Hydro Lea Lotus Lamp

A Lea Lotus Lamp coming into contact with Hydro will cause it to grow. Along with its growth, its attacks will also have a wider AoE as well as the range of its attacks. This make's it ideal for spreading Dendro damage.

Electro Lea Lotus Lamp

When Electro comes into contact with the Lea Lotus Lamp, its attack speed will increase. This is ideal for applying Dendro more often.

Pyro Lea Lotus Lamp

Pyro coming into contact with the Electro Lotus Lamp will cause it to explode, dealing massive AoE Dendro damage. It's best to use Pyro on the Lea Lotus Lamp only when you know its duration is about to expire

I think Dendro Traveler’s best f2p weapon should be Sapwood Blade. It does provide a huge portion of EM that Iron Sting can provide for most of DMC’s burst uptime, while DMC faces a lot of energy issues, which Sapwood Blade can help cover up. DMC needs like over 200 ER to reliably have burst charged before CD, especially if not teamed with Nahida, and/or favonius users, etc.

Dendro traveler will become the most viable of all 7 because there are already broken hydro, pyro and cryo chars. #remind me in 10 years

Dendro Traveler Guide and Best Builds

Dendro Traveler Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact

The Traveler is the character you start with, being a 5 Star Sword character with no set Element. Instead, you choose the element you want to use. While the Traveler tends to be very simple in design, Dendro is one of the stronger elements to use. They are a great off-field damage dealer and a good unit to support other Dendro characters with when it comes to Energy generation. They are great when used with Bloom, Burgeon, Quicken and Hyperbloom teams.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Dendro traveler's build.

Dendro Traveler's primary function is to apply Dendro so that other on-field characters can trigger Dendro reactions and to act as a battery for other Dendro Characters. The low cooldown on their skill means you have to swap into the Traveler quite often, hence why building some personal damage is still preferred.

The Dendro Traveler is a super flexible character to enable all the different Dendro reactions with. They are not the best at applying Dendro, however this is a unit you get for free, with the only downside being that the Traveler has multiple elements to choose between.

The weapon options for the Dendro Traveler is pretty broad, with two easy to get four star weapons that requires no wishing. Between the weapons, the most important thing is to get enough Energy Recharge to be able to regain 80 Energy for your Burst to maximise its uptime. While the amount of Energy Recharge needed depends on your team, you will need to get somewhere between 160% and 260%. Depending on whether you got another Dendro Character in your party this can differ but generally 160-200% with a second Dendro, 220-260% without. While Freedom-Sworn is BiS for the Dendro Traveler's personal DPS, it does make it a lot harder to attain higher amounts of Energy Recharge.

For artifact choice, Deepwood Memories is the best option if you can benefit from the Dendro Res Shred it provides. It also synergizes very well with the Dendro Traveler's kit, making them an ideal character to use this on for Bloom and Hyperbloom teams. Some teams might want a different setup like Aggravate teams as they benefit a lot from Noblesse Oblige .

Combos and How to Play Dendro Traveler

The Dendro Traveler is super easy to play in general. There are not really any hidden mechanics behind the character or special combos to pay attention to. All you need to make sure of, is that you are able to use your burst on cooldown. As mentioned above, you will need a lot of Energy Recharge to make sure of this. Outside of this, you cycle characters to use their skills and to continue to trigger Dendro reactions. Your Elemental Skill has an 8-second cooldown and generates 2.5 Elemental Particles when it hits an enemy, so make sure to swap back into the Traveler often enough to build up your energy.

The Dendro Traveler works fine in any comp that wants to trigger Dendro reactions of some kind. Whether it be Hyperbloom , Nilou Bloom , Aggravate or Burgeon . The Dendro Traveler's Elemental Burst works really well with any of these reactions, except Pyro initially applying to the Lotuslight Transfiguration . This is due to how the Elemental Burst works, as it reacts with Hydro , Electro and Pyro . The reaction that will happen only happens for one element and only happens once, so if you use the Burst in a Burgeon comp, make sure it wont get hit by Pyro first. If this happens, the Burst blows up and disappears, thus cutting your source for Dendro.

Dendro Traveler's Best Team Comps

Dendro Traveler's main team compositions are typically very low budget, as the character is free. You can also use the Dendro Traveler as a support in quite a few teams to funnel energy for another Dendro character like Nahida or as a cheap fill-in to apply Dendro for Hyperbloom / Aggravate .

Dendro Traveler's Hyperbloom Team

Hyperbloom is a very easy comp to build and get going with. It works by creating the reaction Bloom by hitting a target that has Hydro on it with Dendro or vice versa. This creates Dendro Cores on the ground. These cores will blow up after a set amount of time. Applying Electro to these will use the core in a Hyperbloom reaction, sending out a projectile. The aim of this comp is to use the Dendro Traveler together with any of the Hydro characters above. For the Dendro Traveler, this involves using their Elemental Burst, then swap them out. For the Electro application, if you use Fischl , she will not be a Driver, as you only use her Elemental Skill to apply Electro. Here you can use the Flex slot to swap in Nahida or back into the Dendro Traveler. Below is a budget comp as well, for those who are either new or do not have a large portfolio of characters.

Dendro Traveler's Budget Hyperbloom Team

A budget version of a Hyperbloom team would be the Dendro Traveler, Barbara, Lisa and Collei. These characters work well enough to trigger Hyperbloom on a budget level. From there you can swap out characters as you collect new ones. Otherwise it works the exact same as the team above. It is a very burst centric comp, outside Barbara who applies Hydro with her Skill, so make sure to get enough Energy Recharge on all characters.

Dendro Traveler's Quicken/Aggravate Team

Electro is the shining part of this comp, triggering Quicken and then Aggravate by applying Electro again. As in any other comp with the Dendro Traveler, you spend very little time on the Traveler just using them for their Elemental Burst. Between the Traveler and the Electro Driver you use, you can choose either 1 or 2 characters in the Flex slot. If you use 1, then you can fill in the empty slot with another Dendro Character.

Dendro Traveler / Nilou Bloom

This team is very specific. Outside of Nilou and the Dendro Traveler, the last slots are filled with either Hydro or Dendro Characters. This is because Nilou has special mechanics that only work when there is at least 1 Dendro character with her and the rest of the party only being either Hydro or Dendro. Head over to her page if you want to know more about how she works.

In this comp, you most likely want another Dendro character to help with the generation of Bountiful Dendro Cores. You also want to have a character who can heal, making a character like Yaoyao very good as she is a Dendro Healer.

Dendro Traveler's Ascensions, Talents and Constellations

Dendro traveler's ascension passives and materials.

The Dendro Traveler requires a range of materials to ascend to the 6th ascension. Starting from the second ascension he/she gains additional ATK as bonus stat giving a total of 24% increased ATK at the final ascension. The total cost to upgrade all ascensions is:

Dendro Traveler's Talents

Listed below is each talent and a brief explanation of how they work.

Due to how the Traveler works, the cost of upgrading your talents is different from all other characters. All 3 Talent materials are in use in different amounts, as each upgrade will require a different kind. To level a single talent to 10 costs:

Dendro Traveler's Constellations

Since you can get all of these Constellations by grinding, getting all 6 is preferable. You gain them throughout the Sumeru Archon quest, one at the end of Act II, IV and V and you gain one when you attain level 3, 5 and 7 with the Statue of the Seven in Sumeru.

In this article, I’ll be going over everything you need to know about the Dendro Traveler, including their playstyle, best artifacts, weapons, teams, and more.

Despite previous iterations of the Traveler, with their new Dendro affinity, the Traveler has locked in a spot as a go-to Dendro support in the current Genshin Impact Meta providing AoE Dendro application in the form of their burst, with unique gameplay interactions with certain elements.

Active Talents

Normal attack – foreign fieldcleaver.

Same attack string for the traveler as always. 5 hit sequence with relatively low scaling. Irrelevant for his playstyle and not required to level this whatsoever as his kit/role is more off-field centric.

Elemental Skill – Razorgrass Blade

When cast, it deals Dendro DMG in a sort of cone shaped AoE. Fairly standard skill that applies 1U Dendro and it is mostly used to generate particles for your burst. (2.5 particles) Has decent scaling and can potentially do more DMG by unlocking your A4 talent passive.

