Zach Bryan Announces North American Tour, 2 Stops in NY

zach bryan tour albany ny

2022 was a particularly prolific year for rising country star Zach Bryan and he’s set on riding that wave into the new year with his biggest tour yet. Bryan’s Burn Burn Burn North American Tour tour kicks off in April at the Two Step Inn Festival in Texas, and will include two shows in New York, in Albany at MVP Arena and Queens at Forest Hills Stadium.

Bryan released 2 full length albums and multiple EPs and singles, amounting to around 12 projects overall last year. His album American Heartbreak was the number one most streamed album on Spotify last year; it consists of a stunning 34 songs. But despite his impressive quantity, Zach Bryan has not abandoned quality. “From Austin” on American Heartbreak combines intense imagery and devastating lyricism. “Something In The Orange” went double platinum and scored Bryan a Grammy Award for Best Solo Country Performance.

Zach Bryan Flips Off Ticketmaster, Aims to Shut Down Scalpers on New Summer Tour

By Jon Freeman

Jon Freeman

As he promised late last year, Zach Bryan will be largely Ticketmaster-free on a sprawling tour of North America this summer. The singer-songwriter just announced dates for his headlining Burn Burn Burn American Tour 2023, which gets underway May 10 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“I’ve tried my best to make tickets as affordable as possible for the Burn Burn Burn Tour,” Bryan said in a new video making the announcement. The brief clip features comedian Theo Von spelling out the ticket-buying rules in a wack y infomercial straight out of The Office (there’s even a cameo from Kevin!).

“We’re out here fighting the good fight with these human snakes at ticketing companies and dark-art bots on the internet,” Von quips in the announcement video. “Good luck, and here’s to fair pricing for all.”

Tickets purchased through AXS can’t be sold for profit, but they can be resold for face value to other fans through the Zach Bryan AXS Marketplace. There are also a handful of non-AXS events in London, Ontario; Philadelphia; Nampa, Idaho; and Wichita, Kansas, where no resales at all will be allowed.

ABOUT ZACH BRYAN

Hailing from Oologah, Oklahoma, Zach Bryan has quietly gone from serving in the U.S. Navy to rising to the forefront of country as a captivating storyteller, tried-and-true performer, and once-in-a-generation voice without comparison. After grinding it out independently and building a devout audience one fan at a time, Bryan signed with Warner Records and arrived as country music's brightest and boldest star, and to date has tallyed over 3 billion global streams.

He notably earned Gold certified singles "Condemned", "Letting Someone Go," and "From Austin" plus platinum single, "Heading South" and now double Platinum "Something in the Orange." Bryan also topped the Billboard Country Songwriters Chart at #1. Simultaneously, AMERICAN HEARTBREAK, emerged as the "#1 Most Streamed Country Album on Spotify" for 2022.

The hit single "Something In The Orange" graced year-end lists by NPR, Associated Press, The Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Consequence, SLANT and many more.

One of the most popular names in country music is coming to the Empire State this spring.

Introducing Zach Bryan

He might be one of the most well-known/ unknown country artists in the game right now, but there's a good chance you've heard a Zach Bryan song before. If you watch the television show Yellowstone, you've heard Bryan's songs including "Condemned" from his first album DeAnn and "The Good I'll Do" from one of his latest installments called American Heartbreak.

If you have kids on TikTok then you most definitely heard, the singer's most popular song so far, with Something in The Orange playing while they scrolled. The song recently made it to Billboard's Hot 100 Top 10.

Zach Bryan Hates Ticketmaster

For the last few months, Zach has been promising fans cheaper prices when it comes to everything from tickets to merchandise. He infamously hates Ticketmaster and how they scam music lovers with hidden fees and ridiculous prices.

A live album that was recorded at Red Rocks in Colorado has properly been named: All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster.

Zach Bryan Brings the Heat to New York

On Thursday, January 19th, Zach announced the Burn, Burn, Burn tour and added a few New York stops. He'll be hitting the stage at the MVP Arena in Albany on May 26th and Forest Hills Queens on June 23rd.

His tour announcement, which features comedian Theo Von, explains that tickets will not be sold by Ticketmaster.  They also basically call the ticket service "human snakes." Tickets will be sold through AXS and will be anywhere from $40 to $130, the maximum fee is $20 and the tickets will be sold through a lottery.

Fans can register now until January 29th, 2023 on AXS.com and, if selected, will have the chance to purchase up to 4 tickets.  Another plus, tickets that are resold can only be sold at face value.

Zach Bryan is for the people! Check out the rest of the dates below:

Zach Bryan Announces 2023 North American Tour

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

The post Zach Bryan Announces 2023 North American Tour appeared first on Consequence .

