Renowned comedian, actor, host, and author Bert Kreischer announced he’ll be extending his Tops Off World Tour with 31 new dates this fall.

Bert Kreischer’s career has evolved from earning Rolling Stone’s 1997 " Number One Partier in the Nation ," to one of the top grossing stand-up comics in the business. In 2022, Pollstar listed Bert as #4 in the “ Top 10 Highest Grossing Tours ,”  performing to sold-out arenas around the globe. He is currently on his 2023 Tops Off World Tour .

As one of the best storytellers of his generation, Kreischer seamlessly and sincerely shares anecdotes about his family and fatherhood while proving “that there’s a way to take his [party-boy] antics into middle-age,” (Forbes).

On March 14, Kreischer released his highly anticipated 5th stand-up special, “Razzle Dazzle” on Netflix. Shameless — and shirtless — as ever, Bert spills on bodily emissions, being bullied by his kids, and the explosive end to his family's escape room outing. Now, 23 years later, that trip has come back to haunt him as he and his estranged father (Mark Hamill) are kidnapped back to Russia by the mob to atone for something they say he did. Together, Bert and his father must retrace the steps of his younger self (Jimmy Tatro) in the midst of a war within a sociopathic crime family, all while attempting to find common ground in their often-fraught relationship.

On June 14, Bert will kick-off the second annual Fully Loaded Comedy Festival at sixteen of the most iconic ballparks and arenas across the country. He also co-hosts the podcast, “Two Bears One Cave” with Tom Segura, which is consistently charting in the top 10 comedy podcasts in the world.  About  Bert Kreischer

“A rare and incredible talent” ( Interrobang ) whose “success isn’t a surprise” ( Variety ), Bert Kreischer has become an award-winning entertainment juggernaut and a master of virtually every medium he tackles: standup comedy, TV, podcasts, a memoir and album, and soon his first feature film. He was Pollstar ’s #1 2020 standup touring artist in the midst of a global pandemic, selling out arenas and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and earning Pollstar ’s Damn The Torpedoes: 2020-2021 Touring Artist award. Followed soon after by Variety ’s 2021 Creative Impact in Comedy award.

Bert has revolutionized live comedy performances with 2020’s Hot Summer Nights tour of drive-ins and this year’s Fully Loaded Comedy Festival that took Kreischer and his favorite comedians to such open-air venues as minor league baseball parks, a racetrack and amphitheater. He boasts two of the most-popular comedy podcasts in the world, “Bertcast” and ”2 Bears 1 Cave” (with Tom Segura), stars in his own Netflix show “The Cabin with Bert Kreischer,” and hosts the wildly-successful “The Go Big Show” on TBS alongside celebrity judges T-Pain, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Nettles, and Cody Rhodes, now heading into its third season. Three of his four comedy specials are currently streaming on Netflix, “The Machine,” “Secret Time” and “Hey Big Boy.” And he stars in, wrote, and produced his upcoming movie, also “The Machine,” co-starring Mark Hamill of “Star Wars” fame.

“The Machine,” a unique story from his true-life experiences on a college study group in Russia when he was mistaken for a Russian mafia boss robbing the train he was on, represents a pivotal shift upward in Kreischer’s career. He wrote the story as a routine after returning home from a disappointing New Year’s Eve gig in Oxnard, CA where no one showed up.

At the time, he enjoyed a busy schedule touring comedy clubs, had chalked up TV credits for “ Bert the Conqueror ” and “Trip Flip” for the Travel Channel, “Hurt Bert” on FX, and other hosting and acting roles as well showcasing his routine on TV talk shows. “When I got into this business, everyone followed in lockstep so much: It was get your tight 10 [minutes], get on Conan , get on Letterman , get on ‘The Tonight Show,’ get a development deal, get a commercial…” Kreischer explains. “Even though I did that for a period of time, the second I started listening to my own gut was when I started really succeeding.”