Elemental Burst – Surgent Manifestation

Upon casting, it creates a Lea Lotus Lamp that deals Dendro DMG to opponents with the AoE of its field. When coming into contact with an Element, (Hydro/Electro/Pyro) the Lamp will go under certain changes known as a transfiguration.

The transfiguration goes as follows:

  • Hydro: The AoE of the Lamp AND its attacks are increased.
  • Electro: The Lamp’s ATK SPD is increased
  • Pyro: The Lamp will explode and disappear, dealing AoE Dendro DMG

Regarding the most useful transfiguration, Hydro seems to be the most effective, while Pyro transfiguration being the worst as it effectively just griefs your Dendro Application. Electro transfiguration might seem good on paper, but even with the increased ATK SPD, it still follows ICD rules meaning increased ATK SPD does not equal more Dendro App. Hydro Transfiguration increases the AoE which allows for a wider range of application, giving you more AoE potential.

Additional notes:

  • Performing a Hydro transfiguration will trigger Bloom and create a Bloom seed
  • The Lamp applies 0.4 GU Dendro

Character Talent Priority

Here’s a quick talent priority for Dendro Traveler.

Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack

The Traveler’s Burst is mostly what you want to prioritize if you are planning on leveling their talents at all. Keep in mind, if their only role is supplying Dendro application, these can be kept fairly low.

They only should be leveled if you want to maximize their DMG contribution. If that is not the case, then leaving them low leveled is completely fine and the Traveler will still perform their role well.

Character Best Combos

Since Dendro Traveler is primarily an off-field support, they have no combos worth mentioning.

Passive Talents

Ascension stat.

As you ascend Traveler, he will gain ATK%.

1st Ascension: Verdant Overgrowth

Lea Lotus Lamp will obtain one level of Overflowing Lotuslight every second it is on the field, increasing the Elemental Mastery of active character(s) within its AoE by 6s. Maximum 10 stacks.

A nice addition to the Traveler’s kit due to their supporting nature and the teams he’s played in. At max stacks it gives the active character in the AoE 60 Elemental Mastery which can be relevant depending on the team.

For example, in a Keqing Aggravate comp, it’s an appreciated source of EM when Keqing is played on field proccing Aggravates. Note that with constellation 4, you gain 5 stacks upon cast.

4th Ascension: Verdant Luxury

Every point of Elemental Mastery the Traveler possesses increases the DMG dealt by Razorgrass Blade by 0.15% and the DMG dealt by Surgent Manifestation by 0.1%.

Adds a very straightforward synergy with the Elemental Mastery stat. Nothing much to be said here. When maximizing personal DMG, this synergy is something to keep in mind. For the most part it is quite negligible, due to the Traveler’s role mainly just being a form of sustained Dendro Application.

Utility Passive: None

Constellations.

Genshin Impact Traveler Male Portrait

Since the Traveler is the main and free character of the game, as you progress through the story, you will obtain materials to fully max out the Constellations.

We’ll still cover how each constellation impacts the kit, as the free upgrades are always nice to have.

  • C1: Low Impact
  • C2: Medium Impact
  • C3: Low Impact
  • C4: Medium Impact
  • C5: Low Impact
  • C6: Medium Impact

Constellation 1: Symbiotic Creeper

After Razorgrass Blade hits an opponent, it will regenerate 3.5 Energy for the Traveler.

This constellation is quite okay. A small quality of life change although it leans more towards negligible and you still need to meet a relatively high ER requirement for the most part.

Constellation 2: Green Resilience

Lea Lotus Lamp’s duration is increased by 3s.

Decent constellation that allows for longer sustained AoE Dendro application. Effectively, it enables you to take advantage of the increased duration in terms of reaction value.

Constellation 3: Whirling Weeds

Increases the Level of Razorgrass Blade by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15

Constellation 4: Treacle Grass

After the Lea Lotus Lamp triggers a Lotuslight Transfiguration, it will obtain 5 stacks of the Overflowing Lotuslight effect from the Passive Talent “Verdant Overgrowth.” You must have unlocked this Passive Talent first.

Another decent constellation that immediately gives you 5 stacks after triggering a transfiguration. Effectively getting you closer to max stacks which gives you 60 Elemental Mastery in total for the active character within your burst. Again as mentioned in the talents section, potency of this passive/constellation is team dependent. However overall, it is still an appreciable constellation.

Constellation 5: Viridian Transcience

Increases the Level of Surgent Manifestation by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Constellation 6: Withering Aggregation

The Dendro DMG Bonus of the character under the effect of Overflowing Lotuslight as created by the Lea Lotus Lamp is increased by 12%. If the Lamp has experienced a Lotuslight Transfiguration previously, the character will also gain 12% DMG Bonus for the corresponding element.

Straightforward DMG % bonus for the character under your burst AoE. The Dendro DMG Bonus being appreciable in Hyperbloom/Spread triggers while the Transfiguration DMG bonus can be appreciated by non-Dendro characters within their respective Dendro teams, depending on the Transfiguration setup.

The Dendro Traveler is mainly an off-field support in Dendro reaction teams, providing sustained Dendro Application for their respective reactions. Keep in mind due to our limited access to Dendro supports at the moment, the Traveler’s value in Dendro teams is quite high. However, that definitely could change in the future.

4 Piece Deepwood Memories

Genshin Impact Deepwood Memories Gilded Dreams

The ideal artifact set for a supportive role in Dendro reaction centric teams. (Bloom, Spread, etc.) The Dendro RES shred is relevant in Bloom and Spread teams as well as being relatively easy to maintain uptime.

4 Piece Instructor

If you happen to have access to this 4 star set, it is a solid alternative on certain teams. Mainly in aggravate teams where your focus is more geared towards the aggravate DMG of your Electro characters, to where the team-wide EM buff is greatly appreciated.

Placeholder Artifact Sets

2pc + 2pc (mix n match)

The Traveler can benefit from 2 piece set bonuses such as Emblem of Severed Fate, along with either another Energy Recharge 2 piece bonus like Exile, or a 2 piece Deepwood Memories. Keep in mind these should be placeholders for the aforementioned 4 piece sets. Keep in mind, these placeholder options are mainly for burst uptime and not so much DMG centric.

  • Circlet: Crit/Elemental Mastery
  • Sands: Energy Recharge/ Elemental Mastery
  • Goblet: Dendro DMG Bonus

Regarding your sands, I’d almost always recommend an Energy Recharge sands in solo Dendro UNLESS you happen to meet the relative ER requirements through substats somehow. Your Goblet is straightforward and Circlet can be Crit if you need it to proc Favonius sword.

Here’s the order of sub stats to prioritize:

Energy Recharge

  • Elemental Mastery
  • Crit Rate/DMG

In solo Dendro, I’ve found that around 200-220 is doable with Favonius sword + decent play. I’d recommend getting as close as you can to 250 for reliable comfort.

5-Star Weapons

Freedom sworn .

This sword itself is very good and can be an option on the Traveler for team buffing value. However, there are better users for this weapon overall and losing the Energy Recharge you would get from an ER weapon hurts your burst uptime. If you happen to have this weapon along with enough Energy Recharge from other sources, go crazy. However that may not be the case for most players.

4-Star Weapons

Favonius sword.

One of the Travelers best options in general while providing great utility. Being the solo Dendro in most teams, getting uptime on your burst is quite difficult. Favonius sword provides much needed rotational comfort as well as particles for your team. The massive Energy Recharge stat that it gives is greatly appreciated as well. Overall, this weapon should definitely be considered most of the time.

Sapwood Blade

Quite the decent option if your Favonius Sword is already being used or simply just an alternative. Provides less Energy Recharge in exchange for a passive that gives the on field character that picks up the generated leaf, 60 elemental mastery at R1. (120 EM at R5) Overall, it is a weapon that can be considered when experiencing no burst uptime/rotational issues.

Sacrificial Sword

If you are unable to use any of the aforementioned 4 stars, this sword can be considered. It provides the same amount of Energy Recharge as Favonius Sword, and can help with particle generation at high refinements.

As far as teams go, the Traveler at the moment is a staple Dendro support in any Dendro related teams simply due to the fact that our Dendro options currently are few and far between. That being said, compared to the likes of Collei/Tighnari, Dendro Traveler allows for more sustained Dendro Application and more flexible rotations making Traveler more valued in certain scenarios.

