Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris

Whether you are a die-hard Disney fan or looking for an unforgettable family adventure, picking the best time involves more than just picking a day.

This guide will be your compass, navigating you through crowd levels, weather patterns, and seasonal events.

So, get ready to unlock shorter wait times and the sweetest deals to transform your Disneyland Paris trip into a truly unforgettable experience.

Visitors’ Guide: Who Should Visit When?

Balancing crowds and weather.

If you want short wait times and a calm atmosphere, choose days outside of high season.

These are the best times of the year to visit Disneyland Paris:

Low Season  (Shoulder Seasons):

The shoulder seasons are mid-January to early March (excluding the tail end of winter holidays) and mid-April to mid-May.

These calmer months provide the shortest wait times for rides and entertainment.

Remember: Some entertainment alternatives will be restricted because weather will be chilly and unpredictable, particularly between January and March.

Sunny Skies & Events:

If sunshine and festive cheer are your priorities, September to early December (excluding school holidays) might be ideal.

Enjoy pleasant weather and witness the park adorned in its seasonal best.

Remember: These periods can be busier, with potentially higher prices.

Summer Fun:

School’s out, and Disneyland Paris bursts with life during the summer months.

July and August are the peak Disneyland Paris visiting seasons. While the atmosphere is exciting, wait times will be lengthy.

If you pick this season to visit the attraction, plan to arrive on weekdays and early in the morning.

Remember: There will be large crowds and increased pricing during these months.

Note: Confused about which Disneyland Paris ticket gives the most discounts in the shoulder season? We have got you covered!

Visiting During Festivities: Seasons of Excitement

While low crowds are appealing, participating in special events adds a distinct character to your trip.

Some of the best seasonal festivities at Disneyland Paris are as follows:

Halloween Season (October)

October transforms the theme park into a hauntingly wonderful refuge.

It is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris if you like a vivacious experience with a lot more people than the off seasons.

Expect greater crowds and significantly longer wait times than in the off-season.

Experience Disney’s spooky side with themed decor, parades , performances, and character interactions with Disney villains.

Christmas Season (November to December)

Christmas brings magic to Disneyland Paris from November to December.

While gorgeous decorations and holiday entertainment abound, be ready for peak season.

Expect more people and lengthier lines for rides and attractions.

However, the Christmas parade , unique character meet-and-greets with Santa and pals, and wonderful ambiance make it an unforgettable festive experience.

Summer Season (July and August)

Summer is a colorful combination of sunlight, longer park hours , and unique activities.

While July and August have the longest days, be prepared for peak season crowds and higher wait times for rides and attractions .

The Magical Night Time Ceremony brings the park to life with magnificent pyrotechnics and projections.

At the same time, themed pool parties at Disney Hotels provide a refreshing retreat.

Visiting on weekdays

While weekends tend to attract heavier people, visiting on weekdays will be a more relaxing and delightful experience.

Whether you’re planning a sudden trip or a long-awaited holiday, weekdays are the best time to visit Disneyland Paris.

Why weekdays?

Fewer Lines: With lower wait times for attractions , rides , and character meet-and-greets, you can make the most of your time in the park.

Less Crowded: Enjoy a more peaceful ambiance with fewer guests, giving you plenty of room to explore, dine, and snap photographs without feeling overwhelmed.

Special Offers: Take advantage of weekday savings on Disneyland tickets , hotels, and food, allowing you to save money while experiencing all that the park has to offer.

Best Time of Day to Visit

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

The best time of day to visit the park is when lines for attractions tend to be smaller crowds and rides have short waiting times .

Early mornings

Arriving early, before the park opens at about 8:30 am, is preferable.

You will get a good location in line for popular rides and escape the crowds, especially during busy seasons.

Late afternoons

After the lunch rush, lines begin to thin out again after the lunch rush, usually between 2 pm and 4 pm.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch and return to the rides when the crowds decrease.

This event is a must-see for fans of all ages.

Crowd Levels

Understanding crowd levels is crucial when planning your visit to Disneyland Paris. Knowing when the park is likely to be busy or less crowded can significantly impact your overall experience.

The low season in Disneyland Paris typically falls during non-holiday weekdays in the months of January, February, March, September, October, and November. During this time, the park tends to be less crowded, allowing you to enjoy shorter wait times for attractions and a more relaxed atmosphere. However, it’s important to note that some attractions and shows may have limited availability due to maintenance or refurbishment during this period.

Shoulder Season

The shoulder season refers to the periods just before and after the peak season. In Disneyland Paris, the shoulder seasons occur in April, May, June, and early July, as well as in late August and December. During these times, the crowds are generally more manageable compared to the peak season, allowing for shorter wait times and a more enjoyable visit.

Peak Season

The peak season in Disneyland Paris is characterized by the highest attendance levels and typically occurs during school vacations and major holidays. The summer months, specifically July and August, as well as the weeks surrounding Christmas and New Year, are considered peak season. During this time, the park experiences larger crowds, longer wait times, and increased competition for dining and entertainment options. It’s essential to plan ahead and be prepared for more significant crowds if you choose to visit during the peak season.

Weather in Disneyland Paris

Understanding the weather conditions in Disneyland Paris can help you pack appropriately and plan your daily activities.

Spring Weather

In spring, the weather in Disneyland Paris is generally mild and pleasant. The temperatures range from around 10 to 20 degrees Celsius (50 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit). While still somewhat unpredictable, the spring season offers mostly comfortable conditions for exploring the park.

Summer Weather

Summer in Disneyland Paris features warmer temperatures, with averages ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius (68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit). However, heatwaves and occasional rain showers are not uncommon during this time. It’s advisable to wear sunscreen, dress in lightweight clothing, and stay hydrated to beat the summer heat.

Autumn Weather

Autumn brings cooler temperatures to Disneyland Paris, ranging from approximately 10 to 15 degrees Celsius (50 to 59 degrees Fahrenheit). The weather can be quite variable, with the possibility of both sunny and rainy days. Layered clothing and a light jacket are recommended for this time of year to ensure comfort throughout your visit.

Winter Weather

Winter in Disneyland Paris is chilly, with temperatures ranging from around 2 to 7 degrees Celsius (36 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit). Park Hours and Capacity

Understanding the park’s opening hours and capacity can help you plan your visit and make the most out of your time in Disneyland Paris.

Opening Hours

Disneyland Paris operating hours vary depending on the season and day of the week. Generally, the parks open between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM and close between 6:00 PM and midnight. It’s important to check the official Disneyland Paris website or app closer to your visit to confirm the opening and closing times for the specific date you plan to visit.

Park Capacity

Disneyland Paris has a maximum capacity limit that ensures the safety and enjoyment of all guests. During exceptionally busy periods, the park may reach or even exceed this capacity, resulting in temporary closure. To avoid disappointment, it’s advisable to arrive early or consider visiting during off-peak times when the park is less likely to reach capacity.

Weekdays vs. Weekends

When planning your trip to Disneyland Paris, consider whether you prefer visiting on weekdays or weekends.

Weekdays generally offer a more relaxed and less crowded park experience, especially during the low and shoulder seasons. Lines for attractions tend to be shorter, and dining options are more readily available. However, keep in mind that some shows or entertainment options may have limited schedules or availability on weekdays.

Weekends, on the other hand, tend to be busier, particularly during the peak season and special events. Families and local visitors often choose weekends for their Disneyland Paris adventures. If you plan to visit on a weekend, arriving early and utilizing FastPass can help maximize your experience despite the larger crowds.

Tips for Visiting

To make your visit to Disneyland Paris truly memorable and hassle-free, here are some valuable tips to keep in mind:

Book in Advance

Booking your tickets, accommodations, and dining reservations well in advance can save you time and ensure you secure your preferred options. Many popular dining establishments and experiences can sell out quickly, especially during peak seasons and special events.

Use FastPass

FastPass is a fantastic tool that allows you to reserve access to certain attractions, reducing your waiting time. Take advantage of this free service by obtaining FastPass tickets for your favorite rides early in the day. Our 5 best times to Visit Disneyland Paris

I’ll do a month-by-month run-through in a moment but, first, I wanted to share some of our favourite times to visit Disneyland Paris.

1 | Avoid the Crowds (mid-January to early February)

After the Christmas and New Year crowds disperse in the first week, the remainder of January is one of the quietest times in the park. With crowds and wait times at their lowest you can also benefit from tickets and accommodation which are typically less expensive at this time of year.

Best time to visit Disneyland Paris tip: we visited at the end of Janaury 2024 and had a wonderful time. It was cold but the sun was shining and we loved the experience of lower crowds in the parks. The kids wore warm hats and coats and they had thermal leggings under their trousers – they didn’t complain about the cold. We’ve booked to return at the same time next year!

Where to Meet Characters in Disneyland Paris

We visited during Halloween and Disneyland Paris was decorated with pumpkins, ghouls and dancing skeletons! We met villains including Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil and Maleficent and Jake Skellington greeted guests outside Phantom Manor. Other characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse are dressed for the occasion at their meet and greets. There’s also a spectacular Halloween parade and special Halloween-themed treats.

3 Key Factors in Crowds and Accommodation/Ticket Costs at Disneyland Paris

No matter when you plan to visit, there are 3 key things to take into account when planning your visit:

1 | Secure the Best Price by Booking Early

One of the most important things to remember when booking a visit to Disneyland Paris is to BOOK EARLY! The hotel and ticket packages tend to be at their least expensive when they are first released and, as availability decreases, the prices continue to increase. So even if you’re planning to visit during typical lower-cost, off-peak periods, you will still want to reserve as early as possible so you can benefit from the best price.

Disneyland Paris has an amazing trip planner which shows a day by day view of pricing and availability in the Disney hotels – it is amazing for comparing daily prices across weeks and months and we always use it to find the best prices for our upcoming trips – check out the Disneyland Paris price calendar here !

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris tip: we’ve paid more for last minute off-peak reservations than when we’ve planned ahead and reserved a hotel and tickets package during the most popular times in the park. We always try and reserve ahead of time as much as possible!

Disneyland Paris Where to See Mickey Mouse

2 | Weekdays are generally quieter than weekends

With the exception of public holidays and big events (for example, the launch of a new show or seasonal celebration), weekdays tend to be quieter than weekends. This results in lower wait times and lower prices than over weekends.

3 | School Holidays are Busier (remember to consider French school holidays!)

As you might expect, school holidays are among the busiest times in Disneyland Paris. I’ve outlined the French and UK school holidays in our month-by-month planner below – we really love visiting during the May mid-term as this is one of the few times when the UK and French school holidays don’t overlap so the parks might be a little less busy.

Best Times to Visit Disneyland Paris: Month by Month

If you are trying to decide on the best time to visit Disneyland Paris then this month-to-month guide will help you with your planning:

Weather: cold and/or wet Opening Hours: In 2023, Disneyland Park closed at 8pm on weekdays, 10pm on Saturdays and 9pm Sundays. Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 7pm on weekdays and 9pm on weekends

  • First week of January (High Crowds): Disneyland Paris’ Christmas celebrations typically wrap up at the end of the first week of January. With most schools still closed for the Christmas holidays, this week is typically very busy and tickets and accommodation are more expensive.
  • Rest of the month: a great time to visit if you value lower crowds, wait times and prices. Some attractions may be closed and shows on hiatus as a result but this also happens throughout the year – you can check upcoming attraction closures for the next 2 months on the Disneyland Paris website here .

Where to Meet Characters in Disneyland Paris

Weather: cold and/or wet Opening Hours: In 2023, Disneyland Park closed at 8pm and Walt Disney Studios Park at 7pm for the first few days of February. For the rest of the month, Disneyland Paris Park closed at 10pm and Walt Disney Studios Park at 9pm.

  • First week of February: similar to mid/late January. It is a great time to visit if you value lower crowds, wait times and prices. Some attractions may be closed and shows on hiatus as a result but this also happens throughout the year
  • Rest of Month: the remainder of February is busier and this is mostly driven by French and UK school holidays. French schools have a 2-week winter holiday which takes place across 4 weeks from February 11 2024 to March 10 2024 (there are 3 French school zones and they each take a different 2-week block so it stretches to 4 weeks in total). Weather: warmer days Opening Hours: In 2023, Disneyland Park closed at 11pm and Walt Disney Studios Park closed at 10pm.

  • April: the Easter holidays mean crowds will likely be high in the first week of April. The French School Spring Holidays begin immediately after (April 7 2024 to May 5 2024) so the entire month is likely to be busy in 2024.

French schools close for their All Saints Holidays (October 22 to November 5 2023) and UK schools close for Autumn Midterm at the end of the month so it’s an optimum time to visit for many families. We still wholeheartedly recommend visiting during October as Disneyland Paris celebrates Halloween in style!

  • First week in November: with schools closed and the Halloween celebrations continuing, this is a busy week in Disneyland Paris.
  • November 6 to November 10: the period between the Halloween and Christmas festivities is generally quieter than the rest of the month. It’s a great time to visit in terms of pricing and crowds but we’d recommend that you try and overlap part of the stay with either Christmas or Halloween season as the Disneyland Paris festivities are just too good to miss!
  • November 11 onwards: prices and crowds increase again with the Christmas festivities kicking off. It’s a magical time to visit and we think it’s more than worth the longer wait times and higher prices.

  • Early to Mid-December: weekdays tend to be quieter and accommodation is less expensive on these nights so, if you want to celebrate the Christmas season at Disneyland Paris, take advantage if you can! Weekends typically see high crowds and high pricing.
  • Late December: peak, peak season at Disneyland Paris. Expect high crowds and prices but it’s worth it to celebrate the magic of Christmas at Disneyland Paris.

Hope you all have a fantastic time x

Hi, thanks for the great information. Would you purchase Disney Premier Access Ultimate passes if visiting Disneyland Paris in late June before the local kids go on summer holidays, or would the queues be reasonable with normal passes? Thanks, Constantine.

Hi Constantine

It’s never really quiet any more at any of the Disney Parks! If you are going for a single day without Extra Magic Hour I’d definitely be tempted with the Premier Passes but if you have a few days with Extra Magic Hour (you get this if you are staying onsite at a Disney Hotel – you can check them out on the official website here) the regular lines will should be fine.

There is so much to love about Paris, from the iconic Eiffel Tower to the delectable French cuisine, and the majestic Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Park serve as the perfect cherry on top.

Known as the city of love and lights, Paris captivates visitors and locals alike with its charm. One way to enhance your Parisian experience is by including a visit to the beloved Disneyland.

As a Certified Disney Travel Agent, I know the best time to visit Disneyland Paris, including the best rides to go on, where to stay, and many other key considerations to take into account in order to make your time at Disneyland extra memorable.

Continue reading below as I dive into my expert knowledge on the best time to visit Disneyland Paris.

Colorful fireworks at Disneyland, lighting up the night sky with a spectacular display of vibrant colors and patterns, creating a magical and unforgettable experience against the backdrop of the iconic Disneyland castle.

Best Time To Visit Disneyland Paris

Disneyland is one of Paris’ most popular theme parks. Known for its thrilling rides, abundance of Disney characters, special events and celebrations, and overall incredible atmosphere, it’s important to know when the best and worst time to visit the Disneyland Resort is so that you have the best time possible.

Disneyland Paris during January one of the best time to visit disneyland paris. The entrance to Disneyland Paris, bustling with excited visitors and featuring a grand, Disney-themed gateway, where families and friends gather, ready to embark on a magical adventure in the world of Disney.

