Iu east campus walking tour, welcome to indiana university east.
Indiana University East leads the region as the premier four-year and master’s public institution in eastern Indiana and western Ohio. With record enrollment of nearly 4,500 students, IU East is both a traditional campus that excels in innovative learning options and a virtual campus with select online degree completion programs. Whitewater Hall
Whitewater Hall is where visitors will find the Offices of Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, University College and the Campus Bookstore. Vivian Auditorium is a large space available for campus and community events. This building also hosts two art galleries, The Thom Thomas Gallery and Mejier Artway. If you need a bite to eat, stop by The Den. The School of Science and Mathematics and some faculty offices for the School of Humanities and Social Sciences are here.
Student Activities & Events Center
The Student Events and Activities Center promotes student success through a comprehensive offering of programs in health and wellness, physical education, athletics, student activities, and special events. The center is home to the Red Wolves and Lingle Court, home to Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, Campus Life concerts and events, and more.
Springwood Hall
Springwood Hall offers the Graf Center which includes a workout area, ping pong and pool tables, and the campus café, Brewfus. The Chancellor’s office is here, as well as the Chancellor Kathryn Cruz-Uribe and Eugene Cruz-Uribe Interactive Classroom on the second floor.
Brice E. Hayes Hall
In Hayes Hall, visitors will find the Campus Library and Office of Information Technology. Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) is located on the lower level of the building. The School of Business and Economics and the School of Nursing and Health Sciences are located here. In addition, the Quigg Family Nursing Laboratory is located on the lower level.
Located in the center of campus, the quad is an open, enhanced space available for students and campus activities and events such as Back with the Pack and GloZone. Features include a rain garden, pergola and Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit.
Tom Raper Hall
Tom Raper Hall includes the art classrooms including ceramics and painting studios. Named in honor of Tom Raper, former Richmond businessman, for support of the campus. The School of Education and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences are located here.
Cross Country Course
Home of the Red Wolves men’s and women’s cross country team, the cross country course. Challenging course with wooded trail section and gradual uphill finish. 5K and 8K courses marked. Each summer, the Run with the Wolves 5K is held on the course, welcoming over 400 runners to the campus.

The best way to experience our beautiful campus is by taking a campus tour. On designated Sundays*, the IU Visitor Information Center offers a student-led tour at 1pm. Our tours on Sunday afternoons are open to prospective students, alumni, visitors to campus, and community members. We also offer group tours and provide information for self-guided tours.

Sunday campus tours.
Our Sunday tours are led by students eager to show you our beautiful campus. Tours depart at 1:00pm from the IU Visitor Information Center and cover the central campus.
Sunday Campus Tours with the IU Visitor's Information Center are currently full for the rest of the Spring 2024 semester. Please check back soon for Fall 2024 dates.
Group Tours
Group visits are available by request for schools or organizations with elementary or middle school students. After we receive your group visit request, we will work to accommodate your group (subject to availability). Please submit your request at least four weeks before your intended visit date. If you have questions about a group visit request, please email [email protected] .
We are no long accepting Group Tour reservations for the Spring 2024 semester.

Wylie House Museum is open to the public Wed.-Sat., 10am - 4pm . Guided tours are free and led by student and volunteer docents. The museum is closed on major holidays and during Indiana University's fall, Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks.

Built in 1835 by Andrew Wylie, first president of Indiana University, the Wylie House is now a historic house museum, open to the public and serving as an academic resource for classes and research. Wylie House is located just southwest of IU Bloomington campus, near the original campus location. Collections include family artifacts, photographs , archival materials , and digital exhibits . Saturday Crafternoons at Wylie House Museum
Saturdays, 11am-2pm
Drop in for a free hands-on activity guided by our IU student staff.
Activities change monthly and are historic or nature themed.
April activity: Choose from a variety of Wylie House grown pressed flowers and plants to create a suncatcher perfect for hanging in any window!
Wylie House tours are free and offered every hour on the hour from 10am-4pm (last tour beginning at 3pm). The 2pm Saturday tours are especially family-friendly. Make a craft and take a tour with us.
"Stargazing" at Bloomington film festival

We are pleased to share that the music video Stargazing, filmed and edited on-site by IU videographer Ethan Gill, was selected for the 2024 Bloomington International Film Festival (BIFF), April 4-6. BIFF features independent stories from filmmakers all over the world, screening international films alongside Bloomington's local and regional filmmakers.

Built in 1835, Wylie House was the home of Indiana University's first president, Andrew Wylie, and his family. Today, Wylie House is owned and operated by Indiana University Libraries as an historic house museum. It supports the campus curriculum, providing students and faculty with access to the museum and its collections for course integration and research opportunities. The museum's Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center, situated next door to the museum, provides space for staff offices, exhibitions, and class meetings. Wylie House provides IU students with experiential learning through internships, employment, and volunteer opportunities.
The museum is open to the public for free walk-in tours. These are guided by docents . The museum's collections are available by appointment to researchers, Indiana University classes, and students. Get to IU Bloomington safe and sound
As you plan your trip, remember: Bloomington is in the Eastern Time Zone and observes daylight saving time.
Additionally, there are several ongoing construction projects around Bloomington. Please allow extra time to manage delays or detours. For more information regarding state and local construction, please review the following sites:

Animal policy
To ensure the comfort of all guests of the office of Admissions, household pets are not permitted to participate in any portion of the campus visit. This includes the information session, campus tour, and any activities within residence halls. Service animals are welcome.
Poplars Parking Garage
Please park in Poplars Garage at 415 E. Sixth Street (located on Sixth Street, between Grant Street and Dunn Street) in an EM-P permit parking space. To park in Poplars Garage, you will need to register your vehicle at least two business days prior to the event—you received instructions on how to do so in your confirmation email.
To get to the Office of Admissions Welcome Center at Ernie Pyle Hall from the Poplars Garage, take the elevator down to exit Poplars Garage at the southeast corner (on Sixth Street). Turn left onto Dunn Street to head north to Seventh Street, then turn right and continue on Seventh Street until reaching the Office of Admissions Welcome Center at Ernie Pyle Hall. We recommend allowing 15 minutes to walk from Poplars Garage to the Office of Admissions Welcome Center.

Travel information
Most visitors fly into and out of Indianapolis International Airport . You can rent a car or take a shuttle to Bloomington.
Shuttles and private cars
GO Express Travel , 800-589-6004, travels between Indianapolis International Airport and Bloomington several times each day. They also have private cars and a shuttle to and from Chicagoland.
Carey , 800-336-4646, and Classic Touch Limousine , 800-319-0082, offer private, chauffeured cars and limos.
If you plan to stay in Bloomington overnight, take a look at the many hotels and accommodations available in Bloomington.

Nick speaks: And I’m Nick. And we’d like to welcome you to our 360-degree tour at IU Kokomo.
Calah speaks: So, the webpage you’re on right now is a cool way for you to view campus before you get a chance to come and see us in person. Some of the videos will be narrated by us and others will just be short clips.
Nick speaks: Now these videos are all shot in a 360-degree format so what that means is if you’re viewing on your smartphone, just simply move around to get a view of the whole picture.
Calah speaks: And if you’re stationary, you’ll just use your mouse to click and drag and view what you would like to see.

Wylie House Museum is open to the public Wed.-Sat., 10am - 4pm . Guided tours are free and led by student and volunteer docents.