Keep in mind, these teams could change due to future releases, so use these team templates as more or less alternative solutions rather than optimal.

Hyperbloom Teams

Genshin Impact Dendro Traveler Hyperbloom Team

One of the only Dendro slot -in for Hyperbloom teams and effective nonetheless. Provides you with sustained off-field Dendro Application/Seed Generation in order for your Electro unit to proc Hyperblooms.

An Anemo unit such as Sucrose is also optimal here for grouping and also triggering Hyperblooms with Electro swirls. As for Electro units you have options as well. Kuki Shinobu is able to interact with the seeds themselves off-field with her skill pulses. Fischl and Yae Miko, while not being able to target the seeds, deal solid DMG along with applying consistent off-field Electro for your Anemo unit to Electro Swirl.

Aggravate Teams

Genshin Impact Dendro Traveler Aggravate Team

The Traveler fills a very straightforward role in Aggravate teams as well. Simply applying off-field Dendro for Quicken in order for your Electro Units to Aggravate.

His DMG is negligible on this team so you can opt to use alternative artifacts sets such as Instructors, instead of the Deepwood Memories set which would only shred Dendro for the Traveler.

Your flex slot will most likely be an Anemo unit for VV shred/ grouping.  Overall, a very solid option in Aggravate teams currently.

Burgeon Teams

Genshin Impact Dendro Traveler Burgeon Team

Again, the Traveler in Burgeon teams fill a straightforward Dendro Application role. Something worth noting is that Burgeon as a reaction is quite tricky. You will absolutely need a unit with relatively slow Pyro application in this comp as too fast of application can potentially lead to Burning which you do NOT want.

On top of that, with the Traveler’s Transfiguration mechanic and its interaction with Pyro, it could potentially grief your entire rotation if you are not careful. All of these factors contribute to Burgeon slightly falling off compared to the aforementioned teams.

However, it can still be a completely functional team with the right units/setup. The reason Thoma is actually quite optimal here is due to his slow Pyro application which actually has some benefit here.

Genshin Impact Traveler Artwork

Finally, the Traveler has an opportunity to shine in the current Genshin Impact Meta. As of now, their overall value is quite nuanced due to our limited Dendro options.

However, they do their job very well in current Dendro teams nonetheless. Given his ease of access, the Dendro Traveler is valuable for anyone looking to build a comp around Dendro reactions.

Keep in mind their value is tied to future Dendro supports and their relevance but even despite all of this, the Traveler will always be a solid Dendro support that is accessible for anyone and everyone to build.

The best Genshin Impact Dendro Traveler build - Dendro Traveler weapons, artifacts, and F2P options

The Dendro Traveler's skillset makes the main character more useful than usual

The best Genshin Impact Dendro Traveler build makes the default main character actually worth using. HoYoverse seemingly addressed some of the major issues that plagued the last two Traveler variations, with shorter cooldown timers and skills designed to deal higher damage. You may want to roll on the Tighnari banner or focus on Collei builds , but the Dendro Traveler is a viable option if you want to save your Primogems and materials for something else.

How do I get the Dendro Traveler?

Like changing to other versions of the Traveler, you only need to interact with a Statue of the Seven in Sumeru to acquire their Dendro form, which you can do as soon as you enter Sumeru in Genshin Impact 3.0. Choose to “Resonante with Dendro,” and the Traveler will automatically change their elemental affiliation.

This option will remain even after Genshin Impact 3.0 ends, and it isn’t time sensitive like a traditional character banner.

Also like other versions of the Traveler, you can swap to any of their other available elements by resonating with a Statue of the Seven in another region.

Is the Dendro Traveler good?

Dendro Traveler build: The Traveler fires a spray of leaves at a human enemy

Yes, unlike the Electro and Geo Traveler, the Dendro Traveler’s skills are designed to make them a strong elemental DPS character. Razorgrass Blade, their elemental skill, fires a spray of leaves in front of them and deals heavy Dendro damage, and best of all, it has a comparatively short cooldown timer.

Their burst creates a lotus lamp that initially deals Dendro damage in a broad area and transforms if you use certain elements on it. Hydro increases the lamp’s area of effect, Electro makes it deal damage more quickly, and Pyro causes it to explode.

Both abilities scale with elemental mastery , so not only do you boost the skills’ base power, but any reactions you trigger with the Traveler get a potent boost as well. Even if you don’t raise Tighnari or Collei, you can still do quite well for yourself just with the Dendro Traveler.

What is the best Genshin Impact Dendro Traveler build?

Given how important elemental mastery is to the Dendro Traveler’s abilities, your best bet for building them is focusing on that stat in some form.

Best Dendro Traveler sword – Freedom-Sworn Sword

The Freedom-Sworn Sword is technically the best weapon for the Dendro Traveler. Its secondary stat gives a significant boost to elemental mastery, while the passive skill increases all damage dealt and, when you meet certain conditions, adds a further boost to attack.

Since the Traveler is never quite as good as five-star characters, though, you may not want to use such a rare sword on them. If so, Sacrificial Sword is another strong choice. Its secondary stat raises energy recharge, and the passive skill has a high chance of ending the user’s skill cooldown time.

The Favonius Sword is another useful option. While it doesn’t end cooldown timers, it does almost guarantee the user’s energy gauge stays full.

Best Dendro Traveler Artifacts – Gilded Dreams

Gilded Dreams is the ideal pick for an elemental mastery focus, especially if you end up using a sword without elemental mastery buffs.

  • Two-piece effect: Raises elemental mastery by 80
  • Four-piece effect: After triggering an Elemental Reaction, attack increases by 14 percent for each party member whose elemental type is the same as the equipping character, and elemental mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different elemental type.

Even with just the two-piece effect and one character of a different element, you get close to a 20 percent damage increase on the Traveler’s elemental skill. Add substats and weapon stats into the equation, and you end up dealing quite a bit of damage with just the skill alone, without factoring in reaction damage.

If you want a more straightforward build, you could use the full Deepwood Memories set instead.

  • Two-piece effect: Raises Dendro damage by 15 percent
  • Four-piece effect: Reduces enemy Dendro resistance by 30 percent after the user hits them with an elemental skill or burst

The Dendro buff and debuff still make the Traveler’s skills quite powerful, even if you don’t get the associated increase in reaction damage.

What is the best Dendro Traveler F2P build?

Dendro Traveler build: The Traveler runs away from a large mechanical monster in an open field

The Dendro Traveler’s F2P build is actually a bit easier to work with thanks to two strong craftable weapons.

Best Dendro Traveler F2P weapon – Sapwood Blade

Sapwood Blade is a new craftable Sumeru weapon that checks all the right boxes. It has high base attack and energy recharge as a secondary stat, and the passive skill boosts elemental mastery by 60 if the user triggers a Dendro reaction.

There’s still no word on how you can get Sumeru billet items, and it seems like we’ll be waiting until Genshin Impact 3.1 for a new weekly boss. However, you can exchange Northlander Billets for the new Sumeru billets.

Iron Sting is a strong alternative if you already have one. It boosts elemental mastery almost as much as the Freedom-Sworn Sword and increases all damage dealt when the user deals elemental damage.

Best Dendro Traveler F2P Artifacts – Gilded Dreams

Since it’s easier to boost elemental mastery with the Dendro Traveler’s F2P build, we’re picking Gilded Dreams for this build as well. Just bear in mind that returns from elemental mastery start dropping off after 500 or 600, so if you use Iron Sting and Gilded Dreams with a varied elemental party, you don’t need to focus on getting elemental mastery substats on your artifacts.

Dendro Traveler

Dendro Traveler Build Guide

Traveler will gain Dendro power upon interracting with Statue of the Seven in Sumeru. Electro Traveler usually used as energy recharge support, but this role can be replaced completely if you have Raiden Shogun.

Dendro Traveler – Dendro Support Build

Dendro traveler works best as dendro support, applying dendro with elemental skill and burst. Supported by new set of artifacts and luckily, fully compatible with newly craftable weapon: Sapwood Blade.

Make sure to reach 180% Energy Recharge before investing to other stats/substats.

Additional Notes

Artifact Main Stats & Substats

Dendro Traveler Best Team

Dendro traveler work best with bloom+hyperbloom and aggravate+quicken elemental reactions (more read here ).

