Trek slash 2021-2022 good for climbing? : r/MTB
2021 Slash 9.8 GX. 100+ miles since August, and have only shuttled once or twice. The bike is great for climbing. I smashed my PR's but you won't win any KOM's unless you're SuperStrongLeg McStrongLegs. The 29" wheels roll over everything and hold good momentum, and when you put the rear shock into the + setting it holds great traction without bob.

I'm buying a new bike, and am looking into the Trek Slash bikes. There seems to be quite good deals right now. I'm torn between the Slash 7/8 or 9.8 XT (carbon) I have some mates that do Downhill during the summers and would like to be able to join them with my own bike instead of having to rent one for DH riding every time.
