Taylor Swift, Eras Tour, May 26, 2023

“Oh, New Jersey, I feel absolutely fantastic right now.”

Taylor Swift brought her blockbuster Eras Tour — on track to net an estimated $590 million in ticket sales and become the biggest trek of her entire career — to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on Friday (May 26) evening for the first of three sold-out shows at the massive venue.

The tour (which began in March in Glendale, Ariz., and moves on to Chicago after the Jersey dates before wrapping in August in California) is a three-hour marathon of Swift’s imposing catalog of pop, folk and country classics, which spans massive hits on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as deep-cut fan favorites.

After a muscular opening set from GAYLE and a crowd-pleasing performance by the ever-reliable Phoebe Bridgers, Swift took the stage to thunderous applause.

“There is one thing I dream of with the childlike wonder of a hundred birthdays – the first night of MetLife,” Swift told the crowd at the top of her set. And clearly, her Friday night concert for the New Jersey/New York crowd was a meaningful one for her – not only did she debut three new outfits, but she brought out three guest performers — and offered MetLife attendees an advance screening of the music video for “Karma” approximately an hour before it landed online.

From her marvelous surprise song choices to a moment when the audience surprised Swift to her flashy new threads, here are the best moments from night one of Taylor Swift’s first evening at MetLife on her Eras Tour.

For the Lover era segment of the night, Swift debuted a brand-new outfit – a silvery leotard with deep purple contours and tassels. It clearly afforded Swift a lot of room for movement during the more choreography-heavy moments.

During evermore standout “’Tis the Damn Season,” which proves a song doesn’t need to be loud to elicit a high-decibel audience response, Swift took the stage in another fresh outfit. The new dress was a rich, dark gold, with shimmering pinpoints of light arranged in vertical lines. Almost looking as if it were lit from within, it might be the most memorable look from this tour.

“Marjorie” Moment

While attendees were fitted with wristbands that periodically lit up in unison throughout the night, there was one moment when the audience took luminosity matters into their own hands. During “Marjorie,” a song about Swift’s late grandmother, tens of thousands of people put their cell phone lights on and raised them up. “That was you guys telepathically communicating with each other to create a special moment for me,” Swift said after the song, clearly touched. “My grandmother was a singer, too, and I know she would have loved to sing at MetLife. But her voice is on that song, so she just did.”

During “Enchanted,” the sole song representing Speak Now — which receives a (Taylor’s Version) release come July 7, and presumably a bigger setlist look after that — Swift brought out another new dress. This one was a poofy tulle outfit, which came across like an elevated version of a Disney princess’ ballroom gown; the look beautifully matched the heart-on-sleeve, fairy tale romantic longing of the song.

Phoebe's Victory Lap

After Swift spoke on how her re-recordings offered her the opportunity to dig deeper into her past, she brought out opening act Phoebe Bridgers, guitar in hand, for a duet on a song Swift wrote when she was 22 — “Nothing New,” the duo’s collab on Red (Taylor’s Version). Bridgers had already delivered a knockout set on her own, and she was visibly jubilant to join Swift on stage for her victory lap duet.

“Karma” Is a Video Premiere

MetLife’s Friday crowd was graced with yet another first: the premiere of her “Karma” music video about an hour before it dropped online. “At the very beginning of the year, when I was just starting to train for this tour, I got reached out to by Ice Spice,” Swift explained. “She reached out and said, ‘If you’d ever like to do a collab, I would love to.’ And what she didn’t know at the time is that when I was training for the tour, I was listening to pretty much exclusively just her music every single day. All day.” The two eventually hit the studio. “I not only fell in love with her, but decided she’s the entire future,” Swift said. “I’ve been around so many artists and so many artists just starting out, but I’ve never been around an artist who’s so prepared and curious and focused on what she wants.” After that intro, the delightful, playful “Karma” video made its world premiere for an intimate audience of several tens of thousands of rapt fans.

Acoustic Surprise #1

“I know you’ve wanted to hear this song,” Swift teased before her first surprise acoustic offering. And she wasn’t exaggerating. The pick was “Getaway Car,” a beloved fan fave, and for the song, frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff joined her on stage. “He’s been one of my best friends – he feels like a family member,” Swift said while welcoming “Jersey’s own” Antonoff. In addition to singing lead on a few lines, Antonoff aided Swift with some forceful acoustic strumming on the Reputation highlight.

Acoustic Surprise #2

Midnights is the most recent album to drop before Taylor’s Eras Tour, so it’s no surprise that it takes up a good portion of the setlist. Even so, the standard Eras Tour setlist doesn’t include one of the album’s absolute best songs – but Friday night’s crowd was in for a treat. “This is one of my favorites off Midnights , but I haven’t played it yet,” Swift said, before performing a gorgeous rendition of “Maroon” while seated at an upright piano festooned with a floral design.

Spice Up the Stage

If the “Karma” video premiere wasn’t enough, Swift one-upped herself at the very end of the night by bringing out Bronx-bred rapper Ice Spice to deliver her casually confident verse on the just dropped “Karma” remix. “Make the most noise you’ve made all night,” Swift said as Spice, waiting below, was elevated up to the stage — and the crowd certainly complied. As the “Princess Diana” hitmaker performed to the largest crowd of her young career, she seemed comfortable and a bit awestruck. The two held hands while strutting around the stage, and when confetti blasted out at the end, they had their arms around each other while soaking in the rapturous response.

New Jersey Swifties, the weekend you have been waiting for is almost here.

Taylor Swift will be taking her “Eras Tour” to MetLife Stadium on May 26, 27 and 28 .

During the concert, fans are taken on a journey through the singer’s musical career, love life, ups-and-downs, and hopes and dreams.

Swift’s shows are so highly coveted ( and expensive ) that over 20,000 fans who were unable to secure tickets stood outside Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia just to hear the music legend sing.

A three-plus hour set packed with music from Swift’s extensive discography requires more preparation than the average show. So, here is everything to know in order to have the best “Eras Tour” weekend possible, from bag policies to friendship bracelet trading.

Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium: May 26-28

  • “Eras Tour” merch : If you want to make sure you can secure “Eras Tour” merchandise, getting to the stadium early is essential. Fans have repeatedly stated that lines are incredibly long at the merch trucks and clothing has sold out fast. Swifties who have attended previous shows have recommended fans arrive 2-to-3 hours early if they want the best chance to secure merch.
  • Carry-in policy : If you want to get into MetLife Stadium with ease, a clear bag is a must. According to MetLife Stadium’s website, clear bags must be 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or less in size. If you don’t want to bring a clear bag, the largest non-clear bag you can bring is 4.5″ x 6.5″. Swifties are also allowed to bring in hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes, a portable charger, a 20 oz. factory sealed water, an empty reusable bottle and food of any kind that is contained in a clear plastic bag.
  • Ear plugs : If you want to protect your hearing, purchasing a pair of ear plugs before you attend the “Eras Tour” is a good idea. You’ll thank us after the show.
  • Parking and car essentials : Stadium parking is the worst, especially when it comes time to leave the show. Swifties have advised fans who have not attended the shows yet to take pictures of your parking spot, so you remember where the car is once it is dark out. Others have suggested to park near a stadium exit if possible. Long wait times inside the car when trying to exit should be anticipated, so pack water and snacks in the car while you wait in post-concert traffic.
  • Friendship bracelets : If Taylor Swift says to make friendship bracelets , you make the friendship bracelets. At every stadium before the show, fans have been trading bracelets as a pre-concert festivity. From album titles and lyrics to jokes amongst the fandom, you’ll leave the show decked out in custom Taylor Swift jewelry.
  • Where to buy last-minute tickets : Tickets for the “Eras Tour” are hard to come by, and fans have been scouring secondary market sites. Fans should look to snag last-minute tickets on sites like StubHub , Vivid Seats , MegaSeats and TicketNetwork .

From the wise words of Taylor Swift, “Take the moment and taste it. You’ve got no reason to be afraid,” now that you have these tips for seeing the star at MetLife Stadium.

Upcoming 2023 tours

Taylor Swift is not the only artist going out on tour in the next few months.

Here are a few more upcoming tours you won’t want to miss.

Taylor Swift is such a force that her post-quarantine “Eras Tour” was a sensation the moment tickets went on sale. Despite Swift playing the biggest venues possible for multiple days in each city, the wild demand has helped to make each stop national news, especially as they are documented in real time on social media. Livestreams dominate on TikTok, “I-can’t-believe-you-got-tickets” posts rise to the top on Instagram, and the media cycle analyzes every change in Swift’s setlist, as well her famous friends in attendance.

Thus “Eras” was born, a setlist-busting tour through her catalogue, treating fans to over 40 songs each show. The three-and-a-half-hour plus NYC stop was nothing if not impressive, a clear message that Swift both loves her fans and material. (For non-local Swifties: MetLife is five miles outside Manhattan and is commonly known as the New York City stop for stadium acts. Even though it’s technically in New Jersey, the proximity is why the New York Giants and New York Jets play there.)

Between the tristate happening midway through the run and social media ubiquity, fans were feverish from the very beginning, letting out their first collective roar when hearing Lady Gaga’s “Applause” play over the PA, because they knew it’s the last song piped in before Swift takes the stage. From there, it was a constant eruption of screams, cries and singalongs that lasted the whole night, adoration at a level few artists could sustain.

The genesis of these shows came from what Swift described at one point during the concert as a year-and-a-half-long process ideating the tour, from conceptual sketches to the finished product. Each chapter was a no-expenses-spared jaunt into Taylor’s mind, from the cozy forest home of “Folklore” to the glittery, fist-pumping anthems of “Red,” to the cool blues and purples that set the tone of the “Midnights” portion.

While the setlist has largely stayed the same for the duration of the tour, Swift smartly bakes in two surprise acoustic songs deep into the set, and at the first NYC show she brought out frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff for a rendition of “Reputation” fan favorite “Getaway Car,” and then took to the piano for a “Midnights” deep cut, “Maroon.”

Yet the night’s biggest surprises were all about buzzy Bronx rapper Ice Spice, whose collaboration with Swift on the remix to “Karma” dropped earlier in the day. Before the surprise acoustic songs, Swift world premiered the video to the remix alongside her dancers, many of whom were featured in it. Swift also expressed her appreciation to the rapper, saying that as she prepared for the tour she was “listening to pretty much exclusively just [Ice Spice’s] music every single day, all day.”

For the night’s last song, as some fans started trudging to the exits to beat traffic, a huge roar came again as the rapper dropped by to perform the remix with Taylor, creating a last-minute viral moment.

As the lights went up, the audience still enchanted by Swift, it’s difficult to think of anything more you could ask from a touring artist in 2023. The marathon run sounded great, was filled with both Swift’s huge, hooky hits and deeper cuts, mixed keen musicianship with joyful choreo, and left the audience headed to their cars to queue their own favorite eras on Spotify. For a perfectionist like Swift, it’s a thrilling culmination of her art, vision and hard work.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour in N.J.: Everything to know about her MetLife Stadium shows

S wifties from near and far are converging in East Rutherford Memorial Day weekend as their supreme leader touches down at MetLife Stadium .

Some have dropped thousands of dollars on single tickets to see Taylor Swift’s in-demand Eras Tour .

Here’s an overview of what to expect, both for fans going to the shows and everyone else, including people who just want to avoid Swift-related traffic.

When is Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium?

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour , which started March 17 and runs through August 9, comes to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford Friday, May 26.

Two other MetLife shows will follow, on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28.

All of the shows start at 6:30 p.m.

Those driving — whether to the concerts or simply in the vicinity of MetLife Friday, Saturday and Sunday — will want to leave extra time because of combined concert and Memorial Day weekend traffic.

What is the Taylor Swift special edition CD that fans can only get at the MetLife shows?

