What happens to my credits/points, FunPlay and Players Bank when sailing on a back-to back cruise?  The perks (FunPlay, Drinks On Us), credits/points and players bank do NOT roll over to the second cruise; the guest must cash out the last night prior to debarkation of the first cruise. Once the new voyage begins, the guest starts with a new bank and new set of perks (if applicable) and must cash out the last night prior to debarkation.  Can I use my onboard account (Sail & Sign card) to get funds in the casino? Yes, there is no charge at the slot machines for using your onboard account card to access funds. For any transactions done at a table game or the Casino Cashier’s Desk, there is a small service fee of 3% each transaction. You can charge on your Sail & Sign card to play in the casino as follows:

  • Non-event cruises: $5,000 USD per day
  • Invite-only cruises (Premier / Ultra / Premier Plus / Getaway / Tournaments):  $7,500 USD per day
  • Elite cruises:  $10,000 USD per day

I left a balance in my Player Bank - how do I get it back? Funds in excess of $25 USD will automatically be mailed to guests. The outstanding balance check takes anywhere from 8-10 weeks after the day of debarkation to arrive at your mailing address on file.  If the check is not received after the 10 weeks, please submit a new request to oceanplayersclub.com/contact/balance-request/ .  Ocean Players Club will review your case regarding the check.

What happens if I take my casino chips home with me? Casino chips and tokens are only valid on board. Please ensure that these are cashed out prior to vessel debarkation. Any chips or tokens taken ashore are to be considered souvenirs and may not be valid on a subsequent cruise. If I win, do I have to pay taxes? We are required to file an IRS form W-2G for all slot jackpots of $1,200 USD or more and for all table game jackpots and payouts where the odds paid are 300 to1 or higher (e.g. some poker progressives and royal/straight flushes). There is normally no tax withheld on slot jackpots if the winner can provide a valid Social Security Number. If you are unable to provide a valid Social Security Number, however, we are required to withhold taxes at a rate of 29%. All table game payouts subject to tax reporting are also subject to withholding at a rate of 26% (29% if a valid Social Security Number cannot be provided). These tax guidelines are for citizens and permanent residents of the United States only. Do you provide Win/Loss Statements? Yes we do. To obtain a Win/Loss Statement, visit oceanplayersclub.com/contact/win-loss-report/  and choose ‘Request a Win/Loss Report’. This will be the only way to request this information – telephone requests will not be accepted.

I have further questions about the casino, who can I contact? For further inquiries please visit carnivalplayersclub.com .

Free Carnival Cruise After Casino Loyalty Program Status Match

Carnival Players Club Fun Match Program

Match hotel elite status to casino loyalty programs, could you be cruising for free, final thoughts.

We may be compensated when you click on product links, such as credit cards, from one or more of our advertising partners. Terms apply to the offers below. See our Advertising Policy for more about our partners, how we make money, and our rating methodology. Opinions and recommendations are ours alone.

Who wouldn’t love a free cruise? Thanks to a status match offer from Carnival Cruise Line, you could receive a free cruise once you do some very simple legwork upfront.

If you upload proof of your casino loyalty program status to Carnival’s website, you may receive an offer for a free cruise in return.

The key is to match to as many casino programs as possible, showing Carnival that you’re a loyal customer and have the potential to gamble, even if you’ve never really gambled before or have no interest in it.

Examples of casino loyalty programs include:

  • B Connected
  • Caesars Rewards
  • Grazie Rewards
  • MGM Rewards
  • myRewards Boarding Pass
  • True Rewards
  • Wynn Rewards

Hot Tip: Learn more about Carnival Cruise Line in our detailed review of its ships, destinations, dining, its VIPF Club, and more!

If you have a particular hotel elite status — whether you stay in hotels often or earn status based upon a credit card — you can “match” that hotel status to another program’s elite tier (see our ultimate guide to hotel loyalty program status matches and challenges for full details).

For example, if you’re a World of Hyatt Globalist , you may be able to match to Ceasars Rewards Diamond status , the highest tier in that program. Then, you may be able to take your newly earned Ceasars Rewards Diamond status and match it to another casino loyalty program. Matching to more than 1 program may get you more than 1 status, and you’re then able to leverage those new status levels by uploading to the Carnival website.

Carnival Cruise

After uploading your proof of status to Carnival’s website, you’ll likely be offered a discount on a future cruise, ranging from $50 to $500 , but reports indicate that after a few days you may be sent an offer for a free cruise .

