Aerosmith farewell tour starts in September, includes Toronto and Montreal stops
Aerosmith will be touring for the last time to celebrate the rock band's 50-plus years together.

The 40-date run of shows, which includes a stop in the band's hometown of Boston on New Year's Eve, will end Jan. 26 in Montreal.
The other Canadian stop is in Toronto on Sept. 12.
Guitarist Joe Perry said the group, with frontman Steven Tyler, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer and guitarist Brad Whitford, learned from the staging and production from their recent Las Vegas residency shows.
Perry believes the time to say goodbye is now, especially with every founding band member over the age of 70. Tyler, 75, is the oldest in the group.
"It's kind of a chance to celebrate the 50 years we've been out here," Perry said. "You never know how much longer everybody's going to be healthy to do this. It's been a while since we've actually done a real tour. We did that run in Vegas, which was great. It was fun, but (we're) kind of anxious to get back on the road."
Tyler and Perry said the band is looking forward to digging into their lengthy catalogue of the group's rock classics including "Crazy," "Janie's Got a Gun" and "Livin' on the Edge."
Over the years, Aerosmith, which formed in 1970, has collected four Grammys. The band broke boundaries intersecting rock and hip-hop with their epic collaboration with Run-DMC for "Walk This Way."
Aerosmith performed the Super Bowl halftime show in 2001 and even had their own theme park attraction in 1999 at Disney World in Florida and later in Paris with the launch of the "Rock `n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith" ride.
"We're opening up Pandora's Box one last time to present our fans with the Peace Out tour," Tyler said in a statement to The Associated Press. His "Pandora's Box" reference calls out Aerosmith's 1991 three-disc compilation album that covered the band's output from the 1970s to the early 1980s.
"Be there or beware as we bring all the toys out of the attic. Get ready," Tyler added.
The band said Kramer decided to not take part in the current dates on the upcoming tour. He's still a part of the group, but the drummer has been on leave to "focus his attention on his family and health" since their Vegas residency last year. Drummer John Douglas will continue to play in his place.
Perry called Kramer their brother. The band said his "legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."
Before the 40-date tour wraps, Perry said other cities domestically and internationally could be added.
"It's the final farewell tour, but I have a feeling it will go on for a while," he said. "But I don't know how many times we'll be coming back to the same cities. It could very possibly be the last time."

Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at its very best - gritty, loud, and in your face. Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker , the album that put them on the map. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out now.

About Aerosmith
Celebrating their 50th anniversary, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members Aerosmith have sold more than 150 million albums around the world, produced genre-defining music videos such as “Amazing,” “Crazy,” “Janie’s Got A Gun,” “Livin’ On The Edge,” and “Love In An Elevator,” and launched extravagant record-shattering global tours, most recently with their smash hit Las Vegas residency. The band has broken numerous boundaries, including becoming the first rock band with a massive commercially successful hip-hop collaboration with Run DMC on “Walk This Way” and the first hard rock band to appear during a Super Bowl Halftime Show with their 2001 performance, and in 1999, Aerosmith became the first band to have their own themed attraction at Disney World in Florida and later Paris with the launch of the Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster starring Aerosmith. About The Black Crowes
In 1990, when journalists were lamenting the death of rock, as cheesy pop and hair metal dominated the charts, Atlanta’s Black Crowes gave the genre a swift and much needed kick in the ass with Shake Your Money Maker . Fueled by singles “Jealous Again,” “Twice As Hard,” “She Talks To Angels,” and the break-through cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard To Handle,” the band immediately took the rock world by storm, topping Rolling Stone’s “Best New American Band Readers Poll” in late 1990. The Black Crowes went on to release eight studio and four live albums, selling in the tens of millions along the way; they sold out shows around the world; had legendary guitarist Jimmy Page join as a member; got kicked off a tour with ZZ Top for insulting the sponsor; got screwed by bad record deals; got married and divorced, fought amongst themselves and against the rest of the world. In other words, they’ve done everything a legendary rock group should do

