10 Virtual Tours of Amazing Architecture Around the World

architectural virtual tour

Visiting some of the world’s greatest architectural wonders—such as marvels of Frank Lloyd Wright and Zaha Hadid—has never been easier, thanks to virtual tours.

No need to strap on virtual-reality goggles—just click your way through these highly immersive, interactive visits for an architecture-themed trip from the comfort of your own home.

Courtesy of  Taliesin Preservation

Once the personal residence of the godfather of prairie style, this 800-acre estate lies in the bucolic rolling hills of Spring Green, Wisconsin, just outside of Madison. It's currently home to the Taliesin School of Architecture and comes to life in this virtual tour of Taliesin , created by a fellow Wisconsinite. Paired with light classical music in the background, the narrator beings with the macro—why Frank Lloyd Wright’s elders settled in the Driftless Region—before diving into the micro, showcasing interior spaces (from the geometric-patterned area rug and barrel chairs in the Formal Living Room to the blue chaise cushions and Chinese art in the loggia , or second-floor patio) that Wright worked on between 1911 and his death in 1959. Bonus: visitors to Spring Green can never access the loggia.

Milwaukee Art Museum

In 2001, the Milwaukee Art Museum unveiled a Santiago Calatrava-designed addition that Time Magazine dubbed its “design of the year.” These soaring white wings are now forever linked to the city’s skyline. While normally the museum’s Haitian art and Outsider art collections are a draw, you can still experience a bird’s-eye view of Lake Michigan’s shoreline immediately upon entering, noting the way sunlight glints off Dale Chihuly’s blown-glass “Isola di San Giacomo in Palude Chandelier II.” Fortunately, Visit Milwaukee’s virtual tour of what locals call “The Calatrava” is the next best thing to actually visiting.

The Colour Palace

Courtesy of Dulwich Picture Gallery

Need a burst of serious color? The Colour Palace in London, designed by Pricegore and Yinka Ilori Studio , and unveiled last year as the contemporary sibling to Sir John Soane’s 1811 Dulwich Picture Gallery design, is your remedy. Step into this virtual tour , which is so vivid you might need to wear sunglasses. A marriage of West African (particularly Lagos’ fabric markets) and European influences, the result is a boxy rainbow of color that shifts with the sun, and your own orientation (thankfully, through both real-time and virtual visits). If you like crossing bridges and climbing jungle gyms, then the elevated walkways are kind of like that.

Versailles Palace

Flowers are poking out of the soil and trees are in bloom right now at Versailles Palace , France’s royal residence (from 1682 to 1789), 12 miles from Paris. Step into the splendor via this virtual tour, of the palace’s Hall of Mirrors , commissioned in 1678; with so much “eye candy” in the form of ornate gold trim, it’s no wonder this is the palace’s most famed room. To replace a large terrace, the hall was created in 1684 by French Baroque architect Louis Le Vau, who was commissioned to work on other areas of the palace, too.

Walt Disney Concert Hall

Architect Frank Gehry’s signature sheets of undulating metal soar above downtown L.A. even before you approach the Walt Disney Concert Hall , which just celebrated its 16th anniversary. Offering not just one, but many virtual tours , you can choose to explore the sunny lobby, backstage area, garden, or theater (with its Douglas fir-lined interior). Designed to offer supreme sound quality for performances, including those by Los Angeles Philharmonic, you’ll have to visit in person when the hall reopens to see (and hear) for yourself. But in the meantime, there’s this.

Farm Street Church

Courtesy of Farm Street Church

Seasoned travelers to Europe might quip that they’ve “seen it all” when it comes to churches, but in addition to the ones everybody knows (like Notre Dame in Paris), there are plenty of underrated sanctuaries. That includes Farm Street Church , a Jesuit Catholic parish in London’s Mayfair section and designed by Joseph John Scoles for its 1849 opening. Seeking a divine moment of inspiration? Make yourself a cup of tea and settle in for this virtual tour , which includes stained-glass windows, hand-carved wooden pews, and soaring ceilings.

Sacré-Coeur

Tucked into the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris—the basilica’s domed top is forever linked to the arrondissement and perched on Paris’ highest point— Sacré-Coeur stands as a symbol to France’s defeat in the Franco-Prussian War. Architect Paul Abadie designed the landmark, which opened in 1914, and it remains the second-most visited monument in Paris. To access the monument from your living room, visit the virtual tour here . There are two clickable maps, for the Domes and the Basilica, as well as sound options (because an organ or bells is what you might hear if you were actually there).

