet bath and a full dinette that takes advantage of the large windows. The exterior galley features a two-burner stove top, kitchen sink, microwave, and fridge, with a ton of extra prep space.

2. Little Guy Mini Max

little guy max camper under 20 feet

✅ The galley is on the inside and fully loaded

⛔ Often a little difficult to shift from the driver’s side to the dinette bench

  • UVW: 1,993 lbs
  • GVWR: 2,900 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 280 lbs lbs
  • CCC: 907 lbs
  • Length: 17’ 2”

The Little Guy Mini Max went for the exterior, retro look while including all of the modern amenities and features a teardrop aficionado could want. It’s almost too big to be considered a teardrop, despite the immediately recognizable look.

The entire galley is inside, and it still features a wet bath, plenty of standing space, and a comfortable dinette. If you want to move the party outside, the exterior features plenty of accommodations for grills and a retractable, 6’ 3” awning.

3. The Meerkat

The Meerkat is a travel trailer under 20 feet long

✅ The Meerkat is so light you can tow it with almost anything

⛔ Bring additional jugs of water to accommodate your water needs

  • UVW: 900 lbs
  • GVWR: 2,000 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 100 lbs
  • CCC: 1,100 lbs
  • Length: 13’

The Meerkat prides itself on its ultra-lightweight factor while allowing room to stand up. It’s definitely tall enough, at least for most people. While the interior is not enough to maintain a full kitchen or a bath, you still get a single burner, sink, and a portapotty.

The Meerkat’s pop-top feature provides you with plenty of headroom. The interior also includes a U-dinette, which neatly converts into a full-size bed with a slide-out shelf. There’s also plenty of storage, and since the dry weight is so light, you can pack a bunch of outdoor toys in the Meerkat.

4. Forest River Wolf Pup 14CC

Forest River Wolf Pup 14CC is a camping trailer under 20 feet

✅ Includes a ton of windows for a spacious, well-lit aesthetic

⛔ Bathroom is split to save space

  • UVW: 2,884 lbs
  • GVWR: 3,900 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 400 lbs
  • CCC: 1,016 lbs
  • Length: 19’ 3”

Despite being the biggest travel trailer of the first four, the Forest River Wolf Pup 14CC is still incredibly lightweight, with a surprisingly spacious and well-lit interior. Though the bathroom is split in half to save space, this also enabled Forest River to include a full bathroom.

The queen-size bed has several storage options and feeds directly into the hallway, which runs down the center of the travel trailer to the exit on the opposite end. The galley features a dinette, a full range of kitchen appliances, and a drop-down TV easily viewable from the queen bed.

5. Lance 1475 Travel Trailer

Lance 1475 Travel Trailer is a camping trailer under twenty feet

✅ Unique blue and gray vibe that’s comfy and relaxing

⛔ Fridge location is at a 90° angle from the entryway

  • GVWR: 4,500 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 340 lbs
  • CCC: 1,616 lbs
  • Length: 19’ 8”

This Lance is loaded with a cool blue and gray vibe that begs you to sit down and relax. Depending on the floorplan you choose, you can replace the captain chairs with a sofa, but Lance’s decision to eliminate the dinette saves a ton of space.

The kitchen doubles as an entertainment room, with two captain chairs and a small central table. The aft corner of the 1475 features a dry bath opposite the refrigerator and exit, while the opposite side contains the Queen mattress and some overhead storage.

6. Winnebago Micro Minnie 1808FBS

Winnebago Micro Minnie 1808FBS is a travel trailer under 20 feet

✅ One of the most spacious layouts for a travel trailer under 20 feet on the market

⛔ No stovetop vent and the vent fan for the trailer is a bit small

  • UVW: 3,914 lbs
  • GVWR: 5,000 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 336 lbs
  • CCC: 1,086 lbs
  • Length: 20’

Winnebago decided to throw two axles onto the short body of the 1808FBS , and it’s a fantastic addition, balancing the weight nicely throughout. As for the travel trailer itself, it’s incredibly spacious and roomy for just 20’. The brochure says it sleeps three, but you could get away with more.

For boondocking, Winnebago supplies a 190-watt solar panel to keep your batteries topped off. With the single slide for the dinette and the high suspension, the 1808FBS will surprise you in terms of where it can go.

7. Forest River R-Pod RP-190

Forest River R-Pod RP-190 is a camper under 20 feet long

✅ The kitchen aesthetic is immaculate eye-candy

⛔ The lack of a Murphy’s bed makes for tight sleeping quarters

  • UVW: 2,960 lbs
  • GVWR:  3,788 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 307 lbs
  • CCC: 828 lbs

If you enjoy the space-age, titanium aesthetic that Forest River tends to embrace in some of its lines, you’ll love the R-Pod RP-190 . It’s challenging to mold a kitchen, dinette, bathroom, and bed layout in narrow trailers, but Forest River pulls it off with the R-Pod.

The dinette and a Queen Bed sit on opposite ends of the travel trailer, with a dry bath and galley on opposite sides of the width. A slide-out expands the kitchen in all its titanium-looking glory. The dual-burner is a nice addition though it does detract from the available counter space.

The Murphy Bed would have been a better, space-saving option, but there’s still plenty of space around the existing queen.

8. Prime Time Avenger 16RD

Prime Time Avenger 16RD exterior picture of a camper trailer under 20 feet

✅ Oversized pass-through storage beneath the bed

⛔ The central location of the bathroom may be off-putting for some

  • UVW: 2,939 lbs
  • GVWR:  3,890 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 390 lbs
  • CCC: 951 lbs
  • Length: 20’ 11”

The Prime Time Avenger 16RD is one of those jacks-of-all-trades, master of none travel trailers.

It does everything exceedingly well without blowing your socks off with some mind-numbing gimmick. It’s a highly reliable travel trailer, especially if you opt for the climate bundle.

The 16RD has an affinity for Blue LEDs which cover the exterior lighting, awning, and outlets throughout the RV.

It lends a unique ambiance and a relaxing atmosphere to the entire setup. The 16RD includes a full, dry bath, opposing beds (when you flip the dinette), and a robust kitchen area as well.

9. Highland Ridge Open Range Conventional 172FB

Highland Ridge Open Range Conventional 172FB floor plan

✅ Excellent living and sleeping space

⛔ No additional sink in the bathroom

  • UVW: 3,075 lbs
  • GVWR:  3,750 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 280 lbs
  • CCC: 675 lbs
  • Length: 19’ 3”

The whole idea behind the Conventional 172FB was to create a spacious environment with more sleeping room in a travel trailer under 20 feet long. Highland Ridge succeeded and even threw in some nice blue LEDs as well.

The kitchen area is one of the largest on our list, with Blue LED dials and an overhead microwave. There’s plenty of countertop space to work with, and there’s also a shower and toilet on the other side of the wall.

10. Airstream Basecamp 16

Airstream Basecamp 16 is easily under 20 feet long

✅ Multipurpose backdoor is incredibly convenient and versatile

⛔ Wet bath is all-metal, which may not appeal to some

  • UVW: 2,635 lbs
  • GVWR:  3,500 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 435 lbs
  • CCC: 865 lbs
  • Length: 16’ 3”

No list is complete without an iconic Airstream. The Airstream Basecamp 16 was too unique to ignore. The wraparound, deeply tinted windows give you a clear view of your surroundings. And, Airstream took the stainless steel look to a whole new level, bringing it inside and out.

The backdoor is one of the biggest highlights, with a large enough space to support mountain bikes, kayaks, or any additional gear you want to bring along. The Basecamp 16 was built like a mountain basecamp and will go nearly everywhere.

11. Venture RV Sonic Lite Ultra Lite SL150VRB

Venture RV Sonic Lite Ultra Lite SL150VRB is one of the best travel trailers under 20 feet long

✅ Sonic included a 34” stand-up shower with limited space (impressive)

⛔ Not enough windows

  • UVW: 3,180 lbs
  • GVWR:  3,885 lbs
  • CCC: 705 lbs
  • Length: 19’ 11”

Sonic is impressive in its ability to cram so much into such a tiny space. Their floorplans are prime examples of innovation under duress. The Ulta-Lite SL150RVB is one of their smallest options, yet it comes with everything you would expect to find in a travel trailer longer than 25’.

The 60” x 75” Murphy Bed was an outstanding choice for a space-saving design, and they even included a full, dry bath with a sizeable shower with plenty of elbow room. Kudos to Sonic for including pass-through storage as well.

12. Happier Camper HC1 Studio

Happier Camper HC1 Studio is one of the best fiberglass travel trailers under 20 feet

Our Pros and Cons

✅ Modular (Cube) arrangement for interior space and sleeping

⛔ You’ll have to dispose of your waste in sealable bags

  • UVW: 1,800 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 180 lbs
  • CCC: 1,700 lbs
  • Length: 13’ 5”

If you could supply a definition for the word “cute” using only travel trailers, the Happier Camper HC1 Studio is the only one you would need. This adorable little camper features a modular interior (known as “Adaptiv”), meaning you can arrange a series of cubes to fill the space with a Queen bed or arrange it into a living room.

It’s hard to believe a camper this small would feature a full bathroom, but here we are. The dry flush toilet negates the need for a black water tank, and the modular shower simply moves outside when you’re ready.

