I attended the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Cologne, Germany (21st May 2017). I bought the VIP package with meet and greet.

I came for one and a half hour earlier to the venue and there was already a long line. It was really amazing to talk with the other fans. We also sang Sabrina songs together to make the waiting more fun. All in all the waiting itself was a good experience :-)

We had to build a line for the meet and greet . Sabrina is the most beautiful, humble and talented person I know. She was really sweet and it was great to talk to her. We made some selfies and a professional photo, which I could download a couple days after the concert.

One of the best experiences was to hear her acoustic performance of 3 songs. It was in separate area. She has such a powerful voice - it was incredible. She interacted with the audience and she was also very impressed how good we knew the lyrics of her songs and how loud we sang together with her.

After that I somehow managed to get right in front of the stage. After all VIPs had find their spot people with "normal" concert tickets were allowed to come in. The show started with a supporting act. He sang for about half an hour.

Sabrina sang for about one and a half hour. I love how she interacted with the crowd and how she made us feel to be part of the concert. She also tried to talk to us in German :-). It was the best concert I ever attended. I really hope she comes back soon. If you have the opportunity to see Sabrina live - just do it, you won't regret.

The only negative thing was that some parents stand right in front of the stage too so that people especially small children had really problems to see anything. I didn't have these problems (because I was front row) but I know some had really problems to see the performance. Maybe this can be organized better for futur concerts. Other parents just enjoyed the concert in back. I think the parents in the front row should have done this too.

The show was top notch. Sabrina is a phenomenal talent and she truly loves what she's doing. The crowd sang every song with her. The only issue had nothing to do with her but with some of the adults there. They basically refused to allow some of her young fans to be able to stand close to their idol and enjoy the show properly. Several young girls were forced from the front by these adults to the back in tears. This is not only extremely sad but completely uncalled for. These adults (like myself) were there to enjoy the show (yes Sabrina has fans of all ages, young and old alike, deal with it). There's nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy the show. There is, however, everything wrong with treating her young fans like crap and acting like a bunch of entitled, spoiled brats! To those so-called adults (and you know who you are) GROW UP!!!! Fortunately, I was able to help out a couple of the girls with finding a fairly decent viewing point so they could enjoy the show anyhow. Sabrina is a class act on every level. Those adults could learn a thing or two from her. Well done Sabrina. Congratulations on your first tour and all your success. You've earned and deserve every single bit of it. For me it was money well spent.

The concert itself was fantastic.

New Hope and Alex Aiono were very good and Sabrina is a solid entertainer for such a young individual.

Her shows are always packed with energy and her outfits are great.

The wait before was horrendous!!

The venue was not only chaotic, no one knew what was happening.

VIPS for Sabrina were in Alex Aiono's line and vice versa, and regular ticket holders were told to stand behind the VIPs.

I was upset about this as well, because I never received any notification that meet and greets were available. I purchased tickets almost immediately after they went on sale, and the meet/greets were not even offered!

Anyhow, after being pushed around to 3 different lines (from 3:30PM to 6:30PM), being that no one knew exactly where the lines were, the show was late.

Standing in the 90 degree humid weather, near the tour buses that were emitting more heat and exhaust, it was pretty unbearable.

Doors were supposed to open at 6 for seating, but that was delayed by at least a half hour with the simple explanation of Sabrina was being especially "chatty" with the VIPs and she created the delay.

The delay and wait prior to the concert was uncomfortable and not necessary.

Omg it was the most amazing concert I've ever been to!! I totally would recommend a Sabrina Carpenter concert for people of all ages and even for people who don't know her! My mom drove me to Darien lake and almost fainted just so I can see her in concert! I love Sabrina so much she's my idol and I look up to her a lot!! My favorite part of her concert was that she involves the crowd into her concert and in parts of her songs. She interacts with the crowd and just has a great time up on stage dancing and moving around, she looks so natural up on stage and that's only one thing that she's great at and one reason why I love her!! The crowd goes crazy for her and they love her and she's loves all of her fans back! I wish I got a vip meet and greet pass to meet my idol and make my dream come true but I got the preferred seating and I had the best time of my life. Just being there made me feel so happy and to eventually watch her grow and mature in her voice is something that I'm really excited for on top of her many albums to come! I'm will definitely go and see her again!! LOVE YOU SABRINA!!

