No matter what your budget is you can always just grab a map and go on an excursion through your favorite city. If you’re still not sure where to start, this selection of walking tours across the Golden State will make your decision a little easier to make.

Aside from the picturesque views of the Sacramento River, the historic district offers you an array of museums, restaurants, shops, and attractions. A few of the most fun things to do in Old Sacramento are visiting the California Automobile Museum , the California State Railroad Museum , and Fanny Ann’s Saloon , and dining at the Firehouse Restaurant — the restaurant was once the Sacramento No. 3 firehouse, and today is a California historic landmark .

Testimonials of our tours in cali.

Good Food Tour! Really good food tour, loads of food included in the prices, would definitely recommend 🙂
Great to ur with JP! What a great experience, and a great deal. I love street food tours for a way to get to taste things but also, of course, you’re walking and you get a lot of history and chat along the way. So much fun, and enough vegetarian options that I didn’t feel too out of place (which would’ve been fine, so it was a pleasant surprise!). And the tour was very reasonably priced for how enjoyable it was.
A must do tour in Cali Bolor P “We did both walking tour and food tour. It was an amazing experience. We loved the guides, stories and places they took us. If you are in Cali you must do this.”
A must in Cali! Probably the best walking tour we did in all of Colombia! Not as dry and dull as other tours. A great mix of street food and background information of Cali!
Highly recommended! Jem Alex  “This tour is amazing and so good I did it twice. I learnt so much about Cali’s history, street art and food. Highly recommended.
Street Food Tour Best street food tour I have ever done easily. Plenty of food and is well organized
Fantastic! This tour is fantastic and a must do when you’re in Cali. I originally took this tour 7 years ago when backpacking and loved it so much I booked it again when I came back with a friend.

Local News | Redlands Area Historical Society offers walking tour of Eureka Street

Author

The Redlands Area Historical Society offers a walking tour of part of Eureka Street starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27.

The tour, covering the 700 block of Eureka Street through the 500 block, begins at Eureka Street and West Palm Avenue and will end where Eureka Street and Home Place intersect.

Fee is $10 for Redlands Area Historical Society members and $15 for nonmembers, payable at the beginning of the tour.

Tom Atchley and Ron Running, board members and former presidents of the Historical Society, will lead the tour.

The 700 block of Eureka has late 1950s houses and a few built in the early 1960s. Most of those houses are California Ranch style, with attached garages.

The 600 block of Eureka is the Dike and Logie subdivision built mostly in the 1920s. Andrew Dike and John Logie also subdivided the Yucaipa Valley beginning in 1909, according to a news release from the Redlands Area Historical Society.

The Arts and Crafts movement is evident in the architecture of the houses in the 600 block.

The 500 block of Eureka Street is designated a historic district, with houses built by Garret Huizing beginning in 1909. The bungalows have cobblestone garden features and front-porch pillars.

15 injured in tram accident at Universal Studios

A group of amusement park visitors were injured Saturday evening in a Universal Studios tram accident near Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. PT Saturday and transferred 15 patients to hospitals with minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol said a tour was underway at the studio in Universal City and the tram was making a turn following the "Jurassic Park Cars" attraction.

"Due to unknown reasons, while negotiating the turn onto Avenue M, the last car of the tram collided with a metal guardrail on the right side of the roadway causing it to tilt and eject multiple passengers from the tram," the agency said.

The injuries were evaluated as "minor to moderate," the highway patrol said. Neither drugs nor alcohol are being considered as factors.

A spokesperson for Universal Studios Hollywood confirmed the accident in a statement and said a tram collided with a guard rail while it was turning left.

"Our thoughts continue to be with the guests who were involved, and we are thankful that based on agency reports, the injuries sustained were minor," the statement said. "We are working closely with public agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, as we continue our review of the incident and safety remains a top priority."

Universal said the Studio Tour has resumed "with a modified route" and the park is "reinforcing our operational and safety protocols."

An ambulance on the scene of a tram crash at Universal Studios

Universal Studios is owned by NBC News’ parent company, NBCUniversal.

According to the park’s website, the tram tour is set to celebrate its 60th anniversary Friday.

The Universal Studios Tour offers park visitors a chance to ride a tram through behind-the-scenes locations of some of the studio's famed films while tour guides impart some of the history of the lot.

Many of the locations are still used for filming, so the locations may change. A consistently popular attraction includes re-creations of scenes such as a "Jaws"-style shark attack.