You’ll likely be able to take your free cruise anywhere — from Hawaii to Europe — though you’ll be responsible for unavoidable taxes and fees, which may add up (depending on the cities you visit).

Proceed with caution, however, as you’re not necessarily guaranteed a free cruise. Even after uploading proof of your status levels, it’s possible for Carnival to not match your status.

This is certainly a generous offer, and it doesn’t require a lot of upfront work. Since a free cruise is on the line, and there are few limits as to where that cruise can be, you’ll want to consider earning or matching into a casino loyalty status and then providing that proof to Carnival so that the company can invite you onboard one of its ships for free.

Carnival Players Club Premier Offer....is it worth it

Received an email for an offer to book with a Carnival Players Club Premier offer. Has anyone used this and was the extra money worth the perks you received

The cost of the cruise is comparable to other rates, but you get perks for booking a premier.  The cocktail party, the gifts, Drinks on us in the casino, special drawings and slot tournament, not to mention the Fun Play.  The down side is that a lot of the drawings are at times that would interfere with other things you might want to do (Movies on deck, shows, etc.).  Also, the casino is very crowded, due to the casino offer.

Its up to you on whether or not you spend a lot of time there if its worth while.

Hoosierpop

Extra money? My offers have been cheaper than what I would have otherwise paid, so the perks make it that much better. The drinks on us alone is worth a good bit if you drink.

Only reason I wouldn’t take it is I don’t have enough vacation to go on a cruise.

Like

It’s only a couple hundred more as it can be applied to the current booking we have for June 2020. Our rate was lower because we have been booked for awhile now. I was unable to get FTTF so I was thinking the priority boarding would cover what I missed without the FTTF.

javajunkie59

Sounds like the offer my sis got a month ago. Got till March 3 to use. Her offer was a $100.00 per person for an interior room and free drinks in the casino.  Looking to book a 15 day San Diego to Hawaii. Total cost per person is $557.00  That's total cost with taxes, port fees, gratuity, and Carnival insurance. Saw online the normal cost of an interior room for that same cruise. BIG savings.  Makes up for the money she lost in the casino on her last cruise in November.  Hope she takes me along on the HI cruise.

Gotcha. Well, for me, the drinks on us card is worth a couple hundred. Plus the priority boarding. And are they giving you casino cash?

Check with you TA. Sometimes it is the better deal sometimes it is not. As for the free drinks while gambling. Read that carefully. It usually says when you qualify.

Premier cruises are so much fun, the DOU card is worth it, but also, they

have drawings to win kool prizes, I won a captains table event, and also'

won fee money, anytime I can go on a Premier, I try to go.

We get $500 cash, drink cards for the two of us, gifts, and fairly deep discounts on cabins.  Our balcony in sept was approx $600 with taxes.  We've gotten free interiors and sailed on those too.  Our ultra was about the same cost for the balcony.  But better prizes.  If I'm going to cruise Carnival, I like they actually basically pay for us to do it.  Besides their cruises are fun to go on.

I think it is worth it. Lots of fun. If you find a ship wth 2 consecutive sailings that are Premier, you can use the offer twice for a Back 2 Back Cruise. Double the gifts.  can anyone tell me about the 16 day premier cruise?

3,000+ Club

The Premier cruises I've gone on were free, except for port charges.

I just got back from the 14 day Journey on Pride that was an Elite cruise (free for me also) and got another offer for Premier for March 1 and 15th.  (free)

I'm passing on those however...The FREE cruises are killing me...$$$$$$$$$$$ LOL

Scurvy Seadog

Scurvy Seadog

All of my premier offers since 2014 have been with a room rate of $0 + taxes and port fees. Offers have ranged from interiors to balconies. They have always come with DOU cards for myself and a travel companion as well $300 to $1000.

Expect there is no problem with me. The question was if the OP should take that deal.

and if the difference is a couple hundred and they get DOU, I’d say it’s worth it. I’ve never had a normal sale better than a premier cruise. But it doesn’t mean others haven’t.

It’s simple: cruise more and the perks just pile up.

Even if you’ve never cruised with Carnival before, join the club today — the benefits begin today.

Start with things like members-only promotions. Then when you sail, you'll start picking up benefits like collectible Carnival items, invites to members-only cocktail receptions, priority boarding and more.