On Wednesday, Swift announced on Instagram that her song “ Karma ” featuring the rapper Ice Spice would be released midnight ET Thursday on the new “ Til Dawn ” deluxe edition of her “ Midnights ” album. Swift also said she had collaborated with Lana Del Rey for “ Snow on the Beach .”

Then she shared some information for fans headed to her MetLife shows.

“We will have a new special edition CD available ONLY on site starting at 12:30pm ET on Friday!” Swift said. “This CD will have a never before heard Midnights vault track called ‘ You’re Losing Me ’!”

What time can you show up at the Taylor Swift MetLife concerts?

Parking lots — both for parking and drop-off — open at 12:30 p.m. at MetLife Stadium for Swift’s Eras Tour, but the gates don’t open until 4:30 p.m. for each 6:30 p.m. showtime.

The merchandise area in lot E also opens at 12:30 p.m., and you need a ticket for entry .

You can’t show up without a ticket

MetLife announced that no one can access the stadium parking lots without a ticket to the Taylor Swift show that night.

“For the safety and enjoyment of all those who have tickets for these shows, we strongly encourage those without tickets not to come to MetLife Stadium on show days,” the venue shared on social media.

“Event tickets corresponding to that evening’s concert are required to access the parking lots ... Our parking lots will be at maximum capacity. Additional unauthorized crowds create traffic and gridlock for everyone.”

Drop-off and pick-up at MetLife Stadium

For parents dropping off kids at the shows or anyone getting a ride to the concerts, drop-off starts at 12:30 p.m. at the road between lots D and E, the back of lot E, and lot I near the Giants Training Center.

Pick-up starts at 10 p.m. in lots E and D.

Parking fees and tailgating for the Eras Tour

Event tickets will be checked upon arrival at the parking lots.

Carpooling is encouraged, as is early arrival. Lots open at 12:30 p.m.

Tailgating — Taylor-gating — is allowed, but only one parking spot per vehicle.

The parking fee is $40 per car, and $160 per oversized vehicle/RV/bus; cash and credit card accepted.

How to get to the Taylor Swift MetLife Shows (and how to leave)

Lots open at 12:30 p.m. and pick-up lots open at 10 p.m. each night of the Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium.

But if you’re not driving, there are several options for getting in and out of the shows.

NJ Transit will have rail service between Secaucus Junction and the Meadowlands complex starting 4:07 p.m. Friday and 4:17 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; visit njtransit.com/meadowlands for schedules.

People who don’t have Taylor Swift tickets are advised against using this train, and ticketholders are advised against arriving too early in Secaucus. Trains from MetLife to Secaucus will run until at least 1 a.m. Advance round-trip tickets are available at your home train station or on the NJ Transit app.

A Coach USA bus (351 Meadowlands Express bus) will have service from the Port Authority in New York to MetLife Stadium starting 3:30 p.m., and there will be return service to the Port Authority from MetLife for an hour after the end of each show. For advance tickets ($14 round-trip), visit coachusa.com/351-meadowlands-express .

If you’re taking a ride share service like Lyft or Uber, pick up and drop off is in lot E. (MetLife advises that surge pricing is likely to be in effect, and the volume of people at each show may mean long wait times for cars.)

Attention Swifties: What to know about Taylor Swift Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium

WABC logo

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (WABC) -- Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift fans know all too well that her much-anticipated Eras Tour kicked off the first of three shows in the Tri-State Area on Friday.

There will also be shows Saturday and Sunday at MetLife Stadium, but they have a message for fans to avoid any bad blood : tickets are required to enter the parking lot.

The message comes two weeks after about 20,000 fans who did not have tickets gathered in the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia to sing along to her songs.

"For the safety and enjoyment of all those who have tickets for these shows, we strongly encourage those without tickets not to come to MetLife Stadium on show days," a statement said.

Officials warned concert tickets are required to access parking lots which will be at maximum capacity on the nights of the shows.

And New Jersey State Police also advised against no "Taylor-gating" for those who don't have tickets.

The shows begin at 6:30 p.m. each night, but parking lots will open at 12:30 p.m. and gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Governor Phil Murphy warned Swifties to leave early for the show.

"We've literally got three Super Bowls this weekend, the thing I would say to folks is to get there early, enjoy yourselves, but do so responsibly," he said.

Be warned, fans without an event ticket will be turned away and tickets will not be sold at the stadium.

According to StubHub, the cheapest ticket available for Friday's Taylor Swift concert goes for $1,454 and the most expensive ticket goes for $9,084. However, if you'd like to go with a friend and sit next to them, make sure to breathe because there are tickets going for $143,753 each in section 6, row 11.

A clear bag policy is in effect. Banners and signs smaller than 11" x 17" are allowed.

For a list of prohibited items, visit MetLife's website .

To the lucky fans who snagged tickets to the show, make sure to shake it off and we hope it meets your wildest dreams .

And for those who can't make it to any of the shows, you can still partake in the festivities by enjoying the new official state sandwich: a Taylor Swift Ham, Egg, and Cheese. Gov. Phil Murphy declared the breakfast sandwich the official state sandwich in honor of the tour.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford: Everything you need to know

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Welcome home, Taylor Swift .

Swift's three-show run at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford that begins Friday, May 26, isn't exactly a hometown affair for the pop superstar — but it's close.

And close to the heart. Swift and her family summered in Cape May during her childhood and early teen years before the family moved from their home in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Nashville.

“I spent my summers at the Jersey Shore from the time I was 2 until we sold the house in Stone Harbor when I was 14,” Swift told The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2009. “It was a pretty magical place to grow up.”

The magic lingers. The Shore made an appearance in the 2021 lyric video for Swift's heartfelt ode to her mom. “The Best Day,” and a young Swift wears a Sea Isle City sweatshirt in a video for “Seven.”

The young Swift was a regular at the Coffee Talk coffeehouse in Stone Harbor.

“It's funny because people say, ‘Oh, did you have any idea?’ and I mean what do I know? I don’t know anything,” said owner Madlynn Zurawski to the (Cherry Hill) Courier-Post. “I just thought she was adorable and cute and (had) a very, very nice family.”