Sydney Opera House

Unveiled in 1973, this performing-arts venue hugging Sydney’s harbor was designed by Karl Langer, Peter Hall, and Jørn Utzon. As a consolation during this time of staying grounded, the opera house is releasing digital programming (dance performances, Sydney Symphony Orchestra concerts, interviews with notables, and more) on its website, to further enrich your virtual visit , which begins by entering it from outside, for the full experience. This year, the opera house celebrates 13 years since being named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dominion Office Building

Designed by Zaha Hadid, this Moscow office building spans nine stories along Sharikopodshipnikovskaya Street and was completed in 2015, designed to provide workspace to employees in the tech and creative sectors. Explore further with this virtual tour , showcasing how dramatic a palette of only black and white can be when it comes to such large-scale design.

Sistine Chapel

One of Italy’s most visited sites— the Vatican , which serves as the Pope’s personal residence—is also a must-see for art and architecture lovers. One reason is that the Sistine Chapel is here, including Michelangelo’s “The Last Judgment” fresco, found on the ceiling. A virtual tour allows you to zoom in on the frescos in a way you wouldn’t normally be able to on a visit. There’s also no limit to the number of times you can “visit.”

Castle in Love with the Wind, Ravadinovo, Bulgaria

10 virtual tours of spectacular buildings around the world

Mughal palaces, Egyptian tombs and modernist masterpieces can be experienced in VR tours that depart from your sofa

W hile our lives have mostly shrunk to our own four walls – besides the sneak peek of others’ homes glimpsed via Zoom – we can still step into other worlds virtually. Stately homes and fortresses, from Blenheim Palace to Bran Castle (of Dracula fame) have opened digital portals allowing anyone with a laptop the chance to snoop around, without getting off the sofa. Here are 10 of my favourite colourful buildings from the vast eclectic trove online.

Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Barquq, Cairo

The 14th-century Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Barquq

Four vaulted stone halls, or iwan s, open on to an eerily empty courtyard with an intricate domed fountain in the middle. The ceiling of the cavernous qibla iwan on the prayer-ward eastern side is carved with geometric motifs and gilded like illuminations from an ancient Qur’an. Sultan Barquq’s 14th-century complex, with its marble mosaics, monumental bronze doors and elaborately carved minarets, is a masterpiece of Cairo’s Mamluk architecture. Egypt’s tourism ministry has opened other virtual sites, including the tomb of Queen Meresankh III, encouraging digital travel with the hashtag #ExperienceEgyptFromHome . mymatterport.com

Anne of Cleves House, East Sussex

The high-beamed bedroom in Anne of Cleves House, Lewes.

Henry VIII gave this timber-framed mansion in Lewes, and other properties, to Anne of Cleves after their divorce in 1540. The tour starts in the garden, among foxgloves and delphiniums under a spreading medlar tree. It then glides, ghost-like, into the well-worn Tudor kitchen and up the steep staircase to a high-beamed bedroom and carved four-poster bed. This classic late medieval hall house, “modernised” a century or so later, has local history galleries with antique grandfather clocks and lots of Wealden iron. Elsewhere, Sussex Archaeological Society has created several virtual tours of their attractions, including the Roman Fishbourne Palace . 3d mediasolutions.co.uk

Palace of Versailles, Paris

The Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles

“Hey guys, what’s up?” says narrator Jean Philippe N’Djoli, inviting us into Versailles. A short, playful video introduces the palace’s immersive 2019 Google virtual reality app, which offers hi-tech tours of the opera house, king’s bedroom and more. Click the little yellow person and find yourself transported into the gleaming Hall of Mirrors, its baroque painted ceiling celebrating Louis XIV and 357 luxurious mirrors reflecting 73m of gilded bronze and crystal. Head through the endless corridors to zoom in on art by Veronese or Jacques Louis David, royal statues and trompe-l’oeil murals. Or whiz round the lakes and fountains in the sculpture-filled gardens, using Google maps to explore miles of maze-like groves and lakeside topiary. artsandculture.google.com

City Palace, Jaipur, India

City Palace, Jaipur

In 2019, Jaipur’s youthful maharaja, polo player Padmanabh Singh, put a room in his palace on to Airbnb (priced about £6,000 a night, the proceeds going to charity). The suite and its private pool don’t feature in this polished palatial tour, but the virtually accessible parts of the palace are a huge showcase for Jaipur’s sunset-coloured sandstone and graceful Mughal architecture.