13. Safari Condo R1713

Safari Condo R1713 is a teardrop camper under 20 feet long

Our Pros and Cons

✅ Crazy, cool, powered retractable roof design

  • UVW: 1,825 lbs
  • GVWR:  2,700 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: N/A
  • CCC: 875 lbs
  • Length: 17’ 3”

Alto seriously ups the “wow factor” with the Safari Condo Alto R1713. The press of a button raises the roof and creates a glass masterpiece of sunshine and airiness. Everything in the Alto is modular, and even the kitchen swings out of the way when needed.

The R1713 includes a full kitchen, toilet, and dining area, the latter of which converts in several different ways. Whether you want a dining area, a bed, a U-couch, a single bed, or a single sofa, the choice is entirely up to you.

  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 450
  • CCC: 1,310 lbs
  • Length: 20’ 7”

It also features a full, dry bath and a ridiculous number of storage options. You’ll also enjoy the outside with the 12’ awning and a rear hookup for a propane grill or griddle.

15. Winnebago Hike H172BH

Winnebago Hike H172BH is under 20 feet long

  • GVWR:  4,200 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 518
  • CCC: 604 lbs
  • Length: 20’ 7.5”

The Winnebago Hike H172BH is Winnebago’s attempt to address the needs of outdoor enthusiasts who need something small that can go anywhere. Boondocking is also covered with a 100-watt Go-Power! Solar panel.

The flooring is marine-grade, and the tanks feature heating pads for cold-weather camping. The exterior features a roll-cage shell designed for stacking mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, or anything else you need for outdoor adventuring.

16. Jayco Jay Feather Micro 171BH

Jayco Jay Feather Micro 171BH is one of the best travel trailers under 20 feet

  • CCC: 1,220 lbs
  • Length: 20’ 2”

The kitchen is the stand-out feature of the Jayco Jay Feather Micro 171BH . The two-way refrigerator is a fan favorite, thanks to all the room it provides. The 171BH comes with a Blackstone Griddle for the exterior hook-up and is a fantastic addition.

The dry bath features a full tub, sink, and toilet, and they even managed to stuff some bunkbeds in the 171BH as well. With the convertible dinette, this Jayco can easily sleep five.

Ember is rapidly evolving its smaller travel trailers in response to consumer demand. The latest result is what Ember calls their “generational” trailers, able to withstand sub-freezing and excessively hot temperatures.

The Ember Overland 171BH is designed to be the do-it-all boondocking machine, and it includes a 190-watt solar panel, while the advanced package comes with a 570-watt variation and a 3,000-watt inverter.

18. Grand Design AIM 18BH

  • GVWR: 4,795 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 441 lbs
  • CCC: 731 lbs
  • Length: 21’ 11”

Where most travel trailers go with the dinette, Grand Design decided to go with a bar, and the result is an incredible aesthetic that offers a ton of additional counter space. The design of the Grand Design AIM 18BH leaves plenty of room behind the barstools, so nothing is lost with the addition.

The bunks and the queen bed are enough for four, but you could arrange for another couple of people inside. The exterior is a festival of features as well, with pass-through storage, Lp quick-connects, a griddle, a spray port, a 15’ awning, and a large baggage door.

19. KZ Sportsmen Classic 160RBT Hybrid

  • CCC: 650 lbs
  • Length: 19’ 2”

The KZ Sportsmen Classic 160RBT Hybrid did just that. They manufactured a travel trailer with pop-up tent beds on each end.

As a result, KZ was able to include a 72” bench seat, a large kitchen area, a full dry bath in the corner, and a booth dinette with a pantry. The outside features a 12’ awning and a trunk door for extra storage space as well.

  • UVW: 3,433 lbs
  • GVWR: 4,931 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 581 lbs
  • CCC: 1,498 lbs

Lightweight for its size, the Flagstaff E-Pro E19FBTH is made for towing by vehicles that wouldn’t normally have any business pulling a travel trailer of this size. One thing is for sure, it’s lightweight and doesn’t affect the interior style and accommodations.

The Flagstaff features a massive bench seat near the entryway, right across from a residential-style stove and a kitchen that’s fully loaded. Thanks to the flip-up bench seat, there is plenty of room in the rear to drop the cargo door and load up your favorite toy.

21. inTech Flyer Discover

The inTech Flyer Discover was made with a singular focus on toy hauling. Everything is a happy addition to that. There’s even a full kitchen and enough sleeping room for 4 to 6 people.

Once your toys are on the ground, you have a massive amount of space to work with inside. Since the kitchen is upfront, what you decide to do with the remaining space is up to you.

22. Oliver Legacy Elite

Oliver Legacy Elite is a high quality fiberglass trailer under 20 feet long

✅ Interior is narrow and incredibly efficient

⛔ There’s a distinct lack of cabinetry

  • UVW: 3,700 lbs
  • GVWR: 5,000  lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: 370 lbs
  • CCC: 1,300 lbs
  • Length: 18’ 5”

The Oliver Legacy Elite has quite the built-in fanbase, and for good reason. The Oliver Legacy Elite is a well-made travel trailer, despite the company arriving on the scene in 2008. Despite the company’s youth, they’ve already put forward a couple of fantastic designs.

One thing is for sure, the Legacy Elite is made to go anywhere. They are manufactured in 6061 aircraft aluminum and molded fiberglass, all of which sit on Dexter Axles and E-rated truck tires. The interiors are fantastic as well, with a straightforward yet powerfully alluring aesthetic.

23. Casita Spirit Deluxe

It also comes with a standing shower and sink, along with a kitchen with all the bells and whistles. The storage space is surprisingly ample, with several storage options under the bed and the appliances throughout.

24. Scamp 19 Camper

Scamp 19 Camper is a 5th wheel trailer under 20 feet

✅ One of the longest-lasting builds in the industry

⛔ The wet bath obstructs ⅔ of the view from the sofa

  • UVW: 2,800 lbs
  • GVWR: 3,500  lbs
  • CCC: 700 lbs
  • Length: 19’

Scamp markets the Scamp 19 Camper as the “smallest fifth-wheel travel trailer in the USA.” Perhaps they’re right because it certainly is that. It’s also loaded with amenities. The queen bed sits in the loft, so the rest of the camper is living space.

Though this is a fifth wheel, don’t feel like you’ll need a modern tank to tow it. In fact, a quarter-ton Colorado can handle a Scamp 19.

25. Airstream Caravel 20FB

Airstream Caravel 20FB floor plan

✅ Spacious, all-aluminum interior aesthetic

⛔ The fridge drains the battery faster than comparable gas versions

  • UVW: 4,300 lbs
  • Tongue/Hitch Weight: N/A lbs

The Airstream Caravel 20FB is supposed to be the middle child of the Airstream lineup. Like any middle child, the 20FB wants to have it all because it gets the least attention. Fortunately, the 20FB has most, if not all the amenities you’ll find in a larger Airstream.

This includes a solid level of countertop real estate with all the kitchen amenities, a full dry bath, a bed with a 180° window view, and enough space to sleep four once you flip the dinette.

Let’s get started now!

Why Choose a Travel Trailer Under 25 Feet in Length?

There are a number of reasons why a travel trailer under 25 feet might be something that interests you. Whether you are traveling with a small group or simply want something that is easier to maintain, here are some of the top reasons why you may want a travel trailer that’s more compact than average:

  • Less to maintain . When it comes to RVs, all of them need a certain level of maintenance and care, but this only gets more overwhelming the larger the RV you own. An RV that is under 25 feet means that there’s less roof to reseal , fewer windows to maintain, and less to replace should it suffer from water damage or any other wear and tear. This can be reassuring, especially if you don’t find yourself using your RV all that often.
  • Fewer utility needs. All RVs have utilities on board, and some options give you the opportunity to boondock or camp off-grid, without hooking up or plugging into campground utilities. A travel trailer that’s under 25 feet long should only have one air conditioner , smaller holding tanks, and fewer propane needs compared to larger travel trailers. This means that you likely have more options in terms of off-grid camping and overall hassle free camping options.
  • Easier to drive . While all RVs require a bit of a learning curve in terms of how to drive and park them, a travel trailer that’s under 25 feet long should be much easier to control on the road and at camp. This is because the overall size and weight make a huge difference in terms of your safety when traveling at highway speeds. A smaller travel trailer means less space for you, but also less trailer to worry about while on the road!
  • Unique and fantastic storage solutions . You may be thinking that an RV under 25 feet long won’t have enough storage or options for you and your family, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, travel trailers under 25 feet in length sometimes offer the most unique and creative ways of using space. you will likely be surprised at just how many people and belongings you can fit on board your compact travel trailer!
  • Great floor plans for couples and families alike . No matter your lifestyle and who you choose to travel with, there is a floor plan or layout that fits your lifestyle well. You won’t have to worry about your travel trailer floor plan options, given just how popular RVs under 25 feet in length are. There is something that will work well for you, but it just may take some extra time to find it!

What to Consider in a Travel Trailer Under 25 Feet

There are a number of things to consider in a travel trailer under 25 feet in length. But what might some of those considerations be? Let’s take a look at some things for you to think about, all curated from someone living full-time in a 19 foot long travel trailer!

Layout and Floor Plan

Choosing a layout or floor plan that works well for you and your family is key to enjoying your time in your compact travel trailer. You may have some ideas in mind as to what you are looking for, but it can be difficult to know exactly what works best for your lifestyle.

I highly recommend touring any RVs at your local RV lot or dealership so that you can get a good feel for what they are like on the inside. If you don’t have this as an option, most RV websites give you 360 degree tours so that you can feel as if you are walking through the space without actually being there.