After writing “The Machine” story, Bert shot himself delivering it, posted it on Facebook, and went to bed. Bert’s wife LeeAnn woke him the next morning to announce that the clip had gone viral, with 22,000 shares. By just a few days later, it had racked up a phenomenal 33 million views, Now, at more than 85 million views and counting, “The Machine” became the centerpiece of Kreischer’s next comedy special and what Deadline calls his “genre-busting” debut film. “I love the idea of doing things a little differently and not being afraid to do things a little differently,” he asserts. To wit, when the Covid-19 pandemic first surged in 2020, Kreischer worried about how he and his fellow entertainers whose income relied on touring might survive. So he booked a four-date socially-distanced tour of drive-in theaters called Hot Summer Nights. “Every agent in the business told me not to do drive-ins,” he recalls. The tour sold out and created a new live entertainment option during the pandemic.

This year he introduced another imaginative touring mode, his eight-date Fully Loaded Comedy Festival, featuring his favorite fellow stand-up comics on various dates. Billed as a celebration of “comedy, cold beer, and sunsets.” It started selling out soon after it was announced, and went on to set the attendance record for comedy shows at the Bristol Dragway in Bristol, TN, Frontier Field in Rochester, NY, Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA, and Day Air Ballpark in Dayton, OH. It happened in the midst of his Berty Boy Relapse tour making up pandemic-postponed shows followed by a fall run of dates at prestigious North American venues and a return to Red Rocks, perfecting material for his next special to be shot in Omaha, NE on November 18, 2022.

The origin of Kreischer’s comedy career is as unique as his distinctive comedic brand of hilarious storytelling and observational humor, delivered shirtless.  The Tampa, FL native first burst into the public eye when Rolling Stone magazine published a major feature article on him in 1997 as the "Number One Partier in the Nation" during his sixth year of college at Florida State University, then rated as the national number one party school. It lit a bulb in Kreischer’s imagination that standup comedy might be the career choice he had yet to make for when he finally left college. And a way to continue his genuine love for partying into adulthood.

In the wake of the article, he first tried standup at, in this case, the aptly-named venue Potbelly’s in Tallahassee. “Afterwards, I called my Dad and said, this is what I’m going to do for the rest of my life. I got to be every part of me that I like being and everyone enjoyed it.” He was offered a morning DJ shift on a local radio station as a result of the show. Instead, he moved to New York City, and at age 26 wrangled his way into both working and honing his act onstage at the seminal Greenwich Village venue the Boston Comedy Club alongside such fellow budding talents as Sarah Silverman, Adam Sandler, Jim Gaffigan, Ed Helms, and other notables.

Early opportunities that came his way augured big things to come in the future, even if some didn’t work out as intended. Oliver Stone optioned the rights to the Rolling Stone article to develop it into a feature film starring Bert (a writer of a spec script for the project adapted it to become the movie “Van Wilder”). Soon after, Will Smith recruited Kreischer to star in a CBS TV sitcom pilot, “Life With David J,” with Elliott Gould.

Since migrating to Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife LeeAnn and their two daughters, Georgia and Ila – all of whom figure in his routines – Kreischer first made his bones on the standup club circuit and appearing on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Conan” and “Racheal Ray” along with acting parts on shows like the acclaimed police drama “The Shield.” He wrote about his life to date in “Life of the Party: Stories of a Perpetual Man-Child,” published by St. Martin’s Press, and released the CD Bert Bert Bert in 2007.

His uniqueness has also helped drive Bert’s success he came out onstage one night and ripped off his shirt for a laugh. As the show went on he enjoyed being shirtless. “I am so Florida,” he notes. “I was barefoot and shirtless all the time as a kid, and still am most of the time onstage and off. It’s how I like to live.” It’s become part of his trademark as well as a signal of body positivity for the countless regular guys among his millions of fans that don’t boast cut and chiseled gym bods when they doff their shirts at the pool or beach.

A master humorous storyteller in a long and proud tradition that stretches back to legends like Mark Twain and Will Rogers, Bert is making his mark on modern culture with frank, no-holds-barred humor that tackles family and fatherhood, current events, his personal adventures, daily routines and legendary party-hearty ways, and much else that strikes his inspired fancy. And all the while, he continues to be innovative and imaginative as well as riotously hilarious.

“Everything about me is trying to be authentically in the moment and of the essence,” he concludes. It’s a realness and sincerity that creates considerable appeal to the masses from a near-countless variety of walks of life. “I just started doing stuff that I found fun. I found enough confidence in myself to go, ‘I got here doing what I wanted and what I loved. I’m just going to do what I love and not let people tell me what I should be doing.’”