Zach Bryan has taken the sentiment of his recent live album All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster one step further by sidestepping the ticket platform entirely for his newly announced 2023 North American tour. To accompany the announcement, Bryan shared a video of comedian Theo Von breaking down the relatively affordable ticket prices and his plan for avoiding the issues that plagued Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” pre-sale.

Kicking off on May 10th in Charlottesville, Virginia, the “Burn Burn Burn North American Tour” will make stops in New Orleans, Denver, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping in Kansas City on August 30th. Along the way, the country star will make appearances at Hinterland Music Festival , Summerfest, and Windy City Smokeout.

See the full itinerary below. Register for the chance to purchase tickets via Fair AXS through Sunday, January 29th at 10:00 p.m. ET. Fans who are randomly selected to purchase tickets will be notified via email starting on February 13th with instructions for how to complete their purchase, subject to availability.

Per the video, ticket prices will range from $40 to $130, with service fees capped at $10 to $20 per ticket. As an added bonus, Kevin from The Office (aka Brian Baumgartner) appears in the clip to give a “real customer testimony” before Von goes into detail about how Fair AXS works.

“We’re out here fighting the good fight with these human snakes at ticket companies and dark art bots on the internet,” Von says to close out the video. “Good luck and here’s to fair pricing for all.” Watch the clip below.

In September of last year, New Jersey Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. went after Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” model in response to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2023 tour . Just months later, the ticketing company was forced to cancel the general on-sale for Swift’s tour due to a myriad of technical issues. Ticketmaster is now facing multiple congressional inquiries due to the disastrous pre-sale for the tour, as well as  lawsuits  from Swift’s fans.

Last year, Bryan dropped one of the  best albums  of 2022 with his massive triple LP  American Heartbreak . One of the singles, “Something in the Orange,” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance and was named one of our top songs of the year.

Country star Zach Bryan is coming to Upstate New York this spring, and you won’t have to use Ticketmaster to see him.

The “Something in the Orange” singer announced his 2023 “Burn Burn Burn” tour dates Thursday, including a May 26 concert at MVP Arena in Albany. No opening act has been named for the show, which begins at 8 p.m.

Fans can register for tickets at axs.com/zachbryan until Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. and then will be notified by email beginning Feb. 13 if they have been randomly selected. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis; an invitation email does not guarantee tickets will be available.

According to WTEN , tickets purchased through AXS cannot be transferred or resold for profit. If a fan can no longer attend a show, tickets can be sold on the Zach Bryan AXS Marketplace for face value to another fan.

Bryan is refusing to use Ticketmaster, telling fans he is taking a stand against high ticket prices when he released a surprise live album, “All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster,” last month.

“Seems like there is a massive issue with fair ticket prices to live shows lately. I have met kids at my shows who have paid upwards of four hundred bucks to be there and I’m done with it,” he said on Christmas Eve. “I’ve decided to play a limited number of headline shows next year to which I’ve done all I can to make prices as cheap as possible and to prove to people tickets don’t have to cost $450 to see a good and honest show… I believe working class people should still be able to afford tickets to shows… I am so so tired of people saying things can’t be done about this massive issue while huge monopolies sit there stealing money from working class people.”

Prices have not been announced for Bryan’s Albany concert, but he promised he’d do “everything I possibly could to make tickets more affordable.”

Ticketmaster and Live Nation have faced growing criticism this past year, as tickets reached sky-high prices for artists like Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. A Senate hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday to address the issue.

“The issues within America’s ticketing industry were made painfully obvious when Ticketmaster’s website failed hundreds of thousands of fans hoping to purchase tickets for Taylor Swift’s new tour, but these problems are not new. For too long, consumers have faced high fees, long waits, and website failures, and Ticketmaster’s dominant market position means the company faces inadequate pressure to innovate and improve,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) said . “At next week’s hearing, we will examine how consolidation in the live entertainment and ticketing industries harms customers and artists alike. Without competition to incentivize better services and fair prices, we all suffer the consequences.”

Bryan, 26, is a country singer-songwriter and a U.S. Navy veteran from Oklahoma. He has released three albums and two EPs, featuring hit songs like “Heading South” and “Something in the Orange.”

Zach Bryan Announces Openers For ‘Burn, Burn, Burn’ Tour, Including Trampled By Turtles, Charles Wesley Godwin & More

zach bryan tour albany ny

Zach Bryan is bringing the best of the best along with him for his upcoming Burn, Burn, Burn tour.

