Biografie - Luke Mockridge

Luke Mockridge ist in Deutschland vorrangig als TV-Comedian und Comedy-Entertainer mit eigenem Bühnenprogramm bekannt. Der gebürtige Rheinländer, der seinen Erfolg nicht zuletzt seiner authentischen Unverfälschtheit verdankt, ist aber auch als Moderator, Schauspieler, Autor, Musiker und Produzent tätig.

Geboren wird Luke Mockridge im März 1989 als Lucas Edward Britton Mockridge in Bonn. Dort wächst er mit fünf Brüdern als Sohn des Schauspielers und Kabarettisten Bill Mockridge und seiner Frau, der italienischen Schauspielerin und Kabarettistin Margie Kinsky auf. Luke Mockridge besitzt wie seine Geschwister sowohl die italienische als auch die kanadische Staatsangehörigkeit.

Humor als Handwerk hat in der Familie Mockridge Tradition: Im Jahr 1982 gründet Luke Mockridges Vater Bill das Improvisationstheater Springmaus – seine Paten sind niemand Geringeres als die deutschen Comedy-Größen Hella von Sinnen und Dirk Bach. Doch nicht nur komödiantisches Talent ist dem Rheinländer in die Wiege gelegt: Im Alter von 16 Jahren erhält Luke Mockridge vom Fußballverein Bayer 04 Leverkusen eine Einladung zum Nachwuchs-Profi-Training.

Auch in musikalischer Hinsicht ist Luke Mockridge kein unbeschriebenes Blatt: Gitarre- und Klavierspielen bringt sich der junge Comedian selbst bei. Nach dem Erwerb des International Baccalaureate in Bonn studiert Mockridge Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaften in Kanada, England und Deutschland.

Das Studium schließt er 2012 mit dem Bachelor ab – um vom Hörsaal auf die Bühne zu wechseln, denn noch im selben Jahr beginnt Mockridges Aufstieg zum Shootingstar der deutschen Comedy-Szene!

Luke Mockridges Weg vom TV-Gag-Macher zum gefeierten Hallen-Füller

Den Grundstein für Luke Mockridges Erfolg als Comedian und Entertainer legen erste Auftritte in beliebten TV-Formaten wie „NightWash“ oder „TV Total“ im Jahr 2012, die ihn einem breiten Publikum bekannt machen. Kurze Zeit später geht der junge Comedian, der mit seiner natürlichen, gewitzten Art zu begeistern weiß, mit seinem ersten Soloprogramm „I’m Lucky, I’m Luke“ auf Deutschland-Tour.

Die Bühne ist dem Multitalent Mockridge jedoch nicht genug. So ist er auch weiterhin in diversen TV-Shows wie „TV Total” oder der Sat1-Produktion „Jetzt wird’s schräg” zu Gast oder moderiert Events wie die „1Live-Hörsaal-Comedy“.

Im Frühjahr 2014 veröffentlicht Mockridge sein Buch „Mathe ist ein Arschloch: Wie (m)ich die Schule fertigmachte“. Darin wirft er einen hoch amüsanten Blick zurück auf seine Schulzeit und analysiert nicht nur unterschiedliche Lehrer- und Schülertypen, sondern berichtet auch von Ereignissen, die dem einen oder anderen aus der eigenen Schulzeit bekannt vorkommen dürften.

2015 bekommt der Entertainer seine erste eigene, äußerst erfolgreiche TV-Sendung namens „Luke! Die Woche und ich“, für die der Comedian mit Stand-up-Elementen, Promi-Auftritten und Einspielern einen bunten Wochenrückblick inszeniert.

Auch weitere TV-Formate nach ähnlichem Vorbild – beispielsweise „Luke! Die Schule und ich“, „Luke! Die 90er und ich“, „Luke! Die WM und ich“ oder „Luke! Live 2023 „trippy“, olympic hall.

His last live tour "Welcome to Luckyland" was seen by more than 600,000 spectators, now Luke Mockridge is moving back to the stage. With his new programme "Trippy", the comedian, who has won numerous awards, is also coming to Munich - for his usual entertaining and humorous evening full of wonderful absurdities on 16 June 2023 in the Olympic Hall.

Mockridge successfully premiered his first solo programme "I'm Lucky, I'm Luke" at the end of 2012. He also filled the country's large halls with the two further tours "Lucky Man" (2017) and "Welcome to Luckyland" (from 2019).

The comedian has also had great success as an author. In 2014, he published his book "Maths is an Asshole - How (m)I Finished School": a highly amusing personal look back at his own school days. Luke Mockridge also became a regular guest on television when he started his own TV show "Luke! The Week and Me" on Sat. 1. With this show and many other formats under the motto "Luke! ... and I", he thrilled an audience of millions. Highlights and excerpts of his shows can still be seen on the YouTube channel LukeMockridgeTV.

Mockridge has also been regularly honoured with awards since 2013. He has already received the German Comedy Award ten times in various categories, as well as a Bambi, a Grimme Award and the German Television Award. But now he is returning to the stage with his next solo programme "Trippy". To be seen on 16 June 2023 in the Olympic Hall.

The sprawling, mind-boggling metropolis of Russian Moscow has long been one of the theatrical stages on which the great dramas of Europe and Asia have been played out in grand style.
