Recent tour reviews

Staind is a band that I have a lot of respect for. I went to four Staind concerts last year and I was not disappointed for any reason at all at the events.

They always have a decent crowd to be with at their shows and that is why I love being there live. I have no fear that somebody is going to push me in a mosh pit when I don't want to go in.Outside of respectful fans, the band has been putting out excellentusic for over ten years.

They won't just play their new music at live events, they will play lots of songs off of their old albums. I want to go see Staind another four times this year!

“Really looking forward to running on tour this summer with our old pals in Staind,” stated Godsmack. “For sure every night will be packed with great music and A LOT of fun memories! Don’t miss it!”

Staind’s Aaron Lewis commented, “We’re really looking forward to being out with Sully and the guys this summer,” while guitarist Mike Mushok added, “The first time we shared the stage with Godsmack was the 1998 Warped Tour and here we are 25 years later still going strong. We’re stoked to be sharing the stage with our old friends this summer.”

Godsmack recently released their latest album, Lighting Up the Sky , with the band stating that it is their last album ever. However, frontman Sully Erna told Heavy Consequence that the band will continue as a live act , explaining, “We’re going to close this chapter, but we’re gonna open a new chapter. We’re not announcing a breakup.”

Following a long hiatus, Staind resumed touring in 2019 and are currently working on their first album since 2011’s self-titled effort. Lewis, meanwhile, has been recording as a solo artist, and also making headlines for his right-wing views in recent years.

Trending on billboard.

During its initial run, Staind scored four platinum-or-better albums and notched 13 top 10 Mainstream Rock Airplay hits — including the No. 1s “It’s Been Awhile,” “So Far Away,” “Right Here” and “Not Again.” The band went on hiatus during the summer of 2012 but promised that it was not breaking up. Lewis began a successful solo career in country music, while Mushok formed another group, the still-active Saint Asonia, and played in former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted’s group.

After some occasional reunions, Staind went on tour again during 2019, which spawned the 2021 release Live: It’s Been Awhile , which it followed with another tour last year. “It’s taken me a long time to be ready to do another Staind record,” says Lewis, acknowledging that the personal angst that populated the band’s music took a toll on him. “I got really burnt out on digging into the dark corners of my psyche every night to deliver those very deep, dark songs in a manner that was believable and authentic. I needed to step away from it for awhile and do something different. It just came back together naturally.”

Mushok says he came up with the riff for “Lowest in Me” during the 2019 tour. “Every day I would set up a little ProTools rig on the bus,” he recalls. “I had a laptop and an interface, and I’d just sit there and play and find something I liked. And that was one I came up with.” Lewis adds that when Staind decided to move forward on another album, Mushok presented him with “an entire work tape full of ideas, there must’ve been 30 ideas there. I found stuff I liked and chopped ’em up and put ’em back together and made songs out of them.” “Lowest in Me” and Confessions of the Fallen was created with the members working mostly apart from each other during the pandemic lockdown, and the band made greater use of electronic sonic textures and enhancements than it ever had before.

“I guess it inspired me a little bit to be doing something different than what Staind would normally have done,” Lewis acknowledges. “To work with programmed beats and ethereal, spacey sections…. It just was a very different approach than how it would’ve been before.”

And that was fine by Mushok. “There were many surprises,” the guitarist notes. “That was part of the conversation. That was something Aaron wanted to bring into the band. He’d listen, I think, to a lot of the more modern rock bands and embraced what they were doing with (electronics) and stuff like that. Some of the parts are the same parts that we wrote, they just might not be played on an instrument we normally would have played them on, which gives it a little bit of a different feel. And that’s fine. I’m always cool with whatever changes are made.”

“I think it’ll be a great tour,” Lewis predicts. “I’m looking forward to touring with some of my friends that I haven’t seen in a long time. My paths don’t really cross with them anymore ’cause I’m playing shows in a completely different genre, so I don’t see them like I would in the past. I think everybody will be happy.”

Staind Announces Arena Tour with Seether, I Prevail

The rockers of Staind are hitting the road next year for a brief radio arena tour with a stacked lineup.

The eight-date tour kicks-off at Planet Band Camp at St. Augustine Amphitheatre in Florida on April 18, followed by Amalie Arena’s 98 Rockfest in Tampa, WJRR’s Earthday Birthday at Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando, WDHA’s Rock the Rock Fest at the Prudential Center in Newark, and the 98 Rock Spring Thing at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.

They’ll also appear at The Big Gig at DCU Center in Worcester and 102.9 HOG FEST at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee before wrapping-up at the 93X Twin City Takeover at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on May 4.