Swift hasn't been a stranger to Jersey since she became a music star. She's been spotted at the Lobster House in Cape May, Uncle Bill’s Pancake House in Avalon, and a Target in Jersey City. In 2016, Swift crashed a wedding in Brant Beach on Long Beach Island and performed her song “Blank Space.”

Swift's show at MetLife is part of her Eras Tour, designed to cover material from her 10 albums, released over the past 17 years. There are 10 choreographed “acts”: Lover, Fearless, Evermore, Reputation, Speak Now, Red, Folklore, 1989, surprise songs, and Midnights. In all, it's more than 40 songs in about three hours.

At MetLife, Phoebe Bridgers opens all three shows. Gayle joins in on Friday, Gracie Adams on Saturday, and Owenn on Sunday.

Swift's Eras stand at MetLife will mark nine total times she's played the stadium. That's a record until Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tie it with their scheduled three-show run this summer.

One record that is Swift's forever: In 2013, she became the first female artist to headline MetLife when her “Red Tour” played there.

Check out our Taylor Swift at MetLife Everything You Need to Know below, compiled from information provided by MetLife Stadium and our reporting.

Event schedule

Gates open: 4:30 p.m.

Event starts (estimated): 6:30 p.m. Taylor Swift takes the stage at approximately 7:45 p.m.

More: Jersey Shore Food Truck Fest and more things to do this Memorial Day weekend

Parking/transportation

Day of event parking cost: $40 per car; $160 per Bus/RV.

Parking directions: metlifestadium.com/getting-here/directions

Non-rideshare pick-up/drop-off: Follow on-site signage and directions from traffic/parking team members for the dedicated guests with disabilities drop-off location. The drop-off/pick-up area for guests with disabilities is located near Lot C, which is adjacent to the Verizon Gate. All other guest drop-offs are to be conducted on the sidewalk between Lots D and E. This roadway is accessible from Route 120 (North/South) or from the New Jersey Turnpike via 16W.

NJ TRANSIT TRAIN: Trains will operate between Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium on the BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line. The start time for the rail shuttle varies based on the scheduled start time of the event. Check njtransit.com/MetLifeStadium for complete rail timetables closer to the concert dates. During peak periods prior to an event with rail service, trains operate approximately every 10 to 20 minutes. Customers are advised to consult the rail schedule for the event to note when the final train leaves Secaucus for the stadium and stadium for Secaucus. Visit www.njtransit.com/metlifestadium

COACH USA BUS: Buses will depart at 3:30 p.m. from Area X (41st Street between 8th & 9th Avenus, New York City) at Port Authority. The last departing bus from Port Authority to MetLife Stadium will leave at 6:45 pm. The last bus will leave the stadium 60 minutes after the event ends. Visit coachusa.com/351-meadowlands-express for more information.

Rideshare: A designated Rideshare Zone is located in Lot E off of West Peripheral Road, right outside of the Verizon Gate. When you request a ride from a rideshare service such as Lyft or Uber at MetLife Stadium, your pickup location will default to a pin in the pickup zone. Once you place your request, head to the Rideshare Zone in Lot E and look out for a call or text from your driver to let you know which row they are parked in.

Be advised that rideshare surge pricing is often in effect after the game and larger crowds will result in longer than usual wait times (potentially over an hour) for a car to arrive — and considerably higher prices than what you paid coming to the stadium. Make sure your phone is charged and ready to go if you’re planning to use one of these services.

Shuttles: Shuttle buses are provided to Lot P and the surface parking lots/deck located on the east side (Meadowlands Arena) of the MetLife Sports Complex to the stadium.

Guests parking in Lot P will be dropped-off/picked-up in Lot G (Pepsi Gate) in front of the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Guest parking in the surface lots and in the parking deck near the Arena will be dropped-off/picked-up in Lot C (HCLTech Gate) near the pedestrian bridge. Ticket holders who park in these lots can also walk to MetLife Stadium. They should use the sidewalk from Lot P and the pedestrian bridge from the east side of the Sports Complex. For their safety, guests should not walk on the Sports Complex roadways, cross Route 120 or cross Route 3.

Tailgating is permitted but drones, model aircraft, kites, and any other remote controlled or tethered flying objects are not permitted.

Tailgating should be limited to the lined parking space, and the area directly behind or in front of each vehicle. Blocking drive lanes is prohibited.

Tailgating is also permitted on the medians that separate the parking lots from the roadways. Click here for details.

No ‘Taylor-gating’ for fans without tickets

“For the safety and enjoyment of all those who have tickets, for these shows, we strongly encourage those without tickets not to come to MetLife Stadium on show days,” said MetLife Stadium on social media the afternoon of Wednesday, May 24. “Event tickets corresponding to that evening's concert are required to access the parking lots.”

The parking lots will be at “maximum capacity,” read the advisory.

Merchandise

The MetLife Stadium Flagship Store will be open to the public 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25 to sell tour merchandise. The new “Midnights (Til Dawn Edition)” deluxe album special edition CD will be available only at MetLife starting at 12:30 p.m. Friday. This CD will have a never before heard “Midnights” vault track called “You’re Losing Me.”

The shows are sold out. Ticket prices began at $1,200 on the secondary market as of press time.

Who needs a ticket: All guests over 34 inches in height must have a ticket to enter MetLife Stadium. Children up to 34 inches may enter MetLife Stadium free but must share a seat with an accompanying ticketed adult. Occasionally, for select non-NFL events, another policy may be in place.

Ticket office locations: There are ticket offices located at each of the entrance gates to assist with ticket sales and the reprint of lost/stolen tickets. Please note there may be a fee associated with a ticket reprint. Locations that are open will vary by event.

Ticket office hours: The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On event days, the ticket office will open approximately 3 hours prior to event time.

If you have obtained tickets in non-accessible seating and require the accessible features of these seating sections, call 201-559-1515 to make arrangements for accessible seating in advance of the event. If you have obtained seating in an accessible section and do not require the features of this type of seating, call 201-559-1515 to exchange your seating into a non-accessible section based on availability.