Burning isn’t included because when Lotus Lea Lamp (burst product) met pyro it will explode and dissapear, just one time damage. Resulting less damage compared to other dendro reactions.

Quicken + Aggravate Team

Quicken Aggravate Team

For quicken and aggravate team, dendro traveler can work with most electro dps character: Keqing , Fischl , Yae Miko , etc. Recommended to use 2 electro character for High Voltage elemental resonance.

High Voltage Elemental Resonance

For this example, I’m using Keqing as main dps, Fischl OZ as sub dps, and Jean as healer. Change any slot with your desired character. For example, change Jean with Kazuha to gather enemy in one place, change Fischl with Kuki Shinobu to fill healer role, etc.

Bloom + Hyperbloom Team

For hyperbloom team, required elemental resonance is 2 Dendro for Sprawling Greenery elemental resonance. while the other resonance, depend on what team you have.

Sprawling Greenery Elemental Resonance

For example, IF you are using character like Nilou , Yelan , or BOTH . You might want to use 2 hydro character in your team for it’s extra 25% HP since both Nilou and Yelan DMG scales off their HP.

Soothing Water Elemental Resonance

But IF you are using other Hydro character as Bloom executor, you can ignore Soothing Water elemental resonance.

With that in mind, here’s example of recommended bloom and hyperbloom team:

Best Nilou Team

For this example, I’m using dendro traveler + collei (free from previous event) for quick apply dendro, Nilou as DPS, and Kokomi as sub dps and healer. Kokomi DMG and healing also scales off her HP so having 2 hydro for extra 25% HP is a boost.

When you play Genshin Impact for the first time, you're given a choice to select between two twins, Lumine and Aether . This will be your main character in the game, the Traveler . Canonically, Hoyoverse has made Aether the main character, while Lumine plays the role of the other twin in the storyline.

RELATED: Genshin Impact: Best Builds For Tighnari

The Traveler has the ability to resonate with any element in Teyvat as far as you interact with the Statue Of The Seven in the nation of the respective element . Sumeru is the fourth main region in the game, allowing you to get access to Dendro Traveler.

  • Weapon - Mistsplitter Reforged
  • Artifact Set - Deepwood Memories

Since you're using the Traveler with a certain element, it is only fair for your first instinct to be to make a build around elemental damage . Luckily, Dendro Traveler has a ton of applications for their element , making it possible to base an entire build around that part of damage output.

The artifact set required for this piece is undoubtedly Deepwood Memories . Every artifact set has a special bonus when you put together two or four of its pieces. The bonuses provided by this artifact set are as follows:

  • Two-Piece Set: Increases the Dendro DMG dealt by 15 percent.
  • Four-Piece Set: Hitting an opponent with Elemental Skill or Burst decreases their Dendro RES by 30 percent.

This artifact set unlocks when you get to Sumeru, which can be a long way away if you've just started playing the game. Currently, you can also get this set from the special boxes you get after clearing a particular Abyss floor for the first time .

As for the weapon, the elemental damage build definitely fits perfectly with the Mistsplitter Reforged . This weapon was released alongside Kamisato Ayaka and is currently her signature weapon. Since Traveler can't deal Dendro damage on normal attacks, this weapon can give them up to a 28 percent Dendro DMG bonus at refinement one .

With the correct artifact set and weapon, the Traveler can deal significantly more damage with their Elemental Skill and Burst, which can further be increased by applying the Burst with Electro, increasing its attacking speed for the entire duration . With their sixth constellation, you can get another 12 percent Dendro DMG bonus .

This build relies on the Traveler dealing a ton of damage, which is also dependent on your ATK percent, Elemental Mastery, and the Crit ratio . Thankfully, the weapon has up to 44.1 percent Crit DMG making it easier to get the perfect ratio.

  • Weapon - Freedom-Sworn
  • Artifact Set - Gilded Dreams

While it's fun to see the Traveler dish out a ton of Dendro damage, it's even better to see multiple damage numbers because of the sheer amount of reactions you can trigger with their skill set. The Elemental Burst stays on the field for 12-15 seconds, making it perfect to trigger Dendro reactions.

Further, when you look at their passive and active talents, it's obvious that a little reaction build is incentivized by the developers . Firstly, their Elemental Burst allows you to buff it in different ways using Hydro, Electro, or Pyro on it and their buffs are as follows:

  • Hydro: Increases the area-of-effect for the lamp formed after using the Burst and its attacks.
  • Electro: As mentioned above, this increases the attacking speed of the lamp.
  • Pyro: Being the destructive element that it is, Pyro explodes the lamp after a short delay, dealing damage in the area.

You will notice that with every single buff, the Dendro DMG dealt by the Burst is increased . This allows for various Dendro reactions to occur along with this. Further, her passive talent Verdant Overgrowth increases the active character's Elemental Mastery within the Burst AoE.

The second passive talent, Verdant Luxury also increases the Traveler's Elemental Skill and Burst damage based on their Elemental Mastery , making it perfectly combined with the build.

To buff this even further, Freedom-Sworn can give an immense damage boost to the active characters whenever you trigger two Dendro reactions with any element. This works the best if the characters with the other element have a ton of damage output from Normal, Charged, or Plunging attacks.

Finally, Gilded Dreams will increase your Elemental Mastery even further because you'll be using characters with elements other than Dendro for this team, giving you up to 230 raw EM for free if you have the four-piece set .

  • Weapon - Sacrificial Sword
  • Artifact Set - Emblem of Severed Fate

Most of the Dendro Traveler's damage comes out of their Elemental Burst . While the Elemental Skill can also deal damage, it can only be used once every 12 seconds at the base level, and it has one-time damage. On the other hand, Burst deals damage continuously for a few seconds .

Having a run-time of up to 15 seconds, the Burst also has a cooldown of 20 seconds. With this build, you'll most likely have your Burst ready by the time it comes off cooldown . Sacrificial Sword has a big play in this and is a very important part of this build because of its passive.

Apart from giving you 61.3 percent Energy Recharge at the maximum level , it also allows you to use your Elemental Skill twice, giving you double the particles. Apart from this, Traveler's first constellation also provides extra energy whenever you use your Elemental Skill .

You have a 40-80 percent chance of getting an extra Elemental Skill with the Sacrificial Sword. This becomes higher with the refinement of your weapon, making it essential to have multiple copies of it . Since it's a four-star weapon, this can be much easier with a bit of luck.

Since you are going to have a lot of Energy Recharge with this build, Emblem of Severed Fate automatically becomes the best choice . The four-piece set increases your Elemental Burst damage based on your Energy Recharge, which is also increased with the two-piece set.

There are multiple possible set bonuses that can be useful on the Traveler based on the build you're going for, and this is the same for their stats . Here are the artifact main stat and sub stat priority for the main character:

While every other playable character in the game comes with six talents, the Traveler is special and only comes with five of them . The last passive with every character usually doesn't affect in battle. Regardless, the main character still has three active Talents that can be upgraded by ten levels.

While the ascension level is shared by the Traveler across all elements, the Talents are different with each one of them, and thus need to be upgraded differently . As for Dendro Traveler, her Elemental Burst is the definite first choice to upgrade no matter what build you're going for.

This is followed by Elemental Skill, and then you can upgrade your Normal Attack talents if you like the character , but it's not required since you'll never use her basic attacks.

Here are the constellations for Dendro Traveler that can be acquired for free by playing through the game and exploring:

  • Symbiotic Creeper - Regenerates extra energy whenever the Elemental Skill hits an opponent.
  • Green Resilience - Increases the duration of the lamp made by Elemental Burst by three seconds.
  • Whirling Weeds - Increases the level of Elemental Skill by three.
  • Treacle Glass - When you apply Electro, Pyro, or Hydro to the Elemental Burst, it instantly gives you five stacks of the Verdant Overgrowth passive.
  • Viridian Transience - Increases the level of Elemental Burst by three.
  • Withering Aggregation - The Dendro DMG Bonus of the characters inside the Elemental Burst with Verdant Overgrowth passive applied increases by 12 percent. Further, if you apply the Burst with an element, the DMG Bonus for that element is also increased by 12 percent.

traveller build dendro

With Sumeru now accessible to all Genshin Impact players, Travelers can now resonate with Dendro. Currently, the Traveler can use four out of the seven elements: Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro. To add to the fun, maximizing the most out of each Element requires tweaks to your Traveler build. This is for my fellow handful of Traveler mains, because Dendro Traveler is fantastic.