That's called living the VIFP life.

My Benefits

VIFP Club Blue

Collecting VIFP rewards is… actually really easy.

Step 3: That’s it! You’re earning points.

Took a 5-day Caribbean cruise? That's five VIFP Points. 7-day Alaska cruise? Seven VIFP Points. So simple!

Carnival Cruise Line promises loyalty program changes

C ruise line loyalty programs drive repeat business and even a tiny change can outrage passengers. Royal Caribbean, for example, has to limit access to its Crown Lounges on select sailings when too many top-tier customers are onboard.

In most cases, you can't expand the lounge so on a President's Cruise, a special casino cruise, or a Transatlantic sailing, the cruise line has to limit access. That change only happens rarely and while people don't like not getting a perk they have earned, most are understanding.

Related: Why Carnival, Royal Caribbean don't offer key entertainment option

Permanent changes, however, can lead to passengers losing cherished benefits even if they gain others. Celebrity Cruises, a Royal Caribbean-owned brand, still shows on its website that certain higher levels of its casino loyalty program get access to its suite lounge. The problem is they don't and haven't for many years, but people who earn those levels and see the perk on the list are quite reasonably upset.

While Royal Caribbean has hinted at changes to its Crown & Anchor loyalty program, Carnival has shared that it's currently reevaluating its own. That means changes are coming, but before they do, the cruise line's brand ambassador, John Heald, both slapped back at some of his Facebook followers, and promised he would address their concerns.

Carnival made a loyalty pin change

Every cruise line's loyalty program has different tiers. Carnival's VIFP loyalty program starts at Blue on your first sailing and Red after that. At Gold passengers get a free bottle of water in their cabin.

You move up in tiers by sailing with points being awarded for nights cruised. Unlike Royal Caribbean's program, which offers more points for solo cruisers and suite passengers, Carnival's is one point per night no matter what.

The higher levels of the VIFP program, Gold and Platinum, come with a perk that many passengers like, a custom pin on each cruise. Those pins are "redeemable at the Photo Gallery no later than two days before the end of the cruise," Carnival shares on its website.

That's where some passengers took issue with the cruise line and Heald explained the policy.

"Before I open my eye pad on the plane to watch some downloaded episodes of 'Little House on Cleveland Prairie' and nibble on my $9 airport sandwich which has some pink meat in it I would like to say a little something to our fabulous Diamond and Platinum guests," he wrote. "The reason we ask Diamond and Platinum guests to collect their gift and pin from the Pixels gallery is because we have, in the past, found that people sometimes leave the pin and gift in the cabin. Plus it is what we have done since Covid."

Heald, it should be noted, never directly mentions brand names and is playful when he talks about what hotel he's staying in or, in this case, his tablet. He did push back on one charge.

"It is not a 'slap in the face for your loyal guests' to have to collect them rather than have them delivered. I read these comments now and then and the hostility behind the words posted is quite astonishing," he added.

Heald will ask the "beards"

The brand ambassador jointly calls Carnival's executives the "beards." It's meant as a term of endearment as the brand is led by its unbearded President Christine Duffy. Heald did promise to share the passenger feedback with his bosses, but stopped short of promising a change.

"Let’s see what we do when we announce the new loyalty program by the end of this year and I will ask if we can return to delivering anything we offer. No promises but I will try," he posted.

Nearly 2,000 people commented on Heald's post. Most were supportive.

"It’s all about perspective. When my sister in law got her status, I went with her and took pictures of her picking up her gift. We had fun with it. Just have fun, people. It is the fun ship," Melissa Dodd wrote.

Beth McDonald had a similary practical take on having to pick up the pin.

"I have no problem going to Pixels and getting my pin and gift. You probably walk by there several times a day. I love collecting my pins! I have found many uses for the gifts I get," she wrote.

Some of Heald's followers understand both points of view.

"It's not a big deal to pick these things up. It was just more special to walk into your cabin and see them waiting for you," posted Florence Thomsen Hobson.

"I can’t lie, I liked having it delivered but I also keep every pin and gift. So, I understand why the change was made, for Covid protocols and for eliminating waste. Besides, having to go get it gives me an excuse to leave the casino," added Laura K. Holiday.

Deal: Holland America Line is offering a "Kids Cruise Free" promotion on select itineraries in 2024. The offer applies to several itineraries including Hawaii , the Caribbean and the Panama Canal; to qualify, children must be 18 or younger and cruising as third and/or fourth guests in the same cabin as adults. As with similar promotions, taxes and port fees are still required for each child's sailing.