Throughout the run, various bands will provide support, varying per date, including the metalcore groups I Prevail, Asking Alexandria, Dayseeker, and Sleep Theory, the heavy-rockers of Seether, and the ’70s-style glam rockers of The Struts. Grunge-rock’s Aryon Jones, country’s Tim Montana, rock artist Austin Meade, and the all-female rocker group Plush will round out the bill at select shows.

Staind released their eighth studio album, Confessions of the Fallen, in September. This marks the band’s first studio record since 2011’s self-titled. This time around, frontman Aaron Lewis told Blabbermouth that he wanted to “modernize the sound and bring us up to date.”

“You can certainly recognize the band but at the same time you can hear that we’ve been paying attention and understand what kind of sounds and approaches we can use that maybe weren’t around the last time we did this,” Lewis said.

Staind first arrived on the scene in 1995, garnering attention in the early 2000s with hits like “It’s Been Awhile,” “So Far Away,” and “Everything Changes.”

Last summer, STAIND completed a U.S. tour as the support act for KORN .

The band was scheduled to support DISTURBED on "The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour" throughout North America last year, but the amphitheater trek was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping the globe.

Last June, STAIND 's Mike Mushok told Anne Erickson of Audio Ink Radio that he and his bandmates were working on their first studio album since 2011's self-titled effort. "There's a bunch of [new] songs kicking around," he said. "It's just kind of [a matter of] sorting through that stuff and seeing what, if anything, we like, and figuring out… I imagine, having not put out a real record of new music in 10 years, we're gonna be pretty critical of what it is and wanna make sure that it's great. But, yes, there is talk of that. We actually signed a record deal and have a deal to do a new record."

In March 2021, Lewis told SiriusXM 's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" that he "would certainly love to" have the new STAIND album released in 2022. "All of our plans that were kind of semi on the books and on the table, everything just had a year taken off of it [due to the pandemic]," he said at the time. "We were gonna have a record come out sometime in 2020 or certainly in 2021, and there was a schedule that was on the table that, just like everything else, got burned to the ground as soon as [the lockdown] started."

STAIND has released seven albums since 1995, the latest being 2011's self-titled effort. The band has had a number of hit songs during its first two decades, including the Top 10 smash "It's Been Awhile" from the No. 1 album "Break The Cycle" . Follow-up LPs "14 Shades Of Grey" and "Chapter V" also topped the Billboard chart.

STAIND released its first album in nine years, "Live: It's Been Awhile" , last May via Yap'em / Alchemy Recordings . The "Live: It's Been Awhile" album was accompanied by "The Return Of Staind" , a two-part global streaming series in partnership with Danny Wimmer Presents . The series launched with STAIND 's "Live: It's Been Awhile (From Foxwoods)" concert, which streamed globally on May 1, 2021. The "Live: It's Been Awhile" album and concert were recorded at the band's comeback show at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut in October 2019. The never-before-seen concert celebrated the band's reunion after a five-year hiatus. STAIND also performed its iconic multi-platinum 2001 album "Break The Cycle" in its entirety for a May 8, 2021 streaming event, exactly 20 years after the album's release. The "20th Anniversary Of Break The Cycle, Performed In Its Entirety" took place at Mill 1 in Open Square in Holyoke, Massachusetts, bringing the band back to their Western Mass roots.

STAIND played its first full live show in five years in September 2019 at the Louder Than Life music festival in Louisville, Kentucky.

2024 Presidential Election: Who's Backing Donald Trump in 2024?

Posted: April 28, 2024 | Last updated: April 28, 2024

This is a bit of an odd one but it still sort of counts as a celebrity endorsing the former president. In 2022, Ye (formerly Kanye West) announced that he's once again throwing his hat into the presidential election ring in 2024, tweeting that he'd like Trump to be his VP after visiting him at Mar-a-Lago. He wrote:

First time at Mar-a-Lago. Rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting. And I had on jeans. What you guys think [Trump’s] response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?

It's a kind of support, don't you think?

Donald Trump's presidency was polarizing to say the least, and while many of his celebrity supporters jumped ship following the results of the 2020 presidential election he's still backed by plenty of famous faces.

Celebrities like musician and conservative activist Ted Nugent, whose passionate rhetoric has struck a chord with many Trump supporters has stuck by 45's side, just like Kid Rock, whose unapologetic endorsement of Trump has garnered significant attention in the media. But it's not just rockstars backing the former president. He has Super Bowl winners, award winning rappers, comedians, and reality TV stars by his side.

Join us as we explore the intriguing realm of celebrity endorsements and their role in shaping the political landscape. As the 2024 presidential election draws closer we'll continue to update these influential personalities and their alignment with Trump's campaign.