The concert was absolutely stunning and amazing! She kept us engaged during the concert by letting us sing certain parts of the songs and got us hyped up when she asked us to get off our seats to jump with the music!! Sabrina even made us work out with her by shaking our limbs progressively faster in the middle of the concert. Most importantly, her vocals were absolutely melodic and exactly like what I heard on YouTube, just simply raw talent!

The audience was also very good as no one was really pushing one another to get to the front etc. and everyone was just singing and cheering along to your lovely music!

Once again, thank you for coming to Singapore to perform and I really appreciate it! I hope that you can fulfil your promise of coming here again, especially when you release Singular Act 2!

p.s. Please release it soon, I'm dying to hear the rest of the album ever since you released Pushing 20 and unofficially Exhale.

I loved the concert last night! It was my first real concert and I loved it! Sabrina Carpenter is my favorite artist/singer and when I found out that she was coming to town I immediately asked my parents to go. I loved to choice of songs and the videos that played in the background; my dad especially loved the coordination of the videos. However, I wish some more songs from the "Eyes Wide Open" album, but still loved the songs. The two outfits were fabulous and awesome! I loved the lighting, too. I have listened to Sabrina Carpenter's music since "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying" came out. I watched Disney channel mainly because "Girl Meets World" was on the channel. My favorite song of Sabrina Carpenter is "Eyes Wide Open," it has always been my favorite song ever and always will be. I know every lyric to almost all of her songs and I love her music. It was a great experience to watch her and her band in concert.

This was one of the best shows I’ve attended. Maggie Lindemann, the opening act, sounded very good and got me hyped for the show. Sabrina came out with amazing energy, dancing and singing her heart out the entire show. She sounded phenomenal, and I was extremely excited. The highlight of the night was when I held up my sign and Sabrina read it out loud before Prfct, which is awesome especially because the sign read “Sabrina, ur Prfct to me, we love you”. That meant so much to me that she read it. Overall, this show was infinity stars/5 and I can’t wait for her to come back.

The venue was GREAT! Very personable and enough space to where we didn't feel over crowded!

My daughter Abby had the time of her life! Sabrina mentioned her poster since this was her bday present! She has been BEAMING ever since last night! The band that opened was great too! Interacting with their fans with pictures! Abby will also remember that forever! She said citizen four will be bigger than One Directon! Love the enthusiasm of a soon to be 14 year old! Haha

Thank you for asking for a review!

Sabrina's concert was so amazing! I was right next to the stage and it wasn't too loud. The sound, lights, FX, and the entire experience was amazing. She made sure that her fans knew she cared and appreciated us. Sabrina has amazing stage present and is so humble and kind in person. It was a huge relief knowing that it was live. Sabrina is truly a gifted individual and I will be attending another one of her concerts in the future.

Who is Sabrina Carpenter, the Pennsylvania-native pop star opening for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour?

The 'feather' singer, who also starred in disney channel's 'girl meets world' reboot series, will travel with swift to argentina, brazil, australia and singapore.

Franki Rudnesky

As the record-breaking Eras Tour continues into its next international leg this week, Taylor Swift will be joined by a fellow Pennsylvania-native pop star.

Starting Thursday, Sabrina Carpenter — a singer and former Disney Channel actress who was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs — will perform ahead of Swift's concerts in Argentina, Brazil, Australia and Singapore. Carpenter, 24, previously opened for the Eras Tour in Mexico in August.

MORE:   Two decades after leaving Philly, director Jennifer Cram reflects on the path to her first film, 'Sick Girl'

Carpenter was born in Quakertown , Bucks County and grew up in East Greenville, Montgomery County, where she was homeschooled. Despite moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment at age 13, she has said that her hometown influenced her taste buds  —  she told  the  Burlington County Times that  Wawa was what she missed most about the East Coast while living in California  —  as well as her creative endeavors.

"Every choice you make influences who you are and my upbringing always shows up in my music," Carpenter told Lehigh Valley Live in 2015.

Carpenter signed her first record deal at 14 and released her first EP the same year. She has released five albums since then.

