Kanto Route 23

Kanto Route 23

Route 23 (Japanese: 23 番道路 Route 23 ), is a route located in western Kanto . It connects the Pokémon League Reception Gate in the south to Indigo Plateau in the north. Victory Road is located on this route.

  • 1.1.2 Northern segment
  • 1.2 Generation II
  • 1.3 Generation IV
  • 3.1 Generation I
  • 3.2 Generation III
  • 3.3 Generation VII
  • 4.1 Generation VII
  • 5 Differences among generations
  • 6.1.1 Gold, Silver & Crystal arc

Route description

Generations i, iii, and vii, southern segment.

Heading north from the Pokémon League Front Gate, which houses the first Badge checkpoint, Route 23 heads northeast, passing through the first of many archways on the route as well as the second checkpoint. Northwest of this point is the second archway and the third checkpoint. The main path of the road then heads north, taking a slight northeast alignment as it approaches the third archway and the fourth checkpoint on the bank of a waterway that effectively separates the route into two halves.

Directly north of the fourth checkpoint is checkpoint five, in the shadow of archway four. Northeast of this location, past an island in the water that splits the channel into two, is the next archway/checkpoint. The route continues north, making landfall northeast of the sixth checkpoint.

In this area, Route 23 is dotted with grassy patches and boulders, creating a unique look not seen anywhere else in Kanto outside the Safari Zone . North of the scenery, the route encounters the seventh checkpoint underneath the final archway on the route.

Route 23 turns to the northwest, passing the final patch of grass on the road before returning to a north-south alignment several paces south of the final checkpoint. Just north of the checkpoint is the south entrance to Victory Road.

Northern segment

The route heads north from Victory Road's northern portal, arriving at a series of stone statues intended to create a maze. On the other side of the maze, Route 23 ascends a series of stairs before arriving at the front door to Indigo Plateau.

Generation II

This route is extremely short in Generation II games, consisting of a small space between the northern exit of Victory Road and the entrance to the Indigo Plateau building.

Generation IV

There is no Route 23 in the Generation IV games.

The small open space between the Victory Road and the Indigo Plateau building remains much like the Route 23 from the Generation II games, but it's identified as part of the Indigo Plateau instead.

Generation I

Generation iii, generation vii.

All of these Trainers appear at the route once the player has become Champion .

Differences among generations

safari zone kanto bulbapedia

Only minor cosmetic differences exist between the Generation I games, FireRed and LeafGreen , and Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! .

In the Generation II games and HeartGold and SoulSilver , Route 23 became unnecessary due to the addition of the Pokémon League Reception Gate on Route 26 , being reduced to an extremely short path that takes 7 G S C /17 HG SS steps connecting the front door of Indigo Plateau with the northern entrance of Victory Road. The remakes reclassified Route 23 as part of Indigo Plateau, although there is still unused location data for Route 23.

In the manga

safari zone kanto bulbapedia

Pokémon Adventures

Gold, silver & crystal arc.

Route 23 appeared in Yikes, It's Yanma! , where Gold and Crystal traveled through it on their way to the Indigo Plateau .

  • The background music, titled The Final Road , is rearranged from the prelude to the game's opening and title screen theme.
  • Because the tilesets were not changed between versions of the Generation I games, the signpost outside the southern entrance to Victory Road kept its design from Red and Green in Blue and Yellow , as well as in every localized release of the Generation I games.
  • In Yellow , FireRed and LeafGreen , riding the Bicycle here will not change the background music. In FireRed and LeafGreen only, using Surf will not change the background music either.
  • In the Japanese versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver, the unused data for Route 23 includes a scrapped map blurb consisting of generic development text, "Dummy Guide Message" (Japanese: ダミーのガイドメッセージ), which is also shared with the Rocket Hideout , Goldenrod Tunnel , Dragon's Den , Cliff Cave , and a KGR Map (Japanese: KGRマップ).
  • In Generations I and VII , the checkers for the Soul and Marsh Badge gates are placed in the water and have the same appearance as Swimmers . In Generation III , they stand on shore and have the same appearance as the other checkers.

Tossing and praying is usually the most practical way of getting the buggers. Prepare to be frustrated by Tauros. Oh, and I advise just ignoring Dragonair completely. It's nearly impossible to find, let alone catch. Evolving Dratini is a much better bet.

Rocks make Pokémon more likely to flee, and easier to capture. Bait does the inverse. Hope that helps.

I love me some venonat.

Sometimes it's easier to throw rocks for some pokemon to catch them, other times they flee. I've tried giving bait to Tauros before but it fled. Then I threw a rock at it another time and it stuck around (but I still didn't catch it -_-) Sometimes you can throw a rock, then throw bait or vice versa. That's what I used to catch a Pinsir (Leaf Green but equivalent to Scyther)

i normally throw a rock then feed it to make it feel better and keep continuing like that till i think i can get it

  • Jul 31, 2008

is the safari zone in crystal?

