In the Pali Canon, a collection of scriptures that forms the belief system and history of the Theravada Buddhist tradition, this village for referred to as “Isipatana”, meaning “a place where holy men landed”. The name Sarnath, however, comes from the Sanskrit language, where the word “Saranganatha” has the meaning of “Lord of the Deer”. This may be due to the tale of one of Gautam Buddha’s previous lives as a Bodhisattva (a person who delays their ascent into enlightenment due to their display of compassion for beings who are still suffering) who was leading deer through a forest. There was a king who lived nearby who wished to hunt his deer, so this Bodhisattva struck a deal with him - that he would only hunt these animals one by one, per the Bodhisattva’s instructions. The king agreed, but then one day, the time came for the king to kill a doe who was to give birth to a fawn. To save this doe’s life he offered his own life to the king. The king, rocked to his core by this act of sacrifice, decide to create a sanctuary for deer in that forest instead. This sanctuary is said to be Sarnath’s famous Deer Park, where deer still live and thrive to this day.

Starting with the stupas of Sarnath

This tour commences with your arrival in the village of Varanasi. After you check into your hotel, drop off your luggage and stretch your legs for a bit to shake off that travel fatigue, we’re off to our first stop on the tour. That stop is the holy lands of Sarnath. One of the most important sites anywhere in India for the people who follow both the Buddhist philosophies as well as Jain philosophies, this place has a number of monuments scattered throughout its expanse that tell the story of why this place has the reverence that it does in these cultures.

The first of these places is the famed Deer Park of Sarnath. Next up on the tour of Sarnath are its magnificent stupas. Stupas, in Buddhist culture, were originally meant to function as tombs, not too dissimilar to how pyramids function in Egyptian culture. Another stupa here that is worthy of note is the Chaukhandi Stupa. Whereas the Dhamek Stupa enshrines the spot where Gautam Buddha taught his disciples for the first time, the Chaukhandi Stupa marks the place where they first met, as Gautam Buddha returned from Bodh Gaya after achieving enlightenment.

Following this, we travel to Sarnath’s main chowk, where a monument named Mulagandha Kuti Vihar is located. After our tour of Sarnath is completed, we make our way back to Varanasi at around 5 pm, just in time to witness the wonderfully choreographed ritual of the Ganga Aarti, performed here at Dasaswamedh Ghat during every sunset. After this tiring yet fulfilling jaunt around these sacred towns, we return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Varanasi – Arrival + Ganga Arti

Pick-up from Airport/Railway station and check in to Hotel.

At evening, get ready to experience one of the most memorable moments of your life, as you will be taken to River Ganges. Enjoy Ganga Aarti . Varanasi – Boat Ride at sunrise – Temple tour

Early morning, we will be taken for a boat ride on the Ganges . It is a mystical and spiritual experience as you watch people offering water to the Sun God and devotees taking holy dip in the Ganges. We will visit all the famous Ghats of Varanasi via boat. Latter visit the most religious Kashi Vishwanath temple , Annapurna Temple . Come back to hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, visit to famous Temples of Varanasi like BHU , ( Birla Temple , Bharat Kala Bhawan , Museum ), Manas Mandir , Sankat Mochan , Durga Temple(Hanuman temple/Monkey Temple) , Tridev Temple , The Bharat Mata temple.

Varanasi – Sarnath- Ramnagar

Early morning, we will be again taken for a bath on the Ganges . It is a mystical and spiritual experience as you watch people offering water to the Sun God and devotees taking holy dip in the Ganges.(as per your wish) then come to hotel.

After breakfast, we will be taken for an excursion to Sarnath . Sarnath is the place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples in deer park. The attractions at Sarnath are the Buddha temples, the Dhamekha stupa , Chaukhandi stupa and the Archaeological Museum.

Latter we will visit Ramnagar Fort Formerly the residence of Maharaja of Benaras, this 17th century stronghold is best seen from the river. Reached via a dilapidated bridge or by ferry during the monsoon season, the fort also contains an interesting museum that contains some elaborate relics. Expect to see everything from gruesome elephant traps to astrological clocks and razor-sharp swords. Night stay at Hotel in Varanasi.

Varanasi- Allahabad- (150km- 03 Hrs) Varanasi (150km- 03 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Allahabad where we will enjoy a bath on the Sangam (where Holy River Ganga, Yamuna and Srawasti confluence ). It is a mystical and spiritual experience as you watch people offering water to the Sun God and devotees taking dip in Sangan point.

Note- to reach near Sangam, you have to hire a boat(by your own).

Latter we will cover the other spot in Allahabad like Hanuman Temple, Anand Bhavan - one of the country’s best-running museums in memory of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Swaraj Bhawan - the house where the former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi was born. Bharadwaj park.

