How to Visit National Parks for Free in 2024

Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This influences which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money .

From the towering mountains of North Cascades and underwater ecosystem of Biscayne to the geothermal marvels of Yellowstone and vast dunes of White Sands, the national parks encompass some of the best of what the U.S. has to offer.

However, national park entrance fees can be expensive — the most popular parks charge up to $35 per vehicle. Fortunately, the National Park Service (NPS) offers fee-free days to outdoor lovers throughout the year.

Whether you’re planning a vacation on a budget or just want to save a few bucks, on these dates you can hike, swim or simply enjoy the views without the usual entrance fee. Here are the free national park days in 2024, plus some other tips and tricks to save money the rest of the year.

Visit on Free National Park Days 2024

Though official dates haven’t yet been announced, it’s anticipated there will be five days in 2024 when you can visit all national parks for free. The holidays will remain the same as the free national park days in 2023, though exact dates may differ.

Here are the five dates in 2024 you can enter any U.S. national park without paying a fee:

Jan. 15, 2024 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day): To celebrate the birthday of this civil rights hero, parks are free on this holiday.

April 20, 2024 (National Park Week): In honor of the first day of National Park Week, entrance fees will be waived at all national parks.

Aug. 4, 2024 (Anniversary of Great American Outdoors Act) : To celebrate the Great American Outdoors Act, which was passed in 2020, park entrance is free for all on this day.

Sept. 28, 2024 (National Public Lands Day) : On the fourth Saturday of September, explore (and consider volunteering at) a new park for free in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Nov. 11, 2024 (Veterans Day): Whether you’re a veteran, know one or just want to visit the parks, everyone can visit for free on Veterans Day.

Other ways to gain free entrance to national parks

These five days a year aren’t the only way to score free entrance to the national parks. Here are some other ways to gain access for free year-round.

Show your military ID

Whether you’re active military or a veteran, you can get a free annual pass to enter the national parks. A Military Annual Pass is for those currently serving in a branch of the U.S. armed forces and their dependents.

You must present proof of eligibility (e.g. a military ID or other valid form of identification) but you can obtain it in person at a park or online (for a small fee).

Veterans with a valid ID and Gold Star Families (with a valid voucher) can get a free Military Lifetime Pass. Obtain one at a federal recreation site or the United States Geological Survey online store for a minimal processing fee.

Visit with a fourth-grader

One way to gain free access to national parks in 2024 is to go with a fourth-grade student. To obtain the pass, you must have a valid paper voucher from the Every Kid Outdoors website (a digital copy on a phone won’t cut it). When presented at a national park property, it can be exchanged for a free 4th Grade Pass, which will grant the student and their family entry to the parks for the entire school year plus the following summer.

Show proof of permanent disability

Those who can show proof of permanent disability, along with citizenship or residency, can get a free lifetime Access Pass to enter all national recreation areas. You can apply online, in person at a park or by mail for this pass. It also has the added benefit of offering discounts of up to 50% on some park-operated amenities like camping and interpretive services.

Log those volunteer hours

If you’re passionate about volunteering, you may want to consider doing so at participating Interagency Pass Program federal agencies, which include the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Once you rack up 250 volunteer hours (over one or several years), you can pick up a free annual pass.

Other ways to save money on a national park pass

Buy an annual pass : If you plan to visit more than two or three national parks in a year that charge an entrance fee, it may be worth it to purchase an annual pass. It costs $80, so if you visit three parks that charge $30 entrance fees, the pass will save you money.

Load up the car: Many parks charge an entrance fee “per vehicle,” not per person. That means your entrance fee or annual pass covers everyone in a single vehicle, so consider carpooling to save money. At parks that charge “per person,” four adults are covered by an annual pass, but more than that will be charged the per-person rate.

Go with a senior: If you or someone you know is over the age of 62, a lifetime pass costs $80 or an annual pass costs $20 — an excellent value.

Check for timed entry and reservation requirements: Several of the more popular parks require timed entry reservations during parts of the year or to visit specific areas of the park. These often need to be purchased in advance, so check before you go to make sure you won’t be turned away when you arrive.

Visiting the National Parks for free in 2024 recapped

You don’t always have to pay to explore the wonders of America’s national parks. Just plan your visit on one of the national park days with free admission, or visit throughout the year with an applicable pass.

If neither of those options work, there are plenty of other tips you can use to save some cash.