Aerosmith announced Monday they are launching a farewell tour in September.
The Peace Out tour includes Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Sept. 12 and Montreal’s Bell Centre on Jan. 26 with The Black Crowes as opening act. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on May 5.
“It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT!," the band said in a release. "Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives."
Absent from the tour will be drummer Joey Kramer. ‘“He has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health," according to a release. "Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."
The remaining members of Aerosmith currently range from 71 to 75 years old. The band released 15 studio albums between 1973 and 2012.
Canada's Suzie McNeil, who was part of Aerosmith's Vegas residency show, will be on stage with the band during the tour.
As reported here earlier this month, it will be the first time Aerosmith has played in Canada in almost a decade.
Aerosmith performed in Kelowna, Victoria and Fort McMurray as part of the Blue Army Tour in July 2015. The previous summer, the band played in Kitchener, Ont. and Sydney, Nova Scotia.
(Aerosmith was booked to play the inaugural Roxodus Music Festival in Ontario, which was scrapped with only a week to go .)
In 2019, Aerosmith launched the Deuces Are Wild residency in Las Vegas. Eight shows were cancelled last summer so frontman Steven Tyler could complete treatment at a drug rehabilitation facility. In December, a pair of shows were scrapped because he was ill.

Aerosmith reschedules Toronto concert to 2024 after Steven Tyler suffers vocal cord injury
Bryann Aguilar , CP24.com Journalist
@BryannAguilar
Aerosmith has postponed its Tuesday concert in Toronto after the lead singer of the American rock band damaged his vocal cord.
In a statement on the band’s social media page posted Monday evening, Steven Tyler said he received a strict order from the doctor not to sing for the next thirty days.
“I’m heartbroken,” Tyler said. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
Aerosmith was scheduled to perform at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday. That show and five other U.S. dates have been rescheduled to 2024.
The band will now play in Toronto on Feb. 21, 2024.
All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the new dates, the band said, adding that refunds are also available for those who won’t be able to attend.
Aerosmith began its farewell “Peace Out” tour earlier this month in Philadelphia.

Aerosmith 2024 Farewell Tour: How to Get Tickets
by Em Casalena April 12, 2024, 11:20 am
Aerosmith’s upcoming farewell tour is going to be a huge deal and likely the last time the band will tour indefinitely. They won’t trek the US and Canada alone, either. Teddy Swims will open for the first tour date and The Black Crowes will be opening for the remaining tour dates. The Peace Out Tour was slated for last year, but after Steven Tyler suffered a serious vocal injury, the dates had to be postponed. Now it looks like the band is ready to kick off their very last tour, and tickets are selling out lightning-fast! We’ll break down how to snag seats to this tour before they’re gone for good.
Videos by American Songwriter
The final farewell Aerosmith 2024 Tour will kick off on September 20 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at PPG Paints Arena with support from Teddy Swims. The last tour date will be February 26, 2025 in Buffalo, New York at the KeyBank Center with support from The Black Crowes.

I have been an Aerosmith fan since I was 2 years old, back in 1974, and I used to try to swerve my hips back 'n' forth à la Steven Tyler.
I have only had the chance to see them 3 times in my life, and it seems that every time they come in concert life whisks me away some place else!
So now I'm in Cyprus for a long time coming... and nearly nobody ever comes out to this little (amazing) island at the end of the Mediterranean sea. It's unfortunate as there are some true fans out here, and I'm sure the band would love to make a pitstop in this paradisal place.
@Aerosmith - PLEASE COME!!! It really is worth it here.

I have seen Aerosmith over 30 times!!! I am from Fl., in 2015 they didn't come to the east coast. So I went to the 2nd to last concert of "The Blue Army Tour" in Hildago,Tx.
It was the best concert by them that I have seen yet.
3rd row 3rd seat, Steven Tyler seemed and acted like he was a 25-year-old .
After 30 times of seeing them I felt like it was my 1st. He threw his harmonica to me and I went nuts.
I have to say that it was the highlight of my life. Next to having my son it was the best day of my life.
I can hardly wait until they come again.......it won't be soon enough.
This was my first time I saw Aerosmith.. It was a fantastic show.. I were very impressed by there performance and the tempo they had.. Very sad it's their last tour because they are so fucking good and I want to enjoy there outstanding and professional performance more then this one time..
Aerosmith fan for life now!