You may want a travel trailer with a spacious bathroom, a master suite, or perhaps you want most of your living space dedicated to the kitchen and family room. You may want a floor plan with two dedicated bedrooms , or even a residential kitchen.

No matter what you are looking for, there’s an RV out there for you. It just may take some time to find, so it’s important to know what type of layout works well for you!

Most travel trailers under 25 feet long should have some type of bathroom on board. However, the smaller you go, the less likely this is. In fact, the majority of compact travel trailers will likely have a wet bath as opposed to a dry bath . But what is the difference between these two?

Dry baths are standard bathrooms that we know in our residential homes, with separated sinks, showers, and toilets. A wet bath is a unique type of bathroom found on board RVs, where the entire bathroom is technically the shower area. Everything is designed to get wet.

Regardless of which you prefer, it is important to keep an eye out while you shop for options. You are more likely to find a wet bath on board your compact travel trailer rather than a dry bath, so keep this in mind if you desperately want a dry bath instead!

Guests and Sleeping Arrangements

Knowing the average amount of guests that you expect to bring on board your RV for any given camping trip is a good idea. A 25 foot long RV may seem small, but you’d be surprised at just how many people can sleep inside of these types of travel trailers. You may be able to sleep up to 10 people in an RV of this size, giving you even more options!

However, if you know it will only be you and your partner sleeping inside of your travel trailer, this gives you plenty of other options in terms of how your space is designed. If you plan on camping with the whole family, you should pay special attention to bunkhouse floor plans or other options that give you plenty of beds for everyone.

You can always choose a floor plan that works best for a small group and simply pack tents with you to set up when you reach camp. However, if you want to camp year round, you should make sure you have an RV that sleeps everyone.

One of the first things to consider before shopping for any style of travel trailer is how much weight you can tow. You may already have a tow vehicle in mind, or perhaps you are planning on purchasing one. Regardless of this, you should have a set weight limit in mind before you purchase anything.

The weight limits surrounding your vehicles are key to pay attention to, especially if you choose to purchase a travel trailer. This is because travel trailer safety is all about weight and weight distribution, something to keep in mind if you are new to RVing.

While most travel trailers under 25 feet are compact and lightweight, you should always know the figures surrounding your RV. Not only will your towed vehicle have a weight limit, but your RV has one as well. You should be sure to evenly distribute the weights across both sides of your tires, or central axis. Like I said, it takes some getting used to, but it’s key to driving safely!

Ability to Boondock

Shopping for a compact travel trailer has its benefits, including your ability to take it more places. If you are an avid adventurer and want to boondock frequently, you should keep this in mind as you shop for a new RV.

As we’ve already discussed, boondocking is the act of camping off grade or disconnected from all RV utilities. This includes power, sewer, and water hookups. Your RV should have the ability to camp without these hookups for a certain amount of time, but you may want to be able to extend your stay.

Some boondocking features to keep an eye out for include:

  • Solar panels
  • Onboard generators
  • Additional house batteries
  • Larger propane tanks
  • Larger freshwater tank
  • Larger holding tanks
  • All-electric models, eliminating the need for propane
  • Raised chassis
  • All-terrain tires

Again, all of these features depend on what you are looking for, but you may find that very few of these come standard. This means that you will likely need to increase your budget, if you are looking for a boondock-ready rig.

Storage Solutions

If you are hoping to purchase a small travel trailer but you are concerned about bringing everything along with you, shopping for an option with plenty of storage is a good idea. Compact RVs are full of storage solutions that might surprise you, but what things might you want out of your RV storage?

If you plan on bringing along kayaks, bikes, or other recreational items, you may want to make sure that your travel trailer has a rack for these things. Many have roof racks or rear racks, or racks that attach to the hitch of your travel trailer, giving you plenty of options to bring more items.

In addition, keeping a special eye out for RVs with pass-through exterior storage as well as storage in the forms of overhead cabinetry or under-bed storage is a good idea. You may even find a travel trailer with roof storage inside, or unique storage solutions in the bathroom and kitchen.

If you choose a reliable RV brand that has been in business for a long time, chances are, you won’t have to worry about storage at all. Storage has always been at a premium when it comes to RV living, so many RV manufacturers know exactly what you are looking for!

All travel trailers need maintenance, but some options are simply better built than others. When it comes to shopping for a travel trailer under 25 feet long, you are saving money when it comes to the size of your trailer. However, what about the durability of some of these options?

Many experts argue that the heavier the travel trailer, the better built it is , but it all depends on the make and model that you end up purchasing. You may find that this is true, but it won’t matter if your tow vehicle can’t tow something that is heavy and well-built!

This isn’t to say that all lightweight travel trailers are poorly made, but there is some debate regarding just how good these materials are. If you want your travel trailer to last a lifetime, it may be worth investing a bit of extra money and research into brands that are well built.

Amenities and Luxury Finishes

Have you considered all of the amenities you want on board your RV, as well as what luxurious features you want inside and out? Many RV manufacturers separate their models based on their standard or luxury features, which means that you have some decisions to make.

When it comes to knowing what a standard feature is versus a luxury feature, you may be surprised to see how RVs categorize all of these things. Unless you add them on after the initial purchase price, most of the following things will be considered luxury amenities and not included standard:

  • Additional air conditioners
  • Multiple house batteries
  • Multiple solar panels
  • Luxurious upholstery and cabinet finishes
  • Backsplash or elegant finishes
  • Tankless hot water heater
  • Outdoor kitchen or shower
  • Automatic features, such as jack stands or leveling options

Again, it all depends on what you are looking for out of an RV experience. However, keep in mind that most of these features come at an extra cost, which is definitely something you should always have in mind!

Speaking of keeping extra cost in mind, your budget is something you should know before you begin shopping for a travel trailer that’s under 25 feet long. This is because there are so many options on the market today that it is easier than you think to go over your budget.

Depending on the brand name and size as well as finishing features, the average travel trailer that’s under 25 feet long costs anywhere from $20k to over $60k. There are always options that are more luxurious than others, but this is the average price to keep in mind.

Given the overall simplicity and popularity of travel trailers, you are likely to find something within your budget without much effort. However, if there are additional features that you want, or if you are worried about the overall longevity of the travel trailer that you find, you may want to increase your budget ever so slightly.

Now that you know all of the things that you should consider before making your final purchase, it’s time to check out our list of travel trailers! Keep your weight limits and additional features in mind as you check out our list of the 15 best travel trailers under 25 feet now!

Best Overall: Lance 2465 Travel Trailer

  • Beautiful interior design
  • Thoughtful storage solutions and amenities
  • Plenty of options to customize features
  • Heavy weight may not work for your tow vehicle

While it may be a lesser known brand compared to some of the options on this list, the Lance travel trailer lineup is impressive, well-built, and convenient. While it comes at a slightly higher initial purchase price compared to other travel trailers found here, there’s a lot to love about a Lance. Let’s take a look at the 2465 model now.

With a length that is just under 25 feet, you’re maximizing your interior living space for this RV. When you walk into the Lance 2465, you’ll notice its understated but upscale amenities and cozy decor, including an electric fireplace.

This RV is ideal for couples or small families, as it features a dedicated king size bedroom with plenty of storage. The bathroom is located midway on this rig, with the sink separate from the shower and toilet. This is ideal for those of you traveling with larger groups, as you can access separate utilities at a time.

With superior insulation and construction , Lance knows how to build travel trailers that last. This may make this option ideal for those of you hoping to live in your rig full time or for those of you planning to camp year round.

Another perk to this particular Lance is that you can customize it to your heart’s content. You can add as many solar panels as you need, a tankless water heater, multiple batteries, a roof rack, and more. Having so many options is always nice, even though it will drive up that initial purchase price.

All in all, the Lance 2465 has plenty to offer a variety of RVers, especially those of you seeking something well-built and beautifully designed under 25 feet. What’s the catch on this one? It’s pretty heavy at 6800 pounds, so make sure your tow vehicle can handle it!

Best on a Budget: Forest River Rockwood Roo

  • Great price point for any budget
  • Multiple floor plans under 25 feet
  • Multiple queen sized beds
  • Not ideal for four-season camping

There’s a reason why the Rockwood Roo from Forest River is good for those of you on a budget. However, it may not be an option that works well for all of you, as it is technically a pop-out or pop-up trailer, meaning some of the walls are tent material. Let’s talk about this unique and affordable travel trailer in more detail now!

Starting well under the cost of most of our other compact options on this list, the Rockwood Roo is a great choice for those of you who aren’t worried about camping in freezing or boiling weather scenarios . With five floor plans all under 25 feet, you also have more options to choose from.

One of the best reasons to purchase this travel trailer is the fact that it has multiple queen size beds. Some floor plans have up to three queen beds onboard, tucked into pop out sleeping areas. These mattresses have heaters underneath them so that you don’t get too cold while you camp!

Besides multiple beds, all of the Rockwood Roo floor plans have bathrooms and kitchens. There’s an air conditioner, solar included standard, and even an electric fireplace on one of the floor plans. You can add more solar if need be, or maybe you want to consider some theater seating!

However, even with heaters and air conditioners, the Roo isn’t ideal for those of you who want to camp in any season or weather scenario. It is made to handle certain levels of the great outdoors, but you’ll be maintaining and taking care of this travel trailer for a long while if it gets damaged in inclement weather!

