Luke Bryan performing sold-out show in Allegan for 'Farm Tour 2023'

Luke Bryan , renowned country singer-songwriter and American Idol judge, is coming to Allegan County this year.

On his 'Farm Tour 2023,' Bryan will stop by six farms all over the Midwest. His third stop is at John Schaendorf Dairy, 2369 28th Street in Allegan.

The Allegan show and its online parking passes are already sold out, days before ticket sales close.

You can still pay to park onsite, but be prepared to pay $20 the day of the event.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. Every concertgoer is asked to show up early because there may be traffic congestion in the rural area. Carpooling is also encouraged to cut down on traffic.

Parking will open at 2 p.m. and entry is permitted starting at 5 p.m.

On Saturday, the Michigan State Police say traffic will be heavy in Allegan County, including the following areas:

  • 28th Street
  • 30th Street
  • 116th Avenue
  • 122nd Avenue
  • 125th Avenue
  • 128th Avenue

They say traffic will be heaviest after the concert, near 11 p.m. Around that time, 28th Street will be closed for a half mile north of 122nd Avenue to accommodate. All other areas of 28th Street will remain open and will be crowded, police say.

Chairs and blankets will be allowed in designated areas, but organizers say no coolers, backpacks, or outside food or drinks, except for factory-sealed bottles of water. Also prohibited are fireworks, grills, weapons, animals other than service animals, large umbrellas, footballs, frisbees and golf carts.

Camping on the grounds is not allowed and anyone bringing an RV will be charged an additional amount for parking. No vehicles are allowed on the property overnight.

The path from the parking lot to the concert is unpaved. Accessible parking is available close to the venue, but there is not a provided service to bring concertgoers to the disabled seating area.

Organizers say the show will happen, rain or shine.

Bryan's other stops include towns in Kentucky, Iowa, Ohio, Wisconsin and Minnesota. For more information, visit the tour's site here .

Luke bryan brings back the farm tour for 2021..

LUKE BRYAN BRINGS BACK THE FARM TOUR FOR 2021.

As 2021 ACM Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan gears up to hit the road for his coast-to-coast “Proud To Be Right Here Tour” in July, the rural Georgia native is proud to announce he is also bringing back his FARM TOUR this fall. Five of these farms have never-been-played before. Luke and team will set up stages in the fields of local farmers across those states.

I’m more excited about #FARMTOUR2021 than any other! It's so apparent to me, and I hope everyone, why our farmers are truly the backbone of America. They never stopped providing for us in 2020. “I think I am more excited about this year’s FARM TOUR than any other year,” shared Luke. “Growing up in a farming family in rural Georgia I know how hard farming can be even on a good year, and how hard those families work- from sun-up to sundown. They never stopped providing for all of us. Ever. It’s time to thank our farmers, once again. It’s going to mean even more to me this year.”

Audio / Luke Bryan talks about the Farm Tour and how much it's grown over the years.

Luke Bryan (Farm Tour) OC: …through the years. 1:04 “Well, yeah, I mean the  Farm Tour  has grown throughout the years, and the fact that we can set a stage up in a hayfield or some kind of field and people flock to it is what I envisioned when I created Farm Tour, and to obviously help some kids with scholarships and stuff like that. But the Farm Tour has grown every year, and it’s always something we look forward to. It’s really an exciting time to be able to just be out on a farm on a Fall night. Sometimes it’s cool and everybody’s got, it’s perfect jacket weather and everybody’s just enjoying music and having fun, and it’s happening in these little towns that have never gotten a show like this. So, it’s always fun knowing that I leave these little towns, and they can go, ‘Hey, we got to go party out in a field and hear a bunch of Nashville country music singers roll in,’ and give ‘em a great show. So many great memories through the years.”

Everything you need to know about Luke Bryan’s Iowa Farm Tour

luke bryan farm tour parking pass

Thousands of Iowans are set to strap on cowboy boots and head to the field this weekend, as Luke Bryan’s annual Farm Tour invades Boone for a one-night only show.

The sold out show this Saturday comes in the middle of Bryan’s six show, two-week run of farm gigs and expects to draw roughly 20,000 people (nearly double Boone's population) to the Ziel farm in Boone County. Here’s a look at everything fans need to know before making the roughly 50-mile trip from Des Moines to see one of country radio’s biggest stars.

What you’ll (probably) hear

Bryan rolls into Iowa following the late summer release of his latest single, “Light It Up.” The somber, country-ish ballad marks Bryan’s sole release of the year. According to leading country news website Taste of Country , the song is the first single off an upcoming late 2017 release from Bryan, but more details on the “Kill The Lights” follow-up is yet to surface.

Bryan’s latest studio EP, however, comes as an ode to the Farm Tour: “Here’s to the Farmer” dropped in September 2016 and features five tracks, such as “Love Me in a Field” and “Southern Gentlemen.”

