Group Tours

We welcome requests for group visits of 10 or more students that are arranged by school counselors, community-based organizations, or college access/readiness programs. If you have less than 10 students, we ask that you register each student under a regular campus tour, instead of a group visit.

Group visits feature a 90-minute student-guided walking tour of campus that can be tailored to showcase the interests of the visiting students. We can also enhance your itinerary by arranging for an information session from admissions and/or a special department, and/or campus dining experience.

Once a request for a group visit is received, a representative from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will respond to confirm availability and discuss the details of your visit.

Visitors may be photographed or videoed for marketing purposes while on campus. If we are taking photos/videos during your visit and you don’t want to be involved, please tell our staff that you choose to opt out.

Are you considering ball state take a virtual tour of the campus below..

A visit to Ball State University is ideal, but virtual tours can act to refresh your memory or as a preview for your on-site tour.

What's in it for me?

Inevitably, on-campus tours of classrooms, libraries, dorms, and dining halls will start to blend. Jog your memory using the virtual tour and even explore the area surrounding the campus using the interactive mapping tool. If you're just beginning your college search, a virtual tour can be a great way to get a feel for a campus before your visit. Remember, when you do go, be sure to ask current students about their college life. A student perspective can be the most helpful way to gauge your future experience at Ball State.

Use the resources below to start your virtual tour.

Using the Map

Click and drag the little orange person to a location on the map. Locations with panoramas appear as blue lines or blue dots when moving the orange person. The blue dots are panoramic views that you may swivel. The blue lines are paths that you can navigate along.

Panoramic View

Virtual Graduate Admissions Visit

Ball State University (BSU) Transfers: 2024 Requirements, Dates, GPAs & More

How effective are ball state university (bsu) virtual tours.

It depends how you use them. Ball State University (BSU) is a hustling, bustling campus and community. The beauty of Ball State University (BSU) virtual tours on CampusReel is that authentic video tours, made by real students, can be spectacular at capturing the Ball State University (BSU) vibe. We also go well beyond the confines of the Ball State University (BSU) campus by taking you around Muncie. In traditional virtual tours, you will mostly see still, unengaging images and will not see the surrounding area at all – which is why CampusReel virtual tours are so important.

Can a Ball State University (BSU) virtual tour replace a traditional in-person visit?

If you cannot visit Ball State University (BSU) in person, then we can honestly say that we believe a CampusReel virtual tour of Ball State University (BSU) is absolutely the most effective and holistic way to understand the Ball State University (BSU) people, campus and community. However, if you do plan on visiting Ball State University (BSU) and other colleges in person, we strongly recommend that you at least prescreen your college options on CampusReel before spending the time and money to visit. Most prospective families find that as soon as the step on campus, they instantly know whether or not they like the school – but they’ve already spent all that time and money getting there! Our goal is to eliminate all the time and money visiting Ball State University (BSU) in person until you can make a strong educated guess that it’s worth the investment.

What places can I virtually tour at Ball State University (BSU)?

For your convenience, below is a list of Ball State University (BSU) places you can virtually tour on CampusReel.

  • David Letterman Communication and Media Building at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Student Center at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Bracken Library at Ball State University (BSU)
  • David Owsley Museum of Art at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Teachers College, Ball State University at Ball State University (BSU)
  • The Oasis Campus Ministry at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Elliott Hall at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Noyer Complex at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Rinard Orchid Greenhouse at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Beneficence at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Johnson Complex A at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Ball State University at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Arts Terrace at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Park Hall at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Ball State Student Center at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Robert Bell Building at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Sursa Hall, Ball State University at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Ball State Student Recreation and Wellness Center at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Shafer Tower at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Applied Technology Building at Ball State University (BSU)
  • Frog Baby at Ball State University (BSU)

What are the downsides of a Ball State University (BSU) virtual tour?

The downside of virtually touring Ball State University (BSU) on CampusReel is that, admittedly, our technology does not yet mimic the exact feeling and experience of visiting Ball State University (BSU) in person. We are working on this though! A common request we also receive from users is to add more perspectives (e.g. student guides) to the platform. Rest assured we are working on adding more CampusReel guides to the Ball State University (BSU) virtual tour. However, our selection of guides still far outweighs the available perspectives of traditional virtual tour platforms.

What are the benefits of a Ball State University (BSU) virtual tour?