Family-friendly perks: Amenities onboard Holland America ships include kids clubs and youth programs, as well as shore excursions oriented to families with little ones in tow. Plenty of stateroom options can also accommodate larger bookings. The Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam ships, in particular, feature oversized staterooms with beds for four, a large sitting area and a spacious veranda.

Deal: Royal Caribbean offers a "Kids Sail Free" deal several times each year, allowing children 12 or younger to cruise free provided they are the third guests (or beyond) staying in the same cabin as at least two paying adults. The only catch is that blackout dates apply – typically during holiday and school breaks.

Family-friendly perks: There's a reason so many families choose Royal Caribbean ; kid-friendly amenities range from age-specific programming to zip lining at sea. The line's  exclusive island for cruisers , Perfect Day at CocoCay in  the Bahamas , is also a big hit with young passengers thanks to its waterslides and splash areas.

Deal: Costa Cruises may not be as popular as some other cruise lines on our list, but it's a worthwhile option for cruisers looking to sail through Europe, the Middle East or South America. The cruise line allows kids traveling as third or fourth guests to sail for free with two adults in the same cabin, and this promotion applies to passengers ages 2 to 17. This offer is valid on all sailings offered by the line, many of which feature destinations in desirable ports along the Mediterranean such as Barcelona , Marseille and Rome .

Family-friendly perks: Costa Cruises vessels offer abundant family-friendly amenities, from water parks to arcades to mini golf. Kids clubs are available for children ages 3 to 11, and they provide entertainment like arts and crafts, themed parties, and games galore. A teen zone also hosts cruisers ages 12 to 17 who want to mingle, sing karaoke and play group sports when ships aren't in port.

Kids must be the third or fourth guests traveling in the same cabin as their parents (at least two adults) for the deal to be valid; note that any port fees and taxes still apply to children's fares.

Family-friendly perks: MSC Cruises offers a variety of leisure activities and amenities designed specifically for kids. On board, youngsters can take advantage of perks from water parks with slides and swimming pools to Broadway-style shows and interactive dinners. The line also hosts fun family excursions and a "Lego Experience On Board" event on every cruise. In addition, there are a myriad of amenities for parents to enjoy while the youngest passengers are occupied by one of five dedicated kids clubs.

Hard Rock International, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity Cruises Team up with New Loyalty Partnership — How to Take Advantage

Members of each company’s loyalty program will now receive reciprocal benefits on a hotel stay or cruise.

It’s about to get easier for frequent travelers to ball out on a cruise or a high-end casino vacation thanks to a new partnership between Hard Rock International and both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises.

Members of each company’s loyalty program will now receive reciprocal benefits on a hotel stay or cruise, according to the hotel group . Benefits include discounts on sailings, perks during a hotel stay, and more.

“This partnership expands the ways our guests can enjoy their vacations and experience entertainment, dining and gaming from ship to shore,” Jesse Hopfinger, the senior vice president, onboard revenue for Royal Caribbean International, said in a statement.

Through the agreement, travelers who are members of Hard Rock’s Unity by Hard Rock loyalty program will receive discounts on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity sailings and can qualify for invite-only cruise giveaways . The company said top-tier loyalty members also receive an annual complimentary cruise.

Members of Royal Caribbean’s Club Royale program and Celebrity’s Blue Chip Club program will similarly receive discounts on hotel stays. Premium tier members will also receive an annual complimentary trip at select Hard Rock hotels and casinos.

"Whether extending their cruise vacation at one of our port-adjacent properties, visiting one of the participating Hard Rock Hotel and Cafe locations worldwide or enjoying the cruise lines' ships sailing around the world, travelers will have new ways to enjoy the best of what Hard Rock, Seminole Casinos and Royal Caribbean and Celebrity have to offer,” Jeff Hook, the executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Seminole Hard Rock Support Services, said in the statement.

Overall, travel rewards programs offer a great opportunity for frequent travelers to save on a trip and access exclusive perks along the way from upgrades on airlines to late check-out at hotels, and more.

The decision to partner with Hard Rock comes as Royal Caribbean continues to upgrade its private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay , with overwater cabanas and a new adults-only beach club . Last week, the private island welcomed guests from Celebrity Cruises for the first time.
