Transpacific Voyages

Please note the “international date line” portion of the transpacific itineraries.

The International Date Line (IDL) is an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth, established by the International Meridian Conference of 1884, that runs from the north to the south pole and demarcates one calendar day from the next. It passes through the middle of the Pacific Ocean, roughly following the 180° longitude but it deviates to pass around some territories and island groups. The IDL is on the opposite side of the Earth to the Prime Meridian. The Prime Meridian is used to define Universal Time and is the meridian from which all other time zones are calculated. Time zones to the east of the Prime Meridian are in advance of UTC (up to UTC+14); time zones to the west are behind UTC (to UTC-12).The IDL and the moving point of midnight separate the two calendar days that are current somewhere on Earth. A traveller crossing the IDL eastbound subtracts one day, or 24 hours, so that the calendar date to the west of the line is repeated after the following midnight. Crossing the IDL westbound results in 24 hours being added, advancing the calendar date by one day. The IDL is necessary to have a fixed, albeit arbitrary, boundary on the globe where the calendar date advances in the westbound direction. International Date Line Details from P&O Cruises
  • 13-Night South Pacific Cruise from Honolulu ending in Sydney October 12, 2023 Embark on a one-of-a-kind vacation at sea to Sydney, Australia on a 13-night cruise—with 14 sunsets—departing from Honolulu, Hawai’i. While sailing the Pacific blue, enjoy award-winning entertainment, exciting deck parties, imaginative dining, Character encounters and more. In Australia, spend time exploring a host of fascinating destinations, including the Sydney Opera House, botanical gardens, golden-sand beaches and a vibrant dining scene.
  • 15-Night South Pacific Cruise from Sydney ending in Honolulu February 16, 2024 Cast off on the journey of a lifetime with this 15-night cruise sailing through the South Pacific and over the international date line, where you’ll experience the same calendar day twice amid 14 sunsets. Explore Sydney’s stunning botanical gardens, golden-sand beaches and cosmopolitan city center—home to a beautiful harbor and the iconic Opera House—before setting sail through the mighty Pacific Ocean. Along the way, dock at American Samoa , Fiji , New Caledonia and the Hawaiian island of Maui. While at sea, delight in award-winning entertainment, exciting deck parties, imaginative dining, Character encounters and more.

10/3/23 cruise is from Vancouver to Honolulu

' src=

Scott, the 10-night Hawaiian cruises are reversed. 10/3/23 is the outbound Vancouver to Hawai’i. 3/1/24 is the return Hawai’i to Vancouver.

' src=

It is not of benefit to my health to do the so called COVID vaccine. And by not having done the shot , those I encounter are at no greater risk of the virus no matter if they have had the shot or not. I ( as well as thousands of others) hope it is not a requirement in order to sail. I would be glad to test before during and/or after a sailing. So glad to have had the opportunity to do 14 cruises with DCL and visit almost all the ports they offered in the past. Sadly I feel the cruise experience with DCL may not be the same as in the past from all the articles I have tried to keep updated with. Glad to read that DCL is ready to venture to new water of the South Pacific. °o°

' src=

way to vent your %^&$ , no one cares about your vaccine hesitancy stupidity

' src=

Looks like dry dock 19th to 3rd as there is a gap.

' src=

I am beyond excited by this, as I live in Australia and will be able to board the beautiful Wonder from my home town of Brisbane next year!

' src=

I cannot wait!!!!!!!!

Scott, the titles & descriptions for the 2 Hawai’i cruises need to be swapped. Just a heads up.

' src=

Some of the dates are hard to understand.

Oct 3, 2023 10 nights Honolulu to Vancouver.

Oct 12, 2023 13 nights Honolulu to Sydney.

Will there be 2 different ships?

' src=

No. Scott has the dates mixed up. Check the included DCL leaflet which shows the correct dates.

No, just the Wonder. The article above has the title and descriptions of the 2 Hawai’i cruises accidentally flip-flopped.

' src=

Thanks for understanding this was an accident.

' src=

Catherine, it is Vancouver to Honolulu which should make much more sense 😉 Sounds amazing but way to far for us unfortunately being in Europe.

Thanks! Yes, they do sound amazing but, being from Canada flights would be long too. But, AMAZING itineraries!!!

' src=

What are the itineraries for the 2-6 night cruises departing from Sydney during October, November and December?

' src=

Any idea on when the cruises sailing from and returning to Australia will be revealed? Far more interested in those.