65 mph straight-line winds rip roof off Ferndale building, topple trees and power lines

tops off tour comedians

Ferndale bore the brunt of Wednesday's thunderstorms, with strong winds estimated at 65 mph that downed trees and power lines, and even ripped the roofs off of buildings — all within an area of several blocks.

The powerful gusts were from straight-line winds, not those of a tornado, confirmed Alex Manion, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in White Lake Township, who surveyed the damage in Ferndale with a team.

"Most locations saw 45 to 50 mph wind gusts (but) it looks like Ferndale and possibly the eastern portion of Oakland County saw some localized higher gusts. Ferndale was likely the highest that we saw, a little hotspot of 65 mph," said Manion.

The storm barreled into Ferndale shortly after 3 p.m., he said, scattering damages mainly along 9 Mile Road, Paxton Street, Hilton Road, and Bonner Street.

"It was very, very sporadic; there were several blocks or a whole section that had no damage whatsoever," said Manion.

More: Michigan House briefly evacuated during tornado warning (freep.com)

In a security camera video posted to Instagram, the footage records spinning winds pulling the roof of a building and electric lines popping with bright flashes of purple light.

City Manager Joseph Gacioch also said most of the damage was limited to a section of east 9 Mile and north Hilton Road — the majority of the city even maintained power.

"I was on a remote call with city hall at the time, asking about the storm because I was in Canton," said Gacioch. "Everyone at city hall thought it was just a typical storm, which goes to say that we didn't know there was such an impact ... and (city hall) is maybe only five blocks away from the (Ferndale Housing Commission) Autumn House? It was very strange."

Reports surfaced that a person at the Autumn House was injured by debris when high winds tore the roof off, but officials confirmed that the injury was minor and that the individual is in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

The Ferndale Department of Public Works and fire crews worked past midnight to clean up the downed trees and power lines. Gacioch confirmed that debris had been moved and roads cleared by 10 a.m. Thursday while DTE worked to restore power to disrupted buildings.

2024 RBC Heritage live stream, watch online, TV schedule, channel, tee times, radio, golf coverage

There is no rest for the weary with a signature event on tap this week on the pga tour.

rbc-heritage-signage-2023-g.jpg

Players make the short trip from Augusta, Georgia, to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for this week's 2024 RBC Heritage. In total, 69 golfers will tee it up on Harbour Town Golf Links across the first two days as yet another signature event on the PGA Tour's playing calendar gets underway.

Unlike the Genesis Invitational or Arnold Palmer Invitational, the RBC Heritage will not feature a 36-hole cut, meaning the entirety of the field will be around for the weekend. That is music to the ears to those who missed out on the weekend action at the Masters, including the likes of Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Wyndham Clark and Brian Harman.

Spieth, the 2022 champion, looks to kickstart his season after a disappointing showing at Augusta National. He is no stranger to bouncing back at the RBC Heritage; he followed a missed cut at the year's first major championship with a win a week later in Hilton Head.

If Spieth is to return to the winner's circle, he will have to go through Scottie Scheffler. The world No. 1 remains in the field for now and aims to collect his fourth trophy in his last five tournaments. Fresh off slipping on his second green jacket, Scheffler has widened the gap between him and the rest of the world and shows no signs of slowing down.

Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Åberg, Will Zalatoris and Max Homa were among those to perform well at the Masters, and they hope that translates to more of the same. Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay and defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick will look for some form. In total, 26 of the top 30 players in the Official World Golf Rankings are set to play.

This Is Going to Hurt writer Adam Kay tours Australia for first time with his diaries of a junior doctor

A portrait of Adam Kay, a 43-year-old man, leaning forward while perched on a stool in front of a red background.

During the pandemic, former doctor Adam Kay tried to return to medicine.

Now a writer and comedian — best known for his bestselling memoir This Is Going to Hurt — Kay quit his job as a junior doctor in the UK in 2010 and his name was taken off the medical register five years later.

In 2020, when the National Health Service (NHS) called out for retired and former doctors to join the fight against COVID-19, he tried to re-join the profession.

"They had this hotline, and I phoned them up, and I told them everything I'd done and when I last worked, and they said, 'Thanks very much. We'll be in touch.' And then they emailed me a couple of weeks later saying, 'No, we're fine, thanks,'" Kay recalls.

"It was very insulting. Why didn't they want a labour-ward doctor who's not worked for a decade?" he adds, with a laugh.