Along with her music career, Carpenter also is an actress whose first major role came over a decade ago in "Law and Order: SVU."  She went on to appear in films like "Adventures in Babysitting," "The Hate U Give" and "Tall Girl," but  her most well-known role was in the Disney Channel series "Girl Meets World" — a reboot of '90s sitcom "Boy Meets World" — which ran from 2014 to 2017.

In 2021, Carpenter found herself  at the center of a pop culture scandal through her rumored love triangle with "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" stars Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo. Fans speculated that Bassett began dating Carpenter after his romance with Rodrigo ended. The gossip mill only grew stronger after Rodrigo's hit single "Drivers License" seemed to allude to the situation, and both Bassett and Carpenter also released suggestive songs of their own.

For her part, Carpenter sang about her experiences as a young woman navigating today's tricky dating pool on last year's album "Emails I Can't Send," which has garnered explosive success with tracks like "Nonsense" and " Feather ."  She is releasing a holiday EP, " Fruitcake ," on Friday, Nov. 17.

While Carpenter's recent success has thrust her onto the Eras Tour stage, her connection with West Reading-native Swift actually runs deep.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sabrina Carpenter (@sabrinacarpenter)

Carpenter's Swiftie status can be traced all the way back to 2009 when she covered "Picture to Burn" off Swift's debut album and posted it to YouTube . A clip from the throwback video played ahead of Carpenter's set when she opened for Swift in Mexico.

In 2010, Carpenter posted on X (formerly Twitter) about attending Swift's concert and how it inspired her to dream of having her own tour one day.  She pointed out the foreshadowing by  re-sharing  her post in June when it was announced she'd be opening for the Eras Tour.

Carpenter and Swift have  been friends  through the years, sending each other gifts and sharing kind words about each other publicly . They've also been spotted hanging out at awards shows, parties and a Kansas City Chiefs game to support Swift's rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce.

In May, Carpenter attended the Eras Tour in Philly as a fan. She was spotted in the VIP tent during one of Swift's shows at Lincoln Financial Field. She also recently covered Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Carpenter is scheduled to be with the Eras Tour through March 9. From there, Swift's tour continues to Europe and Canada with openers Paramore and Gracie Abrams, respectively.

“Watching (Swift) is a masterclass in itself,” Carpenter told  Rolling Stone  of joining the Eras Tour. “I feel a lot more comfortable that I’m going into a situation with someone that I admire so much.”

Carpenter last released music in November 2023, dropping a six-track holiday EP titled Fruitcake . Before that came the deluxe edition of her 2022 album Emails I Can't Send , which recently led the singer to her first top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Feather" peaking at No. 26 last month.

The Work It star is also fresh off her stint as an opener on Taylor Swift's global Eras Tour, which she joined for the trek's legs in Latin America, Asia and Australia. "It almost feels like a Broadway show because everything is so synchronized, but at the same time feels so in the moment," she said of the show in a recent interview . "I feel so lucky that I get to watch Taylor perform every time. It makes me want to tour the world again, which is a good feeling."

The UK and European dates will follow a 35-date run across the US and Canada, which will begin in March. Both tours come hot on the heels of the star’s viral hit “Nonsense,” which has now racked up over 100 million streams and continues to climb Spotify’s global charts plus the singles charts in the UK and the US.

A fan-favorite from her newest album emails i can’t send , “Nonsense” is a playful earworm that chronicles all the nervous, exciting, and nonsensical feelings that come with a new relationship. The album, meanwhile, chronicles Carpenter’s various transformations through ultra-personal songwriting as well as passionate, palpable, and powerful performances.

In its first week,  emails i can’t send  amassed over 15 million streams and garnered critical acclaim from  Rolling Stone ,  People ,  Billboard ,  USA Today , and many more. The album debuted at No.23 in the Top 25 Billboard 200, marking her best career chart debut to date.

Sabrina Carpenter Shares Her Affordable Glam Routine to Open ‘Eras Tour’

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Sabrina Carpenter shared her concert makeup routine — and it’s totally achievable.

Carpenter, 24, posted a “Get Ready With Me” video via TikTok on Sunday, November 12, before opening for Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Carpenter started the video with her face already prepped with foundation and her brows perfectly filled-in. She then used a fluffy brush to apply Makeup by Mario blush across her nose and cheeks.

