Our guide Michelle was excellent. The city sightseeing tours on the bus were a waste of time. Our local tour guide in Edinburgh was awful. Why the laughing through most of her talking? Very irritating. The Fish & Chips dinner in the local dumpy restaurant was the worst meal of the trip. Otherwise just what we expected.

I’ve included booking options from Viator and GetYourGuide , usually, prices are the same, but it’s worth checking out. Both are trusted companies that I regularly use to book tours and activities when I travel. All tours selected have good reviews and are offered by established Irish tour companies .

There are not many options available, which should make picking one easier. They all kind of cover the same places, with stops at the most popular sites in Ireland , so you’re sure to see the highlights.

Reading reviews from the tours listed below, you’ll notice that many people were a bit surprised to spend many hours in transportation between places and felt rushed at some of the stops. If you’re familiar with these types of group tours, you’ll know this is pretty standard, otherwise, be ready for that, there’s no other way to see so many places in so little time.

Also, some people were disappointed by the weather , unfortunately, Ireland is a rainy country . I’d say the best time to go to Ireland is in June when it’s sunnier and there’s less crowd compared with July and August. In any case, be ready for rain and bad weather.

This is not exactly what you’d call a 4-day tour, however, it can be a good option if you only have 4 days in Ireland. This package includes three day trips from Dublin and a day to tour Dublin.

This can work really well as Ireland is not that big. Still, expect to spend a couple of hours each day on a bus.

On your first day, explore the West of Ireland with stops at the Cliffs of Moher, Kilmacdough Abbey, the Burren, and Galway City.

On the next day, explore Glendalough, the Wicklow Mountains, and Kilkenny City.

Day 3 is a more relaxed day in Dublin and you’re more on your own. There’s a walking tour , entry tickets to the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery , and a day pass for the Dublin hop-on-hop-off tour bus included.

On your last day, head to Northern Ireland and visit the Giant’s Causeway, the Dark Hedges, and the Titanic Belfast exhibition.

Why a carriage ride? This mode of transportation allows visitors to see parts of the park where motor vehicles are not allowed. Travelers consistently describe the guides as humorous and well-versed in area culture and history. Reviewers also say the ride is relaxing; many called the tour the highlight of their trip.