Best for Families: KZ Sportsmen Classic

  • Nine compact floor plans to choose from
  • Ultra lightweight and sleek
  • Easy to maintain interior
  • Additions cost extra

With nine floor plans, all under 25 feet, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t check out the Sportsmen Classic from KZ. Starting at 16 feet long and at a fair initial purchase price, the Sportsmen Classic is a great choice for couples and families alike. Let’s go over what makes this RV special now.

Billed as ultra lightweight, this travel trailer doesn’t weigh more than 3,500 pounds, no matter the floor plan. You can get all of these options with dedicated dry baths , queen size beds, and many layouts even have bunk beds onboard. This makes it an ideal choice for families, especially those of you with young children.

Not only can you get this RV with enough beds to sleep everyone, but you can outfit it so that you can go anywhere. KZ RV offers two separate packages to add to your initial purchase price, including an off-grid solar setup and an off-road package. These two additions make your compact travel trailer good to go anywhere you want!

The interior design of this RV is light, bright, and clean. While you can’t choose any other interior design choices, the standard upholstery, and appearance of this rig work for a variety of lifestyles. Plus, it’s all durable and easy to clean, with well-insulated walls and tongue and groove flooring to boot. This makes it an ideal rig for those of you with a busy family.

So, is there a drawback to this particular compact RV? You may find that the necessary additions to make this RV special are too expensive, especially when you consider that some floor plans have tent pop-outs, similar to the Rockwood Roo. This is definitely something to keep in mind as you shop so that you don’t overspend!

Most Unique: Airstream Basecamp

  • Stunning and unique design
  • Plenty of storage, inside and out
  • Everything you need is conveniently laid out
  • High price point with plenty of features to add

Starting at $46k for a diminutive 16 feet long, the Basecamp from Airstream is not a great choice for everyone. However, the uniqueness of this RV makes everyone turn their head to see it, as it is unlike anything else currently on the market. Let’s take a closer look at it now.

Available in a 16 and a 19 foot long floor plan, the Basecamp is perfect for the young couple or adventurer seeking something easy to drive and maintain. Clad in Airstream’s iconic aluminum finish , the Basecamp is a silver bullet complete with a huge picture window at the front of it.

One of the great things about the Basecamp is its flexible interior. You have two bench seats or a dinette (depending on the floor plan) that convert into a variety of other arrangements. You can sleep up to four people in the 19 foot long plan, or two in the 16 footer, and having the option to convert your seating area however you please is a huge plus.

You have a full kitchen and bathroom onboard this RV, with unique pass-thru outdoor shower conveniences. Plus, the kitchen has easy to maintain countertops and cabinets, offering you durability and plenty of storage. The same can be said for the antibacterial and water-resistant upholstery found throughout!

You can get an outdoor rear gear rack for anything that doesn’t fit in the overhead compartments inside of your RV. And the Basecamp is ready to go wherever you want with a heated underbelly and holding tanks, with the option to add solar.

Besides the price, there really isn’t a catch on this one, if you don’t need to sleep many people. However, after you add on all of the features you want, you may find this one simply out of your budget!

Best for Boondocking: Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX

  • Full of boondocking features
  • Tankless water heater and water saving system
  • High price and fairly heavy

Awarded the Top Debut RV award by RVBusiness in 2021, the Micro Minnie FLX from Winnebago is packed full of tech. Starting at $64k, the Micro Minnie FLX is priced high, but unlike the Basecamp, it has everything you need to boondock right away. Let’s check it out!

With five floor plans, almost all of which are under 25 feet (one is at 25 and a half feet), you should have a number of options to choose from. You can sleep up to five in this rig too , though keep in mind that this may limit the number of days that you can comfortably boondock.

However, the Micro Minnie FLX was made to be off-grid for five days, an impressive feat for an RV of this size. While the price point may be high, there’s a reason, and it’s likely to accommodate all of these boondocking features into the standard purchase price.

Not only do you have all the solar capabilities you might be searching for, but you have extra batteries to store that power. Plus, you have a tankless water heater, an inverter, and a fresh water reclamation system, unique to the micro Minnie.

The interior design of this RV prioritizes your living areas, giving you plenty of space in the kitchen and living room. While the upholstery and cabinet choices aren’t numerous, everything is built to last and cleans up with ease.

All of the floorplans weigh roughly around 5,000 pounds, which may be too heavy for some of you. However, complete with rugged tires and a capable chassis, you can expect this travel trailer to come along for the ride with ease. Definitely consider this travel trailer, especially if you’re a huge fan of technology!

Most Luxurious: Airstream Bambi

  • Small and compact size offers plenty of storage
  • Lightweight and attractive
  • Great interior design
  • High purchase price with the need for additions

Airstream knows the importance of packing everything into a small package, and the Bambi is no exception. This travel trailer comes in Airstream’s fantastic aluminum package, but it also features a number of luxurious amenities, inside and out. Let’s take a closer look at this luxury travel trailer now.

Starting just under $60k, the Bambi isn’t the most budget-friendly option on this list. However, you get a number of amenities and a striking design, all included standard. There are four floor plans all 22 feet or smaller, and all of these aluminum beauties weigh under 4,000 pounds, making them easy to tow too.

The smallest floor plan option available for the Bambi has a wet bath as opposed to a dry bath, but all other options have residential bathrooms on board. There are dedicated queen-size beds on all floor plans as well, with a convertible dinette area for extra guests.

The kitchen area is well-appointed, with an all-electric refrigerator and a pull-out countertop to give you more prep space. Plus, there are two different interior design options with easy to clean and maintain upholstery. The entire space feels elegant and bright, giving you a pleasant space to return to after a long day outside.

Everything in an Airstream is built to last, which means that this travel trailer is a sound investment. It has solar prep on the rooftop as well if you want to take this RV boondocking. You can easily add solar panels as well as additional house batteries, though this will of course come at an extra cost.

Besides the price, this RV may not work well for you given its size. You can’t sleep more than four people on board this RV, which may not suit your family or lifestyle. However, if you are looking for an iconic Airstream RV that is lightweight and easy to drive, the Bambi may suit you well!

Most Storage: Winnebago Hike

  • Compact and lightweight
  • Fair initial purchase price
  • Needs some additions to really shine

Starting at $38k, the Winnebago Hike is significantly less than our previous option from Winnebago. However, this doesn’t mean that it is skimping on features. Full of great boondocking perks as well as storage, this compact travel trailer may be the one for you. Let’s check it out!

The reason that the Hike ranked as our best option in terms of storage is that the entire exterior offers you many different storage options. There is a bike and kayak storage exoskeleton included on the roof of this travel trailer as well as the sides, giving you loads of options for where you want to keep things.

All of the five available floor plans are 25 feet and under, giving you plenty of options to choose from. There are some double axle travel trailer floor plans, but the single axles will offer you a lighter weight as well as less to maintain in the long run. Plus, all of these layouts have slide outs, giving you even more interior living space.

Another great reason to choose this option for Winnebago is the fact that the exterior is entirely rugged. Winnebago has made this travel trailer with a raised chassis, off-road tires, and a protected underbelly so that you can take this compact beauty anywhere that you want to go.

While it isn’t included standard, you can also get the Hike equipped with a fantastic all-weather package as well as a solar package. However, these options will cost a bit extra, and some travel trailer options on this list include these features as standard. In addition, the interior design of this RV may leave much to be desired, so you may find another option on this list that suits you better!

Best for Couples: Heartland RV Mallard Pathfinder

  • Great price, especially for design options
  • Queen bed for couples with bunk bed options
  • Relatively unknown RV brand name

While you can sleep up to 6 people in some of the floor plans offered by the Mallard Pathfinder, this compact travel trailer seems ideal for couples for a number of reasons. With an initial purchase price of $35k, this rig from Heartland RV is a great choice for the adventurous couple. Let’s check out why this might be now.

There are only three available floor plans for this particular travel trailer, but all of them are under 23 feet in length. This gives you plenty of space if you are a couple, especially when you consider that two of the three floor plans have bunk beds. This gives you extra storage as well as the option to bring guests, should you want to.

One of the main reasons why you may want to consider this travel trailer is its interior design. While it comes in neutral tones that suit a variety of lifestyles, the Mallard Pathfinder has a sense of luxury and elegance to it, without breaking the bank. Some special features include tile detailing in the shower, lovely laminate flooring, and special touches throughout.

If you are more concerned about the overall construction of this RV, it’s built with Azdel walls and all terrain tires, giving you peace of mind and the confidence that you’ve made a good investment. Plus, Heartland RV offers a number of warranty plans to continue supporting you after your purchase.

You even get solar panels and a completely walkable roof included in this price. However, you may consider another option given the fact that this RV manufacturer is not the most well-known. While they have a lot to offer you, you may prefer something with a bit more notoriety and customer support.

Made for Full-Time Living: Grand Design Imagine XLS

  • Multiple floor plans that are lightweight
  • 4 season and solar ready
  • Wonderful interior design for full timers
  • High price point makes this one an investment

Grand Design is a fantastic RV manufacturer for a number of reasons. They are extremely popular with their fifth wheel models in particular, often creating options that are ideal for full-time living as well as serious RVers. However, even the most compact of the models has a lot to offer, including spacious living areas and plenty of features to add on. Plus, all of the available floor plans under the Imagine XLS line are 5,000 pounds or less!

While all of these floor plans are still too small to include a washer and dryer on board, there are a number of other full-time features that you may be interested in. You have plenty of solar panels and electricity options to power both off-grid or connected living, as well as a reliable fiberglass exterior that should last.