Ticket will-call: Ticketmaster will-call is available at any open ticket window. Guests who are picking up tickets at will-call will need picture ID, their confirmation number and the credit card with which the tickets were purchased in order to pick up the tickets. For select events, specialty will-call may vary. Please see the nearest team member for details.

HOW TO COMPARE TAYLOR SWIFT TICKET PRICES

The tickets for Swift infamously sold out on Ticketmaster, but you can still buy tickets for the MetLife shows on the secondary market, with several reputable choices available.

Below are ticket options through VividSeats:

Swifties (Nicely) Warned Against ‘Taylor-Gating' at Last MetLife Show

New jersey's governor does not want people in the parking lots without tickets -- but at least he's nice about it, by ariel peele and tom shea • published may 27, 2023 • updated on may 28, 2023 at 4:29 pm.

For tens of thousands of fans at Taylor Swift's first MetLife Stadium shows on Friday and Saturday (as well as those gathered outside the stadium), to say you could see "Sparks Fly" during her performance would be an understatement.

It was an Eras Tour for the ages.

After months of buildup, the crowd of more than 82,000 Swifties roared as the singer took the stage around 8 p.m. in her first nights of shows for her Eras Tour at the East Rutherford stadium. Swift was joined on stage for performances with Ice Spice and Jack Antonoff. Her last show is Sunday night, and New Jersey's governor had a reminder.

Let’s make sure we stay Out of the Woods this weekend!   To ensure we have a successful final concert, Swifties without tickets should not plan on hanging out in the @MetLifeStadium parking lots tonight. — Governor Phil Murphy (@GovMurphy) May 28, 2023

Know Before You Go

First off, Friday was reminder of just how important it is to make sure the tickets you have are real, and you haven't been scammed. There was heartbreak at the entrance to the stadium for some fans who tried to get in with tickets they thought were good and verified — but didn't work.

A group dropped $300 per ticket, just to be denied entry due to the phony tickets. One mom flew up from Florida just for the show that the group didn't get to see after all.

"There has to be a better system for real fans. To enjoy music is like a therapy at this point and people need that, you need that security and you can't even get that anymore," said one of the frustrated fans.

Taylor Swift at MetLife: How to Snag Free Concert Tickets

If you've been scouring TikTok looking for tips and tricks, there are some people who have had luck with Ticketmaster the day of the show, even right after the shows have started. If you wake in the night, pacing like a ghost because of ticket troubles,  be careful where you buy . Scammers are using different ways to dupe Swifties into sending money online for a ticket that doesn’t exist.

For more on scams,  click here .

The good news for those who had tickets to Friday's show: It did not appear that the Memorial Day weekend getaway traffic hampered the journey to MetLife too badly, aside from a few congestion headaches that are to be expected with any show of this magnitude.

While trains and buses to the stadium were packed full of fans, there were no reports of any widespread problems getting to or from the concert on Friday.

New Jersey Transit is urging Swifties to  purchase round-trip train tickets in advance , ideally on the NJ Transit app. However, NJ Transit says they will not cap the number of tickets sold.

According to their website, fans traveling on NJ Transit trains to MetLife Stadium should purchase their roundtrip tickets from their originating station to  Meadowlands Station  to avoid boarding delays. Tickets purchased on the train will include a $5 surcharge for each ticket.

MetLife Stadium says NJ Transit service will operate from Secaucus to MetLife Stadium starting at 4:17 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Coach USA Bus , the 351 Meadowlands Express, will operate from Port Authority in NYC to MetLife Stadium starting at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Return service to Port Authority runs for 60 minutes after the concert ends. Tickets are  available here .

For those planning on driving , MetLife Stadium says you must have a ticket corresponding to that evening's show for access to all parking lots. Lots open at 12:30 p.m. the day of each show. It's $40 per car, $100 per limousine and $160 per bus.

win eras tour tickets metlife

Credit cards and cash are accepted. Reminder: the rest of the stadium is cashless. Only credit and debit are accepted.

If we've learned anything from TikTok, there will be traffic, so plan accordingly. Prepaid parking is not available. No pictures to burn here, take a picture of your spot so you can find your car after the show.

Another helpful hint for trying to get into the show as smoothly as possible: Make sure the bag you abides by the stadium's requirements.

MetLife Stadium's policy states that bags must be clear (a.k.a. see-through): 12” x 6” x 12” or less in size, and 1 bag per person. Small purses (clutch-type bags about the size of your hand) 4.5” x 6.5” or less in size (1 per person) are also allowed, and do not need to be clear.

No camera or binocular cases, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags, and briefcases/computer bags are allowed either.

For more information on what bags are allowed,  click here .

Want Taylor Swift Tickets at MetLife in New Jersey? You May Be Able to Buy Them Today (At Face Value)

If you've been trying to get tickets to see Taylor Swift and 'The Eras Tour' at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (or some call it New York), we've got an inside tip:

You MAY be able to buy tickets via Ticketmaster today (Tuesday, May 16) for Taylor Swift and The Eras Tour shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Yes, the tickets would be at face value (and not those insane resale prices).

Taylor Swift and The Eras Tour will hit MetLife Stadium Memorial Day Weekend. She'll perform three shows on Friday, May 26, Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 27.

Why today? Tuesday marks exactly 10 days out from when Taylor's run in New Jersey kicks off, and that's been a key day for Taylor Swift fans at previous stops on the tour.

WIN: Trip to California to See Taylor Swift & The Eras Tour on 94.5 PST

Of course, we don't need to remind you about the fiasco on Ticketmaster back in November when tickets went on sale. If you're a Swiftie, you know this already.

BUT! Ticketmaster has been randomly supplying tickets to fans just days before the show.

So Swiftie insiders have noticed that approximately 10 days before each city that Ticketmaster will offer tickets to verified fans who were not able to initially get tickets to the show.

Ticketmaster has been notifying those fans via text message. Those text messages start around 10 am and are delivered to fans until at least 3 pm. The text includes a promo code that allows fans to choose their tickets.