He revealed on Instagram that his good friend Charles Wesley Godwin will be on the road with him, who opened up on his 2022 tour, as well as his bandmate and great artist in his own right JR Carroll, in addition to Jonathan Peyton and the most intriguing part of the lineup, Trampled By Turtles.

Needless to say, if you were lucky enough to score tickets, you’re in for an absolutely incredible show, full of great music from every single artist on the bill, as they will rotate on different dates.

And every show is already sold out, so Zach even added dates to Philadelphia, Tulsa, New York City and Duluth earlier this week.

Zach also managed to keep his word and find a way to evade going the traditional Ticketmaster route in terms of ticket sales, as he has been very publicly outspoken about his disdain for the company, opting to use private vendor AXS instead.

He shared the opening lineup in a post on Instagram earlier, adding that all venues will be checking people’s ID’s at the door to ensure that nothing shady happened with the tickets and that scalpers weren’t able to sneak in and misuse them:

“The Burn, Burn, Burn Tour is sold out. The marketplace for resale opens this Monday, February 27th. You will be able to resell your tickets for any show (except Philly, London, Nampa, & Wichita) at original face value only, and not one dollar higher.

Please also note all venues will be checking ID’s to ensure name matching is consistent. Any non-matching ID’s or scalped tickets will not be permitted entry to the venue.

AND OUR OPENERS ARE MY FAVORITE BANDS IN THE WORLD. CHARLES WESLEY GODWIN, TRAMPLED BY TURTLES, JONATHAN PEYTON & JR CARROLL.”

He also said that, while he’s certainly gotten shit for going the lottery route in an effort to ensure fair ticket prices for those fans randomly selected, he can’t wait to be out on the road playing for fans again.

Zach cautioned them to be aware of scams going on with tickets anywhere online, but especially on Instagram, as the only place you can buy verified tickets for these shows is via AXS:

“Besides all the shit I got for making prices fair, I am so insanely excited to play this year. I love all of you guys and I am so blessed.

Don’t believe anything in the comments offering tickets. I’m sorry if anyone has been confused or inconvenienced but it’s an apology I’m willing to make.

Goodnight, good riddance and God speed.”

Zach Bryan in NY: Illegal Ticket Transfer Restriction Time-Bomb?

Zach Bryan’s Burn Burn Burn tour is schedule to make its way to Albany’s MVP Arena on Friday, opening the holiday weekend. But the tour-wide effort to disable ticket resale by turning off ticket transfer could be set to cause a major clash with consumers, who may not be able to move tickets they’ve sold out to the account of those who have purchased them.

Should that be the case, it would be in violation of New York’s state law regulating ticket sales and resales. The tour allegedly ignored a similar law in Virginia , where ticket resale for a show in Charlottesville was never enabled, putting Bryan, his management, and promoter AEG in line for millions in fines if the state’s Attorney General opts to enforce the law for all 14,000+ tickets issued for that performance.

“The prohibition on transfer for the Charlottesville show clearly violated Virginia law. It was a complete affront to the Virginia lawmakers who recognized the value to fans that transferability provides as well as the harm caused by allowing a ticket issuer to control a ticket after it has been sold,” says Gary Adler of the NATB. “It was also a slap in the face of consumers. Poll after poll shows that consumers overwhelmingly say no to transfer restrictions, and believe that they paid for their tickets and they should have the freedom and choice to do what they want with them. “

Buy Sell and Go with confidence at StubHub

Friday’s show in Albany features Bryan joined by Trampled by Turtles, and has reportedly been sold out since nearly immediately after going on sal e. There is a face-value capped resale exchange available for the concert, as there has been for all concerts on the tour. But no tickets have been available on that marketplace at any point over the prior two weeks when checked for availability.

That means that consumers have almost certainly been securing tickets through traditional independent ticket resale platforms like Vivid Seats, where tickets for Friday’s show start at $157 before fees ($215 all-in), or Ticket Club, where tickets are available to members for as low as $203 .

Should the tour organizers opt against turning on transfer, many of those consumers who have bought or sold tickets through these other marketplaces are going to have major issues come Friday night, when it is impossible to deliver the tickets to the person who needs them to get in – short of giving that person access to the account in which the tickets reside, which is a major security concern for all involved (and risky for anyone who has tickets to different shows in that account).

Messaging regarding the ticket transfer restriction for the tour in states where the law protects consumer rights to use, sell, or transfer tickets they’ve purchased as they see fit, has been terribly unclear. After enormous fanfare indicating the tour’s plan to restrict consumer tickets to the account they were purchased from, save for the closed AXS resale system, fine print shows that resale and transfer might have to be allowed in some states. But on the event page for MVP Arena , the ticket restrictions appear to be clearly stated:

Tickets purchased on AXS cannot be transferred or resold for profit. If a fan can no longer attend the show, tickets can be sold on the Zach Bryan AXS Marketplace for face value to another fan.

