Description

Explore the second smallest island in the archipelago, La Gomera, with one of the most important natural parks in the world , Garajonay. We will discover its stunning forests and all its natural beauty, aboard our La Gomera Jeep Safari in 4x4. A unique experience with small groups.

We will start our Jeep Safari tour picking you up at your hotel around 8:00 to transfer to Puerto de los Cristianos and board a ferry to La Gomera.

After having crossed the Atlantic waters for about 50 minutes aboard the ferry, the entourage of our Jeep Safari La Gomera will be waiting for us to take us through the most fascinating places of the island and its beautiful cultural heritage .

We will head north to get to know Hermigua , a small town dedicated to the cultivation of bananas typical of the Canary Islands. Then we will pass by Playa Caleta to admire the landscape and the rocks and mountains that surround it.

We will continue our visit in Agulo and impressive viewpoint, mandatory stop, where we can walk on its vertigo glass floor, taking some spectacular photos. We will be able to head to the center of the island, making some stops as in the visitor center to reach our next destination, La Laguna Grande , a plain without water or vegetation, which enjoys unique climatic conditions on the island.

We will have a good lunch : Vegetables cream, chicken with potatoes and rice, fruit, wine and water. With a short break to regain strength continuing our 4x4 Jeep Safari tour.

We will admire and visit the famous Roque de Agando , an opportunity to take some beautiful photographs that this landscape gives us. Then we will head to San Sebastian where we will know its cultural heritage so present throughout the city.

Once finished we will transfer to the port to board the ferry back to Tenerife, where the transport will wait for us to take us to our hotel.

Best price guarantee

Nattivus guarantees you the best price available at the time of making your reservation. However, if you find a lower price offer in the same currency as the original purchase, for the same dates, conditions and characteristics of the booked activity, we will match the price, refunding you the difference. This reservation must be a minimum of € 20.

For this, it will be necessary to present a complete and final budget as proof, which includes all the concepts of the reservation: date, duration, currency, price, participants, modality, management expenses, etc., issued by another agency legally authorized to operate in Spain, the same day that you have made your reservation with Nattivus, from which any additional discount will be excluded for belonging to a specific group.

To request a refund, send a message to info@nattivus.com with your name and booking number along with a proof of the lower price. Refunds of the price difference will be processed in the same payment method used for the original reservation.

Single payment: The payment of the total amount will be made at the time of booking . Cash payments are not accepted on the day of the visit.

Payment the day of the tour: A first payment of a percentage of the total will be required at the time of booking and the second payment of the remaining amount you will pay at the destination on the day of the activity, in cash or card, as indicated. Please note that only payments in local currency will be accepted (for example in Spain only EUROS will be accepted).

Payment in 2 installments: It will be necessary to pay a first payment of a percentage of the total amount when making the reservation. The second payment of the remaining amount must be made before the day of the activity, on the deadline indicated. In case of reaching this date and the pending amount has not been paid, the reservation will be cancelled and the amount paid initially will be refunded. Please note that this payment method is applied to reservations whose departure date is more than 30 days from the reservation date. For reservations whose departure date is within the following 30 days, 100% of the amount will be charged at the time of booking.

The jeeps allow you to go on some of the smaller roads other vehicles don't, giving you some amazing views, and even more so when they roll the fabric tops back. Lots to see, lots of stops with enough time to enjoy the area you have stopped at. They try to put people who speak the same language in a jeep, however, due to numbers, we had "JuJu" (apologies if spelt wrong) a French speaking stuntman, who after explaining to the French in our group, then did his best to tell us (which was good). We stopped at a collage of stops from touristy to breathtaking views. The driver was excellent and fun driving thru hairpin turns. When we stopped, the driver/lead guide in the first jeep would give us a fun anecdotal story of what we are seeing. These are great people having fun and enjoying what they are doing. The dice gave me Tamaran, who did not disappoint me. The tour in Dutch was done by a guy who left Flanders 40 years ago. He tells something about what you're looking at at each stop. Off course, the small group becomes a small crowd since you drive in a caravan of 4 or 5 jeeps. I noticed that the contents of the stories may vary between one or the other guide. Our guide's name was Frankie, and he was every bit energetic, professional, and fun to be around. The tour lasts for most of the day, and you will see the not-so-tourist part of the island. To me, this is very important, since it provides a sense of balance, history and local culture. We all love Playa Las Americas but the novelty wears off after a while. We ate a great restaurant called Xiomara, complete with a fish, pork, and vegetarian menu. Bottles of wine are part of the meal if you would like a drink, and water is also served. I absolutely loved this tour, which I booked through my TUI Hotel here. I recommend this, since it makes the whole experience that much more easier. The “Jeep Safari – La Gomera” excursion will provide you with many unique experiences! Wondering why? This island belongs to one of the smallest Canary Islands, but is very rich in flora. The pearl of the Garajonay National Park is the largest laurel forest in the world. Tourists choose La Gomera to seek peace and quiet and to encounter true, wild nature. La Gomera also has a rich history. In the late 15th century, Christopher Columbus was one of the island’s visitors. He rested here before embarking on his long journey to India, where he later discovered America. Today, we can still see a reminder of Columbus’ visit in San Sebastian’s capital – his house, known as Casa de Colón.

La Gomera will enchant everyone with its diverse landscapes and magic. To find yourself in the center of a mysterious fairy tale, all you have to do is enter the laurel forest. Whose winding and tangled branches, covered with moss, look like the arms of creatures from fantasy stories. There are also places historically related to love – the Garajonay hill, which inherited its name from the names of unhappy lovers.

Undoubtedly, the island of La Gomera surprises with its unpredictability. As with every step you take, you discover amazing natural phenomena. A interesting fact is that people inhabiting its territory, which is only 370km², use a specific whistling language for communication. The whistling language was invented by shepherds and named “El Silbo,”. With its help shepherds and farmers achieved communication between high hills and deep ravines that made contact very difficult. On our excursion, you will be able to watch a demonstration of communication using the whistling language.