Zürich’s lively and well-preserved Altstadt (Old Town), part of the city centre, boasts an architectural legacy including the Romanesque Grossmünster, built by Charlemagne in the 700s; the 13th-century St. Peter’s Church; and elegant guild houses and patrician residences, some of which are used as restaurants or for civic functions.

Lucerne or Luzern as it is called, is divided into two parts by the Reuss River, which is crossed by seven bridges within the town.

Lucerne has one of the most picturesque settings in Switzerland. The Spreuerbrücke (1407), which is now considered the oldest bridge, is roofed and decorated with 56 paintings including scenes from the Dance of Death from the early 17th century.

Until its destruction by fire in 1993, the Kapellbrücke or the more popularly called Chapel Bridge, was the oldest bridge.

The old town is distinguished by well-preserved 14th-century town walls with nine watchtowers, quaint alleys, and squares. It houses the old town hall, the historical museum, St. Peter’s Chapel, the Hofkirche, the Lion Monument and the Swiss Museum of Transport .

2024 Calendar of Fee Free National Park Days

U .S. National Parks are incredible. A visit to a national park is an opportunity to enjoy nature, protect the planet, and celebrate time with friends, family, and fellow park-goers.

And national parks are even better when they're free!

Every year the National Park Service (NPS) announces several "fee-free days" to ensure that the parks remain accessible to everyone.

"Whether on an entrance fee-free day or throughout the year, we encourage everyone to discover their national parks and the benefits that come from spending time outdoors," said NPS Director Chuck Sams in a statement .

"National parks are for everyone and we are committed to increasing access and providing opportunities for all to experience the sense of wonder, awe, and refreshment that comes with a visit to these treasured landscapes and sites."

There are more than 420 national parks in the United States and 110 have admission fees. This means that during 365 days, more than 310 parks are completely free to visit.

In this article we're highlighting this year's fee-free days, alternative ways to get free or discounted park passes, and ways you can make a positive difference for national parks all year round -

2024 Free National Park Days

The NPS has made six days completely free to visit in 2024:

You can also keep an eye out for other fee-free days offered by other federal and state land management agencies including the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Bureau of Reclamation. (We recommend searching "Fee Free" on their respective websites when planning your next trip - or following their Facebook pages to stay on top of fee-free days.)

2025 Free National Park Days

While the NPS hasn't officially announced 2025's fee-free days - we can make our best guess based on past years. If you're a big fan of planning ahead (which is totally necessary for some national parks !) - here are 2025's fee-free days:

How else can I get free or discounted access to national parks?

Free access, fourth graders and their families.

Thanks to the Every Kid in a Park program and the Every Kid Outdoors Act , fourth graders in the United States get free entry into National Parks. We wish we would have had this when we were kids!

The pass is valid from September 1 through August 31 of a student's fourth-grade year.

According to the Every Kid in a Park program, when a fourth grader travels with their family and friends in one vehicle, they get everyone in for free (at participating sites that charge per vehicle). And if visiting a site that charges per person, the fourth grader and up to three accompanying adults will be admitted for free.

So, it's about time you befriended a cool kid - they come with perks!

You can learn more about the fourth grade pass at everykidoutdoors.gov .

People with Disabilities

The National Park Service offers a free lifetime Access Pass to any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who "has been medically determined to have a permanent disability… that severely limits one or more major life activities."

You can learn more about how to qualify and access the National Park Access Pass on the National Park Service's Accessibility page .

U.S. Military Members and Their Dependents

Current U.S. military members and their dependents, Reserve, and National Guard members can get an annual America the Beautiful - National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Military Pass for free !

U.S. Military Veterans

Veterans get free access to national parks for life! All you need is to present one of the following forms of identification:

  • Department of Defense Identification Card (non-expired CAC Card)
  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
  • Veteran ID Card
  • Veterans designation on a state-issued U.S. driver's license or identification card

There are also new lifetime passes available to veterans - which is especially helpful for national parks where there isn't a person to present your identification to.

Learn more about these benefits and read FAQs from the National Park Service .

Gold Star Families

Gold Star families receive similar National Parks benefits to veterans. According to the National Park Service, Gold Star family members must "download and print a voucher to present to park staff, exchange for an Interagency Military Pass, or place on the vehicle dashboard at unstaffed sites."

Explore the list of federal locations that issue passes or access your voucher online on the National Park Service military FAQ page .

Eligible National Park Service Volunteers

The Volunteers-in-Parks (VIP) program provides opportunities for parks-lovers of all ages to volunteer in national parks. You can volunteer as much or as little as you want, but if you complete at least 250 volunteer hours -with a federal agency participating in the Interagency Pass Program (IPP) - within one year, you will receive a one-year Volunteer Pass.