Genshin Impact Fungal Spore, Luminescent Pollen, and Crystalline Cyst Dust Farming Guide | Genshin Nelotpala Lotus Farming Guide | Genshin Impact Rukashavva Mushrooms Farming Guide

Best Position – Dendro Support

Indicated in the Traveler’s Dendro Talents, Traveler has an emphasis on Energy Recharge. This suggests that Dendro Traveler should be used to constantly apply Dendro to enemies and should rely on dealing Dendro DMG.

The Traveler’s Dendro Elemental Skill – Razorgrass Blade – functions in a similar way to their Electro one. The Skill releases a wave of three Dendro shots, but does not provide bonus Elemental Particles for the Traveler’s Burst. But the Skill can do some good damage if you boost the Traveler’s Elemental Mastery. Razorgrass Blade’s DMG increases by 0.15% for every point of Elemental Mastery the Traveler possesses.

Best Weapons

5 star – freedom-sworn.

The Freedom-Sworn increases Elemental Mastery by a set value, which will boost Dendro Reactions created by the Traveler. It also increases DMG by a percentage. When Freedom-Sworn triggers Elemental Reactions, its wielder gains a Sigil of Rebellion once every 0.5 seconds. This can occur even if the character isn’t on the field.

Once the character has 2 Sigils, they’ll be consumed to increase nearby party members ATK by a percentage and Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by a percentage. This bonus lasts for 12 seconds. After consumption, the character will not gain any Sigils for 20 seconds.

Essentially, Freedom-Sworn automatically boosts Elemental Mastery and DMG. It will then increase ATK, Normal, Charged, and Plunging for a certain amount of time after triggering Elemental Reactions. Since Dendro Traveler should be creating as many Dendro Reactions as possible, Freedom-Sworn’s bonuses play into the Traveler’s usage.

Skyward Blade receives an honorable mention for its Energy Recharge boost, but its Weapon Skill can be better used by a Main DPS.

4 Star – Festering Desire or Iron Sting

Probably the best 4 Star sword in the game, the Festering Desire was an event exclusive weapon from the introduction of Dragonspine. Festering Desire increases Energy Recharge, Elemental Skill DMG, and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by a percentage. So this plays into cutting down on Traveler’s Burst cost and increasing Traveler’s Dendro DMG as much as possible.

If you don’t have the Festering Desire, you can also use the Iron Sting. As a craftable sword, Iron Sting is much easier to refine and ascend. Iron Sting increases Elemental Mastery by a set value. When dealing Elemental DMG, the sword increases all DMG by a percentage for 6 seconds. It allows for a maximum of two DMG stacks that can occur once every second.

Honorable mentions include Favonius Sword and Sacrificial Sword.

3 Star – Skyrider Sword

The Skyrider Sword’s Passive Skill grants a bonus percentage of Energy Recharge. When using an Elemental Burst, Skyrider Sword grants a 12% increase in ATK and Movement SPD for 15 seconds. The percentage goes up depending on the weapon’s Refinement. This will help cut down on the Traveler’s high Burst cost, especially for a C0 Traveler.

Best Artifact Sets

Overall, you should equip artifacts with Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Dendro DMG Bonus, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG. This applies to both main stats and substats. Good luck.

traveller build dendro

This is one of two new Artifact Sets introduced in Sumeru. At 2 pieces, Deepwood Memories grants a 15% Dendro DMG Bonus. At 4 pieces, it reduces opponents’ Dendro RES by 30% for 8 seconds after they’re hit with an Elemental Skill or Burst. The character equipped with Deepwood does not have to be on the field to trigger the Dendro RES effect, making it perfect for the quick changes you’ll do with Dendro Traveler.

You can farm for Deepwood Memories in the Domain, Spire of Solitary Enlightenment. This is the Domain on the border of Liyue and Sumeru, just west of The Chasm. It’s also an easy Domain to unlock and access before even getting to Sumeru City.

The second of the two new Sumeru sets, Gilded Dreams is the other Artifact Set available through the Spire of Solitary Enlightenment. As the secondary set, you may have more luck farming for this set over Deepwood.

2 pieces of Gilded Dreams increases Elemental Mastery by 80 points. At 4 pieces, it grants buffs to its equipped character within 8 seconds of that character triggering an Elemental Reaction. For party members with the same Elemental Type as the Reaction, Gilded increases their ATK by 14%. For characters with a different Elemental Type, their Elemental Mastery is increased by 50. Each buff will apply to up to three characters that fit its criteria. The effect can be triggered once every 8 seconds and the equipped character doesn’t need to be on the field.

2PC Deepwood Memories & 2PC Wanderer’s Troupe

This combination grants the Traveler a 15% Dendro DMG Bonus as well as 80 Elemental Mastery. Because Elemental Mastery points directly increases Razorgrass Blade’s DMG, this combination is best if you want Dendro Traveler to function more as a Sub-DPS (or you just like seeing big green numbers).

Equipping 2 pieces of Gilded Dreams will do the same thing, so you have two options for increasing Elemental Mastery. Just choose from whichever set has better substats. Most likely, it will be Wanderer’s Troupe since it’s a common boss drop among the regular and weekly bosses.

2PC Deepwood & 2PC Emblem of Severed Fate

This combination lends itself more to a true Support build, since 2 pieces of Severed Fate increases Energy Recharge by 20%. Emblem will contribute to reducing the Traveler’s Elemental Burst as much as possible, allowing for more frequent Dendro AoE via the Lea Lotus Lamp. Generally speaking, equip Wanderer’s Troupe for more damage. Equip Emblem for more frequent Bursts.

If you’re pulling for Tighnari as your Dendro Main DPS or if you want to use Collei, try experimenting with how Dendro Resonance affects your team.

One of your other two teammates should be elements that react with Dendro – Electro, Hydro, and Pyro. Since there are two slots open, doubling up on one of the three available elements may be useful.

Alternatively, you can fill the remaining spot with Geo for shields or Anemo for Swirls Reactions. Sumeru has a lot of water lying around, making Hydro infused Swirls very easy to create.

Teammates for the last two spots include Xiangling, Bennett, Thoma, Tartaglia, Kokomi, Fischl, and Kuki Shinobu.

Instead of going for the Dendro Resonance, this team focuses on creating different Elemental Reactions. Instead of completely maximizing your Dendro Reactions, this team build allows for more variance in characters and Elements. For example, instead of double Dendro and double Electro, you can swap Collei or Tighnari for a Hydro character. This makes it possible to trigger Bloom and Electro-Charged reactions.

In this team, the Traveler should mostly be used for off-field damage or constant application of Dendro for reactions. Otherwise, you can have fun with whatever you want, like freezing enemies with Cryo and Hydro or going for additional Swirl damage. A team of Xingqiu, Traveler, Kaeya, and Thoma is a good place to start.

From weapon and artifact recommendations to suggested teammates, Here's how to build the strongest Dendro Traveller in Genshin Impact.

Quick Links

Recommended artifacts, recommended weapons, recommended teams.

The Traveller in Genshin Impact has access to many different elements and abilities, both of a defensive and offensive nature. Of the various different elemental variants players build, the Dendro Traveller may be the very best.

Related: Genshin Impact: Dori Best Builds, Weapons & Teams

Dendro Traveller is a great Support or Sub-DPS unit for any type of Dendro team, especially for free-to-play players who might not have stronger Dendro characters such as the formidable Nahida . Dendro is, overall, versatile and effective to use, and it's natural that many players would be interested in focusing their party and protagonist around it. Here's how to build a Dendro Traveller (sometimes called DMC) to support these teams.

Building DMC (or a similar Dendro support character) is rather easy, as both of their best sets are obtained from the same domain.

4-Piece Deepwood Memories:

Most Dendro characters will run Deepwood Memories, DMC included. The 2-Piece Set Bonus will simply increase Dendro DMG by 15% while the 4-Piece Set Bonus will decrease opponents' Dendro RES by 30% for 8 seconds when they are hit with an Elemental Skill or Burst , which can occur even while the character is off-field.

This set is great for increasing the character's damage as well as that of reactions such as Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom or Burgeon, as the damage from all of these reactions is considered Dendro damage.