' src=

So, a lot to unpack here – on top of the transpacific announcement… So with the Wonder back in Vancouver on March 11…. This is too early to start Alaska… so a repo to San Diego for a few sailings and then back for Alaska? The timing makes sense and matches previous arrivals in SD post Panama… More Hawaii would be nice… but odds are that this would have been announced as part of this release. No sailings out of San Diego for the Winter 24 season? (unless the Magic was to go back again… doubtful)… and as suggested above, a drydock in late Sept. 23?

' src=

Safe to assume the standard early booking window also applies for the Australia/New Zealand cruises?

' src=

I just want to know where the 3 and 4 night cruises will go. That’s not long enough to get anywhere and back from most ANZ cities.

Ross, It sounds like these will be similar voyages to those offered last summer on the Disney Magic in Europe, where the ship was the destination and the voyages were all sea days. It sounds like we will learn more on Monday, September 26th.

' src=

Any idea what the booking dates are for the Australia cruises?

We should learn more by September 26th.

' src=

I’m surprised that they haven’t done a cruise out of China or Japan yet. Then again that would probably require a completely different cruise staff than one that caters to mostly English speaking guests.

' src=

those repositioning cruises sound absolutely epic and priced fairly; it’s just getting to or from sydney…

As well as making its maiden voyages Down Under, the Mouse House's cruise line will also sail between Sydney and Honolulu.

Disney Is Launching Its First-Ever South Pacific Cruises Between Australia and Hawaii

Come October 2023, Disney fans Down Under can enter a whole new world, hitting the sea on the Mouse House's cruise line on its first voyages from Australia and New Zealand . Fancy sailing further afield, from Sydney to Honolulu or vice versa? In 2023 and 2024, the company is also launching its first-ever South Pacific cruises — one coming to Australia, the other heading to Hawaii.

These legs are known as repositioning cruises, aka the journeys that ships take when they've finished their stints in one area and need to make their way to another for a new season. Of course, vessels don't make those trips without passengers, so if you're keen on spending a couple of weeks floating around the South Pacific surrounded by all things Marvel , Pixar and Star Wars , now you can.

Tickets go on sale at 8am AEDT on Thursday, October 13, with two voyages scheduled around the Mouse House's maiden 'Magic at Sea' Australian and NZ cruises: a 13-night voyage from Honolulu to Sydney departing on October 13, 2023, then a 15-night trip the other way leaving on February 16, 2024.

Unsurprisingly, the 'Magic at Sea' legs between Australia and Aotearoa have proven as popular as Disney movies with, well, everyone, so expect these legs to attract plenty of interest.

And yes, these lengthy South Pacific trips are only sailing to and from Sydney — so if you live elsewhere, you will need to factor that into your travels.

Disney has been running cruises for nearly a quarter-century, taking fans of its ever-growing array of pop culture wares on themed vacations, all thanks to its Disney Cruise Line. Alas, setting sail to and from Down Under hasn't been a possibility until now.

Onboard, you'll watch live musical shows, see Disney characters everywhere you look and eat in spaces decked out like Disney movies. Those musicals include a Frozen show; another production dedicated to the company's old-school favourites like Peter Pan , Pinocchio , Cinderella and Aladdin ; and a Golden Mickeys performance, which is obviously all about Mickey Mouse. Or, there's a Mickey party set to DJ beats, nightly fireworks and a pirate shindig on the vessel's deck.

The entertainment also includes Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Moana, Tiana, Cinderella, Woody, Jessie and more wandering around the ship. Plus Chewbacca, Rey, Spider-Man , Captain Marvel and Thor as well, if you like hanging out around folks in costumes.

The dining setup rotates, so each day of the cruise takes you to a different location with a different theme. One day, you'll hit up the Animator's Palate, which focuses on bringing Disney characters to life — including getting patrons to draw their own characters — and on the next, you'll get munching in a restaurant inspired by The Princess and the Frog , and serving up New Orleans-inspired dishes.

Or, there's also Triton's, which offers an under the sea theme given it's named after Ariel 's father, and serves four-course French and American suppers.

For folks travelling with young Disney devotees, there's also a whole range of activities just for kids — but adults without littlies in tow are definitely catered for, complete with a dedicated pool for travellers aged 18 and over, an adults-only cafe, the Crown & Fin pub, cocktail bar Signals, Italian eatery Palo, and a day spa and salon.

Room-wise, there's ten different types to choose from — some with private verandahs, and some with ocean views through portholes.