You have a beautiful interior to enjoy as well, something that should definitely interest you if you want to live in an RV full-time. The design is unique and the layouts are great for living full-time, offering you plenty of flow as well as sightlines so that you can talk to your significant other or other travel partners.

Grand Design also gives you a few mandatory packages to add on, including solar, 4 season living, and much more. All of these are designed to better support full-time living in your travel trailer, and it is definitely something to keep in mind! So what’s the catch? It has to be the initial purchase price, but if you want to live in a travel trailer full time, it’s a good idea to invest.

Best Starter Travel Trailer: Coachmen Apex Nano

  • Plenty of lightweight and compact floor plans
  • Fair budget-friendly price
  • Add-ons make this rig versatile
  • Boring interior design

With 10 floor plans, all under 4,000 pounds and 25 feet in length, you have loads of options to choose from. This is often reassuring to first-time RVers because it gives you plenty of floor plans to compare and contrast. It often leads to learning what you like and don’t like in an RV!

You’ll likely notice that the interior design on this RV is nothing special. However, this is also often a perk if you are just starting off on your travel trailer journey. You won’t have to worry about maintaining any special interior design, and it’s still going to be a comfortable place for you to relax at the end of a long day!

The Apex Nano comes with a number of packages for you to add on, including one with solar and another with added 4 season amenities. You can get heated holding tanks as well as a more rugged exterior, giving you the option to go anywhere.

Another reason that this travel trailer is well suited for first-timers is the fact that it gives you enough floor plan options to sleep the whole family. Some of these layouts can sleep up to eight people, which is a feat considering the size of these travel trailers. This is definitely one to keep in mind, especially if you plan on camping with a large group!

If you haven’t already guessed, this particular travel trailer is lightweight as well as compact. All of the 4 available floor plans come in under 4,500 pounds and are less than 24 feet in length. This gives you a number of choices, and each floor plan is well thought out.

With fantastic insulation, a powerful exterior shell, and the option to add heating pads to your holding tanks, this RV is ready for just about any weather scenario. You can add solar panels to the RV as well, which means you can camp off-grid. However, some of these features are not included standard, so keep this in mind as it will drive up the initial purchase price.

The interior design of this particular travel trailer is unique and well-thought-out. You have spacious bathrooms and living areas, with convertible furniture that gives you plenty of seating during the day. Plus, the kitchen can have an electric refrigerator for off-grid camping and convenience.

Speaking of the interior design, the furnishings are warm and welcoming, all while being easy to maintain and clean. You have dark wood cabinets and lighter countertops in the kitchen, and the entire place feels open with plenty of windows and natural light.

All in all, this RV is great for those of you hoping to camp year round, but keep in mind that you will have to add those features on. However, with a budget-friendly initial price, you may have more flexibility to add on what you want compared to other options on this list!

Best for Pets: Jayco Jay Flight SLX

  • Plenty of lightweight floor plans
  • Easy to maintain if you have pets
  • Solar and off-road additions are possible
  • Potentially bland interior design

The Jayco Jay Flight SLX is a great travel trailer for those of you with pets , but it also works for those of you that don’t! This RV starts at $23k, making it one of the most affordable options on this list. Plus, there are enough floor plans to suit everyone. Let’s take a closer look at it now.

While the specs for the 2023 Jay Flight SLX are still in progress, there are five floor plans to choose from. All of these should be under 25 feet long, and they should also be lightweight to boot. These choices include bunkhouse options so that you can bring the whole family along, including your dogs or cats.

The interior design of the Jay Flight SLX is ideal for those of you with busy families, as it is easy to clean and maintain. The vinyl flooring throughout is durable and made to last, something that Jayco is well-known for. I highly recommend you read our expert Jayco review here , as it may give you some insight into this manufacturer and brand.

As far as the features go, you have the option to add solar and other fantastic amenities that will allow you to keep a round. While the price point of this RV is ideal for those of you who only want to camp during the summertime, Jayco wants you to have the option to travel any time of year.

The interior design of the 2023 models of this RV have not been released yet, but some options in the past have been a bit bland. You may find that this RV needs some spicing up, but it’s a great option for those of you looking for something affordable, durable, and easy to tow!

Lightest Weight: Forest River No Boundaries

  • Multiple different floor plan and length options
  • Lightweight and easy to tow
  • Solar and off-road packages available
  • Endless amount of options may prove confusing

We’ve had a number of lightweight travel trailers on this list, but the No Boundaries from Forest River is another option to consider if you have a smaller tow vehicle. With weights ranging from 1500 to 3500 pounds, the No Boundaries should be easy to tow by a number of different cars. Let’s check it out in detail now!

Forest River tries to set its customers up for success in terms of the number of options it has. However, purchasing one of these RVs can be needlessly confusing. There are countless floor plans with different weight limits and lengths, so make sure that you purchase the right make and model if this is the RV for you.

With all of this in mind, the No Boundaries is ideal for those of you hoping to camp off-grid and travel wherever you please. There are some added durability features to the chassis and tires, as well as solar panels included. You can upgrade to add more solar and additional batteries, adding an extra cost.

In terms of floor plans, you can sleep a number of people inside of this compact frame. There are even toy hauler floor plan options, complete with ramps so that you can easily load your gear. Keep in mind that these floor plans might not be something that works best for your family, but there aren’t very many options on this list with toy hauler ramps!

Not only is this travel trailer lightweight, but you have a number of different options to add on to the initial purchase price. Some of these options include solar, additional gear racks, and much more. However, know that these will all cost more and it may put this RV outside your planned budget!

The Whole Package: Jayco Jay Feather Micro

  • Great budget-friendly purchase price
  • Lots of lightweight floor plans
  • Easy to tow and maintain
  • Needs some additions and special touches

Starting at $35k, the Jay Feather Micro from Jayco is almost too good to be true. While it doesn’t get our best overall spots due to questioning of its durability, this compact RV is under 23 feet with 5 floor plans and is incredibly light. Let’s go over all of the things that it has to offer now.

There is a floor plan for everyone when it comes to checking out the Jay Feather Micro, as there’s a bunk house , a floor plan perfect for couples, and tomorrow. Jayco uses every square inch of space on board this RV, and it shows. Plus, the finishings are attractive and versatile for a number of lifestyles.

While you can get multiple solar panels, additional batteries, and much more, these things are not included standard. Given the low purchase price, this travel trailer may be right up your alley, especially when you consider just how many ways you can customize it. Just keep in mind that this will raise that initial price!

Jayco considers this travel trailer a great starter RV for those of you just beginning your journey, though the interior design and special features are enough to please anyone. Keep in mind that you may need to put in some extra effort to make this RV special, but it truly has plenty to offer you and your family!

Runner Up: Forest River r-pod

  • Plenty of compact floor plans
  • Lightweight and aerodynamic design
  • Bathrooms and bunk beds throughout these floor plans
  • Make sure Forest River is the brand for you

As a full-time camp host and RVer, I see certain models more than others. One model that I see all the time is the Forest River r-pod. This compact travel trailer is beloved, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, and it’s no secret as to why this might be.

With 9 floor plans, all 25 feet long or shorter, the r-pod is compact and unique. It is shaped similarly to a teardrop travel trailer, with a curved roof line and aerodynamic design. Plus, all floor plans are incredibly lightweight, giving you an even easier time when it comes to driving and towing.

All available floor plans have bathrooms, and some floor plans have bunk beds for the kiddos. You have a dedicated kitchen and a bedroom with a queen bed across all nine options as well, giving you plenty to choose from. Plus, the interior design of the r-pod is attractive and appeals to a number of different people.

Forest River has truly thought of everything with this particular travel trailer, which might be one of the reasons why it is just so popular. However, you should definitely check out our Forest River review to make sure that this RV manufacturer is what you are looking for in terms of durability and longevity.

10 Best Bunkhouse Travel Trailers Under 25 feet

Photo of author

In this article, I will show you what we consider to be the best options on the market today for the best bunkhouse travel trailer under 25 feet from different manufacturers and with very different floorplans. We also include a couple of options for bunkhouse travel trailers under 20 feet. Let’s see the 10 Best travel trailers with bunks under 20 and 25 feet for 2022 with specs, floorplans, 360-tours, owners’ reviews, and walk-through videos. This video below is just a sneak peek of some top picks featured in this buyer’s review.

Table of Contents

Why Choose a Bunkhouse Travel Trailer Under 25 Feet?

Why Choose a Travel Trailer?  Travel trailers are a very advantageous type of recreational vehicle because of their versatility. When it comes to travel trailers, there are an infinite number of floorplans, lengths, weights, load capacities, etc.

Why Choose a Bunkhouse Travel Trailer?   Travel trailers with bunks are a great way to share memorable moments with our families and friends.

Bunkhouse travel trailers are less expensive and give additional sleeping space. A bunk room in a travel trailer may provide adaptability as well as sleeping space. Bunk bed campers are ideal for families and large groups. It is quite handy to accommodate all family members and visitors without having to assemble and disassemble beds, sofas, dinettes, and so on. You may relax on the bunk beds anytime you like so that the areas can be utilized during the day. Furthermore, bunk beds for RVs are the handiest and most comfortable beds available. I’m willing to bet that current RV manufacturers provide comfortable bunk beds, even double sizes, with storage and USB hookups.

Why Choose a Bunkhouse Travel Trailer Under 25 Feet?  The biggest advantage of choosing a short travel trailer, under 25, or under 20-30 feet , is that it is easier to drive and maneuver to park and sightsee the cities during vacation time. A bunkhouse also conserves weight and space, enabling several people to sleep and rest in a relatively small area. Aside from that, kids adore bunk beds.