TicketNews has repeatedly contacted Bryan’s tour management, as well as AEG and its ticketing subsidiary AXS, asking for clarification on their ticket resale or transfer policy relative to states like Virginia, New York, and Colorado when state law makes closed loop resale systems illegal. No response has yet been received.

An email forwarded to TicketNews by a consumer appears to confirm that ticket transfer will not be allowed for the New York shows. A fan who filed a complaint over the transfer restriction for a later show in New York with the Better Business Bureau received a reply from AXS that stated the promoter is not turning on ticket transfer for any show on the tour, regardless of the location or state laws involved.

Learn more about the Insomniac web browser, designed for ticket resale professionals

New York’s regulations surrounding allowed restrictions on tickets sold for events in the state are clear: It is prohibited for “any operator of a place of entertainment or operators agent, to:

(c) (c) employ a paperless ticketing system unless the consumer is given an option to purchase paperless tickets that the  consumer can transfer at any price, and at any time, and without additional fees, independent of the operator or operator’s agent. Notwithstanding the foregoing, an operator or operator’s agent may employ a paperless ticketing system that does not allow for independent transferability of paperless tickets only if the consumer is offered an option at the time of initial sale to purchase the same tickets in some other form that is transferrable independent of the operator or operator’s agent including, but not limited to, paper tickets or e-tickets.

( NY Chapter 11-C, Title G, Article 25.30 )

Violations of the provision banning restrictive ticketing systems are $250 per violation, which can be doubled if the violator is a corporation. Assuming a full capacity show of 17,500 (Bryan’s tour claimed it was sold out almost immediately), that means penalties could reach as high as $8.75 million for Friday, plus another $13 million if the tour continues to keep transfer locked down against state law for June stops at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens.

Should ticket transfer remain shut off for the Albany or Forest Hills shows, the New York Attorney General’s office told TicketNews that consumers can file a complaint with their office using their website here . They were unable to comment on any other aspect of this story or the laws in question.

Zach Bryan Shares Inside Look At Life On Tour

Z ach Bryan has been out on the road for his Quittin’ Time Tour. It’s a major undertaking that will see him play shows across the next few months. Recently, Bryan shared an inside look with his followers of life on the road. So, what did he have to say?

Zach Bryan Kicked Off Quittin’ Time Tour With A Bang

Zach Bryan spent a lot of time promoting his Quittin’ Time Tour. This is a major tour for him, his band, and his crew. The tour opened with a memorable turn of events on opening night. Kacey Musgraves was on hand to join Zach Bryan on stage to perform their Grammy-winning duet, I Remember Everything .

This song has been a major hit for Bryan. Winning a Grammy means it also caught the attention of more than just his fans, too. As another surprise, Zach Bryan brought a fan out to the stage in Alabama to sing the same Grammy-winning duet. It’s personal touches like this that continue to endear Zach Bryan to his fans.

Zach Bryan Fans Love His Authenticity

Even though Zach Bryan is selling out major arenas on his Quittin’ Time Tour, one of the things that his fans love about him is his authenticity. As one example, he listened to fan input when it came to putting together the setlist for this current tour. Bryan could very easily play whatever he wants. However, he still took the time to genuinely consider input from his fans.

Another example is when he brought Alabama singer/songwriter Hannah McFarland to the stage to perform his hit song. Bryan removed the duet from the setlist until fans started recording covers of I Remember Everything to convince him to bring it back. Ultimately, McFarland’s cover impressed him the most , and he invited her to the stage to perform with him.

It’s this kind of genuine character that resonates with Bryan fans. No matter how big he has gotten, he never forgets about his fans, or the people who helped him get to where he is today.

I Remember Everything Singer Shares Inside Look At Life On The Road

In the middle of his Quittin’ Time Tour, Zach Bryan recently gave his many followers an inside look at life on the road. The singer shared a series of candid pics on tour. It’s a great way for Bryan fans to see behind the curtain, and to catch a glimpse of what life is like out on the road.

Bryan and his crew have a little bit of time off before resuming shows in cities across America. With this time off to “take a breath,” Bryan has a little bit of downtime to reflect on the journey so far. He thanked all of his fans who came out to shows in March. The Quittin’ Time Tour is only a month in, and already, it has been a major success.

With the Quittin’ Time Tour continuing all the way through December, Bryan fans still have plenty of time to catch him out on the road.