The City Palace was built in the 1720s and 1730s by Padmanabh’s distant predecessor Jai Singh II, who founded modern Jaipur and built observatories in several Indian cities. The many-columned Diwan-e-Khas (private audience hall) has painted walls, serrated arches, marble floors and the world’s biggest silver pots, made by one of the maharajas to take 8,000 litres of Ganges water with him on a visit to Britain in 1902. outsitevr.com

Golestan Palace, Iran

Golestan Palace

The Qajar dynasty, who ruled the Persian empire from around 1785-1925, chose Tehran as the imperial capital and commissioned some impressive architecture for the city. The walled Golestan complex is one of Tehran’s oldest palaces (the mirrored decor is largely 19th century) and the Unesco World Heritage listing describes it as an inspirational “example of an east-west synthesis” in art and architecture.

The virtual access is slightly awkward (click the white arrows to jump to another 360-degree panorama), but how many of us will visit the real thing? Start by the pond in the flowery gardens (Golestan roughly translates as “Roseland”) and zoom in on the colourful tiled facade. In the Brilliant Hall, swivel up and look at the ceiling, and in the Talar e Salam swivel down as well to admire the mosaic floor. 360cities.net

Casa Batlló, Barcelona

Antoni Gaudi’s Casa Batlló.

With slim, bone-shaped columns and skull-like masks over the balconies, locals call it the House of Bones. This fantastical mansion, designed by Antoni Gaudí in 1904, has a coral reef-coloured facade and undulating, iridescent-scaled roof. The wood-floored interior is both livable house and modernist seascape, full of organically curving walls, blue tiles and stained glass. If navigating the spiral stairs all the way up to the ripple-windowed loft or panoramic rooftop is too much like hard work, you can skip straight there by clicking on Attic or Terrace. casabatllo.es

Taliesin, Wisconsin, US

Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Wisconsin estate.

Half a century of pioneering architecture is encapsulated in this enjoyably reverential guided tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s 242-hectare estate. No other landscape “cradles you as do these south-western Wisconsin hills”, wrote the architect in 1932. In the studio, a photo of Wright at his desk gets superimposed on the present-day space, and drawings of his famous buildings, from Fallingwater to the Guggenheim Museum , are ranged on drafting tables. The tour (blissfully unconcerned with a recent funding row that led the on-site school of architecture to relocate last summer) takes virtual visitors through living room and loggia, out into the Hillside Assembly Hall, built from rough local sandstone and oak, with supporting columns that leave the big windows free to frame the views. tourdeforce360.com

Dominion Tower, Moscow

Zaha Hadid’s Dominion Office Building

When Zaha Hadid won the RIBA Royal Gold Medal in 2016, less than two months before she died, fellow architect Peter Cook said she shared “a sense of vigour” with the Russian Suprematists and Constructivists she admired. She designed curvaceous, futuristic buildings all over the world, from the Guangzhou Opera House to the London Aquatics Centre used in the 2012 Olympics. You can see several of them via Google .

The relatively modest Dominion Tower opened in a mostly residential area of Moscow in 2015 and has characteristically playful geometry. Photos for the 3D modelling were taken at night, so the building’s airy use of natural light is absent, but this virtual access captures the staggered levels and looping, monochrome staircases. Outside the plateglass windows, Moscow’s ever-spreading cityscape glows in the dark. matterport.com

Castle in Love with the Wind, Ravadinovo, Bulgaria

The gardens of Castle in Love with the Wind

In 1996, controversial Bulgarian businessman and wrestler Georgi Tumpalov drew a cross with his spade on a patch of ground about four miles west of the seaside town of Sozopol, on the Black Sea coast – the start of decades of work creating his fairytale, faux-medieval palace, AKA Castle in Love with the Wind. The garden tour gives us ponds and palm trees, creeper-covered turrets and plenty of Bulgarian sunshine. Hover over “What to See?” and click on each of the kitschy 360-degree interiors. There’s no zooming in on renaissance portraits here; just a twirling fantasia of stained glass, tarnished bronze and crimson velvet, to a soundtrack of birdsong and music that becomes steadily more portentous. The wine cellar – half grotto, half banquet hall – is equally baroque (with fake cobwebs on the picture frames) and the blue-vaulted reception room is a riot of gilding and taxidermied deer. windcastle.eu

The Bubble House, Karalee, Australia

Bubble House, Karalee Queensland by Birchall & Partners Architects.

