Made our trip perfect

We used Walkers for a trip from Colombo, Kandy, Ella, Udawalawe and Galle with our 5 yo. The communication from Dan our guide (not his Sri Lankan name!) was friendly and welcoming. We were met at the airport with smiles and enthusiasm, the tour carried on this way throughout. We travelled in a beautiful air conditioned people carrier and were joined on some of the trip with Lavindu, we were absolutely spoilt with local knowledge. Nothing was too much for these guys and they added extra bits into our itinerary we wouldn’t have known about, which we loved experiencing. Sri Lanka is such an amazing place to visit but our guide made it even better. Thank you so much for such a perfect 10 days and will be recommending you to everyone!

This was our 1st visit to Sri Lanka & we had a fabulous trip. Walker Tours communicated extremely well prior to leaving home & were very accommodating with what we wanted to see. We had a fabulous driver who we highly recommend- Gihan. He was friendly, chatty, spoke good english & gave us lots of information about the history, all the way up to the current situation in Sri Lanka today. He also negotiated prices for us so we wouldn’t be ripped off on touristy things like seeing a cobra come out of a basket to music! We felt extremely safe at all times & saw an incredible amount of Sri Lanka in 8 days. We would probably recommend a minimum of 10 - 12 days as our trip was a bit rushed. There is a lot of driving to get to see all the fabulous sights but the scenery a long the way makes it worthwhile. Overall, Walkers Tours were well priced, highly organized & reliable. We would recommend them to anyone going to this fabulous country for the first time & requiring knowledgeable professionals to get you around.

This was our first ever visit to Sri Lanka and booked via Trailfinders who use Walkers Tours as their local in country drivers and guides We were picked up at the airport by the local Walkers rep who stayed with us throughout our stay. Harry was our guide and he really helped to make our stay as fulfilling, informative and as fun as possible. We were taken from hotel to hotel, encouraged to see as many sights as possible and all with the benefit of Harry’s insight into the history of Sri Lanka and a spotlessly clean car We had an itinerary already laid out when we initially booked and Harry gave us other options too whilst also accepting that we sometimes just wanted to have some down time and appreciate some of the beautiful hotels we were staying in He really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay and even kept in touch once he left us at our final hotel to make sure everything was OK. A true gentleman who helped make our time special

Walkers Tours are the local agent in Sri Lanka for Trailfinders and they are excellent! We had our own vehicle and driver, Harry for our whole tour around this amazing country. Harry was excellent as our driver. He has over 30 years experience and seems to know everyone! Consequently he is very knowledgeable and pointed out many things of interest on our journeys. We visited Habarana, Sigiryia, Kandy, Ella, Yala and Bentota seeing some beautiful scenery, temples and to our delight many elephants!

There was so much to see we could easily have spent more than two weeks there. Our excellent guide and driver Greshon, who was brilliant, very knowledgeable on geography, history, flora and fauna, was a major factor in our enjoyment. Places like the Botanical gardens in Kandy needed more time. We particularly liked the Jetwing hotels with their environmental approach to energy conservation. The Radisson in Kandy was below the standard of the other hotels. We added in a three hour train journey up to the tea region. This should be a standard element of the itinerary. We would love to go back and see more...................