Disney Cruise Line's 'Magic at Sea' cruises will sail from Honolulu to Sydney in October 2023, then from Sydney to Honolulu in February 2024, with bookings open from 8am AEDT on Thursday, October 13, 2022. For more information, head to the cruise line's website .

disney hawaii to australia cruise

Disney's bread & butter has been 3 and 4 night cruises out of Port Canaveral, and most often as part of a land based package with a WDW component. Then they started more traditional 7 night Caribbean itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale. Just a few years ago they started some West Coast itineraries.

Now with an expansion into transpacific and multiple "at sea" day cruises , transatlantic and European/Mediterranean cruises , DCL is really going after conventional cruisers, not just Disney fans and families.

How Many Disney Cruises to Hawaii Are There?

In comparison with other Disney Cruise Line destinations, Hawaii has significantly fewer sailings than other itineraries. There are typically two to four Disney Cruises visiting Hawaii each year .

Due to the small number of cruises, it is essential to book your trip as early as possible since there are only a limited number of staterooms available. The Vacationeer can help you pick out the perfect Disney cruise based on your budget and preferences.

How Long Are Disney’s Hawaii Cruises?

Disney Cruise Line offers a unique opportunity to experience the stunning beauty of Hawaii through a limited number of Hawaiian cruises. Disney Hawaiian cruises usually last 9-10 nights, while South Pacific Cruises (which also include Hawaii) last around 15 nights .

Experienced and adventurous cruisers may prefer these extended Disney cruises to Hawaii and Disney South Pacific cruises, spending more time in Disney’s Hawaiian ports of call and aboard the magnificent Disney Wonder out at sea. First-time Disney cruisers , however, may find the shorter Disney cruises from Florida to Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island , a better choice, as it offers a glimpse of Disney’s magical experiences without the commitment of an extended trip while still being in a sunny tropical setting.

Since availability is limited, it’s important to act quickly to secure your spot on one of these exclusive cruises. The Vacationeer can provide expert trip-planning guidance to ensure you choose the perfect Disney cruise that fits your budget and preferences. They can also keep you informed about future Disney Cruise Line Hawaiian cruise itineraries. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them with any inquiries – they’re friendly, and their services are free!

How Much Do Disney Cruises to Hawaii Cost?

Guests are often pleasantly surprised at how much value they receive on Disney cruises, and these Hawaiian cruises are no exception.

For example, the March 2024 10-Night Hawaiian Cruise from Honolulu to Vancouver starts at $5,200 .

The cost of your Disney Hawaiian cruise depends on the stateroom type you choose and the number of people in your party. More luxurious staterooms generally begin at a higher price than those in the Inside tier. Adding more than two people to your reservation will also increase the cost.

For instance, if you have a family of four, an Inside stateroom starts at around $7,500. And if you want to upgrade to the Verandah category, which offers spectacular ocean views, it starts at around $7,800 for two people — and roughly $11,400 for four.

It’s important to note that prices and availability are subject to change, so it’s always wise to check with The Vacationeer for the most up-to-date information.

Also don’t forget to factor in airfare; these cruises are typically one-way voyages which do not return to the original departure port. You’ll almost certainly need to purchase “open jaw” airfare, with one leg of the flight being as far away as Canada or possibly even Australia.

Disney Hawaiian Cruises: What’s Included in the Price?

Disney cruises are all-inclusive , which is a selling point and a place where value is found. Dining, entertainment, activities, and services are all included in the price, as are character meet-and-greets, movie screenings, Broadway-quality shows, water activities, and fireworks.

Oceaneer Club, Edge, and Vibe provide complimentary activities for children and teens. At the same time, adults can access a range of amenities such as an adult-only pool, nightclub, and fitness center.

Moreover, the price of a Disney cruise includes port expenses, taxes, and fees, making it an exceptional value for families. However, keep in mind that airfare, gratuities , specialty restaurants, spas, shore excursions (Port Adventures), bottled beverages, and alcohol purchased on a Disney cruise aren’t covered.

About the Disney Hawaiian Cruise Terminals

High-Rise Buildings in the Honolulu Harbor

Honolulu Harbor | Image © State of Hawaii

Disney’s 2024 and 2025 Hawaiian Cruises are all one-way cruises. Your cruise will start in either:

  • Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada
  • Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Sydney, Australia

You’ll end in one of the remaining two ports.

Given that most travelers from the US will be traveling from either Honolulu or Vancouver, we’re focusing on these two ports below.