Sure, you could virtually tour the Sydney Opera House with a soundtrack that includes soprano Nicole Car singing, but have you seen the Bubble House in Karalee, near Brisbane? Architect Graham Birchall designed it for his final year thesis in the 1980s, then spent 10 years building it. Eleven domes, four to eight metres in diameter, enclose 16 rooms that include a bar, fireplace, cinema and bathrooms with whirlpool baths. The waterfall air conditioner and circular shutters that open like a camera lens had to be specially designed to fit the spherical settings. Birchall put the house up for sale last summer, after living there for three decades, and had thousands of inquiries. matterport.com

20 Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings You Can Tour Virtually

By Katherine McGrath

a building with a pool and the sun

For architecture lovers who have always wanted to make the pilgrimage to Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece buildings but haven’t yet had the chance, now is the opportunity. As millions around the globe continue to quarantine at home and find themselves with more time on their hands, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy and the Unity Temple Restoration Foundation , have introduced their new joint initiative, #WrightVirtualVisits, which presents video and 3D tours of 20 of Wright’s most treasured buildings, including Hollyhock , Fallingwater , Taliesin, and more. “It is precisely at this time, when so many are shut inside, that we need to experience beauty and inspiration,” says Barbara Gordon, Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy executive director. “Wright’s works bring people together in harmony with the natural world, reminding us that we are all connected, even when we’re apart.”

The project, which launched earlier this month, is spread across the social media channels of the various participating sites, in an effort to cross-promote all of Wright’s architectural gems. Every Thursday at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT through July 9, each site shares a video tour of another site. The tours are remarkably in-depth and informative, as they’re often given by the directors of each house. The foundations in charge of the project hope the virtual tours will encourage viewers to support the different structures so that they can continue to welcome visitors in person once again in the future. All of the public Wright sites have been impacted by the pandemic, between budget cuts and furloughed staff, and are relying on donations from supporters to continue their preservation efforts. “We hope that taking a virtual visit to any of these Wright designs around the country will bring a little joy to their day and bring them into our community that remains connected around our shared passion for beauty, architecture, nature, and design,” says Jeff Goodman, vice president of communication and partnerships at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Ahead, discover some of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpieces from your home.

Virtual Travel - Architecture Tours

The world’s best and most famous architectural gems are open to anyone who wants to see them from anywhere, thanks to virtual tours.

When you can’t travel in real life, you can still spend hours (and hours…) travelling virtually.

If you’re into architecture and interior design like me, you’ll find that exploring beautiful buildings from home is a real joy.

It’s no substitute for the real thing, obviously, but it will quench your thirst for aesthetics for the time being.

While you’re at it, you’ll discover more places to add to your bucket list for future travels. I’ve added Villa Savoye to mine.

It’s also a way to see places I probably won’t ever visit in real life, like the splendid Golestan Palace in Iran…

Here’s a curated selection of modern, contemporary and classical masterpieces you can visit online.

You can take a virtual tour of Villa Savoye via Google Street View.

Extra: architectural beauty

While researching this article, I found this wonderful gallery on Google Arts & Culture called Architectural Beauty . It’s full of old paintings of buildings and cities.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE this! Can’t wait to take the tours. I love architecture and have a degree in Interior Design so I’ve studied many of these buildings. I saw Villa Savoye in person (and cried). Thanks for putting this together!

Glad you liked it!

I have taken 360 tour to sydney opera house. This iconic symbol of Sydney is a place one must go to in real life not only online. It’s not only a beautiful building from the outside, it’s equally amazing on the inside. The design of having a separate concert hall and opera venue is a brilliant one as it ensures that neither is compromised by the other. The inside of walls design are looks like done by hand made.Especially the architecture is iconic and beautiful.

I agreem been to the opera house and loved it 🙂

This is such a timely post. In these days of Lockdown, we are looking for avenues to soar out on the wings of imagination to exotic destinations. This concept of virtual travel to these architectural masterpieces is a great initiative. I will be exploring them starting today. Thanks for the links.