Varanasi – Ayodhya(225Km- 04 Hrs-) Varanasi(225Km- 04 Hrs-)

After breakfast drive to Ayodhya , first we go for Sarayu River take a bath there .(as per your wish) then Visit to RAMA JANMA BHOOMI – a temple of Lord Ram. Ramayana states that river Sayaru’s bank is the birthplace of lord Rama. The 7th avatar of Vishnu, Lord Rama is believed to be taken birth here. In the sixteenth century, Babur, the Mughal emperor built mosque “Babri Mosque” at the place where Rama took birth but it was destroyed in 1992.Currently stay has been put on that Land for creation of new temple by Supreme court of India.

HANUMAN GARHI TEMPLE –Hanuman Garhi is an ancient temple situated in the center of the town, which houses a statue of child Hanuman seated at the lap of mother Anjani. There is a belief that Hanuman lived here in a cave and guarded the Janambhoomi of Ram. The structure of this famous shrine in Ayodhya is massive in the shape of four-sided fort with circular bastions at each corner.

Varanasi – Bodhgaya(300 Km -06 hrs.)Varanasi (300 Km -06 hrs.)

Early morning with packed breakfast we drive towards Bodhgaya , Visit Lord Buddha Temple (Maha Bodhi temple), Bodhi Tree, Buddha Statue. Covers other sightseeing places Sita Kund, Janki temple and drive to Later Gaya (12 Kms).Visit Vishnu Temples or Vishnupad Temple is sacred among Hindus and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. According to believers and religious texts, the footprints inside the temple are those of Lord Vishnu.

Visit Japanese Temple, Chinese Temple, TibetianTemple, Phalguna River and drive to Varanasi. Overnight stay at Hotel in Varanasi.

Varanasi – Vindhyachal - Chunar- Varanasi

After breakfast, drive to Mirzapur, to visit Vindhyachal which is situated in the middle of the two holy cities- Allahabad and Varanasi on the bank of River Ganges in the Mirzapur district. The built up area lies along the direction of the River Ganges with the temple of Vindhyavasini in the centre. The city is dedicated to Goddess Vindhyavasini - one of the renowned Shaktipeethas of the country and an important religious and pilgrim centre. There are many other temples and mineral springs (locally known as Kunds) in the vicinity of the town.

Vindhyavasini, Ashtabhuja and Kali Khoh are three main Shakti temples here, located on the three corners of Vindhya Parvat. The divine trinity is worshipped here as Ma Laxmi, Ma Kali and Ma Saraswati. Bhairav temples are located around the city centre to ward off evil effects, viz., Anand Bhairav on the east, Sidhanath on the west, Kapal Bhairav on the south & Rudra Bhairav on the north side. ‘Kajali’ the local folk music is dedicated to Ma Vindhyavasini. All Kajali singers from north India come here to celebrate Kajali Mahotsava (Festival). People come here to seek blessings from goddess of power. Tantriks also visit this place for Tantra sadhana (Meditation).

Latter we will drive for Chunar to see Chunar Fort, Sonwa Mandap, Samadhi of bhartrihari and , Bungalow of warren Hastings ,Britsh Cemetory and on the way to Varanasi, we can see the famous poetry work by local people.

Later drive to Varanasi & Overnight stay in Varanasi .

Varanasi – Special Lord Shiva tour with Mangla Arti in Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Start early morning 2:30 am for Magala arrti , it happens everyday early morning (first prayer to Lord Shiva with enchanting of Mantra) in Kashi Vishwanath Temple- one of 12 jyotirlinga in India. Telangana Tourism introduce special tours for Kartika Masam

The packages include Hyderabad to Pancharamam, Hyderabad to Ananthagiri to Vikarabad, and Hyderabad to Beechpalli to Alampur.

Hyderabad: As the auspicious Karthika Masam is here, the Telangana Tourism department has come up with multiple packages to enable people to visit famous temples and other destinations. It has curated five tours, which will be in effect from this weekend.

• డే 1 : న్యూ జల్పైగురి జంక్షన్ రైల్వే స్టేషన్ / పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ లోని బాగ్డోగ్రా అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయం నుంచి పర్యటకులను పిక్ అప్ చేసుకుని సుమారు 125 కిమీ దూరంలో ఉన్న సిక్కిం రాజధాని గ్యాంగ్ టక్ తీసుకెళ్లారు. గ్యాంగ్ టక్ లోని హోటల్ చెక్ ఇన్ చేస్తారు. మిగిలిన సమయంలో విశ్రాంతి తీసుకుంటారు. రాత్రి బస గ్యాంగ్‌టక్‌లోనే ఉంటుంది.
