My family and I went on the ghost tour. It had awesome stories about murders that had happened in the city. They trolley would stop by the houses that the murders happened in as they told you about them. The tour was awesome except for the group of ladies who showed up late and then sat at the back of the bus and screamed and were very annoying since they had too much to drink before coming to the tour. Other than the idiots it was a great tour. Definitely check it out.

At first I was a little disappointed with the slow pace of the tour, but it did eventually crawl under my skin and make me pay attention - kind of like a Margaret Atwood novel. Anyways, it's a little long and I would say over packed with information - some of it not very exciting. The kids I was with actually fell asleep, but, to be fair, they had had a long day already. I would not recommend it for kids, unless you want them to go to sleep and stop bugging you. The lady talking at the front was nice, and the staff were pleasant at the tourist booth.

Seasonal bus tour, laid back and interesting. Historic down and older buildings and explanation of who owned them or what they were used for was fascinating

we did the ghost tours. it was not very exciting and not worth the money. if they had actos at locations that came out it would make it more thrilling.

Not the most luxurious trip, but Moose Jaw is interesting and has some surprising secrets. I'm biased as I grew up there, but this is a nice tour in the summer. I leaves from the Spa, and everyone should stay there.

The driver and guide on the trolley were entertaining and informative. We were just passing through Moose Jaw and had an afternoon to see the town. We enjoyed both the trolley and the tunnels. Moose Jaw folks seem to be friendly and kind.

New trolley highlights upcoming Tourism Moose Jaw tours

ghost tour moose jaw

The new trolley has arrived as bookings are now open for Tourism Moose Jaw’s trolley and walking tours this summer.

The new trolley is heated and has air conditioning, more comfortable seats and interactive features that will up the entertainment factor to the tours.

“There are so many things to be excited about with the new trolley that I know our staff is just looking forward to being able to have something so reliable and that's a lot more comfortable for people,” said Tourism Moose Jaw Executive Director Jacki L’Heureux Mason.

As for the tours themselves, the historic daytime tours will be back along with the ghost and true crime tours.

“We have completely rewritten our ghost tour and true crime tour this year,” L’Heureux Mason said. “We were able to work with getting it done professionally, so we’re really excited about that.”

The trolley tours begin on May 19.

Tourism Moose Jaw is also offering a number of walking tours this year.

“I’ve traveled to quite a few cities and taken a few walking tours. I love history and I’m really thrilled with these tours,” L’Heureux Mason said.

The Moose Jaw Mysteries are self-guided and app-driven that will send you to a starting location and you will solve puzzles as you move to different locations throughout the city.

Meanwhile, Tourism Moose Jaw has its historic downtown and historic cemetery walking tours. The cemetery tour is a history-based overview of the characters that built Moose Jaw. The downtown tour is a mix of architecture and history about the buildings around historic downtown Moose Jaw.

The walking tours run from June to August.

The Rolling Stones show no signs of slowing down as they begin their latest tour with Texas show

HOUSTON (AP) — Time marches on and all good things must come to an end. But don’t tell that to The Rolling Stones .

What many believe to be the greatest rock ’n’ roll band in the world showed no signs of slowing down anytime soon as they kicked off their latest tour Sunday night at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

The Stones have been touring for more than 60 years. Frontman Mick Jagger and lead guitarist Keith Richards are both 80, with guitarist Ronnie Wood not far behind at 76. Their tour is being sponsored in part by AARP.

But during a vibrant two-hour show, the Stones played with the energy of band that was on tour for the first time.

“It’s great to be back in the Lone Star State,” Jagger told the packed stadium, filled with longtime fans, many wearing faded concert shirts from previous tours.

Jagger often strutted up and down the stage with seemingly boundless energy while Richards and Wood played many familiar guitar riffs beloved by fans. Jagger often led the audience in sing-alongs.

“The energy level is up and it’s always up with them. The age doesn’t show,” Dale Skjerseth, the Stones’ production director, said Friday before the concert.

The Stones have hit the road to support the release of their latest album, “Hackney Diamonds,” the band’s first record of original music since 2005.

Houston was the first stop on the band’s 16-city tour across the U.S. and Canada. Other cities on the tour include New Orleans, Philadelphia and Vancouver, British Columbia. The tour ends on July 17 in Santa Clara, California.

During Sunday's 18-song concert set list, the Stones played several tracks off the new record, including lead single “Angry.” They also played classics including “Sympathy for the Devil,” “Gimmer Shelter,” Honky Tonk Women” and “Start Me Up.”

