I stayed here on 9th Jan 2017 with my wife. Both 63 yrs. Nice place to stay for a couple of days. Manoj and his team are striving to make your stay comfortable. The place is a little small for agritourism. The library that they have maintained is very good. It is a treat for those who love books. It is a little pricy when compared with others in the class. I wish them well. I will visit again.

Swyambhu Ganpati Temple

Ganpatipule is a town on the Konkan Coast of western India. It’s known for its beaches, such as Ganpatipule Beach and nearby Aare Ware Beach. On Ganpatipule Beach, the centuries-old Swayambhu Ganpati Temple is a pilgrimage site and houses a large orange statue of Ganesh. Prachin Konkan is an open-air museum with models depicting traditional Konkan life. Jaigad Fort and a British-built lighthouse lie to the north. The 400-year-old Ganpati idol at Ganpatipule is said to have sprung up from the soil. This deity faces the west, so as to guard the western gates, unlike deities in other Indian temples who face the east. The temple is at the base of a hill, and pilgrims walk around (pradakshina) the hill as a mark of respect.

Pawas Devasthan

Pawas, a village with captivating natural beauty. This is a prime spiritual place in Ratnagiri district due to a very long stay of Swami (saint) Swaroopanand who was a follower of Warkari Sampraday. In the premises of Swamiji’s beautiful temple at Pawas, there is a Dhyangumpha (Contemplation Room) and a Lord Ganeshji’s deity into a tree of Emlica. Swamiji’s home “Anant Niwas” is being preserved nicely by the temple trustees. The temple trustees celebrates many festivals like Swamiji’s Birth Day, Gurupoornima etc. Many followers not only from Ratnagiri but also from all parts of India believes in Swamiji’s Teachings.

Karneshwar Temple, Kasba

It is about 1000 years old Shiva temple known as Karneshwar and is situated in a small village called as Kasba near Sangameshwar on the Mumbai Ratnagiri highway. The Alaknanda, Varuna and the Shastri rivers meet at Sangameshwar. This ancient Hemadpanti style temple, has been situated for centuries at the confluence of these rivers, in the area of Sangameshwar. It is so believed that Raja Karna from the Karvir dynasty established this temple almost 1600 years ago. The Karneshwar temple is said to be one of the most beautiful temples amongst all of Konkan region.

Thibaw Palace / Point

Thibaw Palace is in Ratnagiri city is historical building. Near the Thiba Palace there is Radio center is there you can see the Thiba point. One can have a panoramic view of Someshwar creek, Bhatye bridge to pawas and Arabian sea. This palace was used for keeping the King Thibaw, last king of Burma (now Myanmar) under house arrest. Semi-circular wooden windows with beautiful curving are the main attraction of this structure. On the first floor one dancing hall with a fully marble tiles floor is in the palace. One Buddha idol is installed at the back side of the palace. This idol was brought to India by king Thibaw. Presently the palace is maintained by archaeological depth. The plans are a foot to convert the palace in to museum and providing tourist accommodation there. Thibaw palace is best situated on a hillock and panoramic view from this point is most enchanting. This is a point worth – visiting for Ratnagiri tourist.

Bhatye Beach

Bhatye Beach Bhatye is a small village very close to Ratnagiri city (approximate 1 km away). The village is well known for a mind blowing, flat sea shower. The length of the beach is approximately 1.5 kms and it’s very flat and straight. One can enjoy the Nature at its best here. The Ratnagiri light house and the famous Madavi beach of Ratnagiri city are visible from Bhatye Beach. The place is a paradise for a person who loves the Chat Items ( a famous snacks from India). All the delicious chat items are served here at reasonable cost. The Coconut Research center of Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (An Agricultural University of Konkan) is situated exactly opposite to the Bhatye beach. Visitors can the latest information about the coconut and related agricultural research. One five star hotel is very close to the beach. A famous temple of “Zari Vinayak” (Ganeshji Temple) is situated at the end of the beach. Sea waves at the time of high tide is really a breathtaking experience at Bhatye.

Tilak Smarak Mandir

It was the house of the great freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The building has a theatre & a small museum, which describes Tilak's public life.

Shri Devi Bhagwati Mandir

Ratnadurga Fort, the location of the temple, was earlier known as the Bhagwati cha killa (bhagwati's fort). And that's how the temple got its name, Sri Devi Bhagwati Mandir.