...No.

If you are looking for patterns, I believe all Pokemon possess an established flee rate, and Rocks/Bait simply temporarily modify the catch rate and flee rate values. If one could acquire a list of all flee rates, then a strategy could be potentially developed for the Safari Zone.

  • Aug 8, 2008

This may or not be helpfull but I never used a rock I always did Bait Bait Pokeball Pokeball then repeat untill they where caught and nothing ever took me more than 2 tries altough I only caught a Kangashkahn Rhyhorn and Nidorino as they where all I was going for. I was under the impression rocks where to get them to go away if you didnt want them.

I don't no if this will help you fishing for Dargonair but go to the very last pool of water in the safari zone and whip out your super rod but instead of moving around in the water tap the D-pad and then cast your rod. That way you dont use up any steps. But as some other dude said its easier to level up dratini.

How the Data Was Collected

Premonition (Level 100)

Ability :   Swarm

The Fisherman  (Level 100)

Ability :   Sticky Hold

Using Premonition, I rode my bike through the grass. Using The Fisherman, I cast my line. When I encountered a Pokémon, I marked it down and fled. Repeat 100 times. I don't believe using my bike,  Swarm (increases wild encounter rate by 10%), or Sticky Hold (increases encounters from fishing by 15%) changes which types of Pokémon that are encountered.

How to Use This Guide

Weird permitted domain -- moscow-integration.dcc2.svc.ca2.internal.zone

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some help or information regarding a domain I noticed in pi-hole earlier this week. For some reason pi-hole is permitting the domain moscow-integration.dcc2.svc.ca2.internal.zone and I cannot find any information regarding its origin or the application that is trying to access that domain.

My pi-hole is setup as the primary DNS on my router so all the traffic I see in the dashboard comes from either 192.168.1.1 or localhost so unfortunately I can't see what client is trying to hit that domain.

Would anyone have any idea/information regarding the moscow-integration.dcc2.svc.ca2.internal.zone domain? I have since blacklisted the domain on my pi-hole.

Screenshot_2020-08-02 Pi-hole - raspberrypi3

Blocking this domain has no effect, since the domain does not exist on the internet. With or without blocking, the domain won't be resolved to an IP.

You have several options to show individual IP's on your Pi-hole, which would assist in determining the source of the queries.

You can also turn of clients one at a time until the requests stop, then the last client turned off is the source.

Thank you jfb, I really appreciate your response. I enabled the DHCP on my pi-hole and now I can see which client is trying to hit what domain. Oddly, the weird domain ( moscow-integration.dcc2.svc.ca2.internal.zone ) appears to be coming from my wifes iphone... Will continue to investigate but this is a good start.

Thanks again.

For the first time Rosatom Fuel Division supplied fresh nuclear fuel to the world’s only floating nuclear cogeneration plant in the Arctic

The fuel was supplied to the northernmost town of Russia along the Northern Sea Route.

safari zone kanto bulbapedia

The first in the history of the power plant refueling, that is, the replacement of spent nuclear fuel with fresh one, is planned to begin before 2024. The manufacturer of nuclear fuel for all Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, is Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC), a company of Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL that is based in Elektrostal, Moscow Region.

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactors of the icebreaking type. Unlike convenient ground-based large reactors (that require partial replacement of fuel rods once every 12-18 months), in the case of these reactors, the refueling takes place once every few years and includes unloading of the entire reactor core and loading of fresh fuel into the reactor.

The cores of KLT-40 reactors of the Akademik Lomonosov floating power unit have a number of advantages compared to the reference ones: a cassette core was used for the first time in the history of the unit, which made it possible to increase the fuel energy resource to 3-3.5 years between refuelings, and also reduce the fuel component of the electricity cost by one and a half times. The FNPP operating experience formed the basis for the designs of reactors for nuclear icebreakers of the newest series 22220. Three such icebreakers have been launched by now.