4-Piece Gilded Dreams:

T he Resistance shred from the 4-Piece Deepwood Memories set does not stack if two characters use it . If fans are playing DMC with someone who is already using the Deepwood set, then, it will be better to build them with a 4-Piece Gilded Dream set instead. The 2-Piece Set Bonus will increase the character's Elemental Mastery by 80. The 4-Piece Set Bonus will increase the character's ATK by 14% for every other character of the same element in the party, in the seconds after an elemental reaction, while also increasing the character's Elemental Mastery by 50 for every character of a different element type.

This will usually result in a 14% ATK Bonus for one other Dendro character and 100 Elemental Mastery from having two different elements in the party, plus the 80 from the 2-Piece Set Bonus. Elemental Mastery is important for increasing the damage from elemental reactions.

Unless the DMC is a team's main DPS, they don't need a lot of Elemental Mastery, as they won't be triggering most of the reactions. Elemental Mastery is recommended as a focus over ATK, however.

Related: Genshin Impact: Collei Best Builds, Weapons & Teams

Most of DMC's Dendro Application will come from their Elemental Burst, so they will need a lot of Energy Recharge to consistently have their burst available (About 180+) . This means that a lot of the free-to-play weapons in particular will be very good for them. Here are a few stand-out weapons that they can use to great effect.

Freedom Sworn:

The best 5-star weapon for DMC. At Level 90, Freedom Sworn has 608 Base ATK with a sub-stat of 198 Elemental Mastery. The weapon's passive will increase DMG by 10%. Additionally, when the character triggers an Elemental Reaction they will gain a Sigil, which can be obtained every 0.5 seconds. Once the character gains two of these Sigils, they will be consumed to increase Normal, Charged and Plunging Attacks by 16% and increase ATK by 20% for 12 seconds. Once this effect is triggered the character cannot gain any more Sigils for the next 20 seconds.

Freedom Sworn is Kaedehara Kazuha's signature weapon and is featured on weapon event banners beside him.

As more of a support character, a Dendro Traveller may not particularly need a 5-star weapon, and it may be better spent on other characters.

Sacrificial Sword:

This sword will be a great option for DMC and is a standard weapon, making it available on any banner. Sacrificial Sword has a Base ATK of 454 and a sub-stat of 61.3% Energy Recharge. The passive of the weapon gives the character a 40% chance to reset their Elemental Skill cooldown when they hit an opponent with the skill, once every 30 seconds. This can reach up to a 100% chance once every 16 seconds as the weapon is refined.

This blade is great for helping the Traveller with their Energy Recharge, thanks to its sub-stat and its passive allowing them to use their skill more often (which will create more particles).

Another good option in this particular area is the Favonius Sword, which will also increase the character's Energy Recharge and will allow them to create more Energy particles from critical hits.

Iron Sting:

A crafted weapon available to players from the beginning of the game, Iron Sting is a great free-to-play weapon for DMC. At level 90, the Base ATK sits at 510 with an Elemental Mastery sub-stat of 165, while its passive will increase damage by 6% for 6 seconds after the character deals damage . The Elemental Mastery sub-stat of this weapon will help to increase the Traveller's reactionary damage. However, it will create a higher need for Energy Recharge in the Artifacts, so that they can use their burst.

Related: Genshin Impact: Thoma Best Builds, Weapons & Teams

DMC works well as a support in any Dendro reaction team. This team focuses on increasing Keqing (already very strong indeed) and Fischl's damage through the use of Aggravate, while Jean shreds Electro resistance with a 4-Piece Viridescent Veneerer set while also offering healing for the team.

This team can be adjusted in many ways. Replacing any one character with a Hydro applier will allow the team to trigger Bloom and Hyperbloom. Here are a few of the many characters that can be place into this team, thereby offering similar functionality while supporting the player's preferences in this expansive adventure .

Best Dendro Traveler build in Genshin Impact – Weapons, Artifacts, & more!

Image of Michaela Schulte

The fourth time's the charm, right? It may be for this iteration of the Traveler's elemental powers in Genshin Impact. They are one of a few characters who wield the new Dendro element. Is it worth your time to level their skills? Read on and find out.

Dendro Traveler's Playstyle in Genshin Impact

The Dendro Traveler is all about their burst, Surgent Manifestation. It's probably the most involved burst we've seen from the Traveler yet. The Traveler plants a lamp on the field that will change mechanics based on which element, Hydro, Electro, or Pyro, it comes into contact with first. Plan to use them as a sub-DPS unit that plants the Lamp and switches to a Hydro, Electro, or Pyro main DPS. As a sub-DPS unit, they can provide quite a bit of damage, which is a nice change.

Dendro Traveler's Best Weapons in Genshin Impact

traveller build dendro

A four-star weapon tends to fit best on the Traveler, mostly because five-star weapons are best saved for other characters. We recommend the  Favonius Sword  to maximize its burst uptime. Dendro is all about reactions, so another option you could consider is the  Iron Sting . Its Elemental Mastery substat helps to boost the many Dendro reactions that occur if you pair the Traveler with a hydro and electro unit. If you really, really want to give the Traveler a five-star sword, try the  Skyward Blade .

Dendro Traveler's Best Artifacts in Genshin Impact

The Deepwoods Memories artifact set is geared toward Dendro characters, particularly support characters, making this a great choice for your Dendro Traveler. You could also make do with a Noblesse Oblige set as it helps many burst support characters. Try to find artifact pieces with as much Energy Recharge and CRIT rate as possible. A Dendro damage goblet will be your best choice as well.

Foreign fieldcleaver.

  • Perform up to five rapid strikes.
  • Consumes a certain amount of stamina to unleash two rapid sword strikes.
  • Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE damage upon impact.

Elemental Skill: Razorgrass Blade

  • With a flourish of your blade, you unleash a spray of razor-sharp leaves that go before you and deal Dendro damage.

Elemental Burst: Surgent Manifestation

You create a Lea Lotus Lamp by calling upon the might of the flora all around you. This Lamp will deal continuous Dendro DMG to opponents within its AoE.

  • Hydro : the Lamp’s AoE and the AoE of its attacks are increased.
  • Electro : the Lamp’s attack speed is increased.
  • Pyro : the Lamp will explode after a short delay and then disappear, dealing AoE Dendro damage.
  • The Lea Lotus Lamp can only undergo one Lotuslight Transfiguration in its duration.
  • Only one Lamp created by the Traveler can exist at any one time.
  • Lea Lotus Lamp will obtain one level of Overflowing Lotuslight every second on the field, increasing the Elemental Mastery of active character(s) within its AoE by six. Overflowing Lotuslight has a maximum of 10 stacks.
  • Every point of Elemental Mastery the Traveler possesses increases the damage dealt by Razorgrass Blade by 0.15% and the damage dealt by Surgent Manifestation by 0.1%.

  • Lea Lotus Lamp‘s duration is increased by three seconds.
  • Increases the Level of Razorgrass Blade by three. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • After the Lea Lotus Lamp triggers a Lotuslight Transfiguration, it will obtain five stacks of the Overflowing Lotuslight effect from the Passive Talent: Verdant Overgrowth. You must have unlocked this Passive Talent first.
  • Increases the Level of Surgent Manifestation by three. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • The Dendro damage bonus of the character under the effect of Overflowing Lotuslight, created by the Lea Lotus Lamp, is increased by 12%. If the Lamp has experienced a Lotuslight Transfiguration previously, the character will also gain a 12% damage bonus for the corresponding element.

What you need to build the Dendro Traveler in Genshin Impact

If you haven't ascended your Traveler's level, we've got a handy  farming guide  to help. You'll also need to visit one of the Statues of the Seven in Sumeru with the Traveler as your current character to  resonate with Dendro . You'll have to level all of the Traveler's skills from scratch (yes, the normal attack again, too), which requires  all three Sumeran talent level-up materials ,  fungal spores ,  Mudra of the Malefic General , from the Raiden Shogun weekly boss, and  Crowns of Insight  if you choose to max any skill.

Best teammates for the Dendro Traveler in Genshin Impact

While a "nuclear" build sounds fun, your best teams will probably use the Traveler to support an Electro or Hydro main DPS, characters such as Keqing , Kamisato Ayato , or Raiden Shogun . You can use other Dendro, Hydro, or Electro supports such as Collei , Xingqiu , or Kuki Shinobu to complete the team.

