  19. First edition or second for new player?

    First Edition is more 'Trek Sense' oriented, that is, if it happened on the show, the game elements can and usually do reflect that in 1E. Second Edition is much more gameplay balanced/sensical, that is, the CCG adheres to game tenets over storyline tenets. Both are good, but, if you've gamed with other CCG's, it's probably better to start with 2E.