Such great ways to see the world virtually while stuck at home! I know I have so many new places on my list to see when we are able to travel again 🙂

Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is absolutely stunning! An architectural masterpiece!

As an Aussie I love that the Sydney opera house made this list! I think it’s so great that so many places worldwide are offering virtual tours right now! It’s really a way to keep wanderlust alive!

While I am an architecture lover and can appreciate modern architecture, nothing can beat the older design like the European buildings. It is the main reason that I wanted to go to Spain this year. Maybe next year 🙁

I wish, I can go to there soon and maybe next year too 😉

One of my favourite parts of travelling is seeing architecture around the world. Thank you for writing this post!

What a lovely post! If what we have left, in these crazy days, is a virtual tourist in the world – then I prefer to tour through this blog. As an architecture lover, I find these images adorable. Virtual sightseeing can also enrich your soul. Thanks!

Pier Luigi Nervi in Turin

Turin, after Rome, is the city that hosts the largest number of projects by the Roman builder engineer Pier Luigi Nervi. The tour is focused on the discovery of the large, and well-known, ferrocement vault of Torino Esposizioni Exhibition Center built in 1948. The monumental complex represents a milestone in the history of modern engineering and architecture. As in the large majority of his works, Nervi was both the designer and, through its construction company, the builder of the Center. Conceived in the years immediately following World War II as a public exhibition space to host primarily the annual Automobile Show, in connection with the presence in Turin of the internationally renowned FIAT motor company, the two main buildings of the Center are outstanding examples of a pioneering use, at the intersection between inspiration and technique, of new advanced methods in reinforced concrete construction, combining the extended adoption of innovative prefabrication procedures and the re-invention by Nervi of ferrocement, as an extremely malleable building material.

Ringsiedlung Siemensstadt – UNESCO World Heritage

The Siemensstadt “Ringsiedlung” is one of six classical modernist housing estates in Berlin that have been under UNESCO World Heritage protection since 2008. Hans Scharoun and Walter Gropius are the most famous architects of the association “Der Ring”, which gave the settlement its name. The most famous buildings are the so-called “Panzerkreuzer” (battleship) by Hans Scharoun and the gallery house by Walter Gropius. Characteristics of the settlement in the green surroundings are colored staircases, balconies and roof terraces.

Benjamin Franklin House

  • Virtual Tour & Virtual Georgian Interior

Can’t visit the House? Take a contemporary virtual tour and travel back in time with the Virtual Georgian Interior below!

The Virtual Georgian Interior

Based on research, a virtual fly through of Benjamin Franklin House’s Georgian interior showing how the spaces might have looked during Franklin’s tenure. The Virtual Georgian Interior transports the viewer to circa 1770 providing a flavour of the furnishings, colours and even sounds of his London home.

Franklin was detailed about what he sent from the building but not so detailed about the items he had there, so we talked to many experts who let us digitally borrow from their collections to create this journey back in time!

Made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, it complements our in-House Historical Experience, where time, place and story are evoked through performance, sound, and digital projection.  It is an integral part of a visit to Benjamin Franklin House, but we are making it available online until we can open the doors of 36 Craven Street widely again.

Architectural Traditions: A Virtual Tour of Three National Trust Historic Sites

  • More: Historic Sites
  • By: Dennis Hockman

National Trust Historic Sites are open! We encourage you to check directly with each site for up-to-date information on available activities, ticketing, and guidelines if you are planning a visit.

We hope you have been enjoying our virtual tours of National Trust Historic Sites . Taken together as a portfolio, our 27 historic sites help tell the full American story, and the places we visit today represent the architectural grandeur of homes built by the captains of industry and finance from the Colonial times through the Progressive Era.

First on tour is Cliveden . Constructed in Philadelphia between 1763 and 1767, it represents the earliest history of the United States as a nation. The home was occupied by the Chew family during a time of exploration, revolution, and establishing a new nation. It is important to note that much of the Chew family wealth created and sustained during the 18th and 19th centuries was founded on investments directly or indirectly connected to slavery .