A book cover for This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay, featuring a doctor's coat hanging on a hook.

While Kay may have been rejected by the NHS, he's been embraced by readers and audiences around the world: He embarks on his first Australian tour this month, playing sold-out theatres across the country.

This Is Going to Hurt is the basis of his live show, and comes off the back of February's free-to-air premiere of the TV adaptation, written by Kay and starring Ben Whishaw (Skyfall; Paddington).

Published in 2017, This Is Going to Hurt is a collection of diary entries written between 2004 and 2010. They detail his experiences as a young doctor specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology (or "brats and twats"): from the first caesarean section he performed; to the strange things people insert in their vaginas; to the toll being an overworked, underpaid doctor had on his personal relationships; through to the birth complication that led him to leave medicine for good.

The memoir is a passionate defence of the NHS, which at the same time highlights the systematic issues it faces — especially in terms of the wellbeing of healthcare staff.

A memoir about a junior doctor

When Kay set out to publish his diaries, he was working as a writer on TV comedies, and had performed sections of them at the Edinburgh Fringe. He never expected the book would resonate the way it did.

"I've been blown away with its success," says Kay.

Adam Kay holds three awards in his hands. He is wearing a surgical cap and a blue bow-tie, with a suit styled like scrubs.

"I think people are fascinated at peeking behind the blue curtain, knowing what a doctor's life involves, and also there's clearly an innate love of disgusting stories," he says.

"That all colluded to mean that lots of people bought it."

The book has sold more than 2.5 million copies and been translated into 37 languages.

"I thought I was writing a very parochial, particular story; it was just my story," Kay says.

But he soon started to get messages from doctors, not only from similar countries like Australia, New Zealand and Canada, but from Venezuela, Chad and Belarus.

"All these people said, 'This could be set on my ward.' And I think that's when I thought, 'I think I'm onto something here,'" he says.

"Because I'd been so open, which is something that doctors traditionally don't do, I became a bit of an agony uncle for medics … I was glad that they felt they could speak to me."

Turning a memoir into a TV series

The TV adaptation of This Is Going to Hurt premiered on the BBC in the UK and on Binge in Australia in 2022. The series not only follows a junior doctor called Adam Kay — a fictionalised version of the author, played by Whishaw — but trainee doctor Shruti Acharya (Ambika Mod from One Day ).

The series follows Adam as he battles professional complaints made against him — first by a patient and later by a colleague. Meanwhile Shruti struggles with her mental health and a lack of support from her colleagues and hospital administration.

"I wanted the TV show to have a point," he says.

"I wanted to focus it really firmly on the mental wellbeing of doctors. And I wanted it to be less gaggy and funny than the book, because I wanted people to lean in and take note.

"It's essentially a show about Shruti more than it is about Adam. And, sadly, Shruti is based on people who I knew."

In the UK, one doctor dies by suicide every three weeks, and a nurse takes their own life every three days.

"There can't now be many people who work in a clinical setting over here who don't know someone who's taken their own life," says Kay.

He wanted to make sure the message was not just "brushed under the carpet", as it usually is.

"I knew I'd reach a lot more people through a TV show — it got 10 million people watching that — and that's more than I'll reach in a lifetime of standing up on stage and writing books."

That means 10 million people also saw a version of Kay he cheerfully describes as an "arsehole": rude to patients and nurses, sarcastic, arrogant.

A TV still of Ben Whishaw, looking into the camera. He's wearing blue scrubs and surgical gloves and is holding forceps.

"I could have written the version where that character is a superhero, but that's very boring telly," says Kay.

"I wanted to show the pressures of the job and what that does not just to a relationship and family and friends, I wanted to see the destruction on the individual as well. It's impossible, really, to work a hundred hours a week and at the end of it be unscathed."

At the 2023 BAFTAs, the series earned Kay the award for writing for TV drama and Whishaw best leading actor. Kay dedicated his speech to junior doctors.

"I was paid 25 per cent more in real terms than junior doctors are paid today. And if the government don't sort that out, they've got the most enormous problem on their hands," he said.

Comedy during COVID

Instead of returning to the NHS during the pandemic, Kay continued to perform live comedy — or at least he tried to.

