And our birth centers, located throughout Southeast and West Michigan, feature all the amenities you need to have a joyful and memorable experience.

Trinity Health Michigan Birth Center Tours

In-person tours.

By visiting a Trinity Health Birth Center in person prior to delivery, you will have the chance to see our labor and delivery rooms, and the beautiful private room where you will recover and begin to bond with your baby. Birth center schedules vary by location and are subject to change.

Grand Rapids

Tours are offered the 1st and the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. Patients should meet on the 9th floor in the family lounge where a designated staff member will meet you prior to beginning. Each tour will last approximately 1 hour. If the 1st or 3rd Tuesday falls on a holiday then there will not be a tour offered that day.

A few weeks before your baby is due, pack a bag with a few essentials for your baby’s birth. We provide you with what you need during your hospital stay, but you’ll also need:

• Your birth plan
• Your insurance card
• Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes to wear home
• Nursing bra and nursing pads if you plan to breastfeed
• Toiletries, such as shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste
• Car seat — the law requires you to have a properly installed car seat before you leave the hospital with your baby
• Name of your baby’s health care provider

Yes, tours are available! St. Ignatius Hospital has partnered with local volunteers to offer “haunted hospital” tours, as well as photo and historic tours. Dates are limited, so be sure to book ahead! Proceeds benefit the ongoing preservation of St. Ignatius.

CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital Hosting Surgery Open House Next Week

Take a fascinating, behind-the-scenes tour of Central Minnesota’s largest surgery center and gain insight into surgical careers, the latest procedures and advanced technology.

The CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital Surgery Open House will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11. The evening includes a variety of hands-on activities for all ages – bring the entire family.

Tours begin in the Surgery Entrance at CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital. Please park in the South Ramp and take the South Ramp elevator to Floor A.

Saint elizabeths hospital, tour description.

The campus of Saint Elizabeths Hospital is sited pleasantly atop a wooded ridge in the Anacostia Hills. It is a National Historic Landmark whose story and impact on mental health treatment in the United States can be read in the historic buildings and landscapes that cover its 350 acres.

Prior to the 1840s, when Dorothea Lynde Dix first began advocating for better housing conditions for people suffering from mental illness, mental illness treatment and care was at best haphazard and at worst inhumane. Dix brought her message of reform to Washington, convincing Congress in 1852 to provide $100,000 for the purpose of establishing the first federal mental health hospital for armed forces veterans and District of Columbia residents. Originally named the U.S. Government Hospital for the Insane, the mission of the hospital was to provide the most humane care and enlightened curative treatment for patients.

Saint Elizabeths is a living example of how public attitudes and policy shape the built environment and how the built environment can shape public attitudes and policy.

Both the federal government-controlled West Campus and the District of Columbia-controlled East Campus are slated for significant redevelopment over the next decade. The West Campus and a small portion of the East Campus are now the headquarters for the Department of Homeland Security and offices for the US Coast Guard. Part of the East Campus remains in use as a hospital. The remainder of the East Campus will be redeveloped with a mix of public and private uses.

Development is altering portions of the National Historic Landmark campus, but also preserves and adaptively reuses many buildings and landscapes that make Saint Elizabeths an important part of American history.

Please note that the Saint Elizabeths campus is government property and visitors can not walk the grounds. DCPL holds walking tours periodically and you are encouraged to sign up if you'd like to visit the site in person

The musician recently announced her new album, which is set to be released on April 26 via Virgin Music/Fiction Records. ‘All Born Screaming’ will be the follow-up to 2021’s acclaimed ‘Daddy’s Home’.

Now, St. Vincent has revealed a slate of North American tour dates for ‘All Born Screaming’, which will kick off in April this year. Starting in Ventura, California, St. Vincent will make her way through cities such as Vancouver, LA, and New York before finishing in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Spoon , Yves Tumour , Dorian Electra , Momma and Eartheater will also act as support guests throughout the tour.

NME  spoke to St. Vincent about her upcoming record last month, where she spoke to us about collaborating with Dave Grohl on lead single ‘Broken Man’. “From the beginning of the song, it’s a slow-burn,” she said.

“The shape of the song is climbing the mountain, because it just grows and grows. There are essentially three drummers on the track: the first part is my programming, the second part Mark Guiliana comes in, and then at the very end of the track – just when you think it can’t get any higher – Grohl comes in with this absolute reckless spirit and just takes it to the edge.”

We also caught up with her at the BRITs earlier this month, where she spoke of her love for The Last Dinner Party : “I came across them the same way everybody did, by checking out their debut album [‘Prelude To Ecstasy’],” she said, recalling how she first came across the British band.

“I love it, it’s adventurous, it’s romantic and dramatic… they’re doing great.”

St. Vincent Drops New Track ‘Flea,’ Announces ‘All Born Screaming’ Tour

St. Vincent wants y’all screaming on her new tour. On Thursday, the singer released her single “Flea” and announced tour dates to celebrate her upcoming album, All Born Screaming , slated for this summer.

The tour will see St. Vincent stopping by San Francisco, Boise, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Toronto for several shows and festival appearances. She’ll bring a handful of rising stars on the road with her, including Spoon, Yves, Tumor, Eartheater, Dorian Electra, and Momma.

Tickets for St. Vincent’s tour are available via pre-sale on April 3 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale for the general public on April 5 at 10 a.m. local time.

St. Vincent Announces North American Tour in 2024

A lternative pop artist St. Vincent has just announced a North American tour, and it’s slated to start this spring! The “New York” artist will feature a few special guests on the trek as well, including Yves Tumor, Eartheater, Spoon, Momma, and Dorian Electra. The tour will span both US coasts and also hit a couple of cities in Canada as well. The tour will promote St. Vincent’s upcoming album All Born Screaming , which will be released on April 26.

The St. Vincent 2024 Tour will begin on May 22 in Ventura, California at The Majestic Ventura Theater with support from Momma. Unless more dates are added to the All Born Screaming Tour, it should end on September 20 in St. Paul, Minnesota at Palace Theater with support from Dorian Electra.