Traveler (Dendro) Quick TL;DR Support Build Guide

Table of Contents

WEAPON #1 (Recommended for best Reactions): Freedom-Sworn

Weapon #2 (recommended for 4-star supp): sapwood blade, artifacts (recommended for best buffs): gilded dreams.

traveller build dendro

A very straightforward skill that does decent damage and covers a wide area. Just a few things to note:

  • E will generate 2.5 particles , no matter how many enemies it hits. It’s later increased to 3.5 particles at C1
  • Has a CD of 8 seconds , and applies Dendro to all enemies within the cone

It’s not the most amazing skill, but does a decent job quickly applying Dendro.

traveller build dendro

Lea Lotus Lamp stats:

  • Has a duration of 12s, but increases to 15s at C2
  • Attacks once every second, but it will only target one enemy at a time within the field
  • Each attack is a small AoE explosion, so can hurt nearby enemies of the target
  • Has an internal CD of 2.5s, meaning it can only proc a reaction every 3 hits
  • 80 energy cost with a 20s CD

Traveler’s kit has always been strongly focused on team synergy, and Dendro Traveler’s burst is no different. It constantly applies Dendro, allowing for a lax gameplay if you’re running a reaction based comp.

Applying an element to the Lamp grants it a “ Lotuslight Transfiguration ,” which changes the properties of the lamp.

  • Hydro = Increases the field and AoE of Lamp’s attacks
  • Electro = Increases the Lamp’s ATK SPD
  • Pyro = Lamp will charge up and explode, dealing massive AoE Dendro DMG
  • Lamp can only be infused by ONE element per use . I.E.: once it’s infused with an element, it’s going to stay that way until it expires.

From testing, you’ll get the most value out of either Electro (more hits during duration) or Pyro (large AoE DMG) infusions. Keep in mind of the Pyro infusion to apply it near the end to still benefit from the regular attacks.

traveller build dendro

Essentially the Lamp gains a “Overflowing Lotuslight” stack every 1s, which boosts the EM of the active character by 6 EM. It caps at 10 stacks, meaning you can obtain a max of 60 EM.

Only condition is your character must be within the Q’s field . Stepping in and out will refresh the stacks.

traveller build dendro

The conversion is per 1 EM = .15% E DMG and .1% Q DMG.

So if you have 200 EM, that means:

  • 200 x .15 = +30% DMG buff for E
  • 200 x .10 = +20% DMG buff for Q

It’s not a bad thing to build EM on Dendro Traveler, as you’ll most likely get the most out of them from an EM comp anyways – also since Traveler has large AoE and easy-to-play kit that fits into those type of comps.

Talent Leveling Order: Q > E > NA (don’t need to really level NA)

How do I get it D: ? – It’s time to roll boys (gacha)

traveller build dendro

Freedom-Sworn is arguably the BiS for Dendro Traveler for two main reason: it provides a crap ton of EM and provides buffs for your whole team . Not to mention the free 10% DMG overall you receive from the weapon itself. It’s essentially a perfect fit for any Support who wants to boost their own reaction DMG, while subsequently boosting their team’s overall damage as well.

Skyward Blade is a good contender for the ER% alone, as Dendro Traveler’s burst is a hefty 80 cost and his particle generation is horrible. While the free CRIT% is appreciated, it’s not really useful if you’re focusing on an EM build as reaction damage doesn’t benefit from CRIT values.

Dendro Traveler doesn’t really have many options among the 5-stars, as usually prioritized values like CRIT and ATK don’t really fit an EM scaling character.

How do I get it D: ? – Forge (Midlander Prototype x1, Crystal Chunk x50, White Iron Chunk x50)

traveller build dendro

Sapwood Blade is a new forgeable weapon introduced with Sumeru that is practically made for Dendro Traveler. Not only does the weapon provide some much needed ER% (up to 30.6%), the weapon skill also provides 120 EM for any character that picks up the buff (think like Guoba’s chili pepper buff). Since Dendro Traveler’s Q will most likely trigger any of the 7 Dendro-based reactions, you’re guaranteed to generate this buff quickly. It’s a must have for EM/reaction focused comps.

You can get Sapwood by doing a small questline for an NPC called “Aravinay” in the Vanarana city in Sumeru.

Iron Sting falls into the same category, but centralized more on boosting Traveler’s DPS than their team’s. the 165 EM provided from the sword + the overall 24% DMG bonus can be really helpful for when your rotation has downtime or messes up!

Sacrificial and Favonius Sword purely for the ER% they provide, as Dendro characters are currently limited to 3, and all of them have horrible particle generation. Sacrificial > Favonius purely due to the fact your Traveler is highly unlikely to CRIT (as you should be building them for EM). This will allow Traveler to reset their 8s E CD and use it in succession.

How do I get it D: ? – Spire of Solitary Enlightenment Domain (AR 22 Locked, 20 Resin per run)

traveller build dendro

4x Gilded Dreams is essential for EM reaction comps as it provides an easy EM buff. Basically, after proc’ing an elemental reaction, Traveler will receive ATK and EM buffs based on their elements. So if Dendro traveler has 4x Gilded that means other Dendro characters on the team will receive a 14% ATK buff and a 50 EM buff for every different type of element.

Lets say you have Dendro Traveler/Tighnari/Bennett/Jean.

That means Traveler would receive a 28% ATK buff (14% x 2) , and would receive 150 EM buff (50 EM x 3 – Dendro/Pyro/Anemo).

You can see how strong this can be for reaction comps, which typically will run 2-3 different types of elements.

However, if you’re not running a heavy EM based comp, then 4x Deepwood Memories will do just fine for an ATK/CRIT Traveler.

If you somehow bum rushed to Sumeru, then you can use either 4x Exile for the additional energy regen, or 4 x Instructor for the EM and reaction damage.

Main stats:

Only run ER% Sands to hit around 170% ER (MINIMUM) if you don’t have a battery in your comp!

Substats: ER% > EM > CRIT Values > ATK%

If you want other characters let me know. Hope this helped. Bye.

> So if Dendro traveler has 4x Gilded that means other Dendro characters on the team will receive a 14% ATK buff, while everyone receives an 50 EM buff for every different type of element.

That’s wrong, though. The set’s owner gets the buff. That’s why Gilded Dreams are more for DPS (well, those, who’ll trigger the reaction), while Dendro support should be more than fine with Dendro set. Even better with Bloom/Burgeon/Hyperbloom as they do Dendro damage and the set shreds Dendro res.

Ah guess I didn’t distinguish the text well enough. Thanks for the catch, will edit.

Your guide will misguide people into making the wrong and i’ll quickly explain why.

1- EM does boost Traveler kit and it’s true Dendro units so far, does scale with EM but there’s 1 crucial factor you forgot. EM has a Diminishing return that is up to around 300-400 EM EM > Crit Dmg. However once you hit that spot, Crit Dmg will let your dendro traveler do more dmg, there’s another reason why Crit is important , Crit can actually happen on Dendro-related reaction also if you’re building a Dendro-focus team with 2 dendro, you need to account for the EM bonus from the sync, so that’s why i said 300-400, ofc ER remains important since traveler has an 80 energy requirement.

So the correct Order is 170/200 ER ( Fav OR Sacrificial / Another other weapon ) > Below 200 EM – EM > Above 200 EM C.Dmg / C.Rate > ATK%

As you can see ATK% is the least required stat since ONLY pure Dendro damage that does scales with ATK% all the reactions are based on your Crit / Level and EM and not with ATK%. I hope this will help you write better guide in the future. I highly suggest you to do some research before making post. You’re the only guide that does recommend ATK% on traveler.

Not entirely sure where in the guide I’ve recommended ATK% other than the comment of “4x Deepwood Memories will do just fine for an ATK/CRIT Traveler” at the bottom. Sure, EM is the optimal, but there are plenty of players who just do build w/e they want (hence why in a lot my guides I always recommended vice-versa in case there are the few stray builders). If you’re referring to the ATK% explanations from the gear sets, that’s just that — and explanation of what bonuses are received.

Also not entirely sure if you’ve seen the bottom portion going into artifact stats, but I do clarify that they need to hit the 170 ER% minimum (in capslock too at that).