This will give you access to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas participating in the IPP - including every national park!

150 Life Quotes: Hope, Inspiration, & Positivity

Discounted access, u.s. citizens over 62 years old.

On your 62nd birthday (or anytime after), you can (and should!) buy an $80 lifetime pass. This pass will get you into any U.S. national park for free for the rest of your life. You can also purchase a significantly discounted $20 annual pass.

Anyone & Everyone

If you're going to visit multiple parks in a year, the annual America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is only $80. It'll pay for itself in just a few visits!

This is especially helpful for trips to locations - like Arizona or Utah - where you might be visiting multiple national parks in a day or week.

This pass is available to anyone - and according to the National Parks Service, those traveling with passholders can usually enter parks for free.

We recommend buying the pass from (our wonderful affiliate partner!) REI , because they'll also donate  10% of the pass's proceeds to the National Forest Foundation, the National Park Foundation, and the U.S. Endowment for Forestry & Communities.

The pass is good for one year from the month you purchase - so there's no need to wait until the beginning of the year to buy.

How much do national park admission fees cost?

Admission fees for national parks range from $5 to $35. For example, Zion National Park currently charges $20 per person - and Pictured Rocks National Park charges $5 per person.

Many parks allow you to pay per vehicle - which brings the price down significantly if you're visiting with your whole family or a group of friends.

According to the National Park Service, all of the money from admission fees remain with the service - and 80%-100% of the money stays in the park where it was collected.

And again, the annual America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is only $79.99 .

How else can I support U.S. National Parks?

Practice responsible recreation .

When you visit national parks (or anywhere, really), you have the opportunity to leave the place better than you found it.

Pick up your trash, pick up someone else's trash, stay on marked trails, follow park rules, be thoughtful about fire, and thank a park ranger. It's what Leslie Knope would want you to do.

Buy Products That Support National Parks

If you're going to shop anyway, you might as well choose to buy products that make a positive difference. There are a number of incredible brands that donate a portion of their profits to support national parks.

Call Your Representatives

Our national parks are protected because of intentional legislative choices throughout American history. By calling your elected officials , you can help ensure that national parks have the funding they need, are cared for after disasters, and are never auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Simply let your representatives know that you value national parks and want them to work to protect them. This becomes especially relevant when national parks are in the news.

Become a Volunteer

Giving a little bit of your time and energy to a national park near you can make a big difference - and there's a diverse range of opportunities available.

"Some positions are specialized and require particular talents, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as a background check," reads the NPS website. "Other positions only require a desire and willingness to volunteer."

Unique volunteer opportunities include:

Some volunteer opportunities come with small stipends, free housing, or other perks.

Regardless of the volunteer position you take on, it's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time in the parks, make a meaningful difference, and, as mentioned earlier, a great way to get a free national parks pass.

You can explore volunteer opportunities at volunteer.gov .

Become a Park Ranger

People who work in recreation-centric careers, including park rangers, consistently rank their jobs among the most meaningful jobs in the United States . And every day you get to play a role in protecting and celebrating nature.

While jobs in the National Park Service are highly competitive, there are plenty of ways to get your foot in the door - including specific career opportunities for students and for adults over 55 years old.

If the life of a park ranger aligns with your lifestyle, budget, and values, it's an absolutely dreamy career choice.

Hikers on a trail surrounded by red rock formations in Arches National Park

Did you know that there are several days each year that are free national park days? Admission fees are waived on these dates to make sure that everyone who wants to visit a national park can do so regardless of their ability to pay. They also serve as a way to encourage new visitors and celebrate what the documentarian, Ken Burns called “America’s Best Idea” . These are the 5 free days in 2023. Be sure to block your calendar if you have any national park service parks and recreation sites nearby.

2024 Free Entrance Days at National Parks & Recreation Sites

January 15 (monday): birthday of martin luther king, jr., april 20 (saturday): first day of national park week, june 19 (wednesday): juneteenth, august 4 (sunday): anniversary of the great american outdoors act, september 28 (saturday): national public lands day, november 11 (monday): veterans day.

The entrance fee waiver only covers the admission fees, but it’s not only for national parks. The free days are also good for all other National Park Service properties that charge admission. There are over 2000 NPS sites across the USA.

Fees for amenities or user fees for activities like camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours aren’t normally included in the free day waivers.

How Much are National Park Fees Normally?

