It was a good tour. The only problem was no air conditioning in the hotel in France. We couldn’t fall asleep at night because it was too hot in the room. Three of us in the room with a small Fan. That did not help at all.

Very well organized. Very knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to make this a truly memorable experience. I especially liked his readings of "The Little Prince" on some of the longer bus rides. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs or sit out some of the more challenging sites. The hotels were all good to excellent and food was delicious.

This was a fantastic trip! The knowledge and passion my Travel Director Elizabeth had was amazing. The accommodation was incredible you walked outside and were in the centre of town. In Brittany I had a view of the sea. I never felt rushed and enough free time.

What people love about Paris Tours

It was a really good experience. This is my second trip with Eskapas. The first one was a small group tour fully escorted in Italy and it was wonderful. This trip is independent and you are joining at the meeting point to daily group ours. If you have send of orientation, it may be difficult so I recommend yo to take a taxi to reach out to the meeting points. Usually it costs 15-20Euro. The company upgraded our hotel to New Hotel Le Voltaire 4* ,, located in 11th Arrondissement, close to Bastille. It is a correct one, decent breakfast. Don't miss Cimetiere du Pere-Lachaise which is close proximity.

Loved the location and the staff were great. The little balcony was cute and the street was quiet.

It was roomy with a great location near the Eiffel Tower. The rooms were clean and had a French feel.

Perfect location! right in the middle of everything and walking distance to Eiffel Tower. The 16th district is a high end section of the city with lots of shopping and restaurants. The hotel offered a nice breakfast and rooms were very clean! the beds were super super comfy, probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in with such crisp and clean sheets! Staff was so helpful and let us leave our bags until the room was ready. Not a very big hotel but it was very nice stay in the family room.

London St Pancras International - St Pancras is centrally located and a 5-minute walk from Kings Cross Underground Station, which is serviced by the Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Victoria and Northern Lines.

• Please arrive at Eurostar departure for check-in 6:00 am Monday-Friday (5:30 am on Saturday) at St. Pancras International Station.

You begin your Parisian adventure at London St Pancras International station where you will board the Eurostar. In a little over two hours, you will arrive at Paris Gare du Nord Station, where our guide and our superior small group vehicle will be waiting for you.

If you choose to travel in Standard Premier class , enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast onboard the Eurostar.

Bienvenue à Paris! Enjoy a Tour of Paris's monument-lined boulevards and manicured avenues as we head towards our first stop, the iconic Eiffel Tower . Here you'll have time to take plenty of photos to show everyone back home.

Enjoy a scenic cruise along the River Seine and take in the beautiful views on offer along the Parisian waterfront. As you meander along the river, you'll pass under some of Paris' most famous bridges, including the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris, built in the 16th century.

After the cruise, you'll have time to explore the local area and enjoy a spot of lunch. Relax and refuel at a traditional Parisian café , watching things happening and people go by.

Enjoy free entry to Sacré-Cœur Basilica , the stunning chalky white church located atop Montmarte Hill overlooking the city of Paris. Take in the incredible panoramic views of the city or head inside to admire the stunning gold leaf mosaics, including the 475 square metre 'Christ in Glory' - one of the largest mosaics in the world.

After a busy day of exploration, it's time to kick back and relax as you board the Eurostar and head back to London.

London St Pancras International Station St Pancras is centrally located and a 5-minute walk from Kings Cross Underground Station, which is serviced by the Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Victoria and Northern Lines and is in Zone 1.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Return journey (Monday-Saturday): Check in at Paris Gare Du Nord at 7:00 pm. Eurostar departs at 8:13 pm, arriving at St. Pancras International at 9:39 pm
• Your train tickets and tour information will be sent to you one week prior to your scheduled departure date via email.
• Please note that Paris Tours will not operate from 1st July - 15th September due to the Olympic Games
• Please ensure that you have a valid passport and visa for travel between the UK and France
• Entry to the Eiffel Tower is not included
• Seating requests on Eurostar cannot be guaranteed
• Train times are approximate and subject to operational variations
• Children under 4 years travelling free of charge are not provided with a seat on the Eurostar or coach (maximum one child under 4 per travelling adult)
• Those who wish to visit the Basilica at Sacré-Cœur can choose to take the funicular (not included in the price of the tour) to avoid climbing the steps to the top
• To maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, Eurostar have some limits around the amount of alcohol you can bring on board for consumption: 4 bottles/cans of beer or 1 bottle of wine per person

Paris Tour from London For The Independent Traveller

Our Paris day tour from London for the Independent Traveller with a Paris Travel Card is the perfect way to explore Paris on your own with the opportunity to take advantage of low-price day tour Eurostar tickets. This gives you the freedom to explore Paris independently.

