This was the Local Natives first live show in Orlando. It was overwhelmingly clear that this crowd has being craving to see the Local Natives since their first album in 2010. Amazing showmanship and extremely humbling to see the band members in AWE from seeing such a lively and exciting crowd. They gave it their all and the crowd gave it back.

I saw them at phoenix concert hall, Toronto. I enjoyed the show, but found the stage was too small, sound sytem lacked, muffled voices. They had to stand and not move because the stage was so small. I saw them at the Danforth and they were 10 times better there. the Danforth's sound sytem is cleaner and louder, making it able to hear each voice, so clear it made that evening worth seeing and left me spoiled.I haven't been to the phoenix in so long that I forgot the size of the place...the place was ok buy not what I am used to . They should play the sony centre or massey hall when it reopens. PLEASE

local natives is an awesome band and i have been listening for quite a while now. most of the people i know (i am in my late 50's) havent heard of them. i would love to see them again. i know little scream was the headliner and i really like little scream too, but, this is one of those shows where i bought my ticket mainly for the opener act and got a benefit of seeing/hearing another good artist as well. i think local natives wouldnt have any problem booking as a headliner act, i love the music. thank you local natives

Today, LA’s Local Natives announce their North American tour that kicks off May 4 at BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, CA. The 13-date tour will go from New Mexico to Missouri and end in Santa Cruz, CA, with support from New York based alt-pop artist Uwade. In the span of one year the band performed twice on Jimmy Kimmel Live! For the first performance they were accompanied by Sharon Van Etten playing "Lemon feat. Local Natives Announce New Album Time Will Wait for No One, 2023 Tour Dates

The post Local Natives Announce New Album Time Will Wait for No One, 2023 Tour Dates appeared first on Consequence .

Local Natives are giving us something to wait for with the announcement of their forthcoming fifth studio album Time Will Wait for No One,  out July 7th via Loma Vista. As a preview, the indie rock veterans have shared its lead single “NYE,” as well as a run of accompanying 2023 tour dates.

For their first album in four years, Local Natives turned to heavyweight producer John Congleton, who helped the band navigate the “time of metamorphosis” that inspired the new music: “Former selves [melted] away as some of us became fathers, endured periods of isolation, loss, and identity crisis,” the band explain in a press release. “The highs and lows we were feeling at the same time were so extreme… As individuals and as a band, we were on the verge of a collapse.”

The statement goes on: “Time flows on uncontrollably and change is relentless, and the people you love are the only constants. Out of that reckoning we dissolved everything down to start again, and had the most prolific period of songwriting in our history.” Pre-orders for  Time Will Wait for No One  are ongoing.

The sunny, upbeat “NYE” came about after band member Ryan Hahn’s recent marriage, during which the other members of Local Natives continued their tradition of performing at each others’ weddings. On the setlist that night was a rendition of one of Hahn’s favorite songs of all time, The Strokes’ “Someday”: “I was so floored watching the guys play this from the audience, something I’d never seen before, that I thought we had to do a fast and wild song, and ‘NYE’ was born.”

The “Time Will Wait for No One Tour” kicks off in Minneapolis on August 18th and traverses the US all summer, including performances at NYC’s Pier 17 on August 29th, two nights at DC’s 9:30 Club on August 24th and 25th, and a night at Austin’s Stubbs on September 16th. Tickets will be available at Local Natives’ website .

Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Watch the music video for “NYE” below, and then keep scrolling to see the artwork for Time Will Wait for No One  and Local Natives’ 2023 tour dates.

Last year, Local Natives shared the singles “Just Before the Morning,”   “Desert Snow,” and “Hourglass.” Their last LP was 2019’s  Violet Street .

Local Natives

Local Natives have announced their new album, Time Will Wait for No One . Produced by John Congleton, it’s out July 7 via Loma Vista . Check out their new song “ NYE ,” as well as their album artwork and forthcoming tour dates, below.

“This record was made during a time of metamorphosis for us,” the band said of the follow-up to 2019’s Violet Street in a statement. “Former selves melting away as some of us became fathers, endured periods of isolation, loss, and identity crisis. The highs and lows we were feeling at the same time were so extreme.” Local Natives continued:

There was a moment halfway through making the album, we played one of the most emotional concerts of our lives. A sold-out show at the Greek Theater in L.A., our first performance in almost two years, but we didn’t know how we could move forward. As individuals and as a band, we were on the verge of a collapse. Time flows on uncontrollably and change is relentless, and the people you love are the only constants. Out of that reckoning we dissolved everything down to start again, and had the most prolific period of songwriting in our history. This is the first chapter, Time Will Wait for No One.

Time Will Wait for No One includes Local Natives’ recent song “ Just Before the Morning .”

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .
