Thank you Amy and Rabbie's

Your guide - Amy. Wow. Her knowledge, her enthusiasm, and her gentle way made our trip so very special. This is our 7th or so Rabbie's tour and your guides and itinerary never fail to disappoint. The guest house you vetted for us was fab. The hostesses was kind, welcoming and a joy to visit with. Her breakfasts were BRAW. So, yes. Another stunning Rabbie's tour in the rear view and IMHO Amy is the reason - oh yes. Her music selection - her personally curated playlist having EVERTHING to do with where we were traveling to was simply EPIC

Highly recommend this tour!

A wonderful adventure! Don’t miss this trip! The Isle of Skye is a must see! It doesn’t disappoint. Graeme was personable and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Scotland and was full of great stories to illustrate the history and folklore of the area. He gave the group options as to what we wanted to do (time and weather permitting) to customize our experience. We opted to stay at the B&B’s and enjoyed our time (albeit very short) there as well. Highly recommend this company and this specific tour.

An amazing tour of NC500

This was our first 3day tour and won’t be our last, we had an amazing experience on the north coast 500 that leaves from Inverness, kev our driver and tour guide went over and beyond with his knowledge and special stops along the routine. There was nine of us together on the tour the perfect amount and everyone were lovely. We had some bonus stops along the way, a little tour of farm animals, which had an lovely restaurant on site. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone 😊

Small group tours are the best!

Small group tours are the best way to make the most of your sightseeing time. You get to the best of the sights without the crowds of the big tour buses, and short queues at toilet stops and café /lunch stops. Our guide was an unending fount of knowledge as well as a skilled driver who made us relaxed, comfortable and entertained the whole day.

Glencoe and the Highlands

Everything ran on time and was very professional. Our guide Roger was so informative. We learned a tremendous amount about Edinburgh and the Highlands. It's nice to have the smaller size group that Rabbies specializes in. We enjoyed this trip so much that we signed up for another one the next day. I highly recommend this tour and Rabbies in general.

Smaller size and amazing Guides

The small size and the guides are what make these tours so special. The itinerary allows for smaller villages and scenic drives that large bus tours don't always offer. Both Graham and Samuel were amazing, entertaining, a wealth of knowledge and the reason this is my 4th Rabbie's Tour. Can't wait for the next one.

The perfect day out

Rabbie's tours are great fun. Our driver Ewan was very knowledgeable, charming and funny. He made sure that even the bus ride itself was entertaining and not boring in the least. The Outlander sites we visited were beautiful and with the weather on our side, it was a perfect day out.

My wife and I booked to go on the outlander tour. It was an amazing experience with the company looking after you from the 1st minute until the end. Our driver Ewan was absolutely fantastic full of facts and wonderful stories of Scottish history. I would highly recommend this company and tour to anyone.

Two great tours!!

We took 2 Rabbie’s tours….one to St. Andrews and one to Isle of Skye. Both were wonderful. Our guides, Nik & Mick, were very knowledgeable and entertaining. I will highly recommend Rabbie’s tours to anyone I know traveling to Scotland.

Small bus format rocks

I loved the small bus format. Stevie was our guide and he knew all the best places to stop for beautiful pictures and had relevant stories and explanations for all of the important sites. The bus was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of toilet stops along the way. I would highly recommend this company and this tour,

1 day tour to Royal Deeside and Dunnottar Castle

Lovely tour to Royal Deeside and Dunnottar Castle from Aberdeen. Neil was a very knowledgeable guide and told us lots of stories throughout the day. Royal Deeside was very beautiful and we enjoyed the off itinerary trip to Balmoral. We especially enjoyed the “emergency” highland cows thrown in at the end of the day. Thank you Neil and Rabbies!

Great tour!!!

Our tour guide Shauna was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were given ample time at each location (Clava Cairns, Culloden, Beauly and Glen Affric) and she also made a few extra quick stops for photo opportunities. It was a great day!!!

Absolutely brilliant tour of Orkney…

Absolutely brilliant tour of Orkney with Rabbies. Helen, our driver/guide was excellent and made sure everyone in the group had a great time. Rabbies is particularly good if you are a lone traveller ...I can't recommend them highly enough!

Overall great tour; communication from company needs improvement

Our tour guide, Liam, was knowledgeable about the sites and stops we made. He also was considerate of everyone when making bathroom stops, making lunch reservations and pick up/drop offs. The few things I wished were different was the level of communication with where we would be staying. We received no communication from Rabbie's about where were we were staying. One of the places we stayed had paper thin walls, when we asked if the duvet could be changed due to dried blood, they changed the duvet but we came back to our room unlocked. Since it was not Rabbie's fault but it was the B&B - maybe they need to periodically review the B&B's they partner with and when they book the B&B's, a short email would be nice. Despite those things, I would do a tour with Rabbie's again.

I went on two, day tours. And thoroughly enjoyed both.

I went on two day tours. West Highland and Outlander. Fantastic. The buses were clean, comfortable and luxurious. The drivers, Mina and Lynsey, were friendly, very knowledgeable and extremely competent drivers. The tours were everything that I was hoping for. I would gladly recommend both tours. Thank you Rabbie’s for the experience. I greatly appreciate your office staff who helped me secure these tours before I left Australia.

Like a private tour! Don't miss James!

The 10 hour day trip to North Wales from Manchester was wonderful!! James was an amazing tour guide. He drove beautifully on difficult roads, while giving us great information about the area. He also had a perfect playlist of music that fit the areas we were in! The tour bus was comfortable, and the stops were timed well. It was like having a private tour. North Wales was a great day trip. We'd like to go back again.

Highland Tour Fun

We enjoyed the tour. Our driver was upbeat and informative, sharing tour related material sprinkled with personal observations. We would have preferred a bit more time at the Glencoe Centre, but it was a full day and who could resist those “coos”?

1-day trip to West Highlands, Lochs and Castles

Our day trip to was an excellent addition to a short holiday in Edinburgh and we were really happy that we booked it! We saw lovely landscapes, villages and castles, and were lucky to have beautiful weather throughout the day. The guide-driver Dave was great and covered all the possible aspects one could wish for. Highly recommend.

Jim and Bruce wer AMAZING tour guides! Jim really knows his history (including Outlander facts) and how the road goes! They were both extremely safe drivers, taking us to so many picturesque places with no one but us there! I definitely would recommend to anyone!!

Oxford and Cotswolds

Neil was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the area, history and various topics. I would have rated the tour a 5 but for the itinerary, which I believe he did not set. I wish we had more time in the Cotswolds- maybe see more villages and less time in Oxford. Oxford was "ok" to say the least. Typical college town. The Cotswolds are stunning and definitely need more time.

New to TTG?

The tours that are a lifeline to independent british businesses.

Katherine Masters

Booking small group tours of rural Britain can help provide crucial support to independent businesses, specialist operator Rabbie’s tells TTG, as the operator marks 30 years of organising trips

eCard

To celebrate 30 years of running small group UK tours, Rabbie’s has revealed its positive impact on other small businesses in the UK. The Scottish-founded operator supports an estimated 210 full-time jobs, has facilitated 98,000 overnight stays in the last year and in 2019 it poured more than £16 million into rural accommodation. With a 24% increase in bookings this year compared to last, these figures look set to increase.

The economic boost this staycation market can provide to small businesses, such as family-run B&Bs and village pubs, has never been more valuable. Statistics from the Federation of Small Businesses show that 82,000 small operations closed their doors for good in 2022, while the British Chambers of Commerce reports that UK hospitality firms are the businesses most likely to see a diminished turnover during these challenging times.

Forty per cent of Rabbie’s business comes through the trade, and director of sales and marketing Heather Reekie said:

“These figures are troubling not only due to the hole they leave on a tourist’s itinerary, but local pubs and restaurants also act as core infrastructure for rural communities. One of the last remaining hopes for local hospitality businesses is the high demand for small group regional tours around the UK and Rabbie’s small coach tours are uniquely positioned to support rural communities.”

Dalmore Guest House © Rabbie's

Rabbie’s uses mini coaches to operate tours that visit villages and off-the-beaten-track destinations that larger coaches simply cannot reach. Reekie adds: “This provides a unique and genuine touring experience while supporting the economy of small communities by spreading the tourist pound beyond the popular landmarks.”

Among the small, independent businesses supported by Rabbie’s is Dalmore Guest House in Inverness, a business relationship that dates back 30 years. Owner Dave Reid says: “Our relationship with Rabbie’s Tours began when its founder (Robin Worsnop) came to our guest house looking for a room and met my mother Molly who was landlady at that time. This was the beginning of a business relationship with Rabbie’s which we are proud to say continues to this day. The guest house is now run by myself and my wife Janette.

“We have been delighted to witness first hand the tremendous success of Rabbie’s over the years and the longevity of our business relationship has enabled us to continually reinvest in our own business. We are very grateful that Rabbie’s has the foresight to use small accommodation providers like ourselves as this gives guests a more personal service.”

Personal service

The Kilted Fox on the Isle of Skye is another accommodation partner of Rabbie’s. Owner Hannah Searle explains how they work together on an almost exclusive basis, which has business and environmental benefits: “Local tourism is the primary income for many residents in Skye, including our own business. It was really important for us to feel like we were working together with Rabbie’s, rather than using the bigger booking platforms where support is lacking.”   “We also aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible, so working with Rabbie’s means we can significantly reduce cars on the road. Previously our guests would travel in up to six cars at any time, now it’s just one bus!”

Maureen Savage from the Sheiling Guesthouse in Ullapool agrees that working with Rabbie’s is great for the local economy: “Rabbie’s guests stay with us for two nights, giving them time to enjoy the lovely village of Ullapool and experience the local restaurants and gift shops.” “The guests love all the home-made breakfast items at The Sheiling Guesthouse from the home-churned butter, our own recipe granola, to the home-made sausages and a universal favourite is the home-made muffins.”

Go beyond the guidebooks when you join one of our small group, guided tours of the UK & Europe. Guaranteed departure & experiences. Book online now.

Rabbie’s small group tours are driven by curiosity and guided by storytellers. We find the stories that go deeper and live longer in travellers' minds. On our journeys, everyone’s hungry for the little-known or just-happened, and we can go after them: no track too small, too trodden or obscure. No need for scripts, because our guides know places like the back of their hand.

Big stories start small, and small stories are everywhere. That’s why we chase ‘what ifs’ and ‘why’s on every path, highway and the odd wrong way. Collecting stories you carry home and carry on as your own.

They say that Europe's all gelato-coloured towns, fabled castles and Mediterranean sunsets. But beyond the crowds there's another side to the story...

On small group tours, we all want to understand more. See from other points of view. Not satisfied by ‘top sites’ and ticklist routes, we find the stories that go deeper and live longer in your mind.

Rabbie's Tours Head Office: Reviews

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic experience during the 4-day Islay whisky tour in late October with Billy! We got to see and do so much in four days. Billy was extremely knowledgeable about whisky and the history of Scotland, and he showed us some amazing views along our journeys. We also loved the Lochside Hotel that the company booked us at. I would 100% take another Rabbie's tour, especially with Billy!

Fantastic experience: I took the 1-day tour covering the Highlands, Glencoe, and Loch Ness. I was afraid this might be constant driving with only 2 stops along the way but I was so happy to be wrong. Graeme did a great job of not only keeping us all on track but also providing some great stories of local history plus multiple stops along the way for photo sessions of the amazing landscape. These are all small group tours - ours was full and we only had 16 people; that's the limit. November may not seem like the best time to visit the Highlands and, I do have to admit, there was lots of fog, it was muddy (maybe not unusual for Scotland) and it got dark around 4pm. But this all provided such amazing atmosphere for the tour, it was well worth it. As a solo traveler, I was put on the left-hand side of the bus, in one of the single seats. And the views from my side were certainly breathtaking but I think either side is ok, as long as you're next to the windows. Since we covered such long distances in 1 day, time for food & souvenir shopping was tight. But Graeme provided some good tips (like visiting the Tesco in the first stop) - just listen to your guide. All-in-all, the full tour was 12 hours - leave a little before 8am and come back shortly before 8pm. When I do decide to come back, I'm very likely to do one of the multi-day tours. Highly recommend, I had a great time.

Fantastic experience: My family did the Highlands tour with Russell a couple weeks ago. What an amazing day. Russell is so knowledgeable! He cracked jokes along the way, he answered every question and really went above and beyond with his stories and keeping us engaged. He played music along the tour which made the whole experience magical. I am so glad we chose to do this! Unforgettable.

Fantastic experience: My friends and I only had a few days of our UK trip to spend in Scotland so we booked the 12 hour highlands tour with Rabbie’s and that was the best decision. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We spent the day with Kelly (aka “Queen” Kelly). She has a background in acting, bus driving, and as a travel agent - she literally could not have found a better job for herself. We got to see the most beautiful sights while Kelly told stories, played music, gave us history lessons, and told cheese jokes. Yes, cheese jokes. She even made sure to show us the best views and that she stopped at less populated spots for our photo stops. The cruise on Loch Ness and meeting the “hairy coos” at the last stop were the best parts of the day. The sights are just absolutely unbelievable. Kelly mentioned she also does 5 day long tours and if we ever make it back, we are absolutely signing up.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I did the Loch Ness, Glencoe, the Highlands day tour. Our guide Graeme was great, offering fun and interesting information throughout the tour. Even if you're not into that, being able to take in the amazing sites without having to worry about driving or parking was well worth it.

Fantastic experience: We did the 1 Day Outlander Tour with Peter as our guide. It was absolutely fantastic!! We had enough time at each spot. We did not feel rushed in anyway. Peter is fantastic! He points out other sites along the way. Tells about history, Outlander and other pertinent films. He made it such a fun time. Peter even had an appearance of “Jamie” at Midhope Castle. I enjoyed meeting the other passengers on the tour.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing tour! My friend and I did the 3 day Isle of Skye tour and we had a blast. Our tour guide Des was fantastic and made it a memorable trip for all of us. Our group walked off the bus on the final day as a family! We experienced beautiful sceneries and moments together. Rabbies organized everything so well from the accommodations to itineraries. I will definitely be touring with them again!

Fantastic experience: We booked the Highlands, Lochness Glencoe tour with Rabbies in dec and it was amazing! Our driver had so much knowledge and experience navigating these roads and made this trip more enjoyable with his stories and banter. Very comfy mini bus and plenty of stops for photo opportunities. Great if you're short on time and would like to experience the Highlands on a day tour. Would definitely book again.

Fantastic experience: To be honest, I was a bit skeptical before deciding to go with Rabbie's on a day trip to North Wales, Snowdonia, and Chester. The reason being, I was not sure if we would have enough time to enjoy 4 places in a single day. But, I was wrong! To start with, we began our journey exactly on time! Our guide, Darren, was kind enough to share so many different stories about Manchester, Wales, and Chester! He made sure we didn't get bored even for a minute during the long journey. I have experience with day trips and sometimes, all you do during the journey is sleep. But, not here. You can't fall asleep when you hear such good stories. We learned so much about the culture of Wales, the legends, the tragic tales and so much more. We had ample time to stop and enjoy nature, take a walk, taste the local delicacies and still have time to explore a bit more. I am not giving more details as it's best when you experience it with them for the first time! I would definitely recommend Rabbie's for day tours.

Fantastic experience: We did the isle of sky tour with Gregor and it was awesome. He had so much interesting information about the history, culture, geography and on top of that was just an awesome driver. Totally attentive to the passengers with plenty of stops for bathroom breaks, souvenir shopping and snacks. One of the best tours I’ve taken. Breathtaking scenery every mile of the tour.

Fantastic experience: Went on a 3 day tour to Isle of Skye with our tour guide Cameron he was very knowledgeable and friendly 10/10 recommend these tours excellent way to see the highlands. Just know some seats are not sitting together so get on early so you can pick your seats.

Fantastic experience: If you're in Scotland, I highly recommend taking a Rabbie's tour. The first visit to Scotland, we took the day trip tour from Glasgow to Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, and Glengoyne Distillery, and it was a great little trip. We promised ourselves we'd take a longer Rabbie's tour the next time in Scotland... so we did! We took the 4 day 3 night Islay trip in September 2022. Keith was our driver, and he was absolutely amazing. Not only did we get some highlights about the sights we were visiting, we also got a lot of insight about Scotland and the Scottish people, which was very interesting. The busses are not huge, I think they cap at 16. We had about 15 people in our group. We never felt rushed and also never felt we were bored or going to slow - it was a perfect pace. We're already thinking of our next trip to Scotland and will probably take the Rabbie's tour to the Orkney Isles. Highly recommended. Also, ask for Keith as your guide. He's the best. He did not ask for this endorsement fyi.

Fantastic experience: Departing Edinburgh, we fully enjoyed a day tour to the villages in the Kingdom of Fife and a linger at St. Andrews, roaming the town with plenty of time for a lunch of fish & chips and walk the links of the historic Old Course. Rabbie’s Tour featured a 16-seat Mercedes bus with an affable driver, structured rest stops and history lessons along the way. It was a fabulous day and it is highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: The Rabbies 4-day Isle of Skye for was a lovely travel itenerary of some of the most gorgeous and scenic places in Bonnie Scotland. Our tour guide, Robbie (Robert) was very knowledgeable of Scottish history and regions and also very accommodating of the mixed set of people (younger+seniors) on-board. He was always able to find something fit for purpose including dietary needs and walking/ hiking abilities. We covered everything from waterfalls to Lochs to mountains to steep hilsides and woodland walks to castles and cathedrals as well as a distillery. Accommodations in the Isle of Skye through Rabbies was clean, cozy, tidy and very comfortable (Piper's lodge). The hosts went over and beyond in their welcome and service. The accommodations in Fort William via Rabbies (Muthu hotel) was not so great (dated, not so functional room layout but the hotel staff was very prompt and service oriented). The small, intimate setting of the tour was instrumental in making some lovely friends and memories amongst our co- travellers. We highly recommend Rabbies and will definitely travel with them again.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience on the Highlands / Loch Ness tour. We had difficulty with a road closure and locating parking but they contacted us and held the bus a few minutes for us! Neil, our tour guide, was both knowledgeable and friendly. This day long trip was so much more than expected with local stops and historical stories of castles and clans. We would definitely recommend this and look forward to traveling with Rabbie’s in the future.

Fantastic experience: Visiting Loch Ness is their longest one-day trip, but our driver drove fast (but safely) while sharing many interesting facts while driving. We took many beautiful pictures since she stopped at several picture spots. The Rabbie's small buses are ideal for short trips because you don't need to wait a lot at the stops :) We recommend Rabbie's to everyone who wants to make their Scottish discovery as stress-free as possible.

Fantastic experience: I did the day tour to see the highlands with Swain. I could not recommend this tour enough! I had an amazing time and Swain was the best tour guide I've ever had. If you're short on time in Edinburgh and want to see the highlands I think this is absolutely the best way to do it. My favorite part of the trip was stopping at a rest stop that had highland cows! They were so adorable.

Fantastic experience: I took the Skye & Eilean Donan Castle - Small Group tour on 8 Sept. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Matthew was awesome! He was entertaining and funny and kept us engaged the whole day. I really liked the small group aspect of the tour. We were able to mingle a bit and felt less like strangers. I highly recommend this tour. We even got to pet a Highland Coo!

Fantastic experience: We did the highland lochs and whiskey tour with Alisdair yesterday, and it was probably the best tour we've ever had. Firstly, it was affordable and convenient and the coach was very comfortable. We stopped at some great places and made some incredible memories. The MOST impressive part of the tour however was our guide, Alisdair. This guy was perfect. He has a degree in Medieval studies, and was as funny as he was charming. He answered every single question the group threw at him and kept us informed throughout the tour. Would HIGHLY recommend asking to go on whatever tour this gentleman is running. Truly a highlight for us.

Fantastic experience: We had the best Highlands - 5 days - tour with the most awesome, knowledgeable , funniest and fantastic tour guide - Ross Hutton (who is also an amazing photographer). We also had really great weather, which made everything even more memorable.

Fantastic experience: This doesn’t do justice at all. One can’t possibly capture the essence of highlands and of that enchanting experience in words or photos. Yet, I try. We did 3 days of Isle of Skye tour from Edinburgh with Rabbie’s. Our guide Declan was a true exemplary tour companion, exuberant and a delightful raconteur. He took us on wonderful journey through many beautiful breathtaking sights of bens, glens, straths, munros, streams, lochs and castles. He set the stage through music and anecdotes before each site making our sightseeing experience feel more connected and pleasurable. We learned a great deal of geology of Skye, history of highlands, Scotland and reintroduction efforts of wild life. On our way we spotted a pair of white tailed eagle, a deer, horses, herds of sheep and Hairy Coos( Highland cows) Going above and beyond, Declan also advised us how and where we can watch some fringe shows when back in Edinburgh. I am glad we took advice and watched couple of shows. Bus ride is comfortable. We got enough breaks and plenty of time at each sightseeing. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Weather was nice. We were chasing rain and rainbows !! Our stay in Portree at Askival (B&B) was relaxing, comfortable and of great hospitality. We would definitely love to come back and tour with Rabbie’s again.

Fantastic experience: This was one of the best tours I have ever taken in my entire life. My boyfriend and I took a 3 day isle of skye tour with our guide Jim Devine. Never before have I been so interested in a tour - he took every piece of history and turned into a story so that it felt like you were there with the people he was telling you about rather than listening to a history book. He kept recommending great spots for photos, and took so many of us so that we have memories, and made sure we were always places before they got really busy with other tours. And, the entire tour felt like it was trip with someone who just loved Scotland and wanted to share it, and not just someone who is paid for a job. I cannot recommend him as a guide enough. And then the SIGHTS! BEAUTIFUL! 3 days was a quick tour and our days were jam packed but so happy we saw fairy Glen, fairy pools, Quiraing walk, and more. It was enough time if you only have 3 days but would've loved to spend more time to hike the area.

Fantastic experience: I booked the 4 day Skye tour on somewhat of a whim after identifying a gap in my schedule and I couldn't be happier about that choice. Our group had a stroke of luck with the weather which certainly helped our enjoyment. One apprehension I held going in was potential travel sickness from navigating winding roads in a large vehicle. Our 16 seater minibus was a modern Mercedes-Benz with excellent air conditioning and sound system that cornered very smoothly, I did not feel sick at all and was comfortable throughout. The B&Bs selected for us were of a very good standard and represented good value for money. Sinclair, our driver made our trip for us. Full of energy from start to finish, it was clear immediately that he enjoyed his job and took pride in it. With a deep knowledge of geology, history, linguistics and mythology as well as everything in between and beyond, it was a very enriching experience throughout. He was very happy to answer our questions and engage in conversation about all manner of topics. These are all great traits for this kind of tour but when combined with a great deal of flexibility and pragmatism, it really did make sure we got the most out of our short holiday. We were given appropriate times at stops and enjoyed a nice balance of being given time to roam and getting in as much as possible. It helped that we had a very punctual and sensible group and didn't encounter any kind of hiccup. 5 stars out of 5, already plotting my next minibus tour and hoping to make it 5 days next time. Thank you, Rabbie's and thank you, Sinclair!

Fantastic experience: I did the 3-day Isle of Skye and it was a wonderful experience! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do a tour instead of try it on my own but so glad I did! Our tour guide, Adam, greatly enhanced the experience with historical tales, anecdotes, and jokes! He was also extremely considerate, funny, and flexible to what we wanted. The bus/accommodations were good! Medina BNB was fantastic and the bus was comfortable enough. USB ports and fan. The tour and sites were great! Skye was breathtaking and given time to walk around on our own.

Fantastic experience: Went on 3 trips with Rabbies now (Lake Dist, Snowdonia and 2 day Scotland). All were fantastic. They stop at several scenic spots and allow plenty of time in each stop. The tour guides are exceptional and knowledgeable and know all the secrets and facts about the places we are visiting. A really great experience for a reasonable price! For the 2 day Scotland trip, they even picked us up from our hotel!

Fantastic experience: We did the 3 day tour of the Isle of Skye. Our tour guide Declan was absolutely amazing- he had the best stories and humor, made sure we got over a 100% out of our trip and took us to the cleanest bathrooms along the way. The only recommendation is giving us more time to do an hike at Currans. We would tour with Rabbies and Declan again!

Fantastic experience: There's only 1 way to see beautiful Scotland and that is through a Rabbies tour! Our tour guide Graham was amazing and really did a great job of explaining all of the culture and landmarks while keeping the vibe airy and funny. The landmarks and stops on this tour were also perfectly places and have us the right amount of time to explore. 10 out of 10 would recommend and would do another tour with Graham just because he's that good folks!

Fantastic experience: We just finished the 5 days in Wales Tour with the lovely June . June is so knowledgeable and such a joy to tour with the whole 5 days . Met some amazing people in the group which we will keep in touch with . Do yourself a favour and book with Rabbies , our second tour with them and 100% will be back !

Fantastic experience: My partner and I did the 3 day Isle of Sky tour with Keith. Worth every £! Keith was very informative and made sure we all had a great experience. As first timers to Scotland who were tossing up whether to hire a car or take a tour - we 10/10 don’t regret our decision - allowed us to sit back, enjoy the scenery, have insiders knowledge instead of just site seeing and not have to stress about driving on the tiny roads! Thanks again Keith!

Fantastic experience: We had the most fabulous day today on the Loch Ness, Glencoe & the Highlands tour with Lizzie. She was amazing and kept us entertained and enthralled for the whole 12 hours!!! Her knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the day was a credit to her and the Rabbie Company. We would totally recommend this tour and Lizzie without any hesitation to anyone who wants to do a tour of inner Scotland, especially if you have a short stay in Scotland. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic nine-day tour to Isle of Mull, Ilona, Sky and Orkney. I can highly recommend this tour. You travel through breathtaking landscapes. The tour guides are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and told us all kind of stories about the history. Paul and Mark (tour guides) are very good drivers and always kept calm even in stressful traffic situations. The B&B's booked by Rabbie's were also well chosen. Thank you all! This is my second time with Rabbie's and I would definitely recommend the company.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best time you would ever have with a tour company. Did the 3 day trip of the Highlands and Skye, and had an amazing time. Gav, our tour guide was the best. Very knowledgeable, entertaining and ensured we experienced the Highlands properly. Highly recommend taking your future tours with Rabbies.

Fantastic experience: We have to thank our tour guide / driver Gregor, he is so professional, kind, humorous, hard working, handsome, his love for big palm dogs, he saved some sheep before, and most importantly enthusiastic about his job, he works 12-14 hours for this tour day, (July 12,2023, from Inverness to Isle of Skyle, from 8 am to 8 pm) keeping us safe, with well organized trip, non stop tour talk during the trip with his microphone, singing, telling jokes, history classes, he did everything he could to entertain us for 12 hours! He should be the perfect example/representative of the whole tour business, and he levels up company image, and Scotland image! Even in the end there was some road blocking by the police we had to detour and some problems with van tires he managed to send us home safely and keeps us in good mood in the traffic. Everybody was in bad mood in traffic but he tried so hard to ease us with everything. He is also experienced driver. He knows so much about history and local food and everything. He is also handsome, did I mention that? - I wonder if he is single? By the way he also has Scottish accent (of course) and that’s five points more. But anyway, he deserves a raise and promotion! My parents in law are from Canada and my partner and I are from California, we didn’t expect much from this tour service but it goes beyond expectation because of Gregor. We had a great time on the trip! Worth the money and highly recommended! The van is comfortable. Recommend to sit on the left side to see more views.

Fantastic experience: 5-Day Highland Explorer and Isle of Skye Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh: My friend and I booked our tour with Rabbie's and so glad we did. Kelly our tour guide/driver was amazing, a great story teller. She also recommended local food areas and places to visit, just in general an awesome person. The tour itself was mesmerising with the views of the Isle of Skye, to the beaches on the Highlands and beautiful Castle structures. We were a group of 13 and the banter was amazing! (I'm sure we kept Kelly entertained the same). the good thing was that we stopped at many places, with the views of Scotland. We asked Rabbie's to book our accomodation for us and glad we did as many places were fully booked (especially during summer time). My only big tip is if you book this tour, make sure to book a restaurant in advance in Portree, as most of them were fully booked during busy summer season. It was a pleasure to be on the tour with the fantastic group we met and hopefully we will cross paths again.

Fantastic experience: I did the 1 day Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands tour from Edinburgh. I cannot recommend it enough! I would love to go back and do a 3 or 5 day tour next. Our guide, Stirling, was incredibly informative but also very engaging with the group. Since I was a solo traveler I got to sit in the front seat next to him and I enjoyed talking with him. If you’re wanting an easy overview of the highlands this is a great option but be aware you’re going to spend basically the whole day on the bus. There will be stops for bathrooms and photos but overall this is just a great scenery tour!

Fantastic experience: Tour with Jim Scott the Scotsman was so fun!! He was highly entertaining and educational. We thought the drive might be a bit long/boring but Jim kept us entertained the whole ride. I would say skip on the boat tour part, it was kinda cheesy, I think our time would have been better spent walking around the town or sitting by the water. Overall great time but sad we didn’t get to see highland coos up close

Fantastic experience: Martin was a great tour guide he made it so much fun! Castles, history, outlander, film sites, hikes, beautiful scenery and photo ops. Martin was funny and entertaining and knew everything he answered all qs and I would def go on a tour with him again. Would recommend to bring snacks if you can’t wait between stops and to make sure to book dinner reservations before the tour to have a spot. Can’t wait to go on another tour to isle of skye or Ireland next time

Fantastic experience: My family and I took a three day tour up to the island of Skye with Andi, who is one of the best story tellers I have ever been around in my life. Coming from a background in education he knew all the history of Scotland, which included many of the famous battles, prominent figures, and overall stories of the land all around us. Days after the trip we were still talking about all the fun we had on the trip, and the hilarious stories we had from the trip. One of our biggest takeaways is having a funny, knowledgeable tour guide, and believe me Andi exceeded those requirements and really made this journey a memorable one for my family and I. In the future when we come back we will definitely be booking here again. The whole journey up to the island was really scenic and we stopped at locations that were all worth it. I don’t feel like we stopped at any stops that were wasteful. Everything was really planned out well and I’m so happy my family and I have such a great memory that we now have traveling up into the highlands!

Fantastic experience: Excellent 3 day Isle of Skye Tour in early June. Bruce M was an amazing guide! Super fun to be with, very informative, engaging, went out of way to accommodate travellers’ request. Made the trip wonderful.

Fantastic experience: We took the 3 day tour of Isle of Skye, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Our guide was Stuart B, and he was so passionate about his job and knowledgeable of Scotland's and the regions history. Right from the word go, he shared so many interesting tidbits and stories of his own childhood growing up near Edinburgh, of the Highlands as well as his experiences abroad. Along the journey, he matched the scenery and the places with a beautifully tailored playlist of Scottish music. Along the route, we visited Loch Lubnaig, Three Sisters of Glencoe, Glenshiel, Eilean Donan Castle. While at Isle of Skye, Stuart B gave us some great recommendations for food. On Day 2, we visited Fairypools, Sligachan Old Bridge and Dunvegan Castle. On our last day, Stuart B arranged a ferry ride for us instead of crossing over to the mainland by the conventional bridge route. This was an unique experience for us. We also got to visit Loch Ness, the Dalwhinnie whiskey distillery and fed highland cows at Perth. All in all, it was an amazing 3 days. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Lizzie was absolutely amazing!!! Very informative and funny. Her energy is great we have been talking about her tour nonstop. It was the highlight of our trip! Definitely recommend and 100% would love to do another Rabbie’s tour.

Fantastic experience: We went on the 1-day Alnwick Castle, Northumberland Coast & Borderlands tour. We loved the tour, the sights, and our wonderful tour guide, Fiona! She went out of her way to get to know all of us and we didn’t feel rushed, which is not always the case on tours. We would definitely love to visit the castle again - highly recommend the Harry Potter broomstick lesson and the Poison Garden! So fun!

Fantastic experience: I took the Loch Ness, Glencoe & Highlands day tour in April and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Mac, was exceptional and made the trip truly memorable. Despite my initial concerns about a ~12 hour tour and my tendency to get car sick, Mac’s engaging storytelling (puns included) and playlist made me fall in love with the vast, stunning Scottish landscape. I learned so much about the country and its history. I’ll say that I wish I’d gotten to see more of the hairy coos and lambs up close, but I’ll just prioritize that for my next trip :) The tour was intimate, with a great group of people. As we took in the scenery, Mac picked up trash at every stop (two full trash bags). It was clear that he had a genuine love for his country and was passionate about sharing it with others.

Fantastic experience: Perfect tour experience. From beginning to end, Rabbies Tours were professional, friendly, and a great value. The van was modern and comfortable, and the nightly accommodations were clean and conveniently located. The sites visited were a perfect mix of Irelands' geological, historical, political, and cultural nature. My guides Gabriel, Colm, and Mike were outstanding and made the experience come alive. I highly recommend Rabbies Tours, and I myself will book with them in the future.

Fantastic experience: I recently went on a tour through the Scottish countryside and I have to say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. We did the day trip, west highland lochs and castles, starting from the bus station in Edinburgh. From the stunning landscapes to the friendly locals, every aspect of the tour was wonderful. Our tour guide, Stuart, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Scotland's history and culture. He regaled us with stories of Scottish heroes and battles, and pointed out significant landmarks along the way. It was clear that he was deeply proud of his country. We even made a couple of bonus stops throughout the day to see things like the Kelpies or a bonus castle. The countryside itself was breathtaking. We drove past rolling green hills, sparkling lochs, and rugged cliffs. Every turn in the road offered a new and stunning view. We even got to see some Scottish sheep up close, which was a real treat. We stopped at the Kelpies, lookout for Stirling Castle, Doune Castle (for Monty Python or Outlander fans), Lock Lubnaig, and more, with a lunch stop in Inveraray for some food and views. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland. It was a fantastic way to see the countryside and learn about the country's rich history and culture. I would definitely go on this tour again and again.

Fantastic experience: Helen is amazing and a wealth of highland knowledge! I booked isle of Skye from Inverness and it was a perfect Scottish day! Doesn’t seem like 12 hours because you are engaged, rested, active, fed…at the most perfect times! Skye is visual perfection and Rabbie’s uses time very well. 100 stars would do it again! My 15 year old said he would do this tour everyday, he loved the stories and scenery!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful trip! We choose the 'West Highlands, Lochs & Castle' trip (1 day tour). The guide we had was amazing - Liam. He gave very interesting information throughout the trip and threw in a few jokes inbetween. We saw three castles in total of which we could visit one. We saw the other castles from a distance. Due to the winter most castles were closed. Because of this, they made sure we got the best viewing point to still see the castles.

Fantastic experience: The hilarious commentary and story telling from our fantastic guide: Queen Kelly the Great started as soon as we left Edinburgh and had all of us laughing or on the edge of our seats the entire trip. She ensured we had plenty of rest stops, catered fantastically for an older passenger with mobility issues and let me take as many photos as I liked of the beautiful Scottish scenery. The time flew by as she played Scottish songs, regaled us with tales of the Highlands and Jacobites along with bonding over all of our shared love of Outlander and everything Jamie Fraser. Would definitely recommend Rabbies Tours for anybody looking to experience Scotland and I know I will be back for more. Cheers Kelly for a fantastic time - from a very satisfied Aussie traveller.

Fantastic experience: Great 3-day tour of Scotland and Skye. We had regular stops and visited breathtaking landscapes, and never once did we feel rushed. Our tour guide Iain was just amazing, he provided useful facts and many nice stories and he gave us a few good laughs as well. Great guy, thanks so much Iain for everything! David & Mary

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience with Rabbie's. Our tour guide - Bruce M - was an absolute gem. We did the West Highlands Castles & Lochs tour - it was perfectly timed because we saw a LOT and yet we were back in Edinburgh in time for dinner. The locations were superb, lots of time to hop off the van and explore. We learned about the history and traditions of the area and listened to some great Scottish music which still makes us cry when we listen to it. This tour was a major highlight of our trip to Scotland. Thanks so much Bruce !

Fantastic experience: We had a really unforgettable experiences with Rabbie’s Tours. The B&B accommodation that we booked via Rabbie’s was £50 per person each night and the room was great. Our tour guide Robert(Robbie) is a super nice guy who is knowledgeable about Scotland. He even bought some carrots for us to feed the highland cows! Also, Robbie played some decent Scottish music during the trip and he really has a good taste in music! I would definitely recommend Rabbie’s Tours to my friend!

Fantastic experience: Isle of Skye was the best tour I've been on! Niel, our guide, was knowledgeable and helpful! Being in a smaller group setting meant we all got to know each other pretty well after 3 days, so it just felt like a tour with friends by the end. Isle of Skye and the Highlands were completely breathtaking. I'd recommend them to anyone whose hesitant to use a tour group to see more of the country

Fantastic experience: Absolutely excellent tour. Our Guide was Graham Ferguson , and was very very good at his job, was knowledgeable and passionate about Scotland, had the best suggestions for local food. He was great with everyone on our 4 day tour of the Isle of Skye and Highlands. I loved the Rabbies tour and their company for giving the guides the ability to deliver a Highly specialized trip. I can’t wait to go again. We will definitely ask for Graham by name. Thanks for the life long memories.

Fantastic experience: I have done three Rabbie's tours, and each one has been spectacular. The guides know A LOT about Scotland and it's history, so you'll come away not only having seen Scotland but having learned about it as well. I've gone with groups and solo, and have had a great time either way. Shout out to Mac and Willie for being wonderful guides!

Great tour with beautiful scenery

Great tour with interesting history and beautiful scenery. Our driver/guide Iain was very friendly and had great knowledge about Lewis and Harris made our tour something extra!

Date of experience : April 23, 2024

A wonderful way to explore Devon and Cornwall

We loved our small group only 8 this trip in a comfortable 15 seater. Our driver Samuel was informative, on time and helpful if we needed any assistance. The audio system in the bus was very clear. Accomodation made by Rabbie's was excellent. Loved seeing places a little off the beaten track along with some of the hot tourist spots.

Great Tour with Matt 👌

Really enjoyed the tour! Matt gave us interesting insights about the Cotswolds and the history behind it. Plus he even played sweet British music on the bus! Definitely worth booking this tour!

Another amazing Rabbies adventure

I’ve been on many Rabbies tours and am always extremely happy with my experience. Our trip to Skye with Owen was beautiful, fun and informative. He’s a great guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Really nice driver and we got lucky on the weather! Saw beautiful places. Only big complaint is that the Mercedes van seats were TOO NARROW and very uncomfortable.

Date of experience : April 25, 2024

Our Scotland tour from Edinburgh to St. Andrew’s, Kingdom of Fife.

We truly loved our tour with Rabbie’s. Our driver Ally was wonderful. Shared so many historical stories, pointing out many things we may have missed without his knowledge of the land. He was easy to understand, a good driver, and was very accommodating to the whole group. He even shared some fun family stories with us. I would highly recommend this tour and company to anyone wanting to get a close up and more personal tour experience.