In addition to the latest singles and Farm Tour-specific tracks, Bryan has maintained playing his biggest hits during this summer’s “Huntin’, Fishin’ & Lovin’ Every Day” tour. Tracks such as “That’s My Kind of Night,” “Country Girl” and “Drink A Beer” have all made the setlist.

What others are saying

The Farm Tour comes to central Iowa during a break in the “Huntin’ …” tour, which runs through the end of October. Reviews from St. Louis and Kansas City say Bryan plays for about two hours at these shows, bringing 20-plus songs to his set.

In a review from last March, Rolling Stone described Bryan’s show as an “endless party.”

“... this is show business, and Bryan is a two-time Entertainer of the Year for a reason,” the review said.

Kicking off Thursday in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Farm Tour typically runs for two weeks each fall. While past years earned positive reviews from the likes of Billboard and Taste of Country , the tour has seen its logistical challenges. According to a kentucky.com review from 2015 , fans were stuck in “miles and hours of gridlock traffic” outside of Bryan’s show in rural Kentucky, causing some to miss part of or the entire show.

“Bryan certainly had a good time and made sure plenty of other people who saw him did too. But for a lot of his fans, a traffic jam, quite literally, stole the show,” the Kentucky review says.

Where you'll park

Organizers hope for a smooth parking experience in Boone on Saturday. Concert-goers can buy parking passes in advance from lukebryan.com/farm-tour for $5 (parking costs $10 on show day, the website says) and lots open at 2 p.m. Most parking will be located at the Central Iowa Expo — known for hosting the Farm Progress show and now defunct rock show Lazerfest in past years  — and the Ziel farm (1112 South Ave., Boone), home to the show, can be found just north of the Expo.

Boone County Chamber of Commerce executive director Kurt Phillips said he believes having the show on a Saturday will lead to more fans coming out early and tailgating. Still, he knows most concert-goers will be leaving the show at the same time.

“Exercise a lot of patience when you leave,” he said. “It’s a sold out concert, there’s going to be a lot of people there.”

What you can (and can’t) bring

Doors to the show open at 5 p.m. and music kicks off at 6 p.m., Bryan’s Farm Tour website says.

A quick look at need-to-know information from the website:

  • Outside food and drink is not allowed inside the show, but is allowed in the parking lots. No glass items are allowed in the lots and no backpacks are allowed inside the show.
  • Grills are not permitted in the parking lots.
  • No overnight parking or camping allowed.
  • No re-entry.

Meet your opening acts

“Heartache on the Dancefloor” and “Head Over Boots” singer Jon Pardi is slated as main support for the 2017 Farm Tour. Pardi returns to Iowa a year after the release of his sophomore studio album, “California Sunrise,” which debuted No. 1 on the Billboard country album sales chart. The singer is also known for tracks “Up All Night” and “Dirt on my Boots.”

Solo artist Adam Craig and songwriting trio The Peach Pickers are also slated to open. Craig is known for working with acts the likes of Jason Aldean, Parmalee and Dustin Lynch. He released a debut EP, featuring the single “Just a Phase,” in 2016. The Peach Pickers — comprised of Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip (who Billboard said roomed with Bryan in college) — have written tracks for Blake Shelton, Brantley Gilbert and Josh Turner.

Officials: Follow these Do's and Dont's for the Luke Bryan Farm Tour

by Hannah Knowles | Newschannel 3

RICHLAND, Mich. — West Michigan law enforcement agencies are preparing for the anticipated Luke Bryan concert scheduled for Sept. 27.

Part of Bryan's 11th annual Farm Tour , the concert is projected to bring in thousands of people.

Hosted at Stafford Farms at Richland Park , Richland Police and township officials, as well as the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, issued rules and regulations for the public to follow.

They say rain or shine, the concert will go on.

Richland Township Clerk Bear Priest said the concert is expected to attract about 20,000 people . Doors to the concert area open at 5 p.m., but parking will open at 2 p.m.

Priest expects 6,000 vehicles to park at the venue. He said residents will notice increased traffic starting around 9 a.m., but the worst of it will come after the concert between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., as the parking area clears. He said he expects it will around two and a half hours for all the cars to clear out.

“I think that everybody should be aware that traffic is going to be a little crazy on the 27th of September. Even the schools took the initiative to make it a half a day, so the buses would not be on the road in the afternoon, and I think that’s a wise decision,” Priest said.

Officials are asking concert-goers to drive into the event through 30th Street via Michigan 89, where most of the parking will be located. Priest said following the concert, 30th Street will be closed just passed the venue, with two lanes leading out to Michigan 89.

Priest said rideshare drivers for Uber and Lyft may be able to drop people off near the concert venue, but they will not be able to pick them up.

Despite a growing concern over the eastern equine encephalitis outbreak , Mike Corfman, the director for the Kalamazoo County Office of Emergency Management, said the concert will be delayed, paused, or postponed only in the event of severe weather approaching or occurring. However, the venue site will be sprayed for mosquitoes prior to the event.