After playing “Beast of Burden,” Jagger said that concertgoers in Houston had voted to include it on the set list.

“You can’t go wrong with that,” one man in the audience could be heard screaming.

The Stones also played some unexpected choices, including “Rocks Off,” from their 1972 double album “Exile on Main St.” and “Out of Time,” a 1966 song that Jagger said during the concert had not ever been played by the band in the U.S.

With the 2021 death of drummer Charlie Watts , the Stones are now comprised of the core trio of Jagger, Richards and Wood. On Sunday, they were backed by various musicians including two keyboardists, a new drummer, backup singers and a brass section.

While the stage was surrounded by a large collection of video screens projecting images throughout the show, the main focus of the concert was the band and their songs

Before Sunday’s concert, Jagger spent time on Friday touring NASA’s Johnson Space Center in suburban Houston, posting photos on his Instagram account of him with astronauts inside Mission Control.

“I had an amazing trip to the space center,” Jagger said.

When asked if the band might be thinking about retiring, Skjerseth said he doubts that will happen.

“This is not the end. They’re very enthused,” he said.

Vancouver Whitecaps to host Ryan Reynolds-owned Wrexham AFC in late July contest

VANCOUVER — Wrexham AFC, co-owned by Canadian actor and Vancouver native Ryan Reynolds, is set to play Major League Soccer's Vancouver Whitecaps on July 27 at BC Place Stadium.

It will be the last of Wrexham AFC’s three North American matches this summer as part of their 2024 Wrex Coast Tour.

Preceding the Vancouver visit, Wrexham will face English Premier League competition in California, against Bournemouth on July 20 in Santa Barbara, and Chelsea FC on July 24 in Santa Clara.

Wrexham has shot to prominence since Reynolds and fellow Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney purchased the club in 2020.

The club, which was languishing in English soccer's fifth tier at the time of the purchase, has achieved two successive promotions under its Hollywood ownership.

Next season, the team will compete in League One, two levels below the EPL.

The club has been featured in the immensely popular Emmy award-winning Welcome to Wrexham docu-series on FX.

Reynolds has been a longtime Whitecaps supporter.

“Last year Rob got to bring Wrexham to Philly. This year it's my turn,” Reynolds said in a statement. “I am so excited my hometown club the Whitecaps will get to square off against the Red Dragons.

"My official stance on the match will be a very friendly 'neutral' even if I will be screaming for a Paul Mullin hat trick.”

Wrexham, founded in 1864, is the oldest professional soccer club in Wales, and the third oldest in the world.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our club, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary season, to play a team as storied as Wrexham AFC,” said Vancouver Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster. “We’re delighted to be able to welcome our visitors from Wales, and welcome Ryan Reynolds back home to Vancouver.”

Calico Ghost Town Haunted Halloween Magic

Yermo, CA- "Ghost town" is in the name and in the very being of Calico , located in the California desert near Yermo. The authentic ghost town comprised of actual buildings from California ghost towns is a state park visitors can enjoy throughout the year. When Halloween arrives, however, the Old West-themed visitor attraction springs into action full throttle with Ghost Haunt.

Underground crevices of Maggie's Mine provide hauntingly eerie decor, inviting the not-so faint of heart to walk through and brace yourselves! Creepy clowns in a maze constructed around the Mystery Shack, and an authentic vaudeville freak show like they had in the 1890's when Barnum and Bailey toured the countryside in tents displaying oddities and humanly impossible stunts, attract some of the oldsters as well as younger thrill-seekers. Fire eaters, sword swallowers and contortionists, and Children of Chaos with two-headed calves and other amazements promise a unique Halloween different from the theme park haunt attractions.

Appearing will be Vincent Lords, who is often compared to David Blaine and Chris Angel for his ability to surpass any mental doubt or fear in death defying feats. Lords supercharges hypnotism and will bend your mind like no other.

The Last Ride, a coffin set in a mortuary is just waiting for you. Step inside and pull the lid shut and enjoy the feeling of being sent down, down, down as if buried alive! It's certain to pull a scream from the deepest crevice of your throat!

Haunted hayrides, a cemetery walk, trick or treating, costume contest and much more await you at Calico Ghost Town's Ghost Haunt in October.

Calico Ghost Town is located off the Ghost Town exit on I-15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas . Camping is available and may be booked online at  sbcountyparks.com. There are also cabins and bunkhouses available for rent and may be reserved by calling the park directly at 800-86-CALICO. calicotown.com