Cliveden remained the Chew family home until 1972, when the National Trust became steward of the property.

architectural virtual tour

Built in Philadelphia at the dawn of the American Revolution, this stone house is the area’s finest example of Colonial Era Palladian architecture. Built by the prominent lawyer and Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania colony, Benjamin Chew, the structure exemplifies the ideals of the finest Colonial Era architecture.

Interior view of the house with portrait

Occupied by seven generations of the Chew family, Cliveden was improved and updated over the centuries, but for the most part, the décor and architectural detailing remained in keeping with the home’s original design.

Cliveden's 1959 Kitchen

As with many 18th century houses, kitchens were located in buildings separate from the main house. This prefab Mid-Century Modern kitchen was added in 1959 and is located in a colonnade built in 1776 to connect the main house with the original kitchen.

Cliveden

The Cliveden property is an important Revolutionary War site and was briefly occupied by American soldiers during the Battle of Germantown. Today, annual events and re-enactments commemorate this history.

Next up, we visit Lyndhurst , a Gothic Revival “castle” in Tarrytown, New York, built some 70 years after Cliveden. Lyndhurst was home first to New York city mayor William Paulding, then New York merchant George Merritt, and and finally railroad magnate Jay Gould. The home represents America’s growing economic strength during the Industrial Age.

Lyndhurst, Tarrytown, New York

An awe-inspiring Gothic Revival-style castle overlooking the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge, Lyndhurst also features a view of the New York skyline. The property grounds are normally open as a public park, and a comprehensive landscape restoration, which began in 2019, will welcome the public to experience the property as it was originally intended.

The Becoming Tiffany exhibit at Lyndhurst.

In 2018 Lyndhurst offered the special exhibit, “Becoming Tiffany: From Hudson Valley Painter to Gilded Age Tastemaker.” Some of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s most important work was commissioned by inhabitants of Lyndhurst. The exhibit explored the artist’s connections to the property as well other aspects of his work and career.

The restored outdoor seating area at Lyndhurst.

When Lyndhurst began the landscape restoration project, re-establishing seating areas was a high priority. This original 19th-century marble bench was restored and replaced in the landscape where it would have been located during the early 20th-century—the period the restoration project is hoping to re-create.

And for the last site we'll visit as part of our Architectural Traditions tour, let's check out Lyndhurst's neighbor, Kykuit , just three miles away. This home was completed in 1913 for businessman and philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, during what is now known as America’s Progressive Era—a time when people were reacting to the problems caused by industrialization through social activism and political reform.

Exterior of Kykuit with foliage

Located in Tarrytown, New York, with sublime views of the Hudson River, this Rockefeller family home is a one-of-a-kind landmark. Interiors were designed by Ogden Codman and galleries feature the world-famous the Rockefeller collection of art.

Garden pergola with sculpture

The Kykuit landscape features terraced gardens with fountains, pavilions, and classical sculpture. This hilltop paradise has been continuously and meticulously maintained for more than 100 years.

Rear of the estate

The Beaux-Arts style house and the property's elaborate gardens were designed by architect William Welles Bosworth. Together, they are considered Bosworth’s finest work in the United States.

Garden view

Among the notable sculptures in the Kykuit landscape is Max Bill's "Triangular Surface in Space," a twisting sculpture in the shape of a Möbius strip. Installed by Nelson Rockefeller, the piece creates a dramatic focal point at the end of a pergola overlooking the Hudson River.

Clients Say.

Trusted by global brands..

Brands like these trust Plus Render to deliver exceptional visualizations every time.

A 3D virtual tour and a 360 tour are both digital tools used to showcase a space, but there are some key differences between the two:

Immersiveness : A 3D virtual tour is generally more immersive than a 360 tour. In a 3D virtual tour, the viewer can move through the space and interact with objects, while in a 360 tour, the viewer can only look around in a fixed location.

Interactivity : A 3D virtual tour is more interactive than a 360 tour . In a 3D virtual tour, the viewer can click on objects, zoom in and out, and interact with hotspots to learn more about specific features in the space. In a 360 tour, the viewer can only look around and not interact with the environment.

Quality : A 3D virtual tour generally has higher-quality graphics than a 360 tour. This is because 3D virtual tours are created using specialized software for high-quality rendering of textures, lighting, and other features.

Cost : A 3D virtual tour is generally more expensive than a 360 tour. This is because creating a 3D virtual tour requires specialized equipment and software and a higher level of expertise.

