Jasper James’s Urban Sublime

By Kristina Budelis

Whenever he visits a new city, the photographer Jasper James always tries to scale its highest building. His new series “People and Places” consists of portraits taken at these vantage points. When James says he feels the “gravitational pull of a city, with its mixture of excitement, freedom, anonymity, and promise,” it reminds me of the sense of wonder that Romantic artists brought to the natural world. Maybe it’s no accident, then, that his compositions feel like a contemporary version of those of the Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich, whose work, as in “ Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog ,” often shows a figure from the back or in silhouette, drawing attention to his relationship with the landscape. Here’s a selection of James’s glimpses of the urban sublime.

Trump's Spotify favorites and DJ habits at Mar-a-Lago revealed: "Deejay T"

P alm Beach, Florida - Donald Trump reportedly loves to curate the music played at his Mar-a-Lago home and resort, so much so that he has earned the nickname "Deejay T."

According to Axios , whenever Trump, who is busy running for re-election while also facing a handful of serious legal battles, makes an appearance at his home, he insists on taking over the aux.

The former president uses an iPad, armed with his favorite Spotify playlist, to spin his favorite tunes when and how he wants them.

At times, he plays specific tracks on repeat, playing them over and over, and sometimes blasts the volume so loud that resort guests have issues hearing each other.

Friends of the former president claimed his playlist, which one described as containing "big names and songs people recognize," gives insight into his bizarre approach to politics.

What music does Donald Trump listen to?

Some of his favorites, which he has been bumping for the past eight years, include such hits as Hello by Lionel Ritchie, Suspicious Minds by Elvis, and It's A Man's Man's Man's World by James Brown and Luciano Pavarotti.

He also digs tracks from Sinéad O'Connor and The Rolling Stones , even though both artists have expressed disdain for him playing their tunes in public.

Multiple musicians over the years have sued or brought other legal action against Trump for playing their music at events without their consent.

Lunar New Year is approaching, and Bob decides to take a wander in a nearby park.

The park can be represented as a connected graph with $$$n$$$ nodes and $$$m$$$ bidirectional edges. Initially Bob is at the node $$$1$$$ and he records $$$1$$$ on his notebook. He can wander from one node to another through those bidirectional edges. Whenever he visits a node not recorded on his notebook, he records it. After he visits all nodes at least once, he stops wandering, thus finally a permutation of nodes $$$a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n$$$ is recorded.

Wandering is a boring thing, but solving problems is fascinating. Bob wants to know the lexicographically smallest sequence of nodes he can record while wandering. Bob thinks this problem is trivial, and he wants you to solve it.

A sequence $$$x$$$ is lexicographically smaller than a sequence $$$y$$$ if and only if one of the following holds:

  • $$$x$$$ is a prefix of $$$y$$$, but $$$x \ne y$$$ (this is impossible in this problem as all considered sequences have the same length);
  • in the first position where $$$x$$$ and $$$y$$$ differ, the sequence $$$x$$$ has a smaller element than the corresponding element in $$$y$$$.

The first line contains two positive integers $$$n$$$ and $$$m$$$ ($$$1 \leq n, m \leq 10^5$$$), denoting the number of nodes and edges, respectively.

The following $$$m$$$ lines describe the bidirectional edges in the graph. The $$$i$$$-th of these lines contains two integers $$$u_i$$$ and $$$v_i$$$ ($$$1 \leq u_i, v_i \leq n$$$), representing the nodes the $$$i$$$-th edge connects.

Note that the graph can have multiple edges connecting the same two nodes and self-loops. It is guaranteed that the graph is connected.

Output a line containing the lexicographically smallest sequence $$$a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n$$$ Bob can record.

In the first sample, Bob's optimal wandering path could be $$$1 \rightarrow 2 \rightarrow 1 \rightarrow 3$$$. Therefore, Bob will obtain the sequence $$$\{1, 2, 3\}$$$, which is the lexicographically smallest one.

In the second sample, Bob's optimal wandering path could be $$$1 \rightarrow 4 \rightarrow 3 \rightarrow 2 \rightarrow 3 \rightarrow 4 \rightarrow 1 \rightarrow 5$$$. Therefore, Bob will obtain the sequence $$$\{1, 4, 3, 2, 5\}$$$, which is the lexicographically smallest one.

He Visits Us Every Morning

A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [10/07/2016] Topic: He Visits Us Every Morning

What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment? Job 7:17-18. Read: Matt 13:24-25

One of the first miracles we encounter every morning is the miracle of sleeping and waking up. This is the first miracle of the day to everyone that made it through the night. This miracle comes first before others because, whatever the aspirations of a man, if one sleeps and does not wake up in the morning, those aspirations won’t be fulfilled because the aspirant is dead. Whenever you wake up, please note that God visited you, and the next thing to do is to give the Giver (God) of life thanks and glory because many have passed away from their sleep. Without God’s breath in our nostril, we’re nothing but a corpse. Before anything else, thank God for His visitation every morning. Many have passed away from their sleep. This is in conformity with Jesus’ word which says, ‘While men slept, his enemy came”. To do what? Of course to fulfil his threefold mission, “To steal, and to kill and to destroy”. John 10:10. David said in Ps 13:3-4 “Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved”. This means, there’s a sleep that leads to death. Glory be unto God Almighty who visits us every morning to give us life, and that we have it more abundantly. Beloved, it’s a privilege to see a new day, glorify God in it without complaint.

* Glorifying God for every new day simplifies your daily routine. #SplendidSunday

Randeep Hooda scoffs at the idea that he sold ancestral land in Haryana to fund Swatantrya Veer Savarkar: ‘Sold flats in Mumbai’

Randeep hooda also said that whenever he visits his village in haryana, he goes unannounced to escape public attention..

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda , who was recently seen in the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, has clarified that he did not sell his ancestral land in Haryana to fund the film. Randeep, who had recently spoken about putting his own money into the passion project, said that he instead sold his properties in Mumbai.

In an interview with Vaad, Randeep laughed at the thought of him selling his ancestral lands for the film. He said, “ I did not sell my land, I sold the flats in Mumbai . ‘Itni zameen bhi nahi thi ki film ban jaye (I do not have enough land to sell to fund a film).” The actor also said that he has bought land in the jungle and wishes to live there in the future.

whenever he visits

Randeep said that Mumbai is favourite city in the world. Explaining why, he said, “ This city has given me everything, I got the opportunity to work. My family also stays here. I met my wife here. My friends are from here. When I go there (village in Haryana) it is a different feeling. But people have changed there. Whenever I go there, I cannot talk to them freely, because people are like, ‘photo photo.’ So I go unannounced.”

Previously, Randeep had opened up about the difficulties he experienced while filming Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. He said in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, “I wanted to release this film on August 15 last year, then on January 26. I put everything into it. It didn’t happen… We had difficulties, because the team that was initially attached to the project, those people didn’t have the intention to make a quality film. They just wanted to make a film. We had financial difficulties. My father had saved up and bought two or three properties for me in Mumbai, I let go of them and put the money into the movie. I couldn’t stop.”
