World Citi Colleges (WCC) is a system of colleges with campuses in Quezon City, Antipolo, and Guimba. The Quezon City campus, considered to be the main “headquarters” of the colleges was founded in 1971 as the Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges, Inc (QCMCC). Around 1979, the school opened the College of Nursing.
Since the 1980s, the Guico family has been managing the university, adding a number of expansions and achievements throughout the years. One of its most notable feats is the rapid increase of undergraduate medical courses offered. From just a nursing degree, they now have programs like Physical Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pharmacy, and Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry. Another offering is a senior high school program with Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood strands.
World Citi Colleges - Quezon City is duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Department of Education (DepEd), the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), and the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (ACSCU).

Tuition for in-district students at WCC will remain frozen for next academic year
April 25, 2024 Fran LeFort
Tuition for in-district Washtenaw Community College students will remain unchanged for the next academic year, with modest increases for students in other categories.
The WCC Board of Trustees this week unanimously approved a tuition freeze at $99 per credit for on-campus courses and $112 per credit for distance learning for in-district students who live, work or own property in Washtenaw County.
Tuition and fee rates at WCC continue to be among the lowest for Michigan community colleges with the total cost for WCC students consistently ranking in the lowest quartile.
“Affordability is key in our commitment to making college accessible for all. We are thankful to be able to offer this tuition freeze, which is in large part due to the community’s generous support of the college,” said WCC President Dr. Rose B. Bellanca.
Based on a 15-credit hour semester, tuition for a full semester for in-district students enrolled in classes on campus will be $1,485. Full-time students typically take 12-15 credit hours each semester.
Board Treasurer David DeVarti thanked Washtenaw County taxpayers.
“We maintained our tuition at the rate of $99 a credit hour – same as it was last year – and we’re able to do that because of the generosity of the taxpayers of the community. I’m proud we’re able to deliver a top-notch education at a low cost for community members of the county,” DeVarti said.
Visit the college’s website to review the complete chart of 2024-2025 tuition rates .
WCC offers more than 125 academic programs – including business, computer technology, manufacturing, health sciences, transportation technologies, broadcast, communications, engineering, math & science, liberal arts transfer and more.
The college partners with industry to develop programs for in-demand, high-wage jobs to boost the region’s economy.
Many students come to WCC to start their college careers, with the intent to transfer to larger colleges and universities to complete a bachelor’s degree and beyond.
Over the past five years, more than 16,000 alumni have enrolled in 1,147 colleges and universities in all 50 states. WCC transfers more students to the University of Michigan annually than any other community college in the state.
WCC students are eligible for many state and federal scholarships, including the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, Michigan Reconnect Scholarship and Tuition Incentive Program (TIP).