Corfman still said those attending should bring insect repellent containing DEET, and reapply it throughout the night.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office also advises concert-goers to follow these rules :

  • Chairs and blankets are allowed in designated areas
  • No coolers allowed
  • No backpacks allowed
  • No outside food or drink
  • No weapons of any kind, including knives.
  • No concealed carry PERIOD (including exempt and off duty)
  • No fireworks
  • No animals - other than MARKED service animals
  • No video cameras or professional lens cameras
  • No large umbrellas
  • No footballs, Frisbees or hula hoops
  • No re-entry once you are inside the venue fence
  • No glass containers on any of the grounds
  • Tickets must be presented for access to parking areas
  • No parking on public roads or road shoulder; this will be strictly enforced and unoccupied vehicles will be ticketed and towed
  • Bring insect repellent
  • Pedestrian or bicycle traffic along public roads in the area is very dangerous and strongly discouraged

Anyone bringing an RV, can use only one (no more than this) pre-purchased parking pass plus $50 at the gate for a total of $55 to park; and overnight parking is prohibited. Anyone arriving without a pre-purchased parking pass will be charged $75 to park the RV.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .

Opened in 1935, Moscow’s underground system, now 190 miles (305 km) long with 185 stations, is today one the largest and most heavily used rapid transit systems in the world. On this Moscow metro tour, discover the impressive architecture of Moscow’s underground stations and learn how they reflect the Soviet era.

Getting around by metro, your local guide will take you through parts of Moscow’s infamous history. Stop at stations built during the time of the USSR (Soviet Union) that are praised as one of the most extravagant architectural projects from Stalin’s time. After World War 2, he was keen on establishing Stalinist architecture to represent his rising regime and a recognized empire. Learn how when his successor started the de-Stalinization of the former Soviet Union in 1953, the extravagancy of the architecture was toned down.

Discover how the unique character of each station reflected several different eras. While stations like Kievskaya and Slavyansky Bulvar have pompous halls and high stucco ceilings brimming with extravagant decorations, those built later, like Volzhskaya, are lightly adorned with sparse furnishings. Architect Alexey Dushkin and painter Alexander Deyneka were just two of the many artists who made these magnificent landmarks possible.

Revel in Moscow's glory days, as well as the years of scarcity, on this fascinating Moscow metro experience. Conclude your tour at one of the central stations in Moscow. If you're lucky, you may even find the secret entrance to the unconfirmed Metro-2, a parallel underground system used by the government -- a mystery which has neither been denied nor confirmed today.

Culture Shock Rating

We have a wide range of tours designed to give you an insight into the destination you're travelling in and there is something for everybody. The culture shock ratings considers the destination visited, transport used, activities undertaken and that "Wow, I'm really not at home now!" factor. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

This is the least confronting of our tour range. Transport used on the trip is either private or a very comfortable public option, the activities included are usually iconic sites and locations that are not all too confronting.

The tour can include a mix of private and public transport providing a level of comfort that is slightly below what you would experience at home. Sites visited are usually iconic sites, tours can also include market visits, visits to communities etc that provide the traveller with a fantastic insight into destination.

Expect to rough it for parts of this tour, whether it's a packed public bus where you are forced to stand, a visit to a local market, a local community, you are sure to have an experience that is very different from what you're used to at home.

The comforts of your home town and the environment you are used to are more of a rarity. Expect some challenging transport options, visits to local sites and areas that don't resemble anything at home.

You're out there in the global community! You are likely to be exposed to the elements, travel in whatever means of transport is available and basically take it as it comes, whatever comes! It can be tough.

Physical Rating

Our physical rating gives you an idea of how much huffing and puffing you can expect on the tour. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

These tours have very limited physical activity. Usually climbing in and out of the transport provided, walking through sites, markets etc included in the itinerary.

These tours have a bit of physical activity but nothing that should challenge you too much. This could be climbing on and off public transport through to a walk through the destination you're travelling in, they can include walking only tours or a combination of walking and transport.

These tours involve a bit of physical activity from walking up and down hills in the destination you're travelling in or the surrounding areas. Climbing on and off local transport or riding a bike up to 30 kms along predominantly flat terrain or jumping in a kayak for a gentle paddle on flat water.

These Tours will provide you with some solid physical activity. Whether its bike riding, walking, trekking, kayaking or riding on public transport you will need to have a good level of fitness to enjoy this tour.

Be prepared for some serious physical activity. These tours are our most challenging and involve some serious walking, hiking or bike riding. Can involve step climbs by foot or pedal and some challenging public transport options in the destination you are travelling.

Luxury Rating

Some trips are like a stroll on the beach, while others have you trekking alpine passes. Some of you thrive on camping out on the savannah, while others may prefer a hot shower and a comfortable bed in a lodge. Follow the grading systems below to find the right trip for you.

To help you choose the trip that's right for you, we've broken all of our trips down into four service levels. Measuring the comfort level of the accommodation and transport. So whether you're travelling on a budget and want to save money by using public transport, or prefer upgraded accommodation and are happy to pay a little more, then we have a level for you.