For me? The message hit my text message inbox at exactly 10:04 am exactly 10 days before her recent Philadelphia concerts . It said:

“VERY LIMITED number of production hold tickets available for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia”

Then it had a direct link and a code to purchase tickets.

There’s Just 3 Competitions Left For Swifties Who Missed Out On Eras Tour Tickets So Be Quick

Alex Bruce-Smith

Now, you may be thinking, “But isn’t pinning all my hopes of seeing Taylor Swift live in concert on a literal competition a huge risk because the chances of winning are so low?” And you would be correct! However, may I also remind you that dealing with Ticketmaster’s loading screen of pain was also a huge risk with low chances. Swings and roundabouts. Winning a ticket also feels marginally more likely than someone deciding that no, they don’t want to go anymore, and selling their tickets on the resale site.

Because I feel for my fellow Swifties, I have rounded up every single way to win Taylor Swift tickets right now, and will be continuing to update this as more come out. Never say I don’t do anything for you, anonymous reader. (Actually, feel free to say it, because we do not know each other, you and I.)

Book dinner at a Crown Sydney Restaurant

Crown Sydney are giving away 44 Taylor Swift tickets to people who book a meal at one of eight different restaurants across December 3 to February 15.

There’s a few catches, of course: it must be a booking on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it must be for four or more people, and there’s a minimum spend per person for lunch or dinner. But if you wanted a decent chance of winning tickets, then booking dinner at Nobu or Woodcut seems like a fun way to try.

These are the restaurants involved in the promotion:

  • A’Mare restaurant — min. spend: $80 per person for lunch, $120 per person for dinner.
  • Cirq bar and lounge — min. spend: $70 per person for lunch or dinner.
  • Teahouse bar and lounge — min. spend: $70 per person for lunch or dinner.
  • TWR bar — min. spend: $70 per person for lunch or dinner.
  • Woodcut restaurant — min. spend: $80 per person for lunch, $120 per person for dinner.
  • Nobu restaurant — min. spend: $80 per person for lunch, $120 per person for dinner.

Total tickets: 44.

Tell NOVA FM which is your favourite Taylor Swift Era and why

This is by far the simplest Taylor Swift ticket competition to enter. NOVA FM is giving away two C-Reserve tickets to one of Taylor’s Sydney concerts, plus flights and accommodation, and all you have to do is hand over your personal details and tell Nova which Taylor Swift Era is your favourite and why. (Yes, that does mean you have to choose between Debut , Fearless , Speak Now , Red , 1989 , Reputation , Lover , Folklore , Evermore , and Midnights , but at least there’s no wrong answers.)

win eras tour tickets metlife

The competition ends on February 2, 2024 at 5pm AEST, so you have some time. Unfortunately, the only eligible states are NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, for reasons unbeknownst to me. If you are a Tasmanian or Northern Territorian who is particularly aggrieved, I suggest you take it up with Big Boss NOVA.

Enter NOVA’s competition here.

Total tickets: 2.

Listen to Hit and call up when you hear Taylor Swift songs

Another super easy way to (maybe) nab Eras Tour tickets: listen to Hit100.9 Hobart between 9am to 3pm on Monday through Thursday, and call 13 10 60 when you hear a Taylor Swift song! It’ll get your name on a stand by list, and you could win 2x tickets so you can go with a friend.

To enter, you have to live in either Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, NSW or Tasmania (sorry Northern Territory and ACT), and be aged over 18.

There will be two winners chosen by Hit: the first winner will get two tickets for the Sydney concert, and the second winner will get two tickets for the Melbourne show. If you live more than 300km away from these cities, your flights and one night of accommodation will be covered up to the value of $4,500!

Read more about Hit’s competition here.

Total tickets: 4.

That’s all for now, folks. We’ll keep updating this story as new competitions open. If you are in the absurdly fortunate position to be giving away Taylor Swift tickets and would like to be added to this article, email me: [email protected] . (If you are a lovely kind human who would like to invite me personally, the email remains the same.)

Taylor Swift stands onstage in front of a crowd.

Taylor Swift announced her highly-anticipated ‘Eras Tour’ way back in November 2022.

Now, six long months later, she’s finally bringing her iconic career-spanning set to East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Memorial Day Weekend.

On Friday, May 26 , Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 , Swift will perform at the Giants and Jets home stadium.

And while we’re excited, there’s only one downside.

Tickets are expensive. Very expensive.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for Swift’s three-night Garden State soiree was $1563 before fees on Vivid Seats.

If that price seems cray cray, we have found that patience may be a virtue when it comes to Tay Tay.

While reporting on the ‘Eras Tour,’ our team has discovered that prices for Swift concerts  typically drop dramatically  on the day before and of the concert.

So, if you’re planning on snagging last-minute Memorial Day Weekend tickets to see Swift (along with special guests Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams, Gayle and Owenn) at MetLife, it might be wise to  bookmark this page  and refresh all week.

You just may find a steal of a deal.

Until then, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming ‘Eras Tour’ Jersey weekend.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Taylor Swift MetLife Stadium schedule

A complete breakdown of all the best prices on upper-deck, lower-level and floor seats for each of Taylor’s trifecta of East Rutherford gigs can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Taylor Swift 2023 ‘Eras Tour’ schedule

If ticket prices to see Taylor in East Rutherford don’t make sense for your budget, it might be in your best interest to see the ‘Eras Tour’ at a later date.

After this three-show weekend, Swift has 24 North American concerts remaining on her schedule after this weekend.

You can find a complete calendar of all remaining ‘Eras Tour’ dates here .

Plus, as an added bonus, we a)  broke down all the best prices  for each upcoming show and b)  shared some helpful tips from a Swiftie  who made it out to to see Taylor on the first weekend of the tour.

Taylor Swift opening acts

This weekend, Taylor is bringing Phoebe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams Gayle and Owenn with her on select dates of the three-night residency.

Here’s what you need to know about the established openers.