Off camera, Carpenter created a shimmery eyeshadow look and winged eyeliner. Next, she held up the NYX Cosmetics’ Slim Lip Pencil in a burnt orange shade and lined her pout. Afterward, the “Skin” singer used a mixture of the brand’s Fat Oil Lip Drips in the shades Follow Back and Scrollin. Finally, she applied mascara and sealed her glam in with setting spray.

For the show, her blonde locks were parted down the middle and worn blown out with her curtain bangs framing her face.

“Get ready with me for eras night 3 in Buenos Aires🤍🇦🇷,” she captioned the post.

She paired the look with a hot pink corset finished with pastel 3D roses from Christina Savulescu, a pleated miniskirt and belt, knee-high white socks and custom bedazzled silver platform heels from Naked Wolfe.

This isn't the first fabulous fit Carpenter has rocked while performing.

For another Argentina show on Thursday, November 9, she wore a white plunging corset with rhinestone hearts over her bust. She paired it with a matching miniskirt and the same bejeweled heels.

In August, while opening for the Eras Tour in Mexico City, she looked sexy on stage in a black bedazzled corset finished with lace embellishments and a heart shaped cutout on her chest. She layered a sheer wrap skirt over it and topped the ensemble off with leather knee-high boots complete with a rhinestone embellished platform heel.

Carpenter’s red carpet looks are just as glamorous.

In September, she commanded attention at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in a custom Vera Wang gown. The dress featured long straps, which exposed a sparkly corset underneath. The garment perfectly wrapped around her waist before cascading into a maxi skirt with thigh-high slits. The garment was finished with a dainty train.

The Best Fashion From the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards

For glam, Carpenter rocked her tresses in an updo with curls gracefully falling out. Her makeup featured a dewy base, soft contour, rosy cheeks, lined lips, glittery eyeshadow and long lashes.

That night, Carpenter performed her songs “Feather” and “Nonsense .”

No “Nonsense” here — Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up for a new album.

The pop star sat down with Maya Hawke for an in depth Interview conversation , in which she opened up about how she’s been feeling about her songwriting process. “I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I’m making now because I’ve realized that genre isn’t necessarily the most important thing,” she revealed. “It’s about honesty and authenticity and whatever you gravitate towards. There were a lot of genres in my last album, and I like to think I’ll continue that throughout writing music.”

Pop princess Sabrina Carpenter has made her only live appearance on Australian TV during her Aussie trip to open for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour.

In the interview on the Today show, not only did host Karl Stefanovic try to start a singalong, Carpenter announced she would be returning to Australia to perform her own tour.

Recounting how Carpenter paid tribute to Olivia Newton-John in the second Melbourne show with a stunning rendition of Hopelessly Devoted To You, Stefanovic took the lead in the unofficial studio choir.

“Yeah, get it Karl,” Carpenter said with a grin.

“I really, honestly, everywhere I go I try to cover a song that feels like it fits the place I’m in, and you know that’s it’s also been one of my favourite songs for the longest time,” she said.

Fans also packed out the Nine studios in Sydney for a chance to meet the American megastar.

In a Q&A with her adoring fans after the studio interview, Carpenter confirmed she would be returning to Australia “ASAP” to perform her own world tour.

“My managers are looking at me with a smile – so yes, yes,” she said.

“That’s very much happening and also just being able to be here like performing for technically the first time this weekend has just made me want to come back ASAP.”

Carpenter said she loved Australia and enjoyed playing for such a “loving, happy, excited community” in Sydney and Melbourne.

“I genuinely just feel like I’m so lucky to be doing what I love,” she said.

She said she also loved the accent from Down Under and was trying to learn some slang to fit in more.

“I don’t know if this is slang but I’ve just heard about this Tim Tam Slam that I’m supposed to be doing that I’ve not tried yet.

“But I’ve heard you could use it as a straw which sounds so crafty.”

After being rained out of her set because of Sydney’s wild weather on Friday night, Carpenter said she didn’t care because it meant she got to play a song with Swift instead.

“I actually did not care at all that my set got cut because that was just the coolest thing in the world,” she said.

“(Swift) knows that my first ever cover on YouTube was her song and then on Tuesday night, that was a very full circle moment.