Check out below our list of the 10 best bunkhouse travel trailers under 25 feet with specs, floorplans, 360-tours, and walk-through videos. Also, I took the liberty to include travel trailers with bunks under 20 feet in the top 10 list.

Updated March 15, 2024

Susan and I own a Class C RV that is under 25 feet. It’s a 2008 Gulf Stream Conquest that is 24 feet long and we love it for a variety of reasons. But it can be tough to find the perfect, compact Class C RV under 25 feet in 2024. While there are tons of large models available, finding everything you need in a small Class C RV under 25 feet can be a challenge.

We love the benefits you get from our smaller size Class C RV. Being able to drive and park easily and camp easily at national parks is worth searching for the perfect compact Class C RV.

Our list of the ten best small Class C RVs under 25 feet for 2024 is a great place to start your search.

What’s The Difference Between A Class C And A Class A?

The difference between a Class C and a Class A isn’t always size. There are some massive Class Cs and Super Cs out there, after all. The difference is mostly in the design and the chassis. For one, Class C is built in two parts: the cab section and the living section. A Class A is one, whole part.

Class Cs, with a few exceptions, mostly benefit from more maneuverability, smaller size, and a smaller invasion of your bank account. Class As usually have more slides, as well, though that’s not always the case. Mostly, Class Cs are allowed into most state and national parks, while there are some Class As that aren’t allowed, based on size and weight.

As usual, however, the biggest difference between a Class A and a Class C, is consumer preference.

10 Best Class C RVs Under 25 Feet in 2024

These 2024 Class C RVs under 25 feet offer the luxury of most motorhomes in a much smaller package, along with the freedom to park and camp just about anywhere you can imagine.

1. Dynamax Isata 3 24RW

Dynamax Isata 3 24RW Exterior Class C Under 25 Feet

Our Pros and Cons

✅ Rear slide allows for a separate bathroom and excellent space throughout

⛔ Window shades use magnetic strips

  • Length: 24.6′
  • Chassis: Mercedes Benz Sprinter
  • Engine: Mercedes Benz V6
  • GVWR: 11,030 lbs
  • Towing Capacity: 5,000 lbs

The rear slide of the Dynamax Isata 3 24RW is such an underutilized feature in the RV industry. You just don’t see it that often. However, it works well in the design of the Isata’s interior, allowing for much more space throughout.

Even when the slide is in, you still maintain full access to the kitchen and the bathroom as well, which is one of those highly convenient features often overlooked by new RVers. With a full kitchen, large living space, and large bathroom, you won’t feel like you’re in a small Class C either.

2. Leisure Wonder Rear Lounge

Leisure Wonder Rear Lounge Exterior

✅ Solid gas mileage with the 3.5L twin, turbocharged V6

⛔ Left and right-hinged fridge is easy to break

  • Length: 24′ 9″
  • Chassis: Ford Transit
  • Engine: EcoBoost V6
  • GVWR: 11,000 lbs
  • Towing Capacity: N/A

The Leisure Wonder Rear Lounge is one of those Class C RVs under 25 feet that can easily be confused with a Class B. It’s mostly in the shape, which resembles a singular, campervan-style design. The interior space is surprisingly intuitive, however.

The rear couch converts into a bed, which expands the interior space. There’s also a sizeable bathroom that’s split down the middle. The kitchen is upfront and compact, but more than viable, despite its small size. The Leisure Wonder is a fantastic option for couples or weekend getaways.

3. Thor Compass AWD 23TW

Thor Compass AWD 23TW Exterior

✅ Highly maneuverable with the perfect size for nearly every parking situation

⛔ Plastic toilet

  • Length: 23′ 7″

The Thor Compass AWD 23TW features a full wall slide that really opens things up on the inside. In addition, you can flip up the queen bed for even more living and breathing space.

It includes two TVs, so you can catch your favorite shows whether you’re lying in bed for the day or lounging in the living room.

The bathroom is small but full-featured and dry. There’s even enough space to include a large wardrobe that takes up most of the back end. If you have storage needs, the odds are good this Class C RV under 25 feet will provide.

4. Gulfstream BT Cruiser 5210

Gulfstream BT Cruiser 5210 Exterior Class C Under 25 Feet

✅ Dual-opposing jack-knife sofas offer plenty of sitting and lounging space

⛔ Small counter space

  • Length: 22′ 1″
  • Chassis: Ford E350
  • Engine: 350 hp V8
  • GVWR: 12,500 lbs

The second Class C without slides on our list is the Gulfstream BT Cruiser 5210 . However, this one doesn’t resemble a Class B. As small as it is, Gulfstream went with a split, modular-like arrangement.

The front half features a three-part combination of bed, dual-opposing jack-knife sofas, and a dinette. The back half includes an open kitchen area, with a large wardrobe, and the full, dry-bath taking up a slice of the back.

It’s an interesting arrangement and it works well. When you lack the space for everything, simply combine multiple, major features into one.

5. Nexus Triumph Phantom 23P

Nexus Triumph Phantom 23P Exterior

✅ Large amount of interior room with plenty of counter space and a bright aesthetic

⛔ Bathroom is all separated, with the toilet within a water closet

  • Length: 25′
  • Engine: 325 hp V8
  • Towing Capacity: 7,500 lbs

Right at the 25′ limit, the Nexus Triumph Phantom 23P features a more traditional Class C RV arrangement. Most of your utility is in the front, with sleeping arrangements in the back.

The bathroom arrangement is a little weird, but it’s only weird in the fact that you have to get used to it.

All three elements of the bathroom are split up, with the sink being a part of the bedroom, the shower taking up the back corner, and the toilet relegated to a water closet. It seems like the idea was to maximize space by spreading out the components of a traditional bathroom.

8. Winnebago Minnie Winnie 22R

Winnebago Minnie Winnie 22R Exterior

✅ A ton of sleeping space with a rear bed, over-cab bunk, and convertible dinette

⛔ Very entry-level tech

  • Length: 23.8′

The Winnebago Minnie Winnie 22R takes the best of the Winnebago Minnie and shrinks it, without sacrificing much in the way of amenities. The back half consists of a split arrangement between the bed and a full, dry bath, with a massive U-dinette taking up a large section of the front half.

You also get a bunk over the cab, which is capable of holding up to 750 lbs. The kitchen is a little short on counter space, but you can make up for it with the dinette table behind you. There’s also enough room for a sizeable wardrobe, just behind the kitchen, which can easily double as a pantry.

9. Gulfstream Conquest 6220LE

Gulfstream Conquest 6220LE Exterior Class C Under 25 Feet

✅ Beautiful interior with rich cabinetry on a white backsplash

⛔ Could use a fold-up table for extra counter space

  • Length: 24′
  • Engine: Vortec V8

Of the ten Class C RVs under 25 feet on this list, the Gulfstream Conquest 6220LE probably has the richest interior aesthetic. There are tons of cabinets in the front half, covering all of your dry goods and alternative storage needs.

The fold-down dinette table opens up the interior some more as well. Like the Minnie Winnie, you also get the bunk bed over the cab. With the dinette converting into a bed, this Class C is capable of sleeping up to 6 people.

10. Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 22B

Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 22B Exterior Class C Under 25 Feet

✅ Ceiling-ducted air conditioning system

⛔ Privacy curtain may not be enough for some couples

  • Length: 24.1′
  • Towing Capacity: 8,000 lbs

Last but not least on our list of Class C RVs under 25 feet, is the Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 22B . The rear slide opens up the bedroom space and, thanks to the corner-door design of the bathroom, it doesn’t restrict bathroom access when the slide is in.

There is plenty of space in the kitchen, with a flip-up, C-top table adding to the counter space. There’s even a dedicated pantry as well. The dream dinette is an excellent included feature as well, with plenty of sitting room for family or the occasional guests. Again, you also get the cab-over-bunk for larger sleeping counts.

How Much Do Class C RVs Under 25 Feet Cost?

The cost of a Class C RV is generally dependent on the type of Class C.

  • Super C: $150k to $550k
  • Class C Diesel: $70k to $275K
  • Class C Gas: $40k to $200k

Class C RVs under 25 feet are generally gasoline Class Cs, placing them in the cheapest bracket of Class C RVS. There are always outliers and options, which drive the price up or down, depending. For instance, purchasing a stock, factory Class C is much cheaper than purchasing the same Class C with a ton of extra options.

Should I Buy an Extended Warranty for My Class C RV?

Yes, you should buy an extended warranty for your RV – but not from a dealership! Unfortunately, your odds of suffering a major mechanical breakdown go up with every passing year.

Based on RV Warranty claims records, more than 3 out of every 10 RVs will need major repairs in only their second year on the road. This skyrockets to 8 out of 10 in their fifth year and virtually

All of them are in their eighth year! Today’s RVs are increasingly more complex, and with more things going wrong, the need to protect your investment is more important than ever.

Our RV Warranty plans allow you to change your mind! If you’re looking to sell your RV to a private party, you can absolutely transfer the policy to the new owner. Additionally, if you are trading in your RV, or getting out of RVing altogether, you can cancel your policy for a pro-rated refund.