Some of the winter months are typically considered to be Disneyland Paris’ off-season. During this time, you can generally expect fewer crowds and not as many long lines.

You will want to try and avoid the first week of January, however, due to the Christmas celebrations and New Year festivities that bring along more people and long waits.

During the month of January, you can expect the weather to be between the upper 30s and mid-40s in Fahrenheit. If you don’t mind the chilly temperatures, this is a great time to visit Disney Park in Paris.

The beginning of February is another great time to visit the Disney theme park. Similarly to January, if you don’t mind the frigid weather, this is a great time to explore Disney. During February, you can expect the weather to range between the upper 30s and upper 40s in Fahrenheit.

Towards the middle and latter end of February, many French and other European schools take off for winter holidays so Disney does tend to get busier during this time period. However, the crowds are still much less than during the peak season.

March is generally a fantastic time to visit Disneyland Paris. You may still experience a few crowds during the beginning of the month due to some European schools still having off for the winter holiday, but visiting during the middle and late March are great times to explore the park.

The weather starts to warm up a bit, and the crowds are relatively low during this timeframe. You can expect the weather to be between the low 40s and mid-50s in Fahrenheit.

It’s important to note that Easter is on March 31st, 2024, so you can expect heightened crowds during the Easter holiday, so I would avoid visiting during this time.

April is an exciting time in Paris as the weather begins to warm up and flowers start to bloom. However, I would avoid visiting Disneyland Paris during this time.

Easter typically brings plenty of crowds to the Disney parks , and the French School Holidays begin following Easter. This means that Disneyland Paris is likely to fill up with many French and European families looking for something fun to do throughout the month.

If you are unable to avoid visiting during April, no worries. The park still has so much to offer, but you can expect increased crowds and lines during this time. Fortunately, the weather is beginning to shift from the chilly temperatures to a bit warmer.

You can generally expect temperatures between the upper 40s and lower 60s Fahrenheit, making it not too bad to hang out in the lines.

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

Visiting Disneyland Paris in May is fantastic. The weather is warming up, and the flowers are blossoming everywhere.

The crowds are settling down after the spring holidays, making it an ideal time to experience the theme park. During May, temperatures usually range from the low 50s to the upper 60s in Fahrenheit.

June is another phenomenal time to visit Disneyland. The weather is warm, and the crowds are generally lighter.

For the summer months, I recommend planning your visit on weekdays instead of weekends, but overall, it’s a wonderful time to enjoy the park. You can typically expect temperatures between the upper 50s and mid-70s Fahrenheit during this month.

July is one of the warmest months to explore Paris and Disneyland. Expect more crowds, especially on Bastille Day, which falls on July 14th, 2024. For a more comfortable experience with shorter lines, I suggest planning your visit during the spring or fall.

However, July can still be enjoyable if you don’t mind the warmth, and avoiding the bustling Bastille Day celebrations might be a good idea unless you’re eager to join in on the local festivities. Temperature-wise, anticipate it to be between the low 60s and high 70s in Fahrenheit in July.

Similar to July, the month of August is one of the hottest months in Paris and in Disneyland. Typically, there are more crowds at the start of August, but as the summer holidays wind down, the end of the month usually sees a decrease in visitors.

The temperatures generally range from the low 60s to the high 70s Fahrenheit.

Also, August tends to have fewer rainy days in Paris compared to other months. If you want to plan your trip to Paris and Disneyland in the summer months and you’re okay with the heat and excited about soaking up some sunshine at the parks, I suggest considering a visit in late August.

September offers a delightful opportunity to visit Disneyland Paris. You can expect warmer weather without the intense heat, and with most schools back in session, you won’t encounter the heavy crowds associated with holiday periods. Anticipate temperatures ranging between the mid-50s and low 70s Fahrenheit.

Disneyland Paris in November at night, illuminated by twinkling lights and adorned with festive pumpkins, creating a magical and slightly spooky atmosphere, blending the charm of autumn with the anticipation of the holiday season.

The month of October is usually bustling as Disney starts its Halloween season. I would generally suggest steering clear of this month due to the large number of guests and extended wait times for rides.

However, if you’re a Halloween enthusiast, visiting during this period might be worth it because Disneyland Paris goes all out for Halloween. Expect temperatures to range between the low 50s and low 60s during this time.

Disneyland Paris in November, featuring autumnal decorations and a festive atmosphere, with the anticipation of the holiday season beginning to sparkle throughout the park, offering a unique and enchanting experience.

November tends to be quite busy at Disneyland Park. The month kicks off with the conclusion of Halloween celebrations and transitions into the Christmas season, drawing substantial crowds. Anticipate temperatures ranging between the low 40s and low 50s during this period.

Disneyland Paris in December, transformed into a winter wonderland with festive decorations and seasonal displays, creating a magical and enchanting holiday atmosphere for visitors.

The holiday season, especially in December, is a peak period for visitors at Disneyland Paris. Many flock to the park to celebrate Christmas amidst the festive decorations and joyous festivities, so you can expect the crowd levels to be high.

December is one of the busiest months to visit, but for Christmas enthusiasts, the spectacle and celebrations make it a worthwhile visit.

Temperatures are likely to range between the upper 30s and upper 40s during this season. Keep in mind that ticket prices and accommodations tend to be at their highest during this time, given the popularity of spending the holiday season at Disney.

Top Tips For Visiting Disneyland Paris

There are many different tips and considerations to take into account when planning your trip to Disneyland. Check out some of my top pointers below.

Check For Seasonal Events

There are countless seasonal events that Disney hosts. They host events like Halloween celebrations, Christmas festivities, and many other seasonal celebrations. I recommend checking their calendar in advance so that you are aware of each one.

If shorter wait times are important to you, I recommend scheduling your trip to Disney when these events are not being held so that you can avoid the large crowds.

However, if you want to celebrate one of these holidays at Disney, then make sure to plan your trip accordingly so that you can experience Disney in full holiday mode.

Try To Avoid French Public Holidays

During most French public holidays, children are on break from school, and many parents also have time off from work. Therefore, you can anticipate significant crowds during these periods, making them one of the busiest times to visit Disneyland Paris.

Arrive at the Park Early

One of the most important things that I have learned is to arrive at the park close to opening hours. Arriving early provides you with the opportunity to enjoy the park in the morning, avoiding the sizable crowds that typically gather in the afternoon.

I suggest prioritizing popular rides during the early hours to bypass lengthy queues. Arriving at the park early also allows you to truly spend the full day soaking up the Disney magic.

Consider Visiting Mid-Week

The best days of the week to visit Disney are typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Visiting during mid-week is an excellent way to experience fewer crowds, and sometimes, you will even have access to cheaper park tickets and more accommodation deals.

Disneyland Paris Weather Advice – When is the best time to holiday in Paris?

The weather at Disneyland Paris can make a big difference to your holiday. Like the UK, Paris has four distinct seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. It experiences an average of about 200 days of sunshine per year and runs similar to what we experience here in the UK. The temperature in Paris varies quite a bit depending on the season. In winter, temperatures can go as low as -5 degrees Celsius but in summer they can reach up to 30 degrees Celsius, and I have even experienced them surpassing Orlando! Disneyland Paris also experiences a fair amount of rainfall, so it’s best to pack some rain gear if you’re visiting during the wetter months.

Disneyland Paris Disneyland Hotel in Winter

Disneyland Paris in January

Average temperature 1 – 7°c

Disneyland Paris is a great place to visit any time of year, but it can be especially beautiful during winter when the resort is covered in snow! It's personally one of my favourite times to visit! The average temperature in Paris in January is about 2ºc, so it’s important to pack warm clothes if you’re visiting during that time. There’s usually not a lot of sunshine during winter in Paris, so you’ll want to bring an umbrella or raincoat as well, just in case!