Phoebe Bridgers , 28, is a headliner in her own right. In 2021-22, the four-time Grammy nominee took her “Reunion Tour” to venues all over the country and lent her talent to numerous music festivals. You may also know her from her side projects:  Boygenius  with pals Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker or Better Oblivion Community Center alongside Conor Oberst.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for Olivia Rodrigo on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour this spring as well.

Gayle  sings that song you hear everywhere. Yes, Gayle is known for her smash single “ABCDEFU,” which she wrote in response to a comment on TikTok. Following the song’s success, Gayle mounted her tour, dubbed “Feeling It Together,” and hit venues all over the U.S. in 2022.

OWENN , a powerful R&B singer, is the only male opening act on the “Eras Tour.” It’s possible that you may recognize him from Swift’s music video “Lover” where he played the romantic lead opposite Taylor. Haven’t heard his stuff? You’ll want to check out the catchy single “Baby Girl,” which will get you moving and grooving in no time.

Huge stars on tour in 2023

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (maybe more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Adele

•  Madonna

•  SZA

•  Pink

•  Janet Jackson

Anyone still looking for a ticket to the memorial day weekend performances should be prepared to pay up — and be wary of potential scammers, otherwise it could be the start of a "cruel summer" for desperate fans, by melissa colorado • published may 22, 2023 • updated on may 25, 2023 at 11:55 pm.

It's the concert tour everyone has been talking about, sparking a fan frenzy in every city it has visited so far: From Tampa to Philly to Boston.

Crowds of Swifties are expected to take over not only the stadium, but descend upon much of New York City and surrounding parts of New Jersey as well.

So what if you're still in need of a ticket? Well, be prepared to pay up — and be wary of potential scammers, otherwise it could be the start of a "Cruel Summer" for desperate fans.

Demand from fans caused Ticketmaster’s pre-sale website to crash in 2022, triggering lawsuits against the concert ticketing giant and even a Senate hearing. All the hype has driven up prices for re-sale tickets on verified websites, hitting prices many wouldn't believe in their "Wildest Dreams."

"Prices on Stubhub and Seatgeek were starting at the low $2,000’s for nosebleeds," said Leah, a Swiftie from Manhattan who has been scouring the internet everyday to see if there are any tickets for sale. "Two-thousands dollars is not doable for me and not doable for most people, especially living in NYC. It blows my mind."

It’s fertile ground for online scammers, using different methods like Photoshopped tickets to try and fool those hopeful of finding a golden last-minute ticket to the show. Leah said she's seen some that were obvious fakes.

"Like, East Rutherford was spelled wrong," she told NBC New York.

Nationwide, the Better Business Bureau received 200 complaints about Taylor Swift ticket scams. A common tactic: scammers hacking into a real person’s Facebook account.

"On the surface they appear to be a real person. It could be like, Mary from Ohio, and you’re like 'OK, she looks nice and normal,'" said Leah.

But the scammers are reaching out to the victim’s network of friends to sell fake tickets.

"People believe it, they are in such a rush to get these tickets that they send money thru these peer-to-peer platforms and the next thing you know, they’re not hearing anything, its crickets after that," said Claire Rosenzweig, President and CEO of BBB Metro New York. "Don’t get caught up in the desire to have the ticket."

Some parents have been duped by online scammers promising to sell tickets that are nothing but a "Blank Space."

"You know, mom and dad want to be the hero. We want to come through for them," said Brian Fitzpatrick, of Staten Island, whose daughters are Taylor Swift fans. "It's the wild, wild West right now."

Police departments in New Jersey have been warning people about Taylor Swift ticket scams. One Swiftie in Hackettstown was scammed out of close to $1,500. The Fanwood Police Department alerting Swift fansw to stay clear of a particular reported scammer on Facebook, who reportedly swindled victims back in March.

Here's how to avoid getting tricked scammers:

  • Go offline, call your friend to find out if the ticket is real
  • Look out for any grammatical or spelling mistakes on tickets
  • Do not send money using peer-to-peer apps like Zelle or Venmo, which have less protections for scam victims

Leah told NBC New York she prefers using Pay Pal Goods and Services, which includes a fee to protect buyers and sellers.

"If you ask them if they take Pay Pal Goods and Services and they tell you they don’t have a Pay Pal account or they don’t use that, they want to use Zelle or Venmo, that’s an immediate red flag," she said.

Buying through verified re-sale websites – like SeatGeek and StubHub — is likely the safest bet. But be prepared to pay a month’s rent for a seat in the nosebleeds.

"The worst seats in the House are going at almost $2,000 each," Fitzpatrick said of the upcoming shows at MetLife Stadium.

While Leah plans to keep scouring for a ticket to get her “Out of the Woods," Fitzpatrick and his three daughters are picking the less “Bejeweled” option: tailgating in the stadium parking lot.

"I'm a barbecue guy. Maybe I'll bring a smoker and we'll make a day of it," he said.

The advice we know “All Too Well”: If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

"I’m really just looking to get in the venue," said Leah.

Taylor Swift Brings Sensational Eras Tour to MetLife Stadium (Night 3)

Taylor swift, phoebe bridgers, owenn metlife stadium – east rutherford, nj – 5.28.2023 words by brittany isaacson photos by tas rights management.

Taylor Swift brought her highly anticipated Eras Tour to East Rutherford, N.J. for three memorable nights at MetLife Stadium (Taylor’s Version). The record-breaking tour kicked off in March and is vigorously making its way across the country. This weekend’s run of sold-out shows broke MetLife’s weekend attendance record as over 217,000 Swifties poured into the stadium.

As her first tour in five years, it’s no surprise that tickets for the Eras Tour were in high demand. Since 2018’s Reputation tour, the singer has released multiple albums, including Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights, which Swift released in 2022. Swift has also released re-recorded versions of previous albums, dubbed “Taylor’s Version.” Each of her albums brings fans a new distinct “era” unique from the one before it. The Eras Tour is a celebration of Swift’s iconic discography thus far.