Disney Cruise Line Honolulu Terminal

During one-way Hawaiian cruises, Disney Cruise Line either departs or arrives at Honolulu Harbor (aka the Port of Honolulu). Located on the southern coast of Oahu Island, Honolulu is Hawaii’s largest seaport and capital city. The harbor is deep and protected, ideal for cruises.

Honolulu Harbor has two cruise terminals – the Aloha Tower Cruise Terminal (Pier 11) and Terminal Pier 2. Disney Cruise Line uses Pier 2, which offers modern passenger amenities and luggage storage for a nominal fee.

As the state’s principal airport, Honolulu International Airport offers regular domestic and international flights. It is easily accessible by Uber, taxi, or Oahu Island’s public transportation. The Port of Honolulu is about five miles from Honolulu International Airport.

What is Disney Cruise Line’s Address at the Honolulu Harbor?

Here is the Honolulu Harbor Port Terminal address:

Nevertheless, you can easily find rideshare, taxi, and shuttle services between the airport and the port, making transportation to the terminal much more convenient. These services can help you arrive at the port on time and without the added stress of finding parking. Additionally, since this is a one-way cruise, leaving your car at home may be more practical.

While parking at Pier 2 is unavailable, Aloha Tower Marketplace offers self-parking and valet parking for a flat daily rate after three hours. The address and contact information for Aloha Tower Marketplace is 1 Aloha Tower Dr, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, and their phone number is 808-566-2337.

Cruises to Australia From Hawaii

Cross the sapphire-blue Pacific on a luxurious cruise to Australia from Hawaii with Celebrity. You’ll follow the warm tradewinds on a transpacific voyage via the exquisite islands of French Polynesia, a breathtaking region of towering volcanoes, plunging waterfalls, glossy green rainforests, and scented tropical blooms. Snorkel over dazzling corals in aquamarine lagoons, feast on fresh ceviche and tropical fruits, and shop for precious black pearls.

You’ll also visit Auckland, one of New Zealand’s most beautiful cities, surrounded by sparkling water, incredible surfing beaches, and rolling farmland. Stop in galleries and museums, head up the Sky Tower for sweeping views, and venture to the nearby wine country to sample New Zealand’s finest vintages. Some voyages also spend a day at the blissful Bay of Islands, an outdoor lover’s paradise, before heading across the Tasman Sea to the extravagantly beautiful city of Sydney, Australia.

Discover the lush beauty of sun-kissed Tahiti from the island’s sleepy capital, Papeete. Snorkel in aquamarine lagoons among fish of every color of the spectrum, or laze in the sun on a scenic catamaran cruise. Visit the sacred Arahurahu Marae, a restored archaeological site, and breathe in the exotic scent of tropical blooms as you stroll the leafy trails in the Vaipahi Gardens. You’ll be enchanted by the warmth of the local people and their happy approach to life.

A magical island where verdant volcanic peaks plunge straight into turquoise seas, and tropical forest is patchworked with pineapple plantations, Moorea lies across the water from Tahiti. Fly over the forest on a zipline, or interact with curious stingrays in the crystal-clear water. Head up to Belvedere Lookout for heart-stopping views of spiky mountains and fringing reefs, or join a local marine biologist on a boat trip to look for the wild dolphins that inhabit the warm waters here.

Bay of Islands, New Zealand

More than 150 uninhabited, wooded islands are scattered across the azure seas of this sub-tropical paradise, an outdoor adventure playground for hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and boat trips to spot whales and dolphins. See where the Treaty of Waitangi, the founding document of modern New Zealand, was signed in 1840. Visit the Kawiti Caves, draped with dramatic stalactites and stalagmites and famed for the millions of glow worms that illuminate the scene with their eerie light.

Disney Cruise Australia and New Zealand Concierge Cost – Benefits and Prices

Sharing is caring!

Wondering how much a Disney Cruise to Australia and New Zealand costs if you sail in Concierge?

The Disney Wonder is sailing to Australia and New Zealand in late 2023 and early 2024.

Whichever stateroom you choose on the Disney Wonder you will have a fabulous time.

But if you want to sail with all the luxury and perks of a Disney Concierge stateroom you will be paying a higher rate.

Here we look at the price of the Disney Australia cruises in Concierge Staterooms.

What are the Benefits of Sailing Disney Concierge on the Disney Wonder?

As well as upgraded furnishings and larger staterooms, there are a number of benefits to staying in a Concierge Stateroom on the Disney Wonder.