“My mum just called me the next day and she was like I don’t know how you didn’t just start sobbing – I think in the moment, you know, I love performing so much and getting to watch someone who’s just so good at it … It’s just very, very special.”

Sabrina Carpenter, a 24-year-old bona fide pop music star these days, got her start in the entertainment industry as a child actor. Some of her followers even noticed that the first time she posted a Taylor Swift cover video on YouTube was exactly 13 years ago.

Carpenter is probably best known as an actress for playing Maya Hart on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World. These days, however, she's focused on her music career. She has been an artist on Universal Music Group's Island Records since January 2021. Under the label, she most recently put out her fifth album, Emails I Can't Send, which has had five singles released so far, some of which have graced the Billboard charts.

Twitter is lighting up over the news of Sabrina Carpenter ‘s special guest appearance with Taylor Swift. It seems Swifties near and far have a lot to look forward to this summer!

Sabrina Carpenter Drops a Perky Bop, and 10 More New Songs

Hear tracks by girl in red, Margo Guryan, Phish and others.

A blond woman dressed in a lavender dress sings into a white microphone onstage.

By Jon Pareles and Lindsay Zoladz

Every Friday, pop critics for The New York Times weigh in on the week’s most notable new tracks. Listen to the Playlist on Spotify here (or find our profile: nytimes) and at Apple Music here , and sign up for The Amplifier , a twice-weekly guide to new and old songs.

Sabrina Carpenter, ‘ Espresso ’

The rising pop artist Sabrina Carpenter scored a hit with the breathily sung disco throwback “Feather,” but she seems poised for an even bigger smash. Enter “Espresso,” a cheeky, summery tune that just might have the juice to propel her to the next level. Atop a mid-tempo beat that lightly recalls the muffled retro-funk of “Say So,” the song that made Doja Cat a star, Carpenter plays the unbothered temptress with winking humor: “Say you can’t sleep, baby I know, that’s that me, espresso.” Make it a double and get ready to hear this one everywhere. LINDSAY ZOLADZ

girl in red, ‘ I’m Back ’

In “I’m Back,” girl in red — the Norwegian songwriter Marie Ulven Ringheim — defies the cycles of depression. “It’s not like I wanna die,” she whisper-sings. “At least not now/I love being alive.” Quasi-Baroque keyboard arpeggios pace a track that holds back, recognizes that “Time doesn’t stop for a sad little girl” and surges as she decides, “This time I think I’m found.” One-syllable words; deep breakthroughs. JON PARELES

Maggie Rogers, ‘ The Kill ’

A highlight from the singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers ’s loose and casually confident third album, “Don’t Forget Me,” “The Kill” is a soft-rock breakup song that switches perspective halfway through, assigning mutual responsibility for a near-miss relationship’s demise. “We were both so difficult,” Rogers sings soulfully, “but so invincible.” ZOLADZ

Lizz Wright featuring Angelique Kidjo, ‘ Sparrow ’

Lizz Wright promises sanctuary, consolation and strength in “Sparrow” from her new album “Shadow.” Folky guitar and fiddle and a quietly insistent six-beat rhythm support Wright’s benevolent, ever resolute voice as she calls on a lover to return. With Angelique Kidjo singing incantatory lines in the background, summoning African roots, Wright recalls stormy, fearful times and vows, “We gonna rise up singing.” PARELES

Margo Guryan, ‘ Moon Ride ’

Margo Guryan’s 1968 album of gently psychedelic chamber-pop, “Take a Picture,” was rediscovered in the early 2000s by pop crate-diggers like Beck and Cornelius and more recently on TikTok. In the 1950s, Guryan was immersed in jazz, writing lyrics for tunes like Ornette Coleman’s “Lonely Woman” and getting her own songs recorded by Dizzy Gillespie, Harry Belafonte and Astrud Gilberto; she went on to write the intricate Top 40 hit “Sunday Mornin’” for Spanky and Our Gang. A new boxed set, “Words and Music,” unveils 16 previously unreleased tracks including “Moon Ride” from 1956, which the jazz singer Chris Connor recorded in 1958. It’s an easy-swinging shuffle with a cheerfully dissonant flute playing alongside Guryan. She recounts a “hair-raising, nail-biting, frightening flight” where she’s captured by moon men, shoots her ray gun and escapes across the “uneven cheese-covered ground” — all with diffident 1950s cool and a hint of a wink in her voice. PARELES

