Excellent quad tour experience

Completely smooth process. The transfer was a bit longer but only because we were the first to be picked up. On site we waited until all quads were ready. They are not the newest quads that are in the best condition, just designed for safaris. The ride started and care was taken to ensure that everyone got along well. A couple of times the gas was pushed hard, which was a lot of fun. All in all a very good and recommendable trip.

One of the highlights of any adrenalin junky’s trip to Kemer is our fantastic Quad safari. Leave the city behind and come and explore our stunning countryside in a manner that will have your heart racing and your excitement levels peaked. The Kemer Quad Safari gets you right into the heart of our countryside, right on the edge of the Taurus mountain range you will enjoy dirt roads, dusty passages and open terrain as you speed through the fields and trees. It’s a dirty experience but heaps of fun. There’s no need to be an expert, these all terrain vehicles are perfect for the beginner and are very safe to operate.

Our driver will come and collect you from your hotel and take you out into the country to our quad station which is about a 20-minute drive. As soon as you arrive our team of quad drivers will be on hand to take you through how to operate the all-terrain vehicles in style. We’ll have a full safety briefing and every driver will be given a comfortable and secure helmet. Do not worry, there is no need to be an expert here. Our vehicles are extremely well kept and easy to operate and your enjoyment and safety is our major priority.

The track itself has been specifically designed to give you the biggest rushes and the fastest speeds. Drive through the mud and dust and swerve your way along the paths and up the mountain side. If you come to a stream or a small river don’t worry, just go straight through it and see who can create the biggest splash. These vehicles allow you to get into areas that larger vehicles can’t touch which makes this an awesome way to explore the countryside.

The whole riding experience takes about 2 hours and is full of twists turns and great fun and excitement. We recommend that you wear old clothes as no matter what the weather is like you will end up dirty, covered in dust and mud but laughing all the way. Vehicles and Safety: Our all-terrain vehicles are always well maintained and looked after. They are extremely user friendly and you do not need to be an expert to enjoy driving them. Upon arrival at the quad station you will be given a full safety demonstration by our professional trainers. Each driver will be equipped with comfortable and secure safety helmets to wear during the safari. Before we leave the station, we will have a quick demonstration and lesson in how best to operate the quads and a practise session to give you some extra confidence. Our guides will also accompany you on the safari in case you need further help with the machines.

Safari Begins: This is where the real fun begins. In total we will spend about 2 hours on our quad safari. The country side is stunning in these parts and the quads allow you to get further into the trees and mountains than other vehicles. Our safari track has been purposefully created to allow for maximum speeds, twists, turns and excitement. Speed up hills and swerve in and out of the trees. Splash through mud puddle and streams as the wind rushes through your hair and you keep the adrenaline turned up to maximum. You’ll be covered in dirt by the end but what a great experience and something you’ll remember for a long time to come. We guarantee that you’ll have great fun racing with your friends and family. Bring a camera along and capture those dirt moments.

Recommendations and Rules: We recommend that you bring old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. It’s also a good idea to bring a bandana or a scarf to cover your nose and mouth from the dust on the trail. You should also wear comfortable, flat shoes. Thongs or flip flops are not good for this experience. Sun cream is advisable as we will be outside the whole time. Children under 17 are not permitted to drive the vehicles alone but can accompany a responsible adult.