It was everything we hoped for and much more. Our driver, Graeme, was a knowledgeable host and entertaining guide. It was the best possible way to see the sights and learn a bit of the history behind them.

Date of experience : April 26, 2024

It was an amazing experience

It was an amazing experience. The tour guide, Gary was friendly and gave great info about the places we visited and overall about Edinburgh/Scotland.

The driver tells the stories like it was their first time. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

The company employs the best driver/guides. Full of enthusiasm for a trip they have made many times. The van was clean and in very good condition. Jim, our driver for the coastal route was the kind of driver you’d expect from Rabbies tours having done one before. Very cheerful, informative and humorous.

Date of experience : April 22, 2024

Heart of Scotland

Tour guide provided great information about the area and history. Stops along tour were timed well. Tour gave us the ability to see parts of Scotland we would never have seen. The landscape is awe inspiring and the people so very kind. Thank you.

Money well spent!

Our guide Kim was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the planned stops, as well as the quick “stretch your legs / photo opportunity stops.” Kim had some great recommendations for things to do when we got to our destinations, as well as things for after the tour, in Edinburgh. The destinations were beautiful, however looking out the window and listening to her commentary were also a highlight. Highly recommend!

Date of experience : April 18, 2024

Wonderful tour

Wonderful tour , perfect amount of stops . Tour guide Gary was fabulous and made the trip so enjoyable with his knowledge of Scottish history . Will definitely sign up for another tour in the future .😁

George - the best tour guide ever

The views of Scotland are amazing, but George, our tour guide, was incredible. He made every stop special and the drive so fun. What an incredible trip!

Rhys was an amazing tour guide!

Rhys was our tour guide and he was fantastic! It was our first trip to Scotland and we really wanted to get a good sense of what the country was like (not just see the one city of Edinburgh that we were staying in). He was funny, very knowledgeable, charismatic and patient at the many stops we hit along the way. It’s a full day (about 330 miles) and you get a nice tour of the Highlands and other areas as well. Would definitely recommend Rhys again!

Date of experience : April 20, 2024

Oban, Glencoe and Lochs and castles 1 day tour

The tour I was part of, our tour guide was named Grant. He made this tour exceptionally welcoming for everyone. He told stories, played music and joked with people on the tour. He made sure we got stopped at as many places possible and gave us some decent time there too! The scenery was gorgeous and it was really cool to learn so much about the Scottish history. Plenty of places to stop for restrooms and pictures and the only place that charged for a bathroom was Oban. I definitely recommend this tour, no matter if you’re Scottish or not, I am, I learned so much and had such a wonderful day full of lovely views, laughs, jokes, stories and music. I’ll definitely be back

Al was an absolutely amazing tour…

Al was an absolutely amazing tour guide, and he gets 5 stars from me for a great day. The reason why I gave it four stars is that I wish that we had more time at places. I would rather have less “places” on the itinerary with longer stops than just a quick photo. Loved seeing the highland coos and Doune Castle

On our Isle of Skye tour guide Lizzie…

On our Isle of Skye tour guide Lizzie was excellent. Extremely personable, friendly, knowledgeable about all aspects of the landscape and history. Also kept the tour moving at a perfect pace. Very enjoyable experience.

Lovely Spring Tour!

On April19th we took a Rabbie's tour to the Kelpies, Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle. What a wonderful experience we had enjoying these sights and all the beauty of Scotland along the route! First stop was the impressive sculptors of the horses and we learned why horses were so important in Scotland. Next, was the beautiful Loch Lomond, we took a little hike to see a vista that included snow on the mountains! We then took a quick trip to see long haired Scottish Highland cattle and lambs galore as it is lambing season. Lastly was Stirling Castle with stunning scenery all around. A guide gave us a detailed history and glimpse into the life of the Castle, very interesting. Most of all, we were blessed to have Gregor as our Rabbie's guide and what a gem he is! He was warm, friendly, personable, funny and so knowledgeable, he made Scottish history come alive!! He also played Scottish songs and explained their background. Ken our driver, he was excellent! I could never deal with the traffic and roundabouts he negotiated with ease. I will be recommending this tour and these two men to all my friends and colleagues.

I enjoyed the information about the…

I enjoyed the information about the history. Jared was a great guide. He was a bit theatrical in his delivery which made it more entertaining, but he was not over the top with it.

Russia increases tourism and cultural cooperation with China

By Pan Yixuan | chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2023-09-07 09:09

rabbie's tours head office rezensionen

A meeting themed “Russia-China Cultural and Tourism Cooperation” was held at the Russian House in Beijing on Tuesday.

Representatives from China and Russia discussed tourism and cultural cooperation.

During an interview with Evgeny Kozlov, first deputy head of the Office of the Mayor and Government of Moscow and chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, he highlighted business and film cooperation between the two countries.

Beijing and Moscow have enhanced business and tourism cooperation after the pandemic. Kozlov mentioned a large-scale communication with “15 companies from Moscow met with 150 companies from Beijing” and methods to promote Moscow-Beijing mutual tourist flow including “more than 56 direct flights from Moscow to Beijing”.

According to Kozlov, businessmen and elder people make up most of the Chinese tourists to Russia and social media has been an important channel to promote Russia’s tourism to Chinese people, especially young people.

Kozlov stressed that an optimistic attitude is necessary to develop tourism in the post-pandemic era.

Besides, “film can be a new kind of business communication,” said Kozlov. He mentioned that Moscow has a cinema platform initiative to create platforms for Russian and Chinese film producers. Studios of about 300 hectares are under construction in Moscow for future investment and cooperation in film production.

Kozlov said cooperation to create new fashion connections would be considered when talking about a fashion trend in China that combines traditional Chinese style and characteristics.