Phish, ‘ Evolve ’

Trey Anastasio sings as a genial voice of God in “Evolve,” which will be the title track of Phish’s first studio album since 2020. The tune is from Phish’s countryish side, lilting behind a deity who’s having second thoughts about the results of creation: “A million little things to solve/Or not — I’ll let them all evolve.” Phish fans have already heard one version of “Evolve” on Anastasio’s 2020 album, “ Lonely Trip,” and lately the band has been playing it on tour. The studio version has changed key and grown a bit too formal, adding vocal harmonies and a string section. No doubt it will loosen up at concerts, still evolving. PARELES

Phelimuncasi and Metal Preyers, ‘ Gidigidi ka Makhelwane ’

The politically minded South African group Phelimuncasi, from Durban, collaborated in a Ugandan studio with Jesse Hackett, Gorillaz’s longtime keyboardist who sometimes records as Metal Preyers, on the new album “Izigqinamba” (“The Rules”). Its opener, “Gidigidi ka Makhelwane,” is a rhythm-forward track that syncopates briskly chanted, matter-of-fact female and male vocals from Phelimuncasi’s Malathon, Makan Nana and Khera amid hissing beatbox sounds, deep log-drum beats and — out of nowhere — an occasional church bell: serious but definitely skewed. PARELES

Bruno Berle, ‘ Acorda e Vem ’

The Brazilian singer and songwriter Bruno Berle, and his musical collaborator batata boy, merge airborne ballad crooning and surreal electronics in “Acorda e Vem” (“Awaken and Come”) from Berle’s album, “No Reino dos Afetos 2” (“In the Kingdom of Emotions 2”). His voice is an androgynous tenor further stretched by Auto-Tune; his plea, over two recurring, disembodied chords, is to “Recover the magic/Recover what dissolved in emotions and tears.” PARELES

Phosphorescent, ‘ Fences ’

Phosphorescent — the songwriter Matthew Houck — laments a rift that’s grown irreparable in the careworn folk-rock of “Fences.” With a trudging beat and hovering pedal-steel guitar, he mingles apology, disbelief and complaint: “You thought I might not see that you were way wrong.” The chorus — “You’re building fences” — brings consoling harmonies to what he knows he must accept. PARELES

Melissa Aldana, ‘ Echoes of the Inner Prophet — For Wayne Shorter ’

The Chilean jazz saxophonist Melissa Aldana pays tribute to Wayne Shorter with a ballad very much in his style: seemingly tentative but moving ahead, harmonically complex but tenderly songlike. That melody emerges as her quintet wafts abstract ideas around her — skittering piano runs, little guitar patterns, distant electronics — that still, somehow, coalesce. PARELES

Carlos Niño & Friends, ‘ Love to All Doulas! ’

One of the primary collaborators behind André 3000’s instrumental album, “New Blue Sun,” was Carlos Niño, who has recorded extensively with his own fluid assemblages of “friends.” Niño’s album due May 24, “Placenta,” reflects on the birth of his second child, now 1 year old, and like “New Blue Sun” it invokes drone, ambient and ritual music. “Love to All the Doulas” moves in misty, long-breathed arcs, with the hornlike tones of Nate Mercereau’s guitar synthesizer feeling out a melody among beatless percussion and tremulous strings, creating a lingering hush of anticipation. PARELES

Jon Pareles has been The Times’s chief pop music critic since 1988. He studied music, played in rock, jazz and classical groups and was a college-radio disc jockey. He was previously an editor at Rolling Stone and the Village Voice. More about Jon Pareles

After Taylor announced her Eras Tour concert film would premiere on October 13, Camila reposted the announcement on her Instagram Story and wrote, “moving my bday party to october 13.” (Her actual birthday is March 3.)

Sabrina Carpenter is, of course, one of Taylor ‘s opening acts on The Eras Tour . During an interview with Who What Wear , she explained her reaction to the exciting news that she’d be opening. “I’m not gonna say I peed my pants because that sounds really graphic and maybe not sanitary, but I think it really just caught me off guard,” she joked. “It was very much a childhood dream come true.”