The good news is that only 108 out of 423 national parks charge an entrance fee, but those parks are the most popular and well-known. For Americans, some of your tax dollars help support the National Park Service. This makes most fees for national parks in America very reasonable, compared to other activities these days. Admission fees range from $3 to $25 and cover an entire carload of people for a week. To find the rate for a specific park, you can check this list of park admission fees, go to the park website, or call to confirm the exact rates.

The first time you enter a national park you’ll pay the admission fee and get a receipt of some kind that you either carry with you or display in your car whenever you’re in the park for the next seven days. This is a big advantage for those who want to really enjoy everything about the park over several days.

Which Parks Waive Admission on National Park Free Days?

Nearly every park that normally charges admission participates in the free national park days. Here’s a list of all the parks participating this year with links to the national park website so you can confirm with them directly or ask any questions that you have.

In addition to these parks, many sites within the National Park Service never charge admission fees.

How Can I Get Free or Discounted Admission to National Parks?

If you plan to visit any national park(s) more than once in a twelve-month period or have plans to visit some of the 2000 other federal recreation sites you may want to buy an Annual Pass for a specific park or one of the other “America the Beautiful” passes issued by the National Park Service. Annual passes also include admission for sites under the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, and US Army Corps of Engineers.

All National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Annual Passes provide entrance to a variety of recreation sites including national parks, national seashores, national monuments, national historical sites, and more.

  • As a volunteer, you can take as long as you need to log the 250 hours. Once you reach that goal you can apply for a pass. Once issued, the pass is good for 12 months.
  • Would you like to volunteer at a national park or another federal recreation site? If so, visit the official “ Volunteer.gov ” website, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Volunteer website, or check directly with the park or location where you’d like to volunteer. National parks often have links on their website to openings as well.

What Else Should I Know About National Park Passes?

National Parks Pass Hang tag and Annual Pass

There are some federal recreation areas where there isn’t a specific entrance gate where you can pay an entrance fee. In those cases, you can display your annual or lifetime pass if your car is parked on federal land. Display your pass on your rearview mirror using a free hangtag or on your dashboard with the signature side showing.

You should get a green plastic hangtag (above) along with your annual pass. But if you didn’t get one or you lose it you may be able to ask for one at a National Park or Recreation area location. Remember, the hangtag itself is only a way to hold your Pass. It’s not valid for entry unless it holds a valid unexpired Pass.

small wrapped gift

If you own an open-topped vehicle (jeep, motorcycle, etc.) you may obtain a free decal to attach to your vehicle that will serve as proof of payment at sites that don’t have a staffed entrance station.

Find out more here about each of these passes as well as links to purchase them online if you’d rather not wait to buy one at a federal recreation site or national park.

What Do My National Park Fees Pay For?

At least 80 percent of the money for national park admission fees stays in the park where it’s collected. The other 20 percent helps parks that don’t collect fees. Funds improve visitor experience, so the money you contribute comes right back to you in benefits like new exhibits, road and facility maintenance, trail improvements, and campground staff.

However, while national parks charge fees, these fees are not nearly enough to fund the national park system, which is why the NPS depends so heavily on Congressional budget appropriations. Be sure to let your representatives in Congress know that you support and value the National Park Service. This can help prevent NPS budget cuts to make room for other less-valuable government expenses.

Which National Park Should I Visit First?

That’s the million-dollar question, right? If you ask 100 people you’ll likely get at least 50 different answers. I’ve visited nearly 40 of the 64 “official” national parks (not including the lesser parks that aren’t technically considered “national parks”). If you count all the National Park Service properties, I’d guess that I’ve visited at least 100. Maybe more. I have several favorites but would have a hard time choosing just one. Here are a few posts about some of the national parks that I’ve been to:

100 Ways to Enjoy Grand Canyon National Park – Arizona

Gettysburg Battlefield National Military Park – Pennsylvania

Shenandoah National Park – Virginia

There are many more national parks blog posts in the works and some travel guides as well. S ign up for my newsletter , to find out when they’re published.

It did not take us long to realize that it was a great idea to get a National Park Pass. But the variety in pricing and what they covered was always complicated. So great to write a post to help people. And even better when they can plan to visit on a free day! A good reminder to hang your tag – a mistake that caused us some grief on one visit.

' src=

I just learned about the hang tags this year. I’m glad they’re offering them now.

This post inspired a trip to Organ Pipe Pipe Cactus National Monument this MLK Day! Thank you for this information!

You’re quite welcome! Enjoy your trip.