Expect low crowds throughout the month, other than the few days after the New Year and 5th which is the Three Kings Festival, but Christmas does usually run through that first week so it's a great time to visit!

Disneyland Paris in February

Average temperature 2 – 8°c

In February, Paris experiences cold temperatures with an average of about 5ºc. Although there isn’t much sun this month, Disneyland Paris is still a beautiful place to visit and it’s one of the quietest British half-terms to visit.

Winter is a great time to visit Disneyland Paris with kids, as the parks are equipped for cold weather. Almost all entertainment continues including character meets, you can easily get hot drinks and hot delicious crepes and waffles. Another perk is the fireworks tend to happen a lot earlier which is great if you have small kids who tire easily!

Disneyland Paris in Winter

Disneyland Paris in March

Average temperature 3 – 12°c

Much like the UK, March is a rather wet month in Paris, with on average 8 days of rainfall. However, there’s still plenty of good weather to enjoy and the temperatures are mild, with highs of 12ºc and lows of 3ºc. This is a great time to visit Paris if you don’t mind a bit of rain!

It’s the last month of the Winter pricing season and is popular with visitors wanting lower prices and moderate weather. Weekends can start to become very busy.

Disneyland Paris in April

Average temperature 6 – 15°c

The weather at Disneyland Paris in April is usually mild with average temperatures of around 11ºc. However, there can be highs as warm as 16ºc during the day. This is another rainy month, so be sure to pack your raincoat! Although it’s not as warm as some of the other months, Paris is still a beautiful place to visit and enjoy all the sights and sounds the city has to offer.

Disneyland Paris in July & August

Average Temperature 15 – 24°c

July & August are usually the hottest months of the year in Paris, with average temperatures ranging from 20ºc to 24ºc. There can be highs that surpass 30ºc as seen over the last few years with European heatwaves. It's important to remember in these times of hot weather that like the UK, Disneyland Paris isn't really prepared and there isn't a lot of air conditioning.

However, Disneyland Paris is a beautiful place to visit any time of year, but it’s especially lovely during the summer when the parks are bustling with tourists and the weather is hot and sunny , you are on holiday after all, you probably want to see the sun!

French schools break up earlier than in Britain so expect crowds early in July. Avoid 14th July as it’s Bastille Day and the parks are swamped. Expect large crowds and high prices, although things tend to get better crowd wise later into August.

In Paris, September is usually a mild month with average temperatures of around 17ºc. There can be highs as warm as 20 ºc and lows as cool as 12ºc. September usually sees about 6 rainy days and is typically the driest month of the year in Paris so a great time to visit if you want to avoid rain!

After the crowds of the summer and before Halloween, the parks are quite quiet.

Disneyland Paris Sleeping Beauty Castle in Autumn

Disneyland Paris in October

Average temperature 9 – 17°c

Paris in October is one of the most beautiful times of year to visit. The average temperature is usually around 12ºc, but can range from highs of 16ºc to lows of 9ºc or even colder towards Halloween. There is usually an average of 8 rainy days in Paris this month, but these are short showers. If you venture into Paris itself the leaves are changing colors and the city is a beautiful sight to behold. Be sure to pack a coat though, as it can get a bit chilly at night.

October is a very, very busy month at Disneyland Paris. Halloween is an extremely busy season as it's very popular. You don't need to pay for extra tickets to experience the festivities as you would in the US parks! Expect large crowds and high prices during the half terms and over the weekends.

Disneyland Paris in November

Average temperature 5 – 11°c

In Paris, November is usually a mild month with average temperatures of around 8ºc. There can be highs as warm as 11ºc although this is rare and it tends to be getting colder. Rainfall is average so be sure to pack an umbrella!

November sees the start of the Christmas season at Disneyland Paris and a lot of locals visit. Expect busy crowds over the weekend and quieter during the week.

Disneyland Paris Christmas Parade

Disneyland Paris in December

Average temperature 2 – 7°c

The weather at Disneyland Paris in December is cold, very similar to what you would expect here in the UK. There can be the odd high as warm as 8ºc. Paris sees an average of ten rainy days in December. Along with January and February, December is typically one of the coldest months of the year in Paris. Be sure to pack a coat and warm clothes if you’re visiting in December! But of course, it's also one of the most magical to visit!

Similar to November, expect big crowds on the weekends and often quieter during the week. The two weeks over Christmas and New Year’s Eve are amongst the busiest and most expensive.

Disneyland Paris Weather Summary

Depending on the season, the weather in Paris can vary greatly. However, Paris is a beautiful city to visit any time of year and you should always pack a coat as it can get chilly at night, even in the summer!

Disneyland Paris is a magical place that attracts visitors from all over the world.

Choosing the right time can make a big difference in terms of crowds, weather, and overall experience. Here are some factors to consider when deciding on the best time to visit:

If you want to avoid crowds and long waiting times, it is best to visit Disneyland Paris during the low season. This typically includes mid-January through mid-March and mid-April through mid-May. During these times, the number of guests is fairly low, which means shorter waiting times and fewer crowds.

Summer Months and School Holidays

The summer months and school holidays are the busiest times of the year at Disneyland Paris. If you don't mind the crowds, then this can be a great time to visit. However, be prepared for longer waiting times and higher prices. If you do plan to visit during the summer months or school holidays, it is recommended to book your tickets and accommodations well in advance.

Crowd Calendars

Another way to determine the best time to visit Disneyland Paris is by consulting crowd calendars. These calendars provide information on expected crowd levels for each day of the year. During these months, the weather is mild and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. However, keep in mind that this is also the busiest time of the year, so expect larger crowds and higher prices.

2. Best Day to Visit Disneyland Paris 2024

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

The best days to visit Disneyland Paris – when the number of visitors is relatively low – are Tuesday or Thursday. Some schools in Paris have Wednesdays off, which may be a good opportunity for the local kids to visit Disneyland Paris with their grandparents.

Weekends definitely attract more locals and travelers from Europe in general. Also, Disneyland Parks have extended hours during the weekends, making Saturday and Sunday more attractive for everybody.

The low season may be ideal for crowds , but there could be drawbacks to traveling at this time. The weather will be the coldest in Paris at this time of year and you may even get some snow. Also, there will be fewer scheduled shows (with the exception of the holidays) and more scheduled refurbishments resulting in some attractions being down.

High Season

The high season at Disneyland Paris would be the other months, April through October. During this time the weather will be better , there are more hours of daylight, and most entertainment and attractions will be available . Traveling during the high season will also come with higher crowds, but the good news is that compared to the US parks, Disneyland Paris does not get overly crowded.

Best Days of the Week for Low Crowds

The Disneyland Resorts in Paris are a great place to stay on your next visit to Paris.

So maybe now you have narrowed down which season to plan your trip, but when is the best day of the week to visit Disneyland Paris? In general, with any Disney park, the weekdays are the lowest crowd times while the weekends tend to draw more of the locals, which translates to higher crowds.

If you want to plan for the best days at Disneyland Paris, I suggest Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This way you are avoiding the weekend or any semi-local travelers looking for a long weekend getaway.

TIP: Disneyland Paris also offers extended evening hours on the weekends which draws European visitors that are close enough for a weekend getaway.

French Holidays 2024

When you are deciding when the best time to visit Disneyland Paris is for your family, you may want to consider what holidays are celebrated in France.

It is no surprise that there are several holidays that France has in common with other places in the world. These holidays include New Year’s, Easter, and Christmas. There are also several holidays that may be less known but could bring more people to the parks. Here’s a list of those 2024 holidays:

🔹 Labor Day (May 1, 2024)

⚜️ Victory in Europe Day (May 8, 2024)

🔹 Ascension Day (May 9, 2024)

⚜️ Whit Monday (May 20, 2024)

🔹 National Day (July 14, 2024)

⚜️Assumption of Mary (August 15, 2024)

🔹 All Saints’ Day (November 1, 2024)

⚜️ Armistice Day (November 11, 2024)

These holiday festivities may give you some other things to add to your trip to Paris. Some families may choose to avoid these times due to increased park activity.

