Lovely Hotel!

Lovely hotel situated a short bus ride from Edinburgh City Centre. Food was excellent having had breakfast and a meal at this Hotel. Lovely clean Hotel and the rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Tea & Coffee and a little cake was also in the room daily! It is those little touches that make the difference. We had a wonderful time at this Hotel and wouldn't hesitate to book in again with Voyage Prive. Many thanks.

Pleasant but tired hotel

The staff at Cottage Lodge were very friendly and efficient, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast choices were good. However, what took the shine off what was my birthday treat for my husband was that the 'snug' welcome room was quite dismal, small, and furnished with just two tables and hard backed chairs The complimentary 'tea and cakes' on arrival turned out to be tea and a slice of cake between two. What could have been a pretty little garden area in front of the room entrance was neglected, so not very welcoming . The back of the door was much in need of a coat of paint, as were parts of the bathroom. The bathroom floor covering was c1970s and showed it.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service. If it’s out of hours they invite you to use their WhatsApp messaging service- day 2 and still waiting for a reply. Also used the ‘Contact Us’ form to send them our thoughts on the accommodation we were staying at - only to receive a reply saying we aim to get back to you within ‘72 hours’ - bearing in mind this is a short break we are having - that isn’t acceptable. We have been staying in a ‘recently renovated’ 4 star hotel - which has been misrepresented on their website. The photos are shocking. The hotel is clearly not. VP promise is ‘high end accommodation’. We have had approximately 8 previous holidays with VP, so they clearly do not value their customers.

A great trip

What a fantastic holiday. It was full of surprises firstly to get our own guides, drivers and vehicles as part of our package .We also had various extra's like meals and spa time,massages etc all thrown in unbe-known to us that was a surprise part of the package !!! All the hotels were of a great 5 star standard as advertised. The content of the tours and the knowledge of the guides was good and interesting.Internal flights were all organised and transfers to domestic and international flights were part of the package. Timekeeping by those parties collecting and getting us to the airports was exceptional - they just appeared at the agreed time and off we went. Contact details of the local agents was also available to answer any queries or uncertainties Cant fault any part of the package,a thoroughly enjoyable holiday .

Family holiday to New York

We had a brilliant visit 2 New York booked with Voyage Privé, everything was so easy from downloading the air company app, online check in, hotel request for two rooms side by side - will definitely use these guys again! I tried to DIY the exact same holiday and couldn’t get it anywhere near the price that Voyage Privé were able to!

Wonderful trip in Porto

Wonderful trip in Porto. We enjoyed every second of it. Our hotel was 15mn (afoot) from the main monuments and the best activities. People were very nice and food is absolutely delicious.

Potluck but always a winner

Useful information readily to hand, interesting destinations and reasonable prices. My last adventure to Barga in Italy turned out to be the best holiday I have ever had in Europe. Great place, great town, great staff and very reasonable. Tout est bien et Pas cher!

I have been given two emergency numbers one for WhatsApp but it doesn’t work. I have had to pay on British airways and now on my connecting flight for my luggage which is not included for a 3 week trip disgraceful Can you please contact me urgently

A beautiful trip to Venice

I recently took my granddaughter to Venice booking everything through Voyage Prive. This was the 4th time I have used this company. The website and app are both easy to use. Everything is well planned and organised. Paperwork is clear. Contact numbers for emergencies are provided before you leave. I am about to use Voyage Prive for the 5th time, to go to Santorini, a clear indication of how we trust this company. Venice was as wonderful as anticipated the second time around.

Flights: You may choose from Economy, Premium or Business class flights on sectors that they operate, at the next stage of the booking process. The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers:  Transfers are included throughout. For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. If you still require assistance, please call the transfer provider directly.

Entry Requirements 

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 

To enter Russia, you’ll need to get a visa before you travel. Make sure you allow enough time to get your visa. The  Russian Embassy  advised in March 2018 that it takes around 20 business days (4 weeks) to process most visa applications.  You will require a letter of invitation to support your visa application, which will be provided by our local supplier. To obtain the letters of invitation required, you will need to send the following information to the local tour company (details will be provided on your voucher). Last name First name Middle name The date of birth Passport number Nationality  Gender Once you have received your letter of invitation, you will need to apply for a visa. We would recommend visiting the following website as the visa application process provided by the Russian Nation Tourist Office. http://www.visitrussia.org.uk/visa/tourist-visa.php Standard Service – 7 working days - £115 Express Service – 2 working days - £210 (prices correct at time of print, subject to change)

As part of the visa application process, all applicants based in the UK aged 12 or over will need to visit a visa application centre to submit biometric data (scanned fingerprints). These are located in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. The Russian government has also announced plans to introduce biometric fingerprinting for all foreign nationals, including British nationals when entering Russia. No dates have been confirmed for this.

On receiving your visa you should check the details carefully including the validity dates and passport number to make sure they are correct. Make sure you’re aware of the terms and conditions attached to your visa before you travel. You should adhere to the validity and conditions of your visa while you’re in Russia, as the authorities strictly enforce all visa and immigration laws.

Immigration Cards

You must sign an immigration card every time you arrive in Russia. This will be given to you at passport control. The card is in 2 identical parts. One part will be retained by the Immigration Officer. You should keep the other part safe as you’ll need to submit this at passport control when you leave Russia. Should you lose it, your departure from Russia could be delayed. There are also many hotels and hostels that will not accept guests without an immigration card.

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. 

You can normally bring prescription and over the counter medication into Russia for personal use. However, if your medication contains narcotic or psychoactive substances (details available on the  Rossiyskaya Gazeta website  in Russian), you must carry a prescription in your name which has been translated into Russian and then notarised. Notarisation services in the UK are available from a Notary Public.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170. If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider. Please read our booking conditions before confirming your holiday.