Access to the Disney Concierge Lounge

This is located on Deck 10 of the Disney Wonder. You must use your Key to the World to access it and non-concierge guests are not allowed to enter.

Your Disney Concierge staff are located in the Lounge and will help you in any way that they can to secure reservations, help with questions and just generally do anything possible to make your cruise even more magical.

The Disney Wonder Concierge Lounge has a large seating area with fabulous views of the outside.

Light snacks are available throughout the day and there is a refrigerator with help-your-self soft beverages which is kept stocked all day.

The “legendary” coffee maker is also available for guests.

In the evening there are complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served by the very knowledgeable and always helpful bar staff. They will know your favorite tipple by the second day.

There is also an outside seating area which is great for soaking up the sun or just taking in the views.

A relatively new feature is that Concierge Guests are also seated in the Walt Disney Theatre before the doors open – so you can grab the best seats. They also give you complimentary popcorn to enjoy in the show.

Concierge status also gives you priority boarding on embarkation and priority disembarkation.

Another great perk is that Concierge guests have priority with bookings for excursions and onboard activities. Your Concierge will contact you by email prior to the cruise and ask what activities you would like to book and you will be given priority 120 days before your sailing.

What Disney Cruise Concierge Staterooms are Available?

Let’s look first at the type of staterooms which are available for Concierge Guests on the Disney Wonder.

There are four types of Disney Wonder Concierge stateroom

  • Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
  • Conierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah
  • Concierge 2-Bedroom Suite with Verandah
  • Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah

All of the Concierge Suites are located on Deck 8 of the ship.

Disney Wonder Concierge Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

This is a relatively new category of stateroom on the Disney Wonder.

These used to be Category 4 Family Oceanview with Verandah Staterooms.

However, when the Disney Wonder went into dry dock a few years ago a selection of mid-ship cabins on Deck 8 got the upgraded decor treatment.

All of these staterooms sleep up to 5 guests and have 304 square feet of space.

There is a Queen bed, a sleeper sofa with a pull-down bunk above, and a Murphy bed.

disneywonderconciergeverandahstateroom

Disney Wonder Concierge 1 Bedroom Suite with Verandah

These Category T staterooms sleep up to 5 guests and have 614 square feet of space.

These suites have a separate bedroom with a Queen size bed and a separate living room with a double sofa bed.

All the suites also have a pull-down twin bed. Some are in the living area, others in the bedroom.

The suites with the pull-down bed in the living area are priced higher than the ones where the bed is in the Queen bedroom.

A very desirable feature of the suite is that it has 2 bathrooms. The verandah is a very spacious double the width of standard verandahs on the ship.

Concierge 2 Bedroom Suite with Verandah

At 945 square feet, which includes the triple-wide verandah, these beautiful suites give you plenty of space. They sleep up to 7 guests.

The two-bedroom suites are Category S.

Each of the two bedrooms has a Queen size bed.

The living area has a double sofa bed. There are walk-in closets, a wet bar, a DVD player, and a total of two and a half bathrooms.

One of the bathrooms has a jacuzzi tub.

There are only 2 suites on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic both of which are located on Deck 8.

Disney Wonder Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah

Want to stay in the very best stateroom on the Disney Wonder?

Then choose a Royal Suite!

There are only two suites on each ship and they are named the Walter E. Disney Suite and the Roy O. Disney Suite.

Both Royal Suites sleep up to seven guests in luxurious surroundings.

Each Royal Suite has two bedrooms.

One has a Queen bed and the other has two twin beds and two pull-down beds.

disneywonderroyodisneysuite

There is a large living room with a wall pull-down bed, dining area, wet bar, and walk-in closets.

The suites have 2 and a half bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi tub).

With 1029 square feet of the total area including the verandah you are going to have a lot of space to enjoy.

How Much Does a Disney Wonder Concierge Stateroom Cost?

Here we have listed all of the Disney Australia and New Zealand cruises for late 2023 and early 2024 that were available on the opening day.

The prices are correct on 27 September 2022.

All rates shown are for 2 guests in US Dollars and include taxes and fees.

If you want current pricing or to book a cruise you should go to the Disney Cruise Line Site

Disney Cruise Concierge staterooms are very popular and are highly likely to sell out quickly – particularly on these Australia and New Zealand cruises.

Even as we looked before the cruises were available to the general public and were only available to Castaway Club Members some of the concierge staterooms were sold out for the New Zealand cruises.