Paris School Holidays 2024

Cinderella and Prince Charming ride through Disneyland Paris.

School holidays are also a factor when considering when is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris. Students living in Paris will have the following extended school holidays:

🔹 Winter Holiday (February 10, 2024, through February 26, 2024)

⚜️ Spring Holiday (April 6, 2024, through April 22, 2024)

🔹 Pont de l’Ascension (May 8, 2023, through May 12, 2024)

⚜️ Summer Holiday (July 6, 2024, through September 1, 2024)

🔹 All Saints Holiday (October 19, 2024, through November 4, 2024)

⚜️ Christmas Holiday (December 21, 2024, through January 5, 2025)

During these school holidays, many Parisian families take advantage of the time off and spend a day visiting the park . You will want to keep this in mind when considering the best time to plan your Disneyland Paris trip.

When NOT to Visit Disneyland Paris?

There are plenty of rides waiting during the best time to visit Disneyland Paris.

So when would NOT be a good time to visit Disneyland Paris in 2024?

I think it best to avoid the Christmas and New Year holiday weeks unless you are specifically wanting to be in the park for Christmas. With the extra holiday events such as parties, parades, and decorations, there will be increased local crowds at this time of year. Combine that with school being out for students not only in France but in other countries in Europe. I feel like this is a good time not to visit Disneyland Paris.

July and August are also particularly busy because of summer crowds. Combine this with the hot weather and the Olympics being held in Paris in 2023 and I feel like this would not be a good time to visit Disneyland Paris.

Paris Olympics 2024

It’s important to note the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris. This global event, scheduled for the summer of 2024, is set to bring an influx of visitors to the city, which could impact travel plans for those heading to Disneyland Paris.

The Olympics are a thrilling spectacle, but they also mean that Paris and its surrounding areas, including Disneyland, will be exceptionally busy. Accommodations might be harder to book, and travel through the city could see some delays due to increased traffic and security measures. If you’re planning to combine your Disney adventure with a bit of Olympic excitement, it’s wise to book your stay well in advance and prepare for a busier-than-usual atmosphere.

However, if you prefer a more relaxed visit to Disneyland Paris, where you can meander through the parks with ease and enjoy shorter wait times for your favorite rides, you might want to consider planning your trip for a different time. The post-Olympic period could offer a more tranquil experience , allowing you to fully embrace the magic of Disney without the hustle and bustle of the Olympic crowds.

Should You Visit Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris is a must-do! If you are an avid Disney parks goer like my family, then visiting Disneyland Paris is a bucket list adventure. With two different theme parks, 7 resort hotels, a golf course, and lots of shopping; there is plenty to do.

One of the reasons people like to visit Disneyland Paris is because of the unique characters and attractions. Stage shows like CineMagique and rides like Crush’s Coaster provide something new for seasoned Disney parks visitors to experience. There are also unique restaurants and snack offerings that any Disney foodie will love!

There are so many unique things to experience and enjoy on a trip to Disneyland Paris. I think it is definitely worth a visit!

Is it Safe to Travel to Disneyland Paris?

Fireworks light up the night sky during the best time to visit Disneyland Paris.

One thing that travelers may wonder is if it is safe to travel to Disneyland Paris. Traveling to a new park and a new country can be daunting for guests that may not be used to international travel.

The Disney company does a great job of assuring that their guests have a safe and enjoyable time, and the Disneyland Paris team is no different. Guests coming from the United States might feel comforted to know that every cast member in the park speaks English . When you stay at a Disneyland Paris resort, you will be tucked into the Disney bubble and will be able to move to and fro just fine.

The Basics of Disneyland Paris

For new travelers to Disneyland Paris there are a few basics you should know.

The most important thing to know is that Disneyland Paris is actually comprised of two theme parks . Disneyland Park is most comparable to the Magic Kingdom or Disneyland Park in California. The Walt Disney Studios Park is like a combination of Hollywood Studios in Orlando and California Adventure Park in Anaheim.

In addition to the two theme parks, Disneyland Paris also has 7 uniquely themed resorts for travelers to enjoy. The Sequoia Lodge is like a cozy mountain retreat. Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne gives you a glimpse into the Wild West with Woody and Jessie of Toy Story fame.

The Val d’Europe is a shopping center just 5 minutes from Disneyland Paris and is much like Disney Springs or Downtown Disney which US travelers are familiar with. This shopping center boasts more than 150 shops and 20 restaurants. You can even see all of the wonders of the ocean at SEA Life, a massive aquarium.

Weather in Disneyland Paris

Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps greet guests at Disneyland Paris.

Weather can be a huge factor to consider when looking at the best time to visit Disneyland Paris. If you are accustomed to visiting the Disney Parks in the US, then you know that for the most part, you are greeted with mild weather and sunshine.

In Disneyland Paris, winter and early spring will bring cold weather and even snow . May is statistically the month with the most rain, so that could put a damper on a Disney trip. Summer in Paris is warm, with July and August being the hottest . A fall Disneyland Paris trip would be the best time to visit if you want cool temperatures.

How Many Days in Disneyland Paris?

Because there is so much to see on a Disneyland Paris trip, I recommend at least three days there. If you are traveling a long distance and are concerned about jet lag, it might be beneficial to add an additional day for rest and enjoying resort amenities before taking on a full park day.

Additionally, if you want to take in some of the sights in Paris, you may want to add some days to your stay. Check out The Unknown Enthusiast’s 3-Day, 5-Day, and 7-Day Paris itineraries to plan your perfect days in the city!

8 Things a First-Time Disneyland Paris Visitor Should Know

Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here .

If you're taking the family to France, you might consider a visit to Disneyland Paris. As a Disney World guidebook writer and all-around Disney fanatic, a trip to Chez Mickey was high on my bucket list. Now that I'm back, I'm happy to share what a first-time visitor to Disneyland Paris needs to know.

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

Disneyland Paris Is Cheaper Than US Disney, But...

How much cheaper varies by when you go. Depending on the day you visit, one day/one park tickets can go as low as $63/day. Even peak tickets will run you $101. By comparison, tickets at Disney World start at $109 and go up to $129 on peak days.

And for anything more than a two-day visit, annual passes for Disneyland Paris look like a good deal. Annual passes for Disneyland Paris are as low as 149 euros ($170) and even the super-deluxe model is only 399 euros ($450). When buying your tickets in France, make sure to use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees .

Here's the big "but": Disneyland's FastPass system can be outrageously expensive. Disneyland Paris follows the Universal Studios model where you buy a separate FastPass that allows you a varying number of entries based on how much you pay. The bare-bones, one-time-per-ride (and not every ride) model runs $58 and it goes all the way up to $192 for just a single day.

All is not lost, though. Disneyland Paris also has the old-school, paper FastPass system. As long as you are on your game and get those FastPasses early, you can still ride everything you want to ride without spending a lot of extra money to cut the lines.

Unlike US Disney tickets, Disneyland Paris tickets are actually available through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal with transportation from Paris. However, it is not always a good value if you're only doing one park and it's offseason. I see prices at $123 (8,200 UR if you use your Chase Sapphire Reserve points). The train ride is normally less than $10 and park tickets are as low as $63. However, if you're doing a Park Hopper and peak season, it isn't a bad deal as the Chase portal charges the same price year-round. Like in the US, the park tickets coded as entertainment, not travel, for category bonus purposes.