We booked it from an on street vendor and honestly wouldn't recommend. It's coach pick up but depending which driver you have dictates the type of drive you have. We had three horses myself and my two children. My son's horse was lame and struggled around the course constantly tripping. The horses looked under fed and generally sorry. The people there where pretty unwelcoming and there is no way of leaving until they take each family into a private booth to push photographs of your "experience" onto you. I asked if there would be music on the boat, explaining that I get headaches that are exacerbated by loud noise, and he looked shocked and said no, it was a boat trip for relaxing. Upon boarding the boat, I checked with the crew, who said there would be music. I should have just got off the boat then, with hindsight. How I wish I had. Instead, I appealed to what I assumed would be their common sense and consideration for guests: I asked them nicely, in Turkish, to keep the volume down as I had a really bad headache. They ignored me completely and turned the music up (very loud rap/dance music that fought its way past my heavy-duty earplugs) as we left the first swim stop. To give an idea of the volume, another boat was playing music at a similar volume and I could clearly make out the beat and lyrics when it was 200 yards away. At one point, I walked down the gangplank at the back of the boat simply to try to get as far away as possible from the noise. The young lad in the crew told me to come back as it was dangerous. I said I would come back if he turned the volume down (I did not say 'off', just 'down', which is reasonable). He did not, which made it very clear that passenger safety and comfort is a very, very low priority. The music continued throughout the rest of the trip, although, when my husband asked them to turn it down, they turned it down very (very) slightly. Their reason was 'people like it'. Yes, some people do - and some people don't, and in any case, there is no need for rave-level volume. It completely ruined the day, and I suspect the elderly couple and the couples onboard with very young children and a baby were none too happy, either. The only time the music was off was when the young lad - who had professed an interest in dance music when talking to my husband - was busy taking photos of the passengers, which leads me to suspect that actually, the music was for his benefit and not the passengers'. On another note, the second swimming area was extremely crowded with at least 10 boats all anchored in a line and clouds of diesel fumes. Don't be fooled by the name 'Turkish Maldives' either; I suspect the actual Maldives would be quite upset by the analogy. When we complained about the noise at the Kemer Tours office in Beldibi, the agent just shrugged. Obviously, he had his money from us and did not care in the least. The only reason I have given this 2 stars and not 1 is that, prior to the thoroughly unpleasant boat trip, we booked the jeep safari and trip to Pamukkale, Hierapolis and Cleopatra's Pool with the same company and these two trips were very enjoyable. They have been really good and in fact we have another trip booked with them. However, they just do the booking. Everything else is run by the tour you are going on. So, for Marmaris Horse Safari. Firstly, it's difficult to tell which company is which on here as several are called the same thing. I have posted photos hopefully to help others in future. We went as a family of four. My kids have not ridden horses for longer than two minutes so this was more for them than us. Not that we're horse people! As people have already said, this is advertised as four hours but you actually only ride for an hour. Its 20ish mins to the ranch, half hour hanging around with a very short safety briefing and then an hour ride. Then a long and arduous sales pitch about photos and the journey home. Disappointingly, we didn't ride together as a family and they didn't take photos of us as a family on the horses. Cynically this is maybe to push you to buy more photos if you only have individual shots? In terms of the actual ride, it lasts an hour, but the majority is along a dusty road. Quite disappointing. I'm not an experienced rider and don't want anything that challenging, but this was very serene and the scenery wasn't much to look at. My kids loved it, but we won't come back. I suspect that the other Horse Safaris out there offer something far better. The only thing I would say is that through Mares travel, the trip only cost £12 per person. I think any more and its not worth it. Just for reference, we did buy the photos and we got them at 1000 Lira for all photos downloaded to our phone. They tried it on woth another family and tried to charge them more for less photos. Another French group didn't buy the photos, but due to a mix up, the ranch put all photos onto my phone. Fortunately the French group were on our bus, so I just sent them their photos for free!! To clarify, you cant takr.your own camera or phone to get pictures. They ensure you lock all your bag, etc, away before leaving the ranch. There is another Safari on TripAdvisor that has a very similar name and 30 reviews and all good. There are a few slides, all short and after doing them a couple of times the kids were bored. There are a group of fast slides to the right- everyone was coming off hurt. The plastic panels were not lined up so when you went over them you’d catch yourself. We didn’t even want to go on them. Over to the tiny wave pool and after sitting in a rubber ring for half an hour waiting I asked the lifeguard who said they don’t come on until 12.