The comfortable highspeed Eurostar Train travels between Central London and Central Paris in just 2 hours and 15 minutes.

In addition to visiting the iconic sites of Paris, such as The Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, you can choose to see places that especially interest you. These could include the Sorbonne neighborhood to explore the streets where Emily in Paris was filmed or to the trendy Canal Saint Martin neighborhood or a quiet museum such as the Picasso Museum. Paris is not a large city making it very easy to see a lot in one day.

We have included below some further ideas.

And, of course, you will have plenty of time to stop for coffee and a meal as and when you want.

The basic package includes a Paris Travel Card, and you can upgrade to a River Cruise and/or a Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus tour on the booking page.

River Seine Cruise

TravelCard (if selected).

With the 1 day Travelcard, you have access to all public transport: metro, RER, bus, tram, and Montmartre funicular in zones1-3 of Paris, covering all of Central Paris. Paris public transport is very efficient and is a fast way to get around the city.

Open Top Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus tour (if selected).

You can hop on and hop off at any one of ten stops covering a circular route through central Paris. The stops are conveniently located close to many of the most famous sites, including the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame.

River Cruise (if selected):

Admire the world’s most romantic city as you cruise along the River Seine. The cruise lasts for one hour and passes many of the highlights of Paris, including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. From the river enjoy a very feel for this stunningly beautiful city..

The river cruise departs from the foot of the Eiffel Tower on the riverside ” Port de Suffren “, very close to bus stop #9.

What to do in Paris:

Place des Vosges in the Marais District

Paris is known for its famous sightseeing attractions and excellent shopping. The Champs Elysées is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world, filled with global shopping brands. Other ideas include visiting the Louvre Museum, taking a walk in the Jardin des Tuileries or seeing the Place de la Concorde. Whatever you decide, there’s no shortage of great places to visit.

Monday to Friday 

• 5.30am: Meet your travel representative at Paul Express coffee shop, St Pancras Station
• 7.01am: Eurostar train departs for Paris from London, with a journey time of 2hr 16m. There is a 1-hour time difference between London and Paris, so you will arrive at 10.17am
• 10.16am: Arrive in Paris, Gare Du Nord train station
• 8.13pm: Depart Paris Gare du Nord train station. (Please arrive at least 45mins before departure time.)
• 9.30pm: Arrive back at London St Pancras train station
• 6.25am: Meet your travel representative at Paul Express coffee shop, St Pancras station
• 7.55am or 8.01am: Eurostar train departs for Paris from London, with a journey time of 2hr 16m. There is a 1-hour time difference between London and Paris, so you will arrive at 11.17am
• 11.17am: Arrive in Paris Gare du Nord train station
• 8.13pm: Depart Paris Gare du Nord train station. {Please arrive at least 45mins before departure time.)
• Our tour of Paris includes return Eurostar train tickets
• You can choose to include a bus tour, river cruise
• Audio guide available in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German on the bus
• The tour does not include any food or drink
• Our Paris from London tour is non-refundable

• Reserved seats on the train
• You are required to carry a valid passport with you, which will be validated at the check-in desk in St Pancras.

Louvre Museum*

Visi the museum that is home to the most famous painting of all time – The Mona Lisa. The Louvre is the most visited museum in the world that is home to an incredible collection of artwork.

*The Louvre does not open on Tuesdays. You will visit Musee d’Orsay instead.

Upgrade to Standard Premier Eurostar 

Choose to upgrade your Eurostar train tickets to Standard Premier. Standard Premier tickets include a light meal served at your seat, spacious seats and a generous luggage allowance of 2 bags around 85cm long and one small piece of hand luggage. You will also receive complimentary magazines and charging points for your phone or tablet.

In the early evening, we head back to Gare du Nord for our return journey to London.