It's Well Loved by Locals

In this way, Disneyland Paris reminds me of Disneyland in California . This means you're well served to schedule your visit for a weekday to avoid crowds. The difference between our Saturday visit and our Tuesday visit was stark. Granted, weather was partly to blame, but it's still a solid strategy to visit Disneyland Paris on Monday–Friday, if you have the option. While the park may draw lots of locals, English is spoken everywhere and much of the staff during our visit was actually British.

This was on a Saturday in winter. I can only imagine the lines peak season weekends.

It's Really Easy to Get to from Paris, But Takes an Hour

Transportation to and from Disneyland Paris is top-notch, with the RER/TGV train station stopping right at the park gates. However, if you're paying (or hoping to avoid) Paris hotel prices, it might be worth it for you to stay closer to Disneyland Paris for a night. Not only could it be cheaper, you'll be grateful not to have the long train ride back to the city after a full Disney day. If you stay at one of the six Disneyland Paris hotels, you can get into the parks an hour earlier than the general public.

Disneyland Paris Has Two Parks ... Kinda

Just as California has Disneyland and California Adventure Park, Disneyland Paris has two parks directly across from each other: Parc Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. And just as Hollywood Studios in Florida is only worth a half day ( at least until Star Wars Land opens ), a casual Disney fan could probably skip Walt Disney Studios in France. If you've only got one day, save it for Parc Disneyland.

As at Hollywood Studios in Florida, Walt Disney Studios has the Tower of Terror (officially called the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror), Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and even a version of the old "Lights, Camera, Action" stunt show.

Walt Disney Studios also has a Toy Story Playland, but the attractions pale in comparison to those at Disney World. In fact, it feels like Disney bought the Toy Story Playland rides from a roadside carnival and put on a colorful coat of paint.

There are two attractions that are distinctive for stateside visitors: Crush's Coaster, which is an indoor roller coaster based on "Finding Nemo," and Ratatouille: The Adventure, which is a trackless 3D journey through Remy's kitchen. "Ratatouille" is on its way to Epcot, so it was fun to get a preview. For that reason, more passionate Disney fans might want to plan a visit to Walt Disney Studios. However, I'd go with a Park Hopper because I don't see spending all day there.

It's Not Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom

Parc Disneyland is more like someone turned the Magic Kingdom up to 11. For instance, Phantom Manor, which looks a little like the Haunted Mansion, is more intense and darker than the hitchhiking ghosts you might be used to in Florida. Sleeping Beauty Castle can not only be toured, you can visit Maleficent locked up in the basement. Big Thunder Mountain is almost twice as long as in the US and even "It's a Small World" has a North American section that charmed all ages. And wait until I tell you about Space Mountain. (There's a reason it is on TPG 's list of best Disney rides around the world. )

The Food is Not Magical

This one surprised me, as French food usually equates to great food. Disney food ( if you know where to look) is also great . Therefore, I thought Disneyland Paris food would be great. Not so much. The snacks and meals we tried over four days ranged from "meh" to downright inedible, and they were expensive both for Paris and for a theme park.

The theme at most Disneyland Paris restaurants is "American." However, their interpretation of American is school cafeteria-level hamburgers, soggy fries and ketchup-tinged barbecue. It was sad to see the USA's varied cuisine showcased in such a sorry state. We only found one outlet in each park worth visiting again.

In Parc Disneyland I'd suggest (using the term loosely) Au Chalet de la Marionnette, a Pinocchio-themed quick service outlet. For 20 euros ($22) my daughter and I shared a fatty ham hock (pork knuckle), three mozzarella sticks, a fruit cup, a green salad and a bottle of water. The standouts were the fresh fruits and veggies.

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

In Walt Disney Studios, I'd head for the red food carts near the "Ratatouille" ride. There, we found a selection of basic, but reasonably tasty, French fast food: crepes, cheeses, soups, etc. At 7 euros ($10) my buckwheat crepe with ham, Brie, honey, arugula and walnuts wasn't a bargain, but it didn't feel like a rip-off, either.

"Rip-off" is the word that comes to mind when I review our experience at Bistrot Chez Rémy, the signature restaurant in Walt Disney Studios. While the theming — giant everything as if you're shrunk to rat size — is adorable, the only options are a set menu starting at 33 euros ($40) for adults and 19 euros ($21) for kids ages 3 to 11. While my daughter did enjoy her cod fillet and mashed potatoes, most of my tough and stringy skirt steak was left on the plate. With wine, our check was over 70 euros ($80), which cost more than every meal that we actually enjoyed in downtown Paris .

(Bistrot Chez Remy restaurant at The Walt Disney Studios park at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallee. Photo by Bertrand Guary/AFP/Getty Images)

Disney lovers are passionate about their Disney treats, be they churros or Dole Whip . Everywhere you look, there's an adorable Mickey-adorned snack at the USA parks. However, at Disneyland Paris we had to look far and wide to find anything that wasn't packaged and shipped from Florida. We finally found a stale Mickey-shaped meringue, half of which ended up in the trash can. There were adorable Yoda pistachio cookies at Walt Disney Studios, but they were there only for the park's "Legends of the Force" festival.

Finding Star Wars

In Disneyland Paris, the Force is split between the two parks, unlike other Disney Parks where Star Wars attractions are centralized. Parc Disneyland holds the Star Tours attraction and a character meet and greet, while Walt Disney Studios hosts both the live action shows and the evening "Galactic Spectacular." In other words, if you have a Star Wars fan in your midst, you can get away with only visiting Parc Disneyland without them feeling deprived.

I almost forgot to mention the best part: Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. Let me rephrase for emphasis: upside-down Star Wars Space Mountain. One-of-a-kind in the world, the Parc Disneyland version of Disney's iconic roller coaster shoots you straight into a battle where you corkscrew-dodge TIE fighters and laser beams. It simply must be experienced to be believed. All other Space Mountains will seem vanilla to me from now on.

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

Offseason Means Offseason

Park hours are significantly shorter in winter, with most days running from 10am to 6:30pm. Even within those limited hours, a number of attractions close early. We tried to ride Tower of Terror at Walt Disney Studios at 5pm and were turned away. Adding to the negatives: refurbishments. During our visit, Phantom Manor and Crush's Coaster, two A-list attractions, were closed. Plan around a month or so in advance by checking the refurbishment calendar .

The upside, of course, is that on a snowy January day we could walk onto attractions including Big Thunder Mountain, which operates even in snow. I'm telling you now that riding Big Thunder Mountain in snow was on my bucket list and I didn't even know it until it happened.

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

Bottom Line

Even a casual Disney fan will enjoy Disneyland Paris, but you shouldn't expect an exact copy of any other Disney park. The rides are more thrilling, the castle is more colorful and the experience is all-around fantastic ... as long as you don't expect gourmet cuisine or adorably Instagrammable Disney treats.

Visiting Disneyland Paris in June Tips

Looking for the best visiting Disneyland Paris in June tips? In this guide we will tell you everything that you need to know for from what it is like at Disneyland Paris in June, how crowded you can expect the parks to be, what to expect from the weather and what to pack for Disneyland Paris in June to where to stay at Disneyland Paris in June, what to do and of course what special events are on at Disneyland Paris in June.

Table of Contents

Is Disneyland Paris open in June?

Are disneyland paris rides open in june, is disneyland paris crowded in june.

The truth is that as the weather in Paris heads towards summer, you will find that the crowds start to swell. I would say that June  is the start of the peak summer season but the crowds are definitely not at their highest in June.

Depending on the year of travel it is worth mentioning that the start of June may be crowded if the Whitsun holidays in the UK run into June which they sometimes do.

Note : it may come as no surprise that it is almost always quieter at Disneyland Paris on a weekday as opposed to the weekend (outside of holidays when all bets are off). Be sure to check out this guide of best day to visit Disneyland Paris  for more comprehensive information.