She added, “I still probably have not processed it if I’m being completely honest with you.”

After performing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sabrina posted photos from the shows on Instagram and wrote, “Buenos Aires Eras tour you fully reprogrammed my eardrums. i can’t believe how magical those 3 nights were. everyone say thank you Taylor :’) see you very soon Rio 🇧🇷.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were living it up with Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan at Coachella !

On Saturday, April 13, the couples were spotted hanging out together in the crowd, a video captured by a concertgoer and shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows.

The group hangout comes after Carpenter, 24, opened for some of Swift’s Eras tour dates, and Keoghan, 31, attended to support her .

In a video of the group at the Indio, California, music festival, Kelce and Swift, both 34, danced along to the singer’s hit song “Karma” as Ice Spice , who was featured on a remix of the track, performed it onstage.

In the clip, Carpenter and Keoghan, who first sparked dating rumors in late 2023, stood right in front of the couple, watching on as the rapper performed.

Before Ice Spice, 24, began her Coachella set, Swift was seen introducing Kelce and greeting other festival-goers as they waited, a TikTok posted by actress Sissy Sheridan showed.

At another Saturday Coachella performance from Bleachers — which is fronted by one of Swift's friends and collaborators, Jack Antonoff — the “Red” singer and her beau were seen dancing together and sharing a smooch.

During the set, the tight end and pop star were spotted kissing and grooving together backstage as the “Rollercoaster” rockers performed.

In another TikTok captured at Coachella on April 13, Swift and Kelce were seen sharing a sweet moment as they danced, intertwined with their arms in the air while watching Dom Dolla's set.

Another sweet — and viral — moment from the music festival came on Friday, April 12, during Carpenter’s set, when Keoghan was spotted not only supporting the “Espresso” singer, but also filming her performance .

In a clip shared by a concertgoer on X, the Saltburn star stood in front of the stage and held up a phone to film Carpenter, nodding along as she performed her song “Bet U Wanna.”

And Keoghan was committed to capturing a quality video, turning and following the singer with the camera as she walked across the stage, where the balcony of a mock motel was created for her set.

In other clips posted by fans of Carpenter on X, the Banshees of Inisherin actor could be seen watching his singer girlfriend perform sans camera, and hopping in a golf cart with her to head backstage after her set.

Insider Today

Sabrina Carpenter is having her moment.

With her new song "Espresso," the pop star may have just dropped this year's summertime hit.

And that's after months of opening for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, starting a new relationship with "Saltburn" star Barry Keoghan, and performing at Coachella this weekend. She's been busy.

In her caffeinated new hit, Carpenter gloats about keeping men up at night like an espresso would.

"And now he's thinkin' 'bout me every night, oh. Is it that sweet? I guess so," she sings. "Say you can't sleep, baby, I know. That's that me, espresso."

In the accompanying music video , Carpenter and her girlfriends relax at the beach, where they are doted on by men who oil them up and fan them with palm branches. She channels a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" vibe in some scenes, complete with a head scarf, sunglasses, and luxury shopping bags.

The song dropped on Friday and was ranked seventh on Spotify's Top 50 by Saturday with nearly 1.5 million listens.

In years past, the top song of the summer has often been a pop hit, though last year saw a country exception. In 2023, Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" topped the charts all summer long. In 2022, it was Harry Styles' "As It Was." And the year before that, the top bop was "Good 4 U" by Olivia Rodrigo.

But becoming a summer playlist darling is more than just bragging rights for artists. It can completely revitalize or solidify one's career — just ask Miley Cyrus and SZA.

Cyrus' 2023 single "Flowers" breathed new life into her career after a rocky public persona

Although "Flowers" burst onto the scene in January 2023, the disco-influenced pop song on "Endless Summer Vacation" became one of the most beloved hits of that summer.

Related stories

Apple Music announced Miley Cyrus as the second most streamed song of 2023, and the song topped several Billboard Charts , including reigning supreme on the Adult Contemporary Chart for a record-breaking 37 weeks. "Flowers" also became the fastest song in Spotify history to reach one billion streams as of May 2023.

The single no doubt cushioned Cyrus' wallet, but Business Insider cannot confirm the official amount. Apple Music does not share streaming numbers, and Spotify doesn't publicly say how much it pays artist royalties.