Overall, both 3D virtual tours and 360 tours are useful tools for showcasing a space, but the choice between the two depends on the specific needs of the project and the desired outcome. 3D virtual tours are generally more immersive and interactive but more expensive to create, while 360 tours are less expensive but less immersive and interactive.

A 3D Virtual Tour is a simulation of a virtual environment which has been 3D modeled. This simulation is generated by a powerful software representing in great detail the project, providing an interactive, immersive experience.

There are two types of 3D Virtual Tours:

  • 360º Virtual Tours are a set of combined 360-degree views. They allow customers to virtually visit each space in a static 360º view through your property, allowing them to discover more about what you have to offer.
  • Virtual Reality Walkthrough: Viewers are immersed in a fully interactive 3D environment that provides a virtual representation of the building as a whole, including all the interiors, exteriors, and surroundings. The viewer can maneuver freely in this space, understanding the whole proposal on a much deeper level.

Additionally, its interactive interface can allow viewers to change elements/materials/furniture in real-time. Both 3D Virtual Tours can be easily shared with a link or QR code to any device. They are compatible with phones, tablets, computers, and off-the-shelf virtual reality glasses.

It’s both a differentiative marketing tool and a cost-effective design & construction tool. Developers and architects are well aware of the financial pressures that keeping up with the competition places on their businesses. Knowing how to make the most of technology might give you the edge you require. This highly immersive experience allows clients to engage and live the proposal, understanding it from a much deeper level.

On the other hand, analyzing the property before breaking ground prevents unnecessary waste of significant amounts of time and money. It even allows you to make changes in real-time, understanding the solar impact or the use of different materials.

Feel free to Contact Us to understand how it can help you.

Virtual tours are ideal for showing off a property in its entirety because of their immersive experience . They’re highly shareable. A potential customer has to scan a QR code or visit a specific URL, and they can see the property.Virtual tours are time savers. Imagine would-be clients already weeding themselves out and only working with interested customers? That’s the benefit of creating a virtual tour! Analyzing the property before breaking ground prevents unnecessary waste of significant amounts of time and money. It even allows you to make changes in real-time, understanding the solar impact or the use of different materials. Offering virtual tours makes you different. Most developers and architects will have 3D renderings at best, however many have yet to jump on the virtual tour bandwagon. Reduces the amount of back-and-forth between you and customers. The virtual tour gives a very detailed overview of the property, so you’ll have fewer questions to answer.

All our 3D virtual tours are initially based on 2D plans; then we subsequently produce a realistic 3D model. Then, depending on the Virtual Tour type, we can either generate 360º images or a Virtual Reality environment. Find more about what the 3D Modeling & Rendering process could entail by visiting the Workflow section on our Pricing page.

The price is determined based on the number of working hours spent on the Virtual Tour and its complexity. Nevertheless, we want to be as transparent as possible with our clients. The prices are closed and stated on the web to avoid surprises. We want our clients to be in control. You can potentially qualify to receive volume discounts, so be sure to look on our Pricing page or Contact Us for a project estimate.

Let’s Talk.

Don’t worry if you don’t already have a detailed project plan in place. We’ll collaborate with you and develop your idea together.

Big enough to deliver, small enough to care.

House Plans with Video Tours

House plans with video tours faq.

  • What is a house plan video? A house plan video is a visual representation or walkthrough of a home plan that could include exterior views, virtual walkthrough tours, 3D floor plans, professional drone videos, and more. It provides a dynamic and immersive experience, allowing you to virtually explore the layout, design, and features of a house plan.
  • How is a house plan video different from traditional blueprints or 2D plans? Unlike traditional 2D plans or blueprints, house plan videos offer a more realistic and interactive view of the home design. They provide a three-dimensional perspective, making it easier to understand the spatial relationships between different rooms and areas of the house.
  • Where can I find house plan videos? House plan videos are available by clicking the "Watch Video" button or link on the individual home plan page. These buttons are located under the main image and in the sidebar next to the description if a video is available for that particular plan.
  • Can I share house plan videos with others? Yes! You can share house plan videos with family, friends, or professionals involved in the home planning process. Sharing the video can be a useful way to communicate your vision and preferences. When you click "Watch Video," you can click "Share" on the resulting popup and share the YouTube link directly or post it to social media.
  • Are house plan videos available for all home plans? Not all house plans have associated videos.