If you are traveling to Disneyland Paris with toddlers or are doing an adults only trip to Disneyland Paris and want to travel when the weather is good it may be worth considering early June once the schools have gone back from the Whitsun vacation as a good time to travel.

Are there any special events at Disneyland Paris in June

Special events are another thing that can have a huge impact on the park crowds. In June there is just one special event which could lead to additional crowds and that is Disneyland Paris Pride.

This is an additional ticketed evening event and is very popular.

In 2023 Disneyland Paris Pride will be held on 17th June 2023.

Disneyland Paris Crowd Calendar June 2023 / 2024

In France in June 2023 there are no public holidays. Therefore there is no public holidays in France to avoid in June 2023 for booking your trip to Disneyland Paris. However in some years Whit Monday may fall in June which will cause the crowds to swell.

Note: The next year Whit Monday falls in June is actually 2025 so this shouldn’t be a problem for a couple of years.

However although Whit Monday doesn’t fall in June it is worth being aware that the Whitsun UK school holidays are likely to run until June 6th in 2023 so the first week of June is likely to be very crowded.

Additionally the 17th June is likely to be crowded due to the pride celebrations. If you wish to experience Disneyland Paris during Pride then do head to the parks but be warned a lot of people love celebrating Pride in the parks.

We will update this information with the 2024 Whitsun Holiday dates once these have been formally announced. For more information on the best time to visit Disneyland Paris check out this post.

What is the Disneyland Paris in June Weather?

Weather in Disneyland Paris in June is usually comparable to that of the UK especially the UK South Coast. But for the avoidance of doubt we will go into more temperature and rain specifics which should help you plan for your Disneyland Paris trip a bit more thoroughly.

How hot is Disneyland Paris in June?

June is a pretty perfect month to visit Disneyland Paris temperature wise as the average daily temperature is around 17 C. Though it has been known to get as high as 23C and as low as 7C. In my opinion June has almost perfect weather for the parks as Disneyland Paris hasn’t got too hot yet – like it can in August .

Does it rain at Disneyland Paris in June?

The truth is you can experience rain at Disneyland Paris in any month with roughly 9 rain days a month. But the good news is that the rain should have little impact on your trip.

Rides only shut in extreme and heavy rain or thunder storms where lightening is a risk. This is unlikely to happen in June but if it does the closure is likely to be reasonable brief.

Remember if your visit to Disneyland Paris spreads over two months be sure to check out our other monthly guide for further weather and special event information:

What to Wear to Disneyland Paris in June

As the temperature starts to heat up in June your packing list will begin to transition from spring clothes to summer clothes. I recommend picking lighter weight trousers over jeans and if you forecast is particularly high you may want to add a pair of shorts to the packing list too.

I would also add a few short sleeve tees or maybe even a tank top for those traveling towards the end of the month. But never go into the parks without hoodies or jumpers especially if you plan to stay in the park all day to watch the fireworks and illuminations.

Visiting Disneyland Paris in June / Disneyland Paris with toddlers

If you have little ones traveling with you I recommend the same sort of clothes and maybe a light summer dress for girls. Also if you have kids who want to dress up for visiting the parks – like mine insist on doing whatever the weather I recommend picking ones that aren’t going to make them too hot but that can still have a hoodie or layer put over.

Some of my little one’s favourite warm weather Disney costumes include Rapunzel, Ariel, Mirabelle and tinkerbelle.   Click here to shop good value costumes

Top Tip: Be sure to bring costumes from home or buy in advance. You will pay a large premium for buying costumes on site particularly if you are at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Is it worth going to Disneyland Paris in June?

Visiting disneyland paris in june tips, best places to stay at disneyland paris in june.

If your Disneyland Paris budget will stretch to it then we recommend staying on site while at Disneyland Paris. The reasons for this are because of the extra perks being an on-site guest gets you.

These can be summarised as

  • easiest accessibility to the parks – either waking distance or shuttle bus is provided to onsite guests.
  • Amenities – some of the on site hotels have swimming pools (the more high end ones) – which are great to relax in after long days in the park especially in the summer when the parks get v hot.
  • Meet and Greets – usually in the morning and evening. It will be one character – you won’t be told who though usually it is one of the fab six, and they will be available to meet in the foyer. The queues here are much less than in the park so a great way to adding some autographs to your Disney autograph book .
  • Early Magic Hours – you get in the parks earlier than general public which optimises your time in the park and has shorter queue times.

Best things to do at Disneyland Paris in June

The parades.

Is Disneyland Paris crowded in April

This is another must whatever time of year you visit. I find June is one of the best times to watch the parades as you are unlikely to get wet while waiting but the sun is not at its strongest – let me tell you waiting for the afternoon parade in August can be a hot and sticky situation.

Watch Mickey and the magician

Mickey and the Magician is my favorite show in the park and is top of my Disneyland Paris Bucket list . The show is on at the Walt Disney Studios and usually runs February – September.   If this is on during your visit in June be sure to add this to your itinerary.

Explore the Castle

Park opening times through the year are dependent on the Disneyland Paris crowd level expectancy, and also daylight hours.

You’ll discover the fireworks and park closure is earlier during the Winter months between November and March, than April through to October.

The weather in France is generally typically slightly warmer than the UK’s weather during the year. However the weather in Paris, France and London, England can mirror each other quite well.

If you’re visiting Disneyland Paris from the UK, pack according to the season you’d expect in the UK and you’re on the right track.

If you are looking for the quietest time to go to Disneyland Paris , then January is a great month to visit. Generally the Disneyland Paris in January crowds are lower as families aren’t thinking of taking a holiday just after the Christmas season.

Bear in mind it’s going to be cold in January at Disneyland Paris, so you’ll want to wrap up warm! Think layers, as there aren’t too many sheltered places around the parks. Once the cold gets through your clothes it can be difficult to warm up again.

A great tip is to take a break during the day if you’re staying in an onsite hotel and go back for a rest and to warm up. Maybe grab a hot chocolate, or warm drink.

Disneyland Paris In February

A school half term break falls in February. Usually somewhere in the middle around Valentine’s Day for UK schools. French schools have a Winter holiday during February that lasts for around two weeks, generally around the last two weeks in the month.

Factor this decision in when booking your break to Disneyland Paris in February, as the crowds will be a lot larger during the UK school half term break.

The weather in February will still be cold, and again like visiting in January, you’ll want to wrap up warm and wear lots of layers.

That’s not to say you can’t still have a good time at Disneyland Paris in April, your visit may just require some additional planning.

Disneyland Paris In May

The weather in May can be a blessing and a curse. You can be treated to some amazingly warm days, but it is also known to rain during May.

This may affect your park days, however if you pack a light raincoat then I recommend carrying on and enjoying your visit.

Is Disneyland Paris busy in May? With the longer days and warmer weather comes crowds. Expect more guests to want to visit Disneyland Paris in May. The UK have a half term break during May, but France have their spring holiday during April.

Due to this crowds at Disneyland Paris in May Half term should be slightly lower. It’s worth knowing that Ascension weekend falls during May so the crowd level will be a lot higher then.

Is Disneyland Paris busy in June? Visiting Disneyland Paris in June is the start of what is hopefully great weather. However it’ll also bring the crowds with the peak holiday season that will typically last until the end of August.

With warm days and the park decorated for Summer, you could be enjoying firework shows at 10pm at night, and plenty of parades throughout the day.

With busier crowds, your planning may have to be thought about to ensure you can achieve everything on your Disneyland Paris bucket list through your visit.

Disneyland Paris In August

Visiting Disneyland Paris in August is similar to visiting in July. Expect there to be large crowds and the weather to be hot. The Disneyland Paris peak season begins each year with the Easter crowds.

I recommend breaking up the day and visiting early in the morning and then again in the evening. Take advantage of your Disneyland Paris hotel swimming pool if you have access to one.

