Cafe Rouge and Galaxy Clipper *SOLD OUT 2023*

• Details: Combine a delicious evening meal at Cafe Rouge in St Katharine’s Dock and a NYE River Cruise to see the NYE fireworks at the London Eye. This has to be one of our favourite options, as we absolutely love Cafe Rouge and St Katharine´s Dock. As it´s not Westminster either, it is away from most of the crowds so if you´re going with kids this is probably one of the best options in my opinion.
• Restaurant information: Cafe Rouge, Tower Bridge House, 4 St Katharine’s Way, London E1W 1BA. Arrive at the restaurant at 19.30 and enjoy a welcome drink, a three-course meal, half a bottle of wine per adult, or two soft drinks per child. See Map .
• River Cruise Information: Board the boat at Tower Pier at 22.00, and return to Tower Pier at approximately 00.30 hrs. It cruises the River Thames and positions itself opposite the London Eye for the NYE Fireworks. Background music and a glass of sparkling wine at midnight per adult. Hi Sam, I believe most cruises don’t accept children under 5 years old. I would recommend contacting City Cruises directly and checking with them.

Hi Allison, There are two options for cafe rouge and cruise above, neither of the vessels used have a retractable roof, but the Tornado Clipper is slightly bigger. Both vessels have panoramic windows and outdoor space. Hope that helps!

• There are no concessionary rates for our New Year's Eve Cruise Packages.
• Children are welcome, but there are no concessionary rates for our New Year's Eve Cruise Packages.
• Tickets for our New Year's Eve Cruise Packages must be purchased online in advance. Tickets are valid for the New Year's Eve cruise on 31 December 2023 for the selected package only, and are not valid on any other Uber Boat by Thames Clippers regular services.
• It is the passenger’s responsibility to be at the departure pier at least 15 minutes before departure as there will be no refund or exchange if the boat is missed.

Millions of pounds are spent on stunning displays so that you can wish everyone a Happy New Year in London – and see in January in style.

New Year events in London don’t get any bigger than the wow-inducing fireworks display that takes place by the Thames every 31st December. This is a ticketed event to ensure safety for everyone, so you can’t just turn up. You will need to plan ahead instead.

At the time of writing, tickets for the next display were not yet available. But here’s a brief rundown of how it usually works. Every year, incidentally, we all have to wait until the Mayor of London confirms the event is going ahead before tickets can be bought.

You can book up to four tickets per person, via See Tickets , and in 2022 the cost was £15 per head. The riverbank is divided into half a dozen viewing areas – and you cannot move between these. So do make sure to book the same one as your friends!

Instead of standing on the riverbank, you could take a seat on a boat by booking a Thames River cruise for New Year’s Eve. A typical cruise lasts for several hours and includes seeing the fireworks from the boat after the clock strikes twelve. Some trips also include dinner.

5 Top Tips for New Year’s Eve in London

If you’ll be attending events in London for New Year’s Eve, then here are some tips to help you make the most of this memorable experience!

While we’re not saying you need to wear hiking boots, sensible footwear is a must if you’ll be doing much walking. Or standing. If you’re attending the fireworks, then spending hours on your feet is a dead cert. 

Even if you’re not, you may end up walking miles to your hotel – or the nearest available public transport link.

Try trading stilettos for a funky pair of trainers, for example. Your feet really will thank you for it. 

It’s going to be a long night – but if you want to get anywhere on time then you’ll need to leave in plenty of time. Public transport will be packed, and if you want a good spot then that will involve some waiting around. 

Even if you’re going to have a slap-up sit-down meal at a restaurant, we still say you should bring along some snacks and drinks. Queues will be phenomenal, and all that walking is hungry – and thirsty – work. Just work out how long you might be out for and bringing along some supplies really starts to make sense!

Stick to plastic bottles rather than cans and glass, which may be removed from you by security when attending the fireworks. 

It’s cold – and can also be wet – in London during December (and January). So dress accordingly – think layers so you can adjust your outfit according to the weather as the night wears on. A hat, scarf and gloves will help keep you warm.

It’s also a good idea to wear or take along a waterproof jacket, plus a lightweight, portable umbrella. Even when wet weather isn’t actually forecast – the maritime climate of the British Isles can be notoriously unreliable. 

So we mentioned the fact that you should head out early – but you also need to think about how to get back to your hotel, holiday rental, hostel or wherever you’re staying. And trust us, that’s going to be time-consuming at the very least.  

First, here’s the good news. Tubes and other forms of London Transport – such as night buses – run right through until the early hours of New Year’s Day. 

The bad news is that some bridges in central London are closed to traffic. Driving is just the worst idea anyway, due to the complete lack of parking and congestion charges. You might be lucky and get a black cab – but you might not. And if you have far to go, it will cost you. 

Ideally, stay somewhere that makes it possible to walk back if absolutely necessary. Just think, if you can walk a few miles, the exercise will stand you in good stead for a fresh start to the New Year anyway.

All requests must be received before Friday 13th December, special dietary requests may not be accommodated for after this time.

We will endeavour to match the menu but reserve the right to substitute items of a similar value.

These is a nightclub style cruises and seating is limited and not guaranteed on any of the vessels. 

Boarding passes will be sent out by Friday 13th December 2024, if you purchase tickets after this date they will be sent out to you on the next working day.  All tickets will be sent via email so please make sure we have the correct email address

Each passenger will need to show a boat ticket and photo ID at the boarding gate. If you require a Pier Pass, these will be sent out alongside your ticket

Please give yourself extra time to travel to the pier due to road and station closures. We recommend using London's Vast Public Transport Network. Restrictions on New Year's Eve prevent all Taxi's and Private Vehicles to drive anywhere near any of the piers

Our vessels cannot return to the pier for latecomers.

All group bookings must arrive together.

All tickets are non refundable and non transferrable once purchased

Nothing quite screams out New Year's Eve in London than being by the Thames with spectacular views across London!

We can't make any promises of seeing fireworks but being by the river always gives you a great chance of seeing some sort of show! What we can however guarantee is a phenomenal meal from our masterful kitchen!

Included in the price of your ticket is our one-off New Year's Eve set menu where you'll get to try our famous seafood as well as a glass of Prosecco.

And to take you into 2023 we'll have our DJ playing all the party tunes you could hope for!

The event will start promptly at 7pm so please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to spare.

Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue. 3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified. 4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations.