We will take you on a wonderful day trip that you will never forget, to the most romantic city of Paris. Your adventure begins as you board the high speed Eurostar train at London St Pancras International.

Your relaxing train journey takes you through the Garden of England under the English Channel and through the north of France – right into the centre of Paris where you will be met by your friendly, enthusiastic expert Paris Tour Guide.

From the moment you arrive in Paris, you will be beguiled by the richness of its history and its architectural beauty. Sit back in a luxury, private car and enjoy as you are guided through this incredible city. From the world-famous Eiffel Tower to the lesser known quarters of Paris every moment is a joy. The beauty of Paris cannot be understated and there is a surprise almost on every corner of this city.

See the stunning Notre Dame cathedral, ravaged by fire, but still standing as an overwhelmingly majestic sight. Close by is the Latin Quarter, a wonderful area of charming narrow streets where tourists mingle with the students from the Sorbonne University.

Stop for a coffee, the Parisian way, in the café which was known as a hotspot for famous philosophers, artists and writers too - sit where Sartre, Picasso, Hemingway and Joyce to name but a few used to sit.

The Louvre Museum built originally as a palace is mesmerising and you can choose to visit inside - it does after all hold the world’s most famous painting, the Mona Lisa.

Drive along one of the world’s most famous avenues, the Champs Elysees, dominated at the top by the incredible Arc Du Triomphe, built to celebrate the victories of Napoleon. Admire the symmetry and beauty of the elegant streets of the most opulent quarter of Paris, with fabulous boutiques, luxury hotels and stunning mansion buildings.

Stop for a delicious lunch in one of the many wonderful brasseries which your guide will recommend depending on your location at lunchtime.

Continue after lunch to the charming 18th Century Place Vendome, with its beautiful mansion houses - one which was home to Coco Chanel - jewelers and the Ritz hotel, still remembered as the place Princess Diana left from on that fateful night.

See the breath-taking 19th Century Opera House possibly the most stunning building of its time in Paris and the inspiration for Leroux’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’, now a world-famous musical.

On to the area of Montmartre, on top of one of Paris’s seven hills. The spectacular Sacre Coeur church looms over the pretty little squares and narrow streets of Paris’s artist quarter. Take a leisurely walk with your guide exploring this wonderful neighbourhood soaking up its bohemian ambience. The main square bustles with artists painting away, charming cafes and restaurants, windmills, and even a vineyard - this area has retained its charm of years gone by.

It is easy to find a peaceful little spot here with an incredible view overlooking all of Paris - the perfect way to end your Parisian adventure before returning to the Eurostar for a relaxing journey back to London.

Tennis - Monte-Carlo 2024 | Gaël Monfils, 37 ans et toujours au plus haut niveau : « Je ressens du plaisir à être sur le court »

Ce dimanche 7 avril débute le premier tournoi de tennis sur terre battue de la saison, à Monte-Carlo . Les meilleurs tennismen de la planète s’y retrouvent notamment pour se jauger sur cette surface en amont des Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 , qui se dérouleront au stade Roland-Garros du samedi 27 juillet au dimanche 4 août prochain.

Parmi eux, un ancien membre du Top 10 français, qui a atteint la finale du tournoi monégasque en 2016 : Gaël Monfils .

Cette année, l’actuel 45e joueur mondial sera opposé à l'Australien Jordan Thomspon (33e joueur mondial) au premier tour. Un joueur qu'il a battu au deuxième tour de l'ATP 1000 de Miami, fin mars.

Fidèle à son jeu sensationnel et de retour au haut niveau après un huitième de finale à Indian Wells (ATP 1000), Gaël Monfils s’est exprimé au micro d’ Olympics.com en fin de tournée américaine.

Il s’est confié sur son état de forme, la motivation qui l’anime et son rêve de Jeux Olympiques.

Le joueur le plus âgé du Top 50…

À 37 ans, Gaël Monfils est actuellement le plus vieux joueur à figurer dans le Top 50 mondial , qu'il a réintégré le 18 mars dernier. Un défi à la hauteur de l’athlète et qu’il se plait à relever. Pour lui, il n’est toujours pas question de ranger la raquette.

« Tout le monde autour de moi me répète que je suis toujours jeune, que je peux continuer alors honnêtement, j’ai envie de les croire », a-t-il expliqué à Miami.

Et il a certainement raison. Pour La Monf’ , ce n’est pas une question d’âge, mais de forme : « Quand je bouge sur le court, j’ai l’impression d’être encore assez rapide, alors pourquoi ne pas continuer à jouer ? Pourquoi ne pas persévérer dans les grands tournois et les gros rendez-vous ? », a-t-il déclaré.

Mais il est vrai qu'avec près de 20 ans sur le circuit , il veut désormais être capable de choisir ses matchs.

« Doucement, je voudrais améliorer mon classement, comme ça je pourrais redevenir tête de série. Ça voudra dire jouer moins de matchs, moins de grosses rencontres aussi », détaille-t-il.

Un objectif clair, logique aussi, pour celui qui n’a pas toujours été épargné par les blessures.

« Ces derniers mois, mon corps me laisse tranquille et j’ai vraiment l’impression de pouvoir progresser. J’essaie vraiment d’être au meilleur de ma forme, et tant que l’énergie est toujours là et que je ressens toujours du plaisir à être sur le court, j’en profite un maximum », a-t-il également déclaré.

…et aussi le plus spectaculaire !

Parce que Gaël Monfils n’est pas seulement un joueur talentueux et attachant. Il est également extrêmement divertissant !

En 2023, il a remporté l’ATP 250 suédois, mais il s’est aussi - et surtout - illustré par ses retours sortis de nulle part, ses coups venus d’un autre monde et sa classe, à toute épreuve.

À la question de savoir si ce style de jeu particulier est travaillé, il répond : « J’aimerai dire que oui ! Dans ces moments-là, vous ne savez jamais comment ça va se passer. Mais c’est plutôt naturel, je me sens plus à l’aise quand je saute ou quand je glisse », explique-t-il.

Un talent inné, donc.

Quant aux Jeux Olympiques, c’est un rêve.

« J’espère me qualifier. C’est à ça que je pense d’abord, ça a toujours été un but et je travaille pour ça. Ça fait 100 ans que nous n’avons pas eu les JO, alors ce sera forcément spécial pour les Français et si j’ai la chance de pouvoir y participer, je serai au rendez-vous ! »

Zaïre-Emery, Ethan Mbappé, Mayulu, Gadou… Quel avenir pour les jeunes du PSG?

Il pourrait ne plus y avoir de Mbappé au PSG dans quelques mois. Car tandis que Kylian Mbappé a annoncé à sa direction qu’il quitterait le club en juin prochain comme annoncé par RMC Sport mi-février , à la fin de son contrat, son frère Ethan pourrait partir lui aussi même si rien n'est acté. Apparu à plusieurs reprises dans le groupe de Luis Enrique – pour une très courte apparition en Ligue 1 et deux en Coupe de France – le cadet du champion du monde 2018 n'avait plus été convoqué pour un match de l’équipe première depuis la révélation de la décision de son frère. Ce samedi il fait son retour dans le groupe dirigé par Luis Enrique.

Le club a changé sa position le concernant après l'annonce de son frère Kylian Mbappé. Paris n'est plus tellement motivé à l'idée d'étendre son bail (il est pour l'instant sous contrat aspirant jusqu'en juin) et Nasser Al-Khelaïfi a gelé les discussions. Cependant certaines voix en interne expliquent qu'il y a toujours des chances de le voir porter le maillot parisien la saison prochaine.

La position de Luis Enrique est difficilement lisible. Après la première d' Ethan Mbappé en Ligue 1 en décembre, le technicien saluait un "joueur très intéressant qui a beaucoup de personnalité et peut jouer à beaucoup de postes". En coulisses, l'Espagnol se montre dithyrambique le concernant... mais le joueur ne côtoie pratiquement plus le groupe professionnel depuis l'annonce de son aîné à la direction. Ce samedi face à Clermont, Luis Enrique a convoqué celui qui a fêté ses 17 ans en décembre dernier. Concours de circonstances (absents préservés pour la Ligue des Champions) ou volonté de l'ancien sélectionneur de la Roja de montrer qu'il compte aussi sur lui pour la suite? L'avenir nous le dira.

