The Marsamxetto Ferry Service has increased in price by 50% for the trip from Valletta to Sliema. it used to be 95 cents single. It is now €1.50 for a single. Luzzu have started a water taxi service for the same price. You can go when you want and it is quicker. Our first Harbour Cruise was with Captain Morgan.

Traditional Maltese boat tour of the harbour. Jan 2018 • Couples. At the bottom of the Barrakka Lift, as well as large ferries which take large groups of people, there are small traditional boats. These can take you across to the Three Cities for €2 each, or for €8 the guy will take you on a 30 min tour of the harbour.

It was €16 for 90 mins cruise, and went to all the creeks in the 2 harbours - larger boats cannot access the smaller ones, part of the reason we chose Luzzu. We were lucky enough to see someone rowing a small luzzu (fishing boat) in the traditional way, plus the boat that carried Prince William across the harbour when he visited.

Go to the travel shop at the grand harbour in Valletta, Malta for your fags and tabacco and duty free stuff. Fantastic pricing. 200 superkings for £28 and packs of 5 tabacco from £11. Full Harbor Cruise aboard a small colorful Maltese boat called a Luzzu. Several larger boats make the same cruise so take care when signing up which boat you're getting on. We've done both and found the smaller Luzzu a better trip as one can almost touch the water and go further into the creeks. All boats depart from The Strand, Sliema.

We were ataying in Valletta & walked down to get the ferry across to Sliema, and there was a chap at a fold-up table selling tickets for the 2 harbours cruise - he knocked his price down, which I imagine is the norm, and said when we got off the ferry, Luzzu cruises was the nearest yellow umbrella - it was, so easy to find; a boat was there waiting & within 5 minutes of boarding we were off.