For the first time the power units of the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant were connected to the grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020. The supply of nuclear fuel from Elektrostal to Pevek and its loading into the second reactor is planned for 2024. The total power of the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, supplied to the coastal grid of Pevek without thermal energy consumption on shore, is about 76 MW, being about 44 MW in the maximum thermal power supply mode. The FNPP generated 194 million kWh according to the results of 2023. The population of Pevek is just a little more than 4 thousand, while the FNPP has a potential for supplying electricity to a city with a population of up to 100 thousand people. After the FNPP commissioning two goals were achieved. These include first of all the replacement of the retiring capacities of the Bilibino NPP, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya TPP, which has already been operating for more than 70 years. Secondly, energy is supplied to the main mining companies in western Chukotka in the Chaun-Bilibino energy hub a large ore and metal cluster, including gold mining companies and projects related to the development of the Baimsk ore zone. In September 2023, a 110 kilovolt power transmission line with a length of 490 kilometers was put into operation, connecting the towns of Pevek and Bilibino. The line increased the reliability of energy supply from the FNPP to both Bilibino consumers and mining companies, the largest of which is the Baimsky GOK. The comprehensive development of the Russian Arctic is a national strategic priority. To increase the NSR traffic is of paramount importance for accomplishment of the tasks set in the field of cargo shipping. This logistics corridor is being developed due regular freight voyages, construction of new nuclear-powered icebreakers and modernization of the relevant infrastructure. Rosatom companies are actively involved in this work. Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Division) includes companies fabricating nuclear fuel, converting and enriching uranium, manufacturing gas centrifuges, conducting researches and producing designs. As the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs, TVEL supplies fuel for a total of 75 power reactors in 15 countries, for research reactors in nine countries, as well as for propulsion reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on TVEL fuel. Rosatom Fuel Division is the world’s largest producer of enriched uranium and the leader on the global stable isotope market. The Fuel Division is actively developing new businesses in chemistry, metallurgy, energy storage technologies, 3D printing, digital products, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. TVEL also includes Rosatom integrators for additive technologies and electricity storage systems. Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company is part of Rosatom Electric Power Division and one of the largest companies in the industry acting as an operator of nuclear power plants. It includes, as its branches, 11 operating NPPs, including the FNPP, the Scientific and Technical Center for Emergency Operations at NPPs, Design and Engineering as well as Technological companies. In total, 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW are in operation at 11 nuclear power plants in Russia. Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC, Elektrostal) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel for nuclear power plants. The company produces fuel assemblies for VVER-440, VVER-1000, RBMK-1000, BN-600,800, VK-50, EGP-6; powders and fuel pellets intended for supply to foreign customers. It also produces nuclear fuel for research reactors. The plant belongs to the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom.

Join the world's fastest growing free zone organization, media center| news releases, world free zones organization, sez technopolis moscow won six nominations of the world rating of free economic zones.

SEZ Technopolis Moscow includes five sites (Technopolis Moscow in Pechatniki, Alabushevo, Mikron, Angstrem, MIET) with a total area of over 200 hectares. The Special Economic Zone of Moscow has both greenfield and brownfield territories. To date, 180 Russian and international high-tech companies are located on the grounds of the Moscow SEZ.

The judging panel of the Global Free Zones of the Year award had high praise for the flexible conditions offered to the SEZ residents, its overall investment attractiveness, and the opportunities available for expanding production facilities. The infrastructure opportunities provided by the Moscow technopolis were noted separately, as well as the sites area and their improvement and the educational cooperation carried out with leading universities in Russia and abroad.

“All corporate residents of the Moscow SEZ, regardless of the beneficiary country, receive equal tax benefits, duty-free import allowances, reduced long-term lease rates, flexible policy regarding the leased area, developed infrastructure and transport accessibility to major customers and large warehouses. These factors contribute not only to attracting new investors but also to the expansion of existing production facilities," said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow.

According to Gennady Degtev , CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, the rating also mentioned the infrastructure opportunities provided by SEZ Moscow Technopolis, as well as the sites area and their improvement and the educational cooperation carried out with leading universities in Russia and abroad.

“Winning in six categories at once is the best result seen for a Russian SEZ in this rating since 2014, when the rating became annual. Previously, the best result among Russian special economic zones was a victory in five categories—Alabuga in 2015 and Lipetsk in 2019," he noted.

SEZ Technopolis Moscow owes its success to the systematic measures carried out by the Moscow Government aimed at improving the investment climate and efficiency of the city's business infrastructure. Preferences from the city authorities given to residents of a special economic zone can help them to save significantly on taxes and other mandatory payments. It includes a zero tax rate on fixed assets, reduced income tax, and duty-free imports. In addition, for residents of the Moscow SEZ, the amount of land redemption is one percent of its cadastral value.

"In 2020, Moscow took high positions in other ratings published by fDi Intelligence. In the European Cities of the Future rating of the most attractive cities in terms of investment, Moscow came in the top five with regard to Human Capital and Conditions for Doing Business, and in the top 10 cities in terms of Economic Potential and Cost Efficiency among major European cities. Moscow is also one of the twenty most promising cities in Europe in terms of investments in technology, innovation, and startups—the Russian capital came in 18th place in the Tech Cities of the Future rating, out of a total of 76 , " noted Kirill Purtov , the Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department for Economic Policy and Development.
