POOP EVERYWHERE!! We tried to put boundaries up to protect our grassy space and was scolded for having a fence!!

Clean and well maintained, this is a pretty nice place. The pads are gravel and dirt. If they were clean gravel I would have added a star. At the moment, I am in the park listening to some VERY aloud race cars that are nearby on perhaps a dirt track. If it were not for them I might add a star. It's 10:00 PM and I'm tired.

We needed a place to stay while our tow vehicle was being repaired. Another place that advertises on big billboard refused us because a tow company was going to bring our travel trailer in. We discovered a hidden gem in this park and will never stay at another park within 60 miles of Chattanooga! Great location, reasonable prices, super friendly and helpful. They even volunteered to take us in the campground golf course across the street to a Dollar General if we needed something while we waited in the repair!

I stayed here twice on my way from Atlanta to Nashville. Nice quiet place with lots of trees. Gravel sites, mine was level. Historic site from Civil War times, if you like that sort of thing. I can't say how the facilities were as I didn't use any. It seems close to the other area attractions.

We stayed here one night traveling from Florida to Kentucky. Showed up after hours with reservations, and had no issues at all. They put us in the front of the park and it was easy to navigate too after dark. Hook ups all have a small landscape light on the electric post, it made it a little easier to see when hooking. We left right at day light. Receptionist was very helpful on the phone, even helped with restaurant suggestions. We will stay here again, probably just for the night as we are passing through.

Site seemed tight, but it wasn't hard to get into at all.

Gravel roads, good enough for us!

This I s a Great campground. Easy in and Out for big rigs. Wide long pull thru spaces. We have a 40' fifth wheel and didn't need to unhook. Very quiet. Nice trees, but very well trimmed and providing shade. Very friendly staff. Well worth $.

What a gem it was right off the freeway easy check in and the lady at the front fest was very nice. The park was very clean the sites were all pull through and roomy. I also felt safe to take a walk with my dogs. There was a nice dog park and playground for kids. Shopping and restaurants just down the road. Definitely a go to place when traveling through Chattanooga.

It's good. The spots are level enough, there's a decent amount of space (although not between you and you neighbors) and unlike virtually every other RV park we've camped, the cable TV works! The staff is friendly and courteous. The park is close to Chattanooga, but it's actually 1 mile inside Georgia. It's not a resort though. If your neighbors smoke, you deal with it. Like I said, they are close. They pack in the RV's. Also, I like history. Civil War history. Every street in the park is named after a Confederate hero, not that big a deal. Just don't want to camp on Nathan Bedford Forrest Drive, lol. EDIT: the streets on the opposing side of the RV park are named after Union Civil War generals.

Great Stop over for the night as we travel from Florida to Kentucky Lake! Easy to get to off of 75, friendly staff in office, clean office/little store upon arrival, nice level pull thrus. Gave 4 stars because sites for transients are extremely small & close together. Doesn't really bother us for a place to stop for the night, but I wouldn't want to stay here very long so close together! We pulled in in the evening and didn't walk around to the other side, so might be bigger sites that we couldn't see!

Holiday Travel Park in Chattanooga, TN: Campground Review

Chattanooga is only a couple of hours from our house, and there’s tons and tons to do there, so we go pretty frequently. Holiday Travel Park is, in fact, the third Chattanooga RV park we’ve stayed at (you can read my review of Raccoon Mountain here and my post about the Chattanooga West KOA , our very first night in the RV ever, here).

But apparently we’re on a quest to check out every single RV park option in Chattanooga, so we stayed at a third one on our first night of our summer trip. Actually, it was because we wanted a very easy in and out close to the highway, and this seemed to fit the bill. We’d originally planned to leave home Sunday morning, but our house sitters were getting into town Saturday afternoon, so we met them and showed them around and then loaded up and made the short drive to Chattanooga for a quick overnight stop.

We pulled in here after dark on Saturday night and left first thing Sunday morning, so this isn’t going to be a super involved review, but I did want to give a quick run down of our impressions since it’s a good option to have if you’re passing through Chattanooga. Holiday Travel Park was very easy to access from the interstate, and we had a pull-through that was easy to get in and out of and long enough for us to stay hitched up.

It was pouring much of the time we were here, so even if we’d had more time, the weather wasn’t ideal for exploring the campground. We did take a walk around in the morning and noted that some of the sites in the back were really flooded. We were glad not to be in those, but our site was fine.

One cool feature of this campground is that it’s located on a Civil War battlefield, and there’s a trail from the campground to some kind of monument. We were going to check that out before we left, but the trail was very muddy, so we changed our minds.

There’s a pool and a playground, tent sites and cabins to rent. Gravel sites weren’t huge, but were relatively well spaced, with picnic tables and fire rings.

So all in all, a good option for a quick overnight stop. I think I’d give the edge to Raccoon Mountain for a longer stay….we felt like the sites there were more spacious and the whole place felt less RV park-y and more like a campground (but, it should be noted, we were there in November with a not very full campground) and there were some nice perks like the caverns right on site. But Holiday Travel Park is half a mile from 75, so you can’t beat it for location if you’re passing through like we were.

Rent an RV near Fort Oglethorpe , Tennessee

Very clean & quiet. Spaces are a little too close. We had to park all the way to the rear of our site to be able to open our slides. Our neighbors next door had there slide all the way open as well as the awning attached to it. We didn’t even bother connecting the sewer hose.

Super nice folks, great place!

Last minute stop over after a bad wreck on 75. Close and easy to navigate. Very nice and very clean facility. Staff was wonderful. All sites are pull through and easy to get in and out. Nice dog park. Very clean laundry facilities. Wish we had time to stay a few days. Definitely recommend.

Our RV GPS took us to 1/4 mile before the campground(CG) so we followed the CG’s website instructions and the signage to the entrance across from the Dollar Store.