He tried Zoom gigs and even had a crack at performing at a COVID-safe event where the audience watched comedians from their cars, with their radios tuned to the right frequency.

"Instead of clapping or laughing, they would do the windscreen wipers or flash their lights. And that was so weird. It was like being a stand-up comedian car in the film Cars," he says.

"At that point, I sat it out until we were allowed into actual theatres again."

On a table rests Undoctored by Adam Kay, a book featuring a figure of a man in a stethoscope running on a street sign.

With live performances cancelled around the world, Kay says people started to realise how much they valued the arts in their lives — at the same time as casual workers in creative industries were shut off from receiving government suppor t.

"I'm not pretending it's the same as saving a life on a labour ward. But what is life for when it's stripped of [the arts]?"

At the same time as people were watching live comedy in their lounge rooms, they were also gaining a greater appreciation for healthcare staff. In the UK, many people participated in Clap for Our Carers, where people would applaud essential workers from their doorsteps.

"COVID crystallised in everyone's mind quite how important those jobs are, and how reliant we are on these people. [Though] not enough for the government to pay them anymore," he says.

But while people may appreciate the essential work of medical professionals more, Kay points out that budgets are more stretched now than they were in 2010, and that many doctors — like him — have left the field.

"Things are a lot tougher on the wards [now]," he says.

But Kay does think the industry has improved in terms of staff wellbeing. In 2019, the government launched a dedicated 24-hour helpdesk for doctors working across the country.

"Medicine can no longer get away with totally ignoring the concept of the wellbeing of its staff. They're not doing it well enough. But at least there's like some effort being made," he says.

"It's probably a kinder place than when I was working there."

'Culturally a doctor'

It took Kay a long time before he was comfortable calling himself a "writer". Yet even though he has started to put "writer" as his occupation on forms, part of him still sees himself as who he was.

"I consider myself culturally a doctor," he says.

"A lot of my friends are doctors. I still miss working as a doctor. I've got a lot of guilt about leaving medicine. People still text me their rashes. But I'm not a doctor. The reason that I applied to medicine in the first place to help people hasn't gone away: I've still got that in me somewhere."

He loves to perform on stage, and describes his live shows as a mix of stand-up and storytelling. What he loves even more is sitting at a table after a show signing books and talking to people — something he'll be doing on his Australian tour.

Usually, audiences approach him and say things like "This book helped me through this patch", or "This book put my child off studying medicine."

But recently his audiences in the UK have started to tell him a new story.

"I've had people come up to me, saying, 'You're not going to remember this person, but you delivered them 17 years ago.' Which is quite wild," he says.

"But it's also quite a good business model, isn't it: delivering your own audience."

Adam Kay: This Is Going to Hurt is at Melbourne International Comedy Festival from April 16-21, before touring to Sydney Comedy Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival and Perth Comedy Festival.

Nelly Korda Off to a Strong Start in Quest for Fifth Straight Win

On a course that got more difficult as the first round went on, the world No. 1 finished with a flourish.

  • Author: John Schwarb

Nelly Korda admitted being tired at the start of her first round at the Chevron Championship.

By the end, she looked like the player who has dominated the LPGA for weeks.

The world No. 1, on a four-event winning streak and seeking a fifth at the season’s first major, made four birdies in her last six holes to shoot 4-under 68 and sit in a three-way tie, two shots back of leader Lauren Coughlin.

“I can definitely still feel maybe a little bit of tiredness, so it took me a while to get going,” Korda said. “I felt the nerves definitely at the start of the round. Once I made the turn, I was just playing free golf.”

That meant taking advantage of her length on the two front-side par-5s (her round began on No. 10), two-putting for birdies, with two more birdies at the par-4 6th and 9th.

Nelly Korda putts on the 18th green during the first round of the 2024 Chevron Championship.

Nelly Korda shot 68 in the tougher afternoon wave Thursday.

Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The 68 left her in a tie with Marina Alex and Minami Katsu, two players who, like Coughlin, are on the early/late draw for the first two rounds. Only nine players broke 70 Thursday at the Club at Carlton Woods and only two of those played late Thursday—Korda and Gabriela Ruffels, who shot 69.

“I know it's always luck of the draw in a sense, but I've had my fair share of late-early, early-late, and you've just got to make the most of it,” Korda said. “You can't really get too caught up in that … you’ve just got to go out there and perform.