The most obvious benefit of a Ball State University (BSU) virtual tour on CampusReel is that is can be accessed from anywhere. This can save families a lot of time and money compared to visiting Ball State University (BSU) in person . Another often overlooked benefit of a CampusReel virtual tour is that it goes far beyond a traditional in person tour Ball State University (BSU) . Campus visits are limited both in time and scope – how are you expected to truly understand a college in a 1 hour tour? That’s why we stress the added benefit of CampusReel virtual tours – experience Ball State University (BSU) and Muncie during different seasons, days of the week, and even hours of the day. What’s game day like? What is finals week life? Again, traditional virtual touring platforms don’t include this benefit.

Tour Route & Campus Map

The route with numbered tour stops follows the same path as our regular student-guided tour, however, you are welcome to tailor the tour to your own interests!

Begin your tour at Tour Stop #1) 1700 W. University Drive, directly in front of the Bronco Shop.

STUDENT UNION BUILDING (SUB)

This is one of the most used buildings on our campus and we recommend you start here on your walk. The SUB houses various student organizations and business offices including:

  • Our Games Center (bowling alley, pool tables and air hockey galore)
  • The Bronco Shop – make sure to stock up on some blue and orange gear!
  • Some of our main food areas which include Chick-fil-a, Hissho Sushi, Tree City Juice & Smoothie Cafe, Subway, Market Boise and of course, a Starbucks. If you venture down the hallway, you will end up at Buster’s Kitchen, our main cafeteria on campus.
  • This building is also home to the Admissions office (shoutout!)

Stop 1 - Student Union Building

Learn more about the SUB!

Just across the street from the Student Union, you will find our award-winning, 105,000-square- foot Student Recreation Center. Membership is included in your student fees. It features basketball courts, exercise and weight rooms, racquetball courts, a multipurpose gym, an indoor running track, activity rooms, a 19,000-square-foot aquatics center and one of the largest collegiate climbing walls in the United States.

Stop 2 - The Rec Center

Learn More about the Rec Center!

ALBERTSONS STADIUM

Famous for its blue turf, visit the home of our Bronco football team. Stop in to our Boise State Hall of Fame to see some pieces of Boise State athletic history and take an iconic picture in front of the Blue field! (Bonus points for tagging Boise State Admissions).

Stop 3 - Albertsons Stadium

Learn more about Albertsons Stadium!

ON-CAMPUS HOUSING

Take a stroll from the Stadium past Extra Mile Arena and through our housing quad where you can meander past five of our first year residence halls: Chaffee, Taylor, Keiser, Driscoll and Morrison.

Stop 4 - On Campus Housing

Learn More about Housing!

ALBERTSONS LIBRARY

Take a few minutes to walk around our library! There are tons of study rooms, comfy “cocoon” chairs and gorgeous views of the Boise River.

You can also access many resources as a student, including the largest map collection in the West, books, periodicals, U.S. Documents, textbooks and more. The higher you go in the library, the quieter it gets, and you’ll find some of the best views of the Boise River here.

Stop 5 - Albertsons Library

Learn more about Albertsons Library!

Our quad is the center of our campus geographically and one of the busiest areas on campus. You can see the Administration Building which houses the office of our University President and other helpful offices like Financial Aid and Scholarships and the Registrar. Our solar-powered charging station is nearby if your phone needs a quick charge, and we highly recommend relaxing (or studying) on the lawn.

Stop 6 - The Quad

FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE

Friendship Bridge symbolizes the friendship between Boise State and the city of Boise (can I get an “aww”?!) and is found right on the Boise Greenbelt, 25 miles of riverside trail.

To get downtown from this bridge, you would turn left after crossing the bridge and then turn right onto Capitol Boulevard – a straight shot to the heart of downtown within a 15 minute walk. (You might even see a giraffe head poking out from Zoo Boise!)

Stop 7 - Friendship Bridge

Learn more about the Greenbelt!

INTERACTIVE LEARNING CENTER (ILC)

Wander around this building to get a sense of what Boise State classes may be like. This building holds study rooms and classrooms on floors 2-4 and a lecture hall on the first floor.

This is also home to more food options such as Einstein’s Bagels, Meraki Greek Street Food, Panda Express and Market ILC.

Stop 8 - Interactive Learning Center

CENTER FOR VISUAL ARTS

Home to the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies, our newest building on campus is an absolute show stopper! It is home to our World Museum, art spaces and incredible views of Downtown and into the Foothills.

Stop 9 - Center for Visual Arts

MICRON BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS BUILDING

Home of our College of Business and Economics (otherwise known as COBE), this building is full of classrooms, study spaces and a cozy lobby to get some studying done before class. This building is also home to Skaggs Hall of Learning — our largest lecture hall on campus.

Stop 10 - Micron Business and Economics Building

Finish up your tour with a picture at our famous “B” where students take their first pictures as Broncos when they visit campus for the first time. This spot is also a must for future graduation pictures!

Stop 11 - B Plaza