However, outlets like Forbes have reported that the money continues to roll in for Cyrus more than a year after "Flowers" debuted. The song rose 2,100% in sales the week of February 15, proving the catchy tune hasn't strayed from the public's mind.

"Flowers" afforded Cyrus more than money, though. It also allowed her to revitalize her public persona and snag some awards along the way. Like Carpenter, Cyrus was a Disney child star who amassed international fame with "Hannah Montana." But her reputation stumbled in the 2010s as she faced accusations of cultural appropriation and publicly navigated her transition into an adult celebrity .

Cyrus had released several singles before dropping "Flowers," including "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart," but none reached the same heights. She snagged the Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance awards at this year's 66th Annual Grammy Awards .

Since winning the awards, two industry giants have publicly co-signed her musical talents with high-profile collaborations. Cyrus released "Doctor (Work It Out)" with Pharrell Williams in March and recently featured on Beyoncé's newest album, "Cowboy Carter."

SZA's "Kill Bill" also emerged as a summer hit that brought recognition and profit

Alongside the summer success of "Flowers" is "Kill Bill," the smooth R&B song by SZA that became a single in January 2023 and cruised into the summer as a fan favorite.

At the time of writing, the song has amassed more than 1.7 billion streams on Spotify and became the third-most streamed song on Apple Music's 2023 global charts. "Kill Bill" broke the record for most weeks at No.1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in May 2023, according to the company .

Money-wise, BI can't confirm the official amount she made from the single, but Billboard reported that her catchy songs on "SOS" brought fans out to her tour. The tour, which took place between February 2023 and March 2023, generated $34.5 million with 238,000 tickets sold and likely outdid her first tour for "CTRL."

Like "Flowers," SZA's single success helped boost her career and solidify herself as an R&B mainstay, a feat some questioned after waiting since 2017 for a new album.

"Kill Bill" garnered praise from critics and received a number of award nominations, including three at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards . Since then, SZA's career has only continued to grow.

She attended the iHeart Radio Awards this month and won four of them, including Song of the Year for "Kill Bill." More recently, she performed for audiences at the Dreamville music festival, where other major acts like J. Cole and Nicki Minaj also appeared.

So with "Espresso," Carpenter has a chance to catapult herself onto the big stage and secure her place as a bonafide star.

Sabrina Carpenter Pregnant?: Pop Star Shares Surprising Announcement During Concert

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter is currently touring across North America and she shared a very surprising announcement on her latest show; is she really pregnant?

According to Pop Crave , the Disney musician performed in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 1. During the end of her smash hit song "Nonesense," the singer constantly freestyles the final few lines, meaning the lyrics are different in every city.

For her show in the area, the musician, who donned a silver dress and a pair of white boots, changed the lyrics to: "put your hands up if you live in Salt Lake / How do you get alcohol on Sundays," before saying she's "pregnant."

The crowd briefly paused for a while until the pop star finally revealed that it was only an April Fools joke.

Sabrina Carpenter Gets in Trouble Over BBC Freestyle Lyrics

In February, Sabrina Carpenter also changed the lyrics of her song when she performed on BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge."

Towards the end of the track, she freestyled, "I'm American, I am not British / So BBC, it stands for something differentnt." (via Uproxx )

After the video made rounds online, many fans immediately called out the actress as they deem the sudden change of lyrics inappropriate.

The performance video was later taken down by the BBC, but The Independent UK  reported that it was re-edited and is now accessible again online.

Why Does Sabrina Carpenter Change the Lyrics of 'Nonesense'?

In a previous interview with " The Travis Mills Show ," the musician revealed that the reason why she constantly changes the lyrics of her song is that she couldn't stop writing "fake versions of the chorus."

"Basically, we were, like, we know the song is nonsense, we know the chorus, so we took a few of those lyrics that we love, that we were dying over, and we put them in the outro of the song," she said.

Carpenter further noted that she thinks it's cool that the song was able to make it to the final cut of her album because it shows her "stupid sense of humor."

In other updates, Sabrina Carpenter's next show would be at the Revolution Concert House in Garden City, Indiana, on April 02, 2023. For more information about the complete tour dates, tickets, and VIP passes, visit her official website in this link .
