• The amenities you'll need—Most charter buses come with certain standard features, including Wifi, DVD players, stereo and PA systems and charging stations for your devices. The school buses, however, typically don't have these options and are less expensive. For additional amenities, such as an on-board bathroom, you'll typically pay a bit more.
• When and where you are traveling—The cost of a charter bus is typically more in the winter months in Florida than the summer months (there's greater demand). Do you charge per hour? Is there a minimum rental time?

Rates are charged per hour, with a 5-hour minimum for every trip.

Do I need to find parking for the bus?

No. Our operations team will secure parking and staging areas for the bus prior to your trip.

How often will my driver need to stop for a break?

Break schedules will be negotiated between you and your driver(s) prior to the trip; however, drivers can only legally drive for 10 consecutive hours before they must take an 8-hour required break.

Can I see the bus before my rental is finalized?

• Make sure all companies quote your trip with the same miles. If you call to get a quote for your event but do not have an itinerary, we may add additional miles to get you back and forth to lunch or other locations we don’t know about yet. Because we charge by the day or the mile, whichever is greater, this sometimes increases the price. If we have an itinerary to quote from, we do not add miles beyond what you requested. However, sometimes our competitors will quote the price with no extra miles knowing they will be cheaper in the beginning even though they will charge you the extra miles once you return. Always make sure you are comparing “apples to apples.”
• Come look at the bus. We urge our customers to come by and take a look at the exact bus they will be traveling on. Be sure to do this regardless of what company you choose. If a company tells you a specific bus is on the road and they can’t give you a date when it will be back, be concerned. Looking at the bus before your trip is an acceptable request. We welcome visitors at any time. Also, if you do visit before your trip, make note of the plate number on the bus to assure you get the same one.
• Do you need Wi-Fi or 110-volt plugins? If so, make sure all companies provide these amenities when you book your charter.
• Driver hotel nights. If the trip will be overnight, ask charter companies to note whether the price includes/excludes the driver’s nightly hotel fee. This is often a big reason for a price difference.
• Built-in gratuity? Village does not add in a gratuity for the driver, but some companies do. If you’d like to tip our hardworking drivers, you are welcome to but it is certainly not required (or expected) for school field trips.
• Pay before you go? Does the bus company require you to pay upfront? For most schools, Village allows you to pay after returning from your trip.
• Cancellation policy. Cancellation policies vary from company to company. Always ask so you know what to expect in the case of an unexpected delay or cancellation.

Field Trip Request Form  

Login credentials to enter a field trip request must be requested by email to the Field Trip Coordinator. Please send your first name, last name, and campus for which you will be making requests for. 

Requests for approval of in-state trips must be made at least 15 days prior to the date of departure. Requests for approval of out-of-state trips must be made at least 30 days prior to the date of departure.  All trip requests shall contain the following:

• Date of departure
• Time of departure and return
• Event to be attended
• Location of event
• Sponsors' name and phone number
• The number of students and adults being transported
• Educational relevance
• Details of your trip that Transportation needs to know must be added to the "notes" within the trip
• Budget code approved by the budget owner

Field Trip Reminders

• Field trip requests are for buses only.  Any vehicle that is not a bus must be rented.  Please visit the Purchasing Department's website for instruction on rental procedures.
• GPISD buses are for transporting students and staff only.  Coolers, props, athletic gear, instruments, etc. are not permitted and will be refused by the driver, with no exceptions.  Please visit the Purchasing Department's website for instruction on rental procedures. 
• Pick up time for all field trips will be no earlier than 9:00 am. Return time for all field trips is no later than 2:00 pm.  Please plan all your events accordingly.
• Changes to any existing trip must be emailed to the field trip coordinator at least 48 hours in advance with the exception of the Special Education Department.  Requests for same-day changes will not be honored.  Voicemail messages of changes will not be honored.  Arrangements made with any staff other than the Field Trip Coordinator will not be honored. Arrangements or changes made with a bus driver will not be honored. 
• A field trip must be entered for each day of service.  One trip number represents one day of service. Example: Camp Grady Spruce - A trip request must be put in for the day of departure and a second trip request must be put in for the day of the return. This includes competitions.

Devin haney's promoter wants ryan garcia rematch on 'even playing field', eddie hearn, haney's promoter we want a rematch vs. garcia ... on 'even playing field'.

Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney II ... coming soon to a ring near you?!

Maybe, according to Haney's promoter, Eddie Hearn ... who tells TMZ Sports he hopes the two young stars can do battle once again.

"I hope so," Hearn, one of boxing's most influential and powerful promoters told us when we asked whether Ryan and Devin could run it back.

But, Hearn also understands that Garcia is the guy in the driver's seat right now.

"I think that Ryan's in a great position. He's a huge star. He's going to pick the fights that he likes and he wants."

Ryan won the fight by majority decision, knocking down Haney 3 times during the fight (it's the first time Devin's ever been dropped) ... but Garcia did weigh in more than 3 lbs. over the 140 lb. limit, and it's clear EH believes that was an advantage.

"But, [Ryan] did come in overweight. You know, we would like a chance to put it right on an even playing field."

"Ryan was a huge star before. And that win, he's going to look at the right fights for him for the most money. So hopefully, it will involve a Devin Haney rematch. But, Devin's still a world champion. And, we'll see what happens."

FYI, Haney, although he lost (the first time in his career), retained his championship belts because Garcia was overweight.

We also asked Eddie how Devin was doing after the fight.

"I've spoken to him a few times. I mean, he's been quite quiet. I think, like I said, he's never lost before. His whole life is boxing. So when he gets beat, you know, you look for answers and you want to sort of say, 'why?'"

As far as potential timing for the rematch, we asked Hearn when the fight could potentially go down.

"I think Ryan will take a little break now. He's had an interesting time. And, he's always out posting and he's going to celebrate his win ," the Matchroom Boxing boss said.

"But, Devin had a tough fight physically as well. He'll need a rest. But, I'm sure in his mind he'll be thinking about coming back. And, he's still the world champion. So he will look to defend that. But, at the same time, when you lose for the first time, revenge will be on your mind forever. So hopefully one day we can make it happen."