We bought a warranty through Wholesale Warranties for several reasons:

  • We can cancel the warranty at any time and get a pro-rated refund
  • We can transfer the warranty to the new owner if we decide to sell our RV
  • There are no mileage caps on our policy
  • We can use repair shops all across the country
  • We can use a mobile repair company right at our campsite
  • The price is way better than most dealerships
  • We could finance the cost of the warranty
  • With parts and labor prices increasing all the time, we have peace of mind

You owe it to yourself to at least check out a warranty and get a free quote to see if it is right for you. It just takes a few minutes and you will learn a ton about protecting your investment. We only recommend products we use ourselves and we highly recommend you get a free quote from Wholesale Warranties .

Final Words About Class C RVs Under 25 Feet

There you have it, the best Class C RVs under 25 feet. As you can see, living smaller doesn’t necessarily mean living below your means or preferences. The Class Cs on this list offer many of the amenities found in larger Class C options.

In fact, they offer more, in terms of ease of driving, parking, boondocking, maneuverability, and all of the other inherent advantages of driving a smaller motorhome. These Class Cs are the perfect compromise between campervans and standard or Super C motorhomes.

Top 6 Best Travel Trailers Under 25 Feet in 2024

travel trailer under 25 feet

Having the travel trailer up to 25 feet long is a great option if you are traveling alone or with a small group. Owning a smaller trailer is good for two reasons: First, when the trailer is small, it is also lightweight, which means that you can easily move it.  In addition, regardless of size, these trailers are spacious enough. An additional benefit is that you can park the vehicle without difficulty. Because of all this, smaller trailers are a favorite among camping enthusiasts.

Why Choose Travel Trailer Under 25 Feet?

travel trailer under 25 feet

Why is it important to pay special attention to the length of the travel trailer while buying one? While the general opinion is that it is not comfortable to camp in a travel trailer that is under 25 feet long, this is not true! Smaller trailers can also be very comfortable. In addition, a smaller trailer has its advantages. There are several reasons why trailers under 25 feet are a favorite to many campers, and some of them are:

1. Ease of Storage

When you are not using your trailer, you can simply park it in your driveway right next to your SUV. This way, you can save money because you don’t have to worry about the cost of an additional parking space and use that money to make your trailer even more comfortable.

This type of trailer is easy to rearrange according to your needs. Buy a basic model at an affordable price, and you gradually adjust it to your needs as your budget allows.

If you are looking to buy a portable fridge, be sure to check this model: Smad 3.5 Cu.ft. Propane Refrigerator 3 Way .

2. Travel With Family

The mini travel trailer is an ideal choice for those who are going on a trip only with members of the closest family. These travel trailers can accommodate 3 to 4 people without a problem. Also, they are very comfortable for couples. Many of them include compact, beautiful canopies that allow you to enjoy the outdoor environment of your camping location comfortably.

3. Easy To Transport

The smaller travel trailers are easy to tow with a standard SUV, so you don’t need a larger towing vehicle for them. The fact that their length is shorter makes them easier to tow, so it can be said that they are in the category of affordable holiday vehicles. If you opt for a mini travel trailer, you certainly don’t have to buy a stronger towing vehicle.

4. They Save Money

Obviously, this type of trailer is much cheaper than larger vehicles that offer more space. But if you travel as a couple, a mini trailer has quite enough space, so you are, in any case, at a profit. With the mini travel trailer, you can save even on fuel. Since these trailers are easier, they have higher energy efficiency, and less fuel is needed to tow them.

You don’t need a big, fancy, and expensive RV, or a massive trailer to be able to enjoy a moment in nature with your loved ones. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of smaller alternatives of travel trailers under 25 feet for you to choose from.

The Best Travel Trailers Under 25 Feet

1. kz sportsmen classic 181bh.

This travel trailer is not that spacious but still comfortable for smaller groups with a length of twenty feet and nine inches. The relatively big beds cover most of its space. The two bunk beds measure twenty-eight by seventy-five inches, which is long enough for two adults to sleep in—also, the main bedroom measures fifty-four inches wide and eighty inches across.

KZ Sportsmen Classic 181BH best trailer under 25 feet

The dinette can be converted into a fifth sleeping area, although a bit cramped, it is perfectly suitable for the children.

As the travel trailer is both small in size and lightweight, it is simple to maneuver. However, the freshwater tank only holds 20 gallons, so it’s not ideal for longer vacations without the possibility to fill up the water tank.

This travel trailer is perfect for campers spending most of their time enjoying the great outdoors. It has a good name connected to it, making it reliable and trustworthy.

  • Lightweight.
  • Easy to maneuver.
  • Sleeps up to five people.
  • Small freshwater tank, only 20 gallons.
  • A bit cramped in areas, especially when the dinette is converted to a sleeping area.

2. Livin’ Lite Camplite CL16BHB

The Livin’ Lite Camplite travel trailer is only twenty feet long, which makes it simple to maneuver in tiny spaces. It has a very compact look from the outside, but it has many things to offer once you look inside.

This model is sufficiently comfortable and spacious for its size. It features vinyl flooring, which is simple to clean as well. The benches in the dinette area have vinyl upholstery too.

LivinLite CampLite CL16BHB best small travel trailer

As with most travel trailers under 25 feet, the Livin’ Lite Camplite trailer comes with a fairly small freshwater tank holding 26 gallons. However, this is by far one of the best alternatives for longer adventures.

It doesn’t have another master bedroom, but the dinette can be converted along with the double bunk beds for the added sleeping area. It suggests it could only accommodate four people for sleeping, which makes it not ideal for big groups, but perfect for small families or couples.

  • Spacious interior for its size.
  • Only sleeps up to four people.

3. Jayco Jay Feather 7 19BH

This one is the newest model from Jayco Jay. It features a queen-sized bed, a double-bunk configuration, and a dinette that you can convert into another bed. Further, the front profile design offers its aerodynamic abilities, which make it simple to tow it.

Jayco Jay Feather 7 travel trailer under 25 feet

This travel trailer has vinyl plank-style flooring and wood cabinetry, offering it a chic interior. Also, it features a power awning and all the latest features as it’s a recent model of the brand. This travel trailer is twenty-two feet and two inches.

The freshwater tank holds 25,6 gallons of water which is good for most weekend adventures. However, seeing as this travel trailer is slightly larger than the others listed in this article, I feel the tank should be able to hold more.

  • Interior is easy to clean and maintain.
  • Slightly larger than other trailers in this list, measuring just over twenty-two feet.
  • Easy to tow.
  • The freshwater tank is a bit too small considering the size of the trailer.

4. Forest River Flagstaff Micro-Lite Travel Trailer

This travel trailer right here has all the features for a convenient, functional, and comfortable travel trailer. Most of its floor plans offer enough space for three to four individuals, making it suitable for couples.

Forest River also has a radius roof and a full aluminum frame on the outside. Its interior is amazing, along with premium speakers on the inside. Also, there are seventeen-floor plans that suggest you can get a wide selection of options. That travel trailer has a power awning along with proper LED lighting and an adjustable rain dump.

The flooring plan of the unit also caters to pet-friendly campers, as it offers room for kennels and big animal sleeping areas. Take note that it also features a vinyl composite roofing membrane as well as a full aluminum frame for the sidewall, floor, and roof.

Benefits of a travel trailer under 25 feet

You may assume that it’s pretty cramped to be inside a trailer under 25 feet at first thought. However, it’s normally comfortable for small groups of folks. Further, it offers added benefits, which make up for being a bit compact.

Some of the benefits of choosing an under 25 feet trailer are the following:

Budget-friendly

Smaller travel trailers are a lot more affordable than those big ones, not to mention there’s enough space for couples. That makes it a win-win situation.

Given that they’re lighter than larger ones, they offer better fuel efficiency as less power is required to transport them.

Simple maneuverability

Travel trailers with small lengths are simple to haul through your regular SUV, and you don’t need a larger pickup vehicle to transport them. You see, having a small size makes it lightweight and more accessible for the minor vehicle to haul it. Thus, you don’t need to purchase another pickup vehicle for the sake of pulling the camper.

Family size

Do you plan on traveling with your family? Then these travel trailers are suitable for you. They can conveniently accommodate three to four people and are suitable for couples. Many of them offer a good awning so you can cherish the stunning outdoors without any worry.

Ease of storage

You don’t need to rent or purchase a separate parking space to park your travel trailer as you can easily keep it in your driveway together with your SUV. It saves you money that you can spend on personalizing your trailer as you need.

Complement your travel trailer with rooftop tents

Are you traveling with a large family, or group of friends, but still want to use a smaller travel trailer?

One way of increasing the number of sleeping areas when out camping with more people than your trailer can hold is to get a rooftop tent. Depending on which car you have we have written guides on several rooftop tents for you to choose between.

Before you go out and buy a new travel trailer, make sure you read customer reviews online. Also don’t forget to look up the specifications for each trailer to see how many it fits, its dimensions, and weight to make sure it’s a good fit for you.

Travel trailers can be expensive, you don’t want to buy one and later find out it’s too heavy for your vehicle to tow, or too small for your family, and need to buy a new one. If you are interested in buying a pre-owned travel trailer, there are a lot of websites where you can find a great deal, like campingworld.com for example.

4 Best Travel Trailers for Couples in 2022

Travel trailer at sunset

Many couples long for the open road, but too many of them let that dream remain a dream.

For those of you looking to purchase your first trailer or upgrade your current trailer, here are several choices that I consider to be the best travel trailers for couples.

2021 Best Travel Trailers for Couples

1. 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2250RK 2. Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro E19FBS 3. Coachmen – Freedom Express 259FKDS 4. 2021 Keystone Cougar 22RBS

2021 Grand Design Imagine 2250RK

2020 Grand Design Imagine 2250RK

Grand Design is well-known for its 285-point pre-delivery inspections. Their campers are often better designed and overall more reliable than much of their competition. The 2250RK is one model from their lineup which I believe most couples will appreciate.