Très attaché au club en tant que titi parisien, Ethan Mbappé, lui, aimerait poursuivre au PSG. Le jeune milieu de terrain a des prétendants, en Ligue 1 comme à l'étranger, notamment en Allemagne ou en Espagne. Pourrait-il suivre son frère s'il signe au Real Madrid? Ce n'est pas la tendance aujourd'hui. Le milieu aspire à suivre son propre chemin. Apprécié de tous en interne, Ethan Mbappé est d'ailleurs considéré comme un joueur à fort potentiel. Et Zoumana Camara, entraîneur des U19 parisiens, ne tarit pas d'éloges sur son état d'esprit.

Zaïre-Emery n'a toujours pas prolongé

Paris gère sa jeunesse. Et le dossier le plus brûlant sur la table des dirigeants concerne Warren Zaïre-Emery . Devenu un indispensable du milieu de terrain de Luis Enrique, désormais international français et postulant pour une place à l’Euro en juin prochain, le prodige de 18 ans n’a toujours pas signé de nouveau bail au PSG. Comme indiqué début mars par RMC Sport à l’aube de son anniversaire, les discussions sont avancées entre le club et le joueur. Mais pour l’instant, rien n’est acté pour celui qui va se rapprocher de sa dernière année de contrat (qui court jusqu’en juin 2025). Même si l’heure est toujours à l’optimisme du côté de la direction parisienne. Alors que la presse étrangère parle d'un accord verbal il n'y a, selon nos informations, aucun accord définitif entre les deux parties.

Dortmund à fond sur Mayulu, avec un œil sur Gadou

Deux autres titis parisiens sont très surveillés. Joane Gadou , 17 ans, est perçu comme un défenseur de talent et d’avenir en interne, souvent cité comme l’un des plus grands espoirs de la génération 2007. Luis Enrique, souvent confronté à des pépins dans le secteur défensif cette saison (notamment avec l’absence de Presnel Kimpembe ou les blessures de Milan Skriniar et Marquinhos), ne l’a pas encore lancé dans le grand bain. Mais le joueur est suivi et intéresse notamment Dortmund.

Le Borussia qui est encore plus à fond concernant un autre talent parisien: Senny Mayulu . Il a une proposition de contrat du club allemand dans les mains. Paris a aussi formulé une offre qui témoigne de l'envie du club de la capitale de conserver le joueur apprécié notamment par Luis Campos. Le milieu de terrain de 17 ans, qui compte trois apparitions avec les A (deux en Coupe de France, une en Ligue 1) et des convocations de plus en plus régulières dans le groupe de la part de Luis Enrique, est le titi qui semble le plus proche d’une installation plus durable au sein de l’équipe première. Dortmund, quatrième de Bundesliga et en quête de renouveau dans l’entrejeu, a jeté son dévolu sur lui.

Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx) a remporté son premier Paris-Roubaix femmes ce samedi, au sprint.

La Belge Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx) a remporté son premier Paris-Roubaix femmes samedi en s'imposant à l'issue d'un sprint en petit comité, au vélodrome de Roubaix.

La championne du monde, qui rêvait de cette course depuis toujours, a devancé d'un souffle l'Italienne Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) et la Britannique Pfeiffer Georgi (DSM). Kopecky figurait dans un groupe de six coureuses, dont trois Néerlandaises (Marianne Vos, Ellen van Dijk et Amber Kraak), à l'entrée du vélodrome.

D'abord enfermée, la Belge, qui est aussi multiple championne du monde sur la piste, a réussi à remonter tout le monde par l'extérieur pour remporter l'une des plus belles victoires de sa carrière.

Outre son titre mondial sur route déroché l'an dernier à Glasgow, la Flamande de 28 ans a déjà gagné plusieurs fois le Tour des Flandres et les Strade Bianche et avait fini deuxième du dernier Tour de France. Mais elle rêvait d'accrocher enfin à son palmarès la Reine des classiques qui lui avait toujours échappée ces dernières années, parfois par malchance. La première Française, Victoire Berteau, finit huitième, juste devant Marie Le Net, à 28 secondes toutes les deux.

Quel sexisme ! Mais pourquoi ne sont-elles pas dans les mêmes compétitions que les hommes, à égalité comme elles l'exigent ? Sans quota ni avantage ni allègement, juste à égalité, que ça ne soit pas juste à sens unique et quand ça les arrange, et qu'elles deviennent enfin crédibles.