Also to note your “correct order:” most people will not be hitting the diminishing value of that 300-400 EM range you described unless they min-maxed their artifacts. Suitable to running an EM comp (lets say they run an EM mule like Sucrose), then they’re bound to be in that range regardless (unless their Sucrose is poorly built). I’m fairly certain you’re referring to the diminishing value sheet on both the wikia and in the KQM server, but I don’t think you’ve read the details of it either. So your point of “ER takes priority, but there is still a chance of hitting DR on 300-400EM” makes no sense.

But thanks for the effort. Feel free to rebuttal if you have another point to make, but I highly recommend reading the full guide before commenting on the accuracy (ironically).

The Best Dendro Traveller Build in Genshin Impact

Image of Brady Klinger-Meyers

If you’ve been rather unlucky with winning top-shelf, 5-star characters in Genshin Impact, rejoice because you already have one. It’s the very same character you start the game with, aka the Traveller. Instead of wasting precious resources trying to get a 5-start character, why not build on the one you already own? Here’s what the best Dendro Traveller build is in Genshin Impact.

What Is the Best Dendro Traveller Build in Genshin Impact? Answered

male and female traveller in genshin impact

Even 5-star characters have strengths and weaknesses in Genshin Impact , and the Dendro Traveller isn’t any different. The best build for the Traveller is one that brings their damage up to Sub-DPS standards while significantly leaning into their natural support stats.

  • Weapons : Freedom-Sworn or Iron Sting
  • Artifact : Deepwood Memories x4
  • Main Stats : Sands, Goblet, and Circlet
  • Secondary Stats : Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, Crit DMG, Crit Rate
  • Constellation : Viatrix/Viator

There is some leeway in which main stats and secondary stats you’d like to mix and match, so pick the best combination on hand. For example, if you have a Circlet with Crit Rate, then pair it with Crit DMG. However, if you pick up Sands, it’s best to stack Energy Recharge % rather than Elemental Mastery.

Freedom-Sworn sword in Genshin Impact

As for the weapon, it really comes down to two choices: Freedom-Sworn or Iron Sting. It depends entirely on how you choose to play Genshin Impact. Are you hesitant to spend money? Then go with Iron Sting. If you’re fine with the gacha mechanics, then aim for the Freedom-Sworn, though Sacrificial Sword is always a good backup, too.

There you have it: the best Dendro Traveller build in Genshin Impact. Keep in mind that the Traveller isn’t going to excel as Main DPS, but their Dendro reactions and Elemental Burst are phenomenal when paired with a top-tier Main DPS character like Collei, Sprout in the Thicket . Traveler (Dendro)

traveller build dendro

A traveler from another world who had their only kin taken away, forcing them to embark on a journey to find The Seven.

Base Stats

  • After Chapter III: Act I of the Archon Quest, the Traveler obtains exactly 3 Base ATK permanently across all Elements, regardless of their level.
  • Aether Normal Attacks
  • Lumine Normal Attacks

Normal Attack: Foreign Fieldcleaver Icon

Normal Attack Performs up to 5 rapid strikes.

Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.

Plunging Attack Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

  • Aether is the male Traveler.
  • MV/s are calculated using the shortest possible frames without any animation cancels, for different cancels see below .
  • Lumine is the female Traveler.

Razorgrass Blade Icon

With a flourish of your blade, you unleash a spray of razor-sharp leaves that go before you and deal Dendro DMG .

You and Paimon observed the flowing edges of grass and leaf.

  • It can hit a Ruin Guard's Weakspot.

Surgent Manifestation Icon

Calling upon the might of the flora all around you, you create a Lea Lotus Lamp. This Lamp will deal continuous Dendro DMG to opponents within its AoE.

Lotuslight Transfiguration The Lea Lotus Lamp will undergo the following changes after it comes into contact with Hydro / Electro / Pyro :

  • Hydro : the Lamp's AoE and the AoE of its attacks are increased.
  • Electro : the Lamp's ATK SPD is increased.
  • Pyro : the Lamp will explode after a short delay and then disappear, dealing AoE Dendro DMG . The Lea Lotus Lamp can only undergo one Lotuslight Transfiguration in its duration.

Only one Lamp created by the Traveler can exist at any one time.

You and Paimon studied the sounds of plants that sprout after the rain.

  • The Spread's total damage is calculated with the snapshotted A4 DMG Bonus% for that Lamp tick.
  • Lotuslight Transfiguration can't be triggered by auras on characters or enemies (except the AoE spreading part of Burning auras on enemies), it can only be triggered by Elemental attacks from characters and enemies.
  • Zero damage attacks can trigger Lotuslight Transfiguration , but zero gauge attacks can't.
  • Hydro: within 0.15s before or 0.37s after any tick.
  • Electro: within 0.87s after the 1st tick or between 1.15s and 1.75s after the 1st tick.
  • The Lea Lotus Lamp spawns ~1m directly in front of DMC in whatever direction they're facing.
  • The radius of the Lea Lotus Lamp AoE is ~3 abyss tiles without Hydro Transfiguration and ~5 with Hydro Transfiguration.
  • It can also hold a Frozen aura and be Shattered.
  • Summons such as Oz and Guoba will target an untransfigured Lamp when there are no enemies nearby, but will target the enemies otherwise.
  • DMC snapshots 2 Mistsplitter Reforged stacks on Burst cast.
  • The Lea Lotus Lamp holds a Dendro aura, and when it undergoes a Hydro Lotuslight Transfiguration , it produces a Dendro Core with the Hydro applier as the trigger.
  • By applying Electro shortly after one of the initial ticks of the Lea Lotus Lamp , it will get a third hit just before 2.5s and have an an extra element application.
  • Aether (Other)
  • Lumine (Other)
  • Aether Skill
  • Lumine Skill
  • Aether Burst
  • Lumine Burst
  • Tick 1 hitmark: 97f
  • Default (C2): 11 total ticks, 1.5s DoT interval
  • Electro Transfiguration (C2): 17 total ticks, 0.9s DoT interval
  • Pyro Transfiguration hitmark: 60f
  • Tick 1 hitmark: 93f
  • Pyro Transfiguration hitmark: 61f

Ascension Passives

  • Ascension 1
  • Ascension 4

Verdant Overgrowth Icon

Lea Lotus Lamp will obtain one level of Overflowing Lotuslight every second it is on the field, increasing the Elemental Mastery of active character(s) within its AoE by 6. Overflowing Lotuslight has a maximum of 10 stacks.

  • A1 timer starts when the Burst is casted, not when the first tick hits, so 1 stack is applied to the first tick.

Verdant Luxury Icon

Every point of Elemental Mastery the Traveler possesses increases the DMG dealt by Razorgrass Blade by 0.15% and the DMG dealt by Surgent Manifestation by 0.1%.

  • A4 is calculated as DMG Bonus%.
  • A4 doesn't get DMG Bonus% from Sucrose's A4 EM sharing.
  • A4 snapshots the EM that DMC has when they go off-field and updates it when they come back on-field.

Constellations

Symbiotic Creeper Icon

After Razorgrass Blade hits an opponent, it will regenerate 3.5 Energy for the Traveler.

  • C1 generates 3.5 Energy regardless of the number of enemies hit.

Green Resilience Icon

Lea Lotus Lamp 's duration is increased by 3s.

Whirling Weeds Icon

Increases the Level of Razorgrass Blade by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Treacle Grass Icon

After the Lea Lotus Lamp triggers a Lotuslight Transfiguration, it will obtain 5 stacks of the Overflowing Lotuslight effect from the Passive Talent "Verdant Overgrowth." You must have unlocked this Passive Talent first.

  • The 5 stacks from C4 are applied to the 2nd tick even if the Lamp is transfigured before the 1st tick, and its timing is independent from regular A1 stacks (which stays 1 per second).

Viridian Transience Icon

Increases the Level of Surgent Manifestation by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Withering Aggregation Icon

The Dendro DMG Bonus of the character under the effect of Overflowing Lotuslight as created by the Lea Lotus Lamp is increased by 12%. If the Lamp has experienced a Lotuslight Transfiguration previously, the character will also gain 12% DMG Bonus for the corresponding element.

  • Dendro DMG Bonus starts when the Lamp is placed down and ends when it disappears, but it does not apply to DMC's Burst since it snapshots slightly before C6 starts.
  • Hydro/Electro/Pyro DMG Bonus starts as soon as the Lamp is transfigured and ends when it disappears (in the case of Pyro it's about 2 seconds in total).