What doesn’t work for one situation can work perfectly for another. This layout is a good example of this truth. The bathroom separates the bedroom from the rest of the camper. If the 2250RK housed more than three people, it would be a source of constant frustration. Owned by a couple, it becomes a nice buffer for those early bird/night owl combinations. There are three living separate living spaces within this unit. Let’s go over each of them.

Living Area

It’s the classic combination in a not so classic configuration. The dinette and the kitchen are usually placed on opposing walls with a small pathway between them. In the 2250RK, they place the kitchen at the rear of the camper which gives it a large area for its counter-tops, three-burner stove, oven, microwave, and a plethora of storage cabinets. One side of the nearby wall space is occupied by two theater seats which oppose a fireplace, counter, and a telescoping 40″ TV. The theater seats are fully featured and double as a couch. They come with cup-holding armrests and pop-out leg rests. The theater seats heat, they massage, and they are super comfortable. If you want to convert it to the couch, simply lift the center armrests and its done.

No Dining Table

It isn’t something that you see too often, and I have mixed feelings about it. It is annoying to not have a table to place your plates and random belongings, but it opens up a lot of space. It pairs with the unique layout to create an almost residential size of space where you can comfortably stretch. After a little adjusting, I don’t think most people will miss the table. There are nearby alternative surfaces, kitchen counters, and an end cabinet, so I think what you gain is worth the cost of what you lose.

This unit comes with a single slide that houses the refrigerator, the pantry, and the fireplace. It is such a great use of the space, and you should definitely check it out by using the Grand Design website’s 3d viewer. It’ll make you a fan.

The Bathroom

The Grand Designers created a nice bathroom. The size of the room and placement of the fixtures leaves plenty of space. You won’t feel cramped on the toilet and the shower is tall enough to fit 99% of you.

The Bedroom

The bedroom is basic, but each component looks clean and feels like quality. The storage is what you might expect. His and hers hanging closets rest at opposing sides of the queen bed (60″ x 80″). Storage sits above the bed, and an over-sized bin works as the bed’s support. There isn’t a TV, but it is prepped for both TV and cable. If you want to do some reading, there are reading lights.

Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro E19FBS

Flagstaff E-Pro Trailer

The E19FBS isn’t right for everybody. In fact, in most cases, I would recommend another unit because the Forest River targets a specific audience. These units are best for first-time RV buyers that want to enter the lifestyle but cannot afford the higher-tier units. The quality control isn’t as good as some other brands, and the materials are often, but not always, lower quality or thinner than some of their counterparts. However it still makes our list as one of the best travel trailers for couples.

I love the design. Yes, it is short, so this is a game of sacrifices. It has an open floor plan, so it successfully keeps the unit from feeling claustrophobic even though it is only 20′ long.

Minimal would be a good way to describe it. You do have several spots for storage, but none of it will add up to a comfortable full-time living level of storage. Keep that in mind if you want a seasonal unit rather than a weekend-camper.

The Bed

If the front of the unit is considered north, the queen bed is to that north. They size it at 60″ X 80″, so it is a residential queen rather than the commonly short-changed RV version. You do have some storage both above and below. The storage above the bed is netted and the lower storage is smaller than most under-bed storage compartments.

The Kitchen

To the east, you will find the kitchen. There isn’t much counter-top space if everything is uncovered and in use. However, if the stove’s connected glass cover is closed, the added surface makes the space manageable.

The oven is great! I’ve seen a lot of larger RVs that have ovens that can’t fit much more than a tray of muffins. You have a bit more space with this camper’s oven.

It’s plastic; the whole thing: toilet, shower, shower curtain, and the sink. It’s also a bit on the small side, so there will not be a lot of room to stretch out. If the shower curtain was glass, your knees would probably uncomfortably pressed up against it. However, all of that is expected at this price point, so don’t hate on them too much. The silver lining is that this is a full bath unit which isn’t a given for a unit this size.

Coachmen – Freedom Express 259FKDS

travel trailer under 25 feet

A new year brings new models, and in the case of the Freedom Express line, a new floor plan. The 259FKDS is a fresh take on one of the classic front-kitchen designs. With this fresh take, the 259FKDS brings several needed improvements that have frustrated many otherwise enjoyable weekends. This model comes from Coachmen’s ultra-lite luxury line of travel trailers. The lightweight design, great features, and the comparatively low price point create a fantastic entry point for a wide range of prospective buyers.

Easy To Haul

The combination of a short, lightweight trailer that sits on wide-stance axles makes this a super easy to haul. The wider stance, in a way, gives the driver training wheels by making the trailer pull like a smaller unit. This unit doesn’t come with a backup camera, but it is prepped for it, so that should be easy enough to upgrade.

Amazing Storage

I feel like a broken record by saying this again, but it has great storage. Correction, it has incredible storage. Not only is there storage in every nook and cranny of this camper, but there is a full-through exterior compartment. You don’t normally get one of those on front kitchen designs. That is one of the improvements to this type of floorplan that I was talking about earlier.

Outdoor Kitchen

Another blueprint improvement is the existence of an outdoor kitchen. It’s all there: a cabinet, a large sink with a high-rise faucet, and a medium-sized mini-fridge. Everybody loves a bit of outdoor grilling, and Coleman conveniently included one of their high-quality grills too. There is also a small pocket of space for some storage. Haylett RV suggested placing a small container of utensils in that spot which is a fantastic suggestion.

Indoor Kitchen

It’s fully equipped and nearly as convenient as a residential kitchen. It has great storage and amazing pantry space. The counters are large and the stainless steel double-basin sink has a high-rise faucet. You have the typical cooking appliances: oven, microwave, and three-burner stove.

Room to Stretch

Whether you are tall or wide, this space should work for you. Unless the slides are closed, you should be very comfortable in all of its spaces. The tall 6’9″ ceiling, spacious floor plan, and comfortable seating will welcome almost any size or shape.

I said spacious, and I meant it. The porcelain foot-flush toilet isn’t cramped and the shower with the classy glass door takes full advantage of the tall ceilings. You get some nice storage and somewhat decent counter space.

They managed to fit in a king-size bed. Don’t ask me how. It barely fits, but it does leave enough room to make your way around its edges. Most trailers this size do not have this size of a bed. However, most trailer bedrooms aren’t designed for anything but the bed and storage, so you aren’t really losing any true functionality. I actually like this bedroom’s design more than most units. They still managed to designed to keep it feeling open. There are several large cabinets over the head of the bed, to the sides, and past the foot of the bed.

At the foot, there is a lot of shelving space where the TV is installed. Of course, that comes with all the typical entertainment hookups.

2021 Keystone Cougar 22RBS

Keystone Cougar

Keystone has made one of the best small trailers available today. The 22RBS is a large trailer in a little trailer’s body. It has inherited the big-bodied genetics of the larger trailers but somehow managed to contain them within a very small 25’11” frame. As we go through each of the features, you will see how time after time this trailer exceeds all expectations.

Four Season Camping

Small trailers are very rarely built to withstand the colder temperatures. Thanks to a plethora of weather-related features, the 22RBS cannot only stand a chilly day, but it is rated for zero-degree temperatures. It has a heated and enclosed underbelly, a radiant barrier, and tank heaters. The furnace lines that warm the trailer are set next to the waterlines so that they can take advantage of the radiating heat.

All of that is great for keeping the cold out and the heat inside the trailer. What about if the interior is already at an uncomfortable temperature. If that’s the case, you will be happy to know that the 22RBS includes a 15,000 BTU air conditioner and the 35,000 BTU heater. Between those two, no matter the weather, you will be able to quickly transform any uncomfortable situation into something much more comfortable. It is incredible that the 15,000 BTU is a standard feature. If it was any other brand of trailer, this would definitely be an upgrade. This is a benefit that is included thanks to Keystone’s standardization practice; one of several.

Even though this is considered a lightweight trailer, which it is, it has the 2-inch sidewalls of a heavyweight. It’s a great money saver if you plan on using those costly environmental controls.

If you like a nice breeze on a summer day, you will be happy to know of the many windows that you can find around the unit. Some of the windows are quite large too. The trailers slide is almost entirely composed of them. They are all tinted too, so you will still have the privacy that most of us desire.

Short and Sturdy

The chassis and axles are supremely overpowered which says great things that its ability to withstand all of the potentially damaging effects of time and weight. It also means that you will be able to have a massively increased cargo capacity. Thanks to one of the best uses of storage space; you will have plenty of ways to take advantage of it.

I know I keep bringing this up on each unit, but it is important. There is a TON of storage space. It’s fantastic that there are so many places for storage because the chassis and axles opened the ability for us to make even more room for storing items. In addition to all of that space, you also get the largest hanging closet that I’ve seen in quite a long time. It’s been noted that you could, and people have, fit an entire refrigerator in there.

Any cooks out there should start celebrating. You might just have the best kitchen for a unit of this size. Big counter-tops, lots of storage, three-burner stove, an oven, a double-basin stainless steel sink with a high-rise faucet, a microwave, and all of it just looks fantastic.

In Command App

Your touchscreen command center can connect to your phone. Anything that you would normally control from the panel is accessible from your pocket. It’s super convenient, and I am happy to say, becoming increasingly common across all RVs.

  • Fresh: 60 Gallons

Conclusion On The Best Trailers for Couples