Which is exactly what Korda has done all year. She won the LPGA Drive On Championship in Florida in late January, then after sitting out the Tour’s three-event Asian swing, won three times in three consecutive weeks in California, Arizona and Nevada. She finally got a break last week when the golf world was off except for the Masters.

“I think those three weeks, I didn't think that it was going to drain me as much as it did maybe mentally,” Korda said. “I was dead when I got home. I just didn't even leave my house for the first two days.”

She turns right around Friday for her second round at 8:10 a.m.

Defending champ withdraws

There will be a new champion at Chevron as 2023 winner Lilia Vu withdrew before her tee time Thursday.

“I have been dealing with a back injury for a while now. Some days are better than others, and today was unfortunately not a good day,” the world No. 2 said in a statement. “During my normal warm-up routine, I had severe discomfort in my back and I felt that I could not compete up to my standards and made the decision to withdraw from the tournament ahead of my tee time. I am planning to return home to see my doctors immediately to determine the best appropriate next steps.”

Bert Kreischer

Tops off world tour.

About  Bert Kreischer:

Adam Kay: the 10 funniest things I have ever seen (on the internet)

The This Is Going to Hurt author is Very Online – so he has some gems to share, including 7,000 fireworks going off at once and a parody of every comedy heist film ever made

A ccording to my nark of a phone, my screen time exceeds five hours a day, with almost all of that spent on the internet. What a waste of a life. I could write about 10 books a year if I managed to knock that on the head. I’m struggling to think of any major benefits of my very-online life, beyond the fact that this article only took me about three minutes to write. Oh, and I met my husband on Twitter.

1. This guy’s aunt dying on Thanksgiving

I think I have watched this video more than a hundred times.

2. Maggie Smith on being recognised in public

Maggie Smith deserves to be a dame for this brilliant interview alone. She treats being being famous as a significant inconvenience and confesses she hasn’t seen a second of Downton Abbey. (Nor me.)

3. 7,000 fireworks going off at once

Happy 10-year anniversary to the greatest fireworks show in history, when San Diego accidentally shot off 7,000 fireworks at once. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/qihO4zeXP3 — Chris Vannini (@ChrisVannini) July 4, 2022

An all-time classic of the internet.

4. Every best actress introduction at awards ceremonies

When you think about them, you realise that awards ceremonies are insane. This is a spot-on parody of that minute of squeaky-bum time waiting for the winner’s name.

5. Rita Ora and the dusty apple

It's giving... dusty apple🍑 @RitaOra #TheBigBreakfast pic.twitter.com/kJrkBXGo01 — Channel 4 (@Channel4) August 13, 2022

I live in mild fear of my career ending after saying something stupid on live television. This clip of Rita Ora on The Big Breakfast reassures me that most mistakes are survivable.

6. The memories live on

The Memories Live On: The greatest printing disaster in newspaper history. pic.twitter.com/9TSu5SfAYH — Michael Spicer (@MrMichaelSpicer) March 5, 2018

A reading of the greatest printing disaster in newspaper history.

7. Fashion in Ireland

Props to anyone who tries to be fashionable in ireland i wore a red beret once in waterford and someone called me super mario — Jane (@janky_jane) August 15, 2021

A thread of solid gold replies about peacocking in a world full of pigeons.

8. A movie trailer for every heist action comedy

This article includes content provided by Instagram. We ask for your permission before anything is loaded, as they may be using cookies and other technologies. To view this content, click 'Allow and continue' .

It’s always fun to watch Hollywood tropes get a skewering. Also, I would absolutely watch this movie.

9. Angry People in Local Newspapers

How best to illustrate a news story about a mystery smell? Holding your nose and a magnifying glass, which is daft because the magnifier will only make the smell bigger. https://t.co/qcHGcAez8o pic.twitter.com/zIOVfVWIGZ — Angry People in Local Newspapers (@angrypiln) January 28, 2024

The Angry People in Local Newspapers feed is a regular source of joy to me – from pensioners pointing menacingly at potholes to furious shopkeepers posing with overflowing dumpsters.

10. Ed Jones – guy who loves hosting has a birthday party

We all know this kind of person. Some of us live with them.

Adam Kay is performing This Is Going to Hurt as part of Melbourne international comedy festival until 21 April and at the Sydney comedy festival on 24 April