I don’t get to National Parks often but I still purchased my lifetime senior pass. It doesn’t take long for it to pay for itself.

So true! We were fortunate enough to get one before the price went up a few years ago, but even at $80 it’s well worth it if you go to the parks at all.

' src=

This is great info! I’m a huge National Park nerd and I love the fact that there are free days so everyone can visit, no matter their income level. I visit so many parks and federal lands that I pay for the annual America the Beautiful pass every year. I love it!

Thanks, Katy! I truly hope lots of people take advantage of the NPS free days. They are amazing and life-changing places.

' src=

We always get the Annual Pass as long as we think we’ll go to at least 2 parks in the year. If we don’t, donations for the parks, it’s well worth it!

' src=

How interesting to read that your national parks have 5 free days. Perfect for families and to make it more accessible to everyone. Your guide is a helpful one, as it seems there are varying costs for your national parks would could be confusing for travellers.

Hi Renee, I think the parks have different rates based on the size of the park and the amenities involved. Also, the number of visitors dictates the staffing and maintenance needs, so the more popular parks charge more. The annual passes are great for those who plan to visit a few parks in one year.

' src=

Thank you very much for this article, which is suitable for budget travel.

' src=

My pleasure. I think it’s important that everyone visits the National Parks.

GOWILD! PASS FAQ'S

How do i book a gowild flight.

  • Log in with your FRONTIER Miles account number and with a valid GoWild! Pass at FlyFrontier.com (not the Frontier mobile app)
  • Search for a flight to see the GoWild! Pass seats available
  • You will see 3 different options for each flight, Standard, Discount Den, and your GoWild! price
  • Your GoWild! flight will be listed with all the government taxes and fees included with your fare of $0.01

Can multiple passengers book together on one reservation?

Yes, multiple passengers can be booked together on one reservation. However, all passengers must hold a valid GoWild! Pass at time of booking and will be validated during the booking process. Holders of different types of valid GoWild! passes (summer, annual) can book together on one reservation.

Can I mix and match fares (Standard, Discount Den, GoWild!) on a GoWild! reservation?

Yes, different types of fares can be combined on a directional basis provided that all passengers hold a valid GoWild! Pass at the time of booking and that the primary passenger holds a Discount Den membership if Discount Den fares are selected. Holders of different types of valid GoWild! passes (summer, annual) can book together on one reservation.

Is this standby/space available to travel?

No, the GoWild! Pass does not offer access to standby or space available travel. You will be able to search and book confirmed travel as described in the terms and conditions, notably that flights can be booked and confirmed the day before flight departure for domestic travel or starting 10 days before flight departure for international travel, and that flights and seats are subject to availability; last seat availability is not guaranteed.

What happens if I no-show or can’t make a flight for a ticket booked with a GoWild! Pass?

No-shows hurt your fellow travelers by taking seats out of inventory that someone else could otherwise use. If you no longer plan to travel on the itinerary you booked using your GoWild! Pass, be sure to cancel your booking as soon as possible prior to your flight’s scheduled departure time. GoWild! Pass holders who repeatedly book and no-show flights, or who otherwise violate the terms and conditions of the Pass, are subject to financial penalties up to and including the revocation of pass privileges without refund. Then current change or cancel fees and policies are applicable to your itinerary once booked. No Shows are subject to the terms set forth in Frontier’s Contract of Carriage. See the GoWild! Pass Terms & Conditions for more details.

Is this for real? On social media I’m seeing people book cross country and international trips for almost nothing in airfare?

Yes. We love affordable spontaneous travel and that’s why we created the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass. After you fly, share your GoWild! travel experiences with us on social media. Thank you for being a GoWild! Pass holder - we’ll see you onboard again soon!

We apologize, there is currently a known issue with changing GoWild! bookings on the Frontier mobile app. Please disregard any error messages received when attempting to change flights on the mobile app and visit our website FlyFrontier.com to access and change or cancel your booking.

What happens if I’m the GoWild! pass holder who flies the most using the summer or annual pass?

What are the travel periods each pass is eligible for.

All passes are subject to program terms & conditions, including blackout dates as posted. Not all flights and/or dates within the eligible travel period will be available to book.

When will we be charged the automatic renewal fee?

Your confirmation email contains the date on which your pass expires and will auto-renew.

If a flight booked using a GoWild! Pass is canceled by Frontier or otherwise operationally disrupted, what happens? Will I be rebooked?

Air travel on Frontier, including GoWild! Pass travel, is governed by Frontier’s Contract of Carriage and other documents as detailed in the GoWild! Pass Terms and Conditions.