Disneyland Paris In October

Halloween season at Disneyland Paris begins in October, and the parks become decorated for Halloween. It’s a fun time of the year to visit Disneyland Paris in October, but it can be cold, especially in the evenings.

Disneyland Paris at Halloween is full of amazing decorations, seasonal parades and new and tasty treats.

A top tip is to return to your Disney hotel if you’re staying on site in the middle of the day to warm up and rest.

Crowds during October will become heavier as the month goes on. There are UK half term breaks in October which attract great crowds to the parks.

Halloween at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris In November

Once Halloween is Over, thoughts turn to Christmas. Visiting Disneyland Paris in November is a nice time to see lower crowds as everyone waits for Christmas.

The weather will be cold, so like visiting in any of the winter months, wear layers and take moments inside when you have the chance to.

Disneyland Paris In December

Ah that magical time of year at Disneyland Paris at Christmas time in December. With the parks decorated for Christmas and fake snow (or if you’re lucky real snow) falling.

Many families deliberately book Christmas at Disneyland Paris to enjoy the festive season. It’s easy to see the appeal, but definitely a time to dress for the weather and stay warm.

December is probably the best time to go to Disneyland Paris for that magical Winter experience. You can also expect the park prices to soar over the festive season.

Dorra Zarrouk Takes Over the Newly Renovated Disneyland Paris Hotel for Vogue Living Arabia Spring/Summer 2024

From innovative novelties to regal interiors, the Spring/Summer 2024 issue of Vogue Living Arabia takes you on a journey of all things beautiful.

On the cover, Tunisian actor Dorra Zarrouk plays a modern day queen in the newly refurbished Disneyland Paris Hotel. “There were many little girls dressed as princesses at the hotel, they were all so sweet,” she recalls from her whimsical cover shoot. “When they saw me posing in a big dress, one of them exclaimed, ‘She’s the princess!’ Another said, ‘No, she’s the queen!’ and another still said, ‘No, she’s Sleeping Beauty!’ They thought I was a character, and it brought a smile to my face to see the admiration in their eyes.”

Renowned for their expertise in a wide range of fine arts, including tapestry, carpentry, weaving, glassmaking, and porcelain, more than 200 French and European companies worked on the Disney Hotel’s massive two-year project. The result is beyond any fairytale. While a “monumental chandelier made of Bohemian crystal that represents Sleeping Beauty Castle” greets guests upon arrival, each of the hotel’s 487 rooms and suites invite you to enter another universe, be it the Aladdin room, where a magic lamp is woven into the carpet, or the Beauty and the Beast -themed suite, complete with a lounge-turned-ballroom. “Everybody in the world was once a child,” Walt Disney once said. “We grow up. Our personalities change, but in every one of us something remains of our childhood.” This hotel serves to remind guests just that.

Not too far from France, all eyes were on Milan over the past month, where Milan Design Week and Salone del Mobile showcased a rich palette of furniture and reinterpreted icons. This month, Vogue Living Arabia takes a deep dive into the best finds from the annual presentations — and this time, there was no missing the deep involvement of fashion houses, too. While Loro Piana Interiors paid tribute to Cini Boeri, Hermès showcased pieces that spotlighted its artisanal know-how and rich history with crafts. In the Spring/Summer 2024 issue’s pages, you can also acquaint yourself with the most exciting products and trends to have emerged from the annual presentations, from luxuriously textured “wallpapers” at Cosentino and Vissionaire, to Minotti and Ghidini 1961’s sumptuous marble must-haves, and the cheeky-meets-functional Tetris-like pieces seen at Flexform.

Next, Vogue Living Arabia invites you over to Venice — or more specifically, the 2024 edition of the Venice Biennale. With the theme Foreigners Everywhere, this year’s edition of the annual event is shining a light on the experience of outsiders — and for our creatives, migration and decolonization take center stage this year. For Palestinian-American Samia Halaby, appearing in the main exhibition is a sort of “poetic justice”. Speaking on Arab representation at international events like the Biennale, Halaby states, “When you quiet the voices of Arabs, you quiet everything. You rob your constituency of the pleasure of seeing a lot of variety, of broadening their minds. You make them more ignorant and easy to manipulate so they lose their expansiveness.” And then there’s Saudi Arabia’s Manal AlDowayan, whose work explores evolving gender roles, and encourages all “to find their voice and their space, especially the Saudi woman whose history is just beginning to be written.” Along with them, you’ll also meet the Arab artists who are making the region proud: Wael Shawky from Egypt, Mounira Al Solh from Lebanon, Abdullah Al Saad from the UAE, and Alia Al Farsi, Adham Al Farsi, Ali Al Jabri, Essa Al Mufarji, and Sarah Al Olaqi from Oman.

Turning now to the realm of beautiful homes, Vogue Living Arabia’s Spring/Summer 2024 issue takes you straight to Paris, to the historic home of interior designer Michael Coorengel, of Coorengel & Calvagrac. Discovered by chance in 2003 by the duo, the centuries-old apartment once belonged to a woman who “was a former actor,  Vogue correspondent, and biography writer,” they reveal. “We bought the apartment from her and her husband.”

Now, the residence is dominated by the duo’s eclectic collection of furniture and art pieces, many of which hold deep historic value — from an emerald green Louis XVI sofa, to self-made paintings. “We appreciate all our pieces equally,” Coorengel says. “What makes an object prized is its emotional value. Most of our furniture is either antique or vintage. We rarely use contemporary as it tends to be demoted too soon, so we do not have any major brands in the apartment.”

Next, Vogue Living Arabia pays a visit to New York City, where artist Claudia Doring Baez opens the doors to a most unique residence. Here, a historical ballroom finds itself transformed into an artful abode, where custom furniture grounds paintings and sculptures made by the family. Reinvented by architect and designer Crina Arghirescu Rogard, the space is rich with history, evident in its beautifully preserved details — think stained-glass skylight, columns, and mosaic floors. “With Claudia, we share a love of hunting through antique markets and design fairs, and a passion for eccentric design pieces,” says Arghirescu Rogard. “Claudia has lively and adventurous spirit, and we collaborated closely to create an atmosphere that resembled her.”

Closer to home, another noteworthy space in the pages of the Spring/Summer 2024 issue is a sprawling Jeddah home that takes inspiration from Islamic art and modern architecture. Curated by Nahla BinShihon, this is a villa where the beauty of Islamic design blends with the modern sensibilities of minimalism. “The couple is interested in Islamic architecture,” says BinShihon about the two-year renovation. “Designing their home was joyful and the workflow was easy because they knew exactly what they wanted. We curated clean lines, uncluttered spaces, and a neutral color palette to establish a sense of harmony and create a contemporary atmosphere,” says the designer.

On a closing note, art takes center stage in the issue, with French mosaic artist Béatrice Serre celebrating 30 years of pure creativity via a solo exhibition. “I have invented a new kind of technique. This is 30 years of mosaic exploration. My work is a language,” she shares about her ethereal pieces, which use everything from glass and marble, to fossils, lapis lazuli, opals, pyrite, and turquoise, to name a few. “My biggest inspiration is the cosmos,” she muses. “Space and the micro and the macro. The stars. Everything is united, everything has its place.”

best time to visit disneyland paris weather

Another noteworthy woman celebrating a milestone this year is entrepreneur, family woman, and Sharjah Business Women Council leader Sheikha Hind Bint Majid Al Qasimi, whose porcelain brand, Designed by Hind completes a decade. Fusing Emirati tradition with contemporary appeal, her creations tell a story of a life nurtured by love. Designed by Hind, offers the sheikha, would never have gotten off the ground had it not been for the involvement of her parents. “What I see from my family, and what they give me, is this push to be strong, to be stable,” she says. “And this is my main goal at SBWC, to give members the support that I get from my family and friends. This is how we can help them succeed. When you believe in someone, they’re going to give more.”