Frontier’s Customer Service Plan provides details on how Frontier handles controllable and uncontrollable situations impacting customer travel.

Can I book international flights using GoWild! Pass?

Yes, international flights can be booked using the GoWild! Pass starting 10 days before flight departure. Passholders are responsible for complying with all international travel and immigration requirements including, but not limited to, providing evidence of confirmed return or onward travel where applicable. Passengers under age 18 traveling without both parents may need additional documentation to travel across international borders, depending on the country's requirements. Frontier does not allow children under the age of 15 years old to travel unaccompanied, see below for more details. Codeshare travel is not available using the GoWild! Pass. Please see below for more details on passholder responsibilities for taxes, fees, and charges applicable at the time of booking.

How much do taxes, fees, and charges cost per flight?

In addition to a fare of $0.01 for each segment booked, government and airport imposed taxes, fees and charges will apply as in effect at the time of booking and are the responsibility of the passholder. An additional carrier interface charge will not apply to GoWild! Pass tickets at the time of booking. Current government and airport taxes, fees and charges start at approximately $14.90 per person, per flight for domestic travel. Current government and airport taxes, fees and charges vary widely for international travel, and can be in excess of $100 per person, per flight.

Can I book a round-trip flight using the GoWild! Pass?

Flights can be booked and confirmed the day before flight departure for domestic travel and starting 10 days before flight departure for international travel. For return travel beyond the window, you will need to search and book the day before the return flight’s departure for domestic travel or starting 10 days before the return flight’s departure for international travel.

Can I use my GoWild! Pass to book connecting flights?

Yes, connecting itineraries may be available, depending on your origin and destination, flight schedules and seat availability. All terms and conditions for GoWild! Pass use also apply to any connecting itineraries, notably that flights can be booked and confirmed the day before flight departure for domestic travel or starting 10 days before flight departure for international travel, and that flights and seats are subject to availability; last seat availability is not guaranteed.

What happens if I need to change or cancel a ticket booked with a GoWild! Pass?

GoWild! Pass flights become available to book and confirm the day before flight departure for domestic travel or starting 10 days before flight departure for international travel; then current change or cancel fees and policies are applicable to your itinerary once booked. If you no longer plan to travel on the itinerary you booked using your GoWild! Pass, be sure to cancel your booking as soon as possible prior to your flight’s scheduled departure time to avoid penalties. No Shows are subject to the terms set forth in Frontier’s Contract of Carriage. GoWild! Pass holders who repeatedly book and no-show flights, or who otherwise violate the terms and conditions of the Pass, are subject to financial penalties up to and including the revocation of pass privileges without refund. See the GoWild! Pass Terms & Conditions for more details

Can I buy a GoWild! Pass for someone under the age of 18?

Yes, subject to the following conditions:

  • You, the purchaser, are 18 years of age or older
  • If you are enrolling a child under 13, you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and agree that you, not the child, are providing the information to Frontier and consent to the child’s participation in the GoWild! Pass, Frontier Miles and to receive promotional emails.
  • You assume all obligations of the pass holder's participation in the GoWild! Pass.

As noted in Frontier’s Contract of Carriage, Frontier does not allow children under the age of 15 years old to travel unaccompanied; they must be accompanied by a passenger who is at least 15 years old. Passengers who are 15 years old or older may travel on Frontier without an adult companion. A birth certificate, official school ID, or other form of ID may be requested for age verification purposes if the child's age appears questionable. Passengers under age 18 traveling without both parents may need additional documentation to travel across international borders, depending on the country's requirements.

Tips on using verizon travelpass (1:00).

Verizon TravelPass Hi there! If you're planning on traveling abroad, we have a few simple tips to help you get the most out of your Verizon phone and your TravelPass. Make sure you enable roaming before you go, so that you can use data and voice services internationally. Go to settings, select cellular, then roaming, and make sure data and voice roaming are turned on. Remember, it may take up to three minutes for your phone to connect to local networks. If you experience service issues, be sure to turn your device off, then back on. This is a simple, yet effective way to reconnect your device to the international network while traveling. Making calls while outside the US will always need the international access code followed by a country code, and then the number you're calling. So on your iPhone, hold down the zero until you see the plus sign appear, enter the country code, then dial the number you want to call. And if you call a contact stored on your phone, double check that you've included the "+" and the country code. For more travel tips from Verizon, follow the link below: www.go.vzw.com/traveltips That's all for now! Enjoy your trip!