Fans of all Taylor Swift “eras” arrived at MetLife stadium early Sunday afternoon for the final show in New Jersey. The Eras festivities commenced as fans exchanged friendship bracelets, snapped photos, and bought merch at the merch trailers. By the time doors were set to open, a sea of fans had lineup up at the numerous stadium entrances. Many of them were anticipating seeing Swift live for the first time. As far as the eyes could see, Swifties waited anxiously in their creative outfits, spanning from a marching band uniform referencing Swift’s “You Belong With Me” video, to sparkly dresses and cowboy boots.

Phoebe Bridgers and Owenn kick off the evening

The stadium filled in as Owenn opened the show. The R&B artist dazzled the crowd with his resonant vocals. Owenn might have looked familiar to some fans, as the singer previously performed as one of Swift’s backup dancers.

Shortly after Owenn’s performance, indie rock artist Phoebe Bridgers arrived on the stage to the tune of Disturbed’s “Down with the Sickness.” Her atmospheric vocals filled the stadium, as fans sang the haunting lyrics back to her. Bridgers’ set included popular tracks like “Motion Sickness” and “Kyoto.” The singer performed “Waiting Room” as her surprise song, announcing that she is re-releasing the song on Bandcamp with proceeds going to charity.

During Bridgers’ performance, she noted that it was the bittersweet end to her time on the Eras tour. She thanked Swift for having her along. Bridgers’ set came to a gripping end as she screamed the final note of “I Know The End.”

The Lover Era

Shortly before Swift’s set commenced, a clock appeared on the huge screen, replacing the collage of album graphics. Fans chanted along as the countdown neared zero. The magic began as dancers emerged from the screen, donning larger-than-life fans printed with pastel colors.

Anticipation built as the dancers converged in the middle of the stage. A roar of screams permeated MetLife Stadium as the fabric pulled away to reveal Swift rising above the crowd, marking the start of the Eras show. The singer was gleaming as she sang the first lines of “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince” in a blue and gold bejeweled bodysuit.

The opening Lover era continued with songs like “Cruel Summer” and “The Man.” Fans waved their arms in the air as Swift performed a shortened version of “You Need To Calm Down.” Swift took a moment to thank the crowd and jumped into the title track and “The Archer.” Considering 2020’s “Lover Fest” was canceled, fans took every opportunity to sing the lyrics to their favorite Lover tracks for the first time.

The Fearless Era

Swift reappeared on the stage with a sparkling silver dress for the Fearless era. Long-time fans were transported back in time as she played the title track on her matching guitar marked with her lucky number 13. The Fearless era continued with “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story.”

The Evermore Era

Another album getting its tour debut, evermore ’s era was next. The panoramic screen displayed an enchanting forest scene as Swift emerged from the floor. The singer dazzled in a gold floor-length gown as she performed “’tis the damn season.” Swift’s backup dancers joined her for a choreographed performance of “willow,” complete with capes and fiery globes.

The fairytale continued as thousands of cell phone lights illuminated the singer for “marjorie.” In an emotional moment, Swift noted that the song is about her late grandmother. “She was an opera singer and…I’m pretty sure it’s a fact that she would have loved to have gotten to sing at MetLife Stadium,” Swift shared. “Her voice is actually on that song, so technically she just did.”

Sitting at her piano, Swift shouted out the “new members of the family,” the four albums released since her last tour before diving into “champagne problems.” The audience’s voices echoed throughout the stadium and erupted in a standing ovation after the song. Swift beamed and her eyes glistened as she soaked in the seemingly endless applause.

The singer-songwriter is known for her artistic ability to tell vivid stories with her lyrics. Swift carries her dramatic storytelling style into her live show, as seen in the closing evermore song, “tolerate it.” Swift transported fans into the emotive song as she set a dimly lit dinner table and performed the choreography alongside her backup dancer.

The Reputation Era

As the lights faded out, a captivating visual appeared on the screen once again, this time depicting an ominous, slithering snake. The thumping bass and hair-raising synth of the reputation era filled the stadium. Fans’ wristbands flashed a rich shade of red. Swift, surrounded by her backup dancers and guitar players, performed “…Ready For It?” on the elevated stage.

The era continued with “Delicate” and “Don’t Blame Me,” during which Swift towered over the audience and belted out one of the most powerful notes of the night. The reputation era came to a close with a smooth transition into “Look What You Made Me Do.”

The Speak Now Era

The reputation snake animation slithered away as the screen radiated purple, hinting at the shift into the short but sweet Speak Now segment of the show. Swift emerged from clouds of smoke wearing a stunning gown, perfect for the whimsical aura of “Enchanted.”

The Red Era

Swift returned backstage for another outfit change while one of her dancers opened and closed red musical chests, teasing the crowd with fragments of nostalgic songs from 2012’s Red album. The magic act culminated in red balloons soaring across the screen. Swift appeared, this time wearing her iconic shirt that reads, “Who’s Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew.” The singer dove into a cheerful performance of “22,” during which she gave her hat to an excited young fan.

The concert’s Red era also featured a heartwarming acoustic duet with Bridgers. For the final time on the tour, the two singers performed “Nothing New,” a “vault” track that debuted on Red (Taylor’s Version). Swift kept things mellow as she closed out Red with the poetic verses of the 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”

win eras tour tickets metlife

The Folklore Era

Marking the progression into folklore , Swift appeared sitting on a moss-covered cabin on the stage, setting the scene for the album. The era served as a more tranquil portion of the show. It featured songs such as “the 1,” “august,” and “cardigan.” Swift twirled around the stage in a flowing purple gown as the crowd’s white lights swayed back and forth. Waves crashed and an eerie forest panned on the screen behind her, creating an ethereal ambiance fit for folklore.

The 1989 Era and surprise songs

The high energy picked up once again for the vivacious tunes of 1989. Swift strutted down the stage in a sparkly orange two-piece outfit as she sang “Style,” certainly living up to the name. “Blank Space” saw the singer swinging a neon golf club while belting out impressive vocals. The infectious beats and impeccable choreography continued through “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “Bad Blood.”

Finally, the moment many fans were anxiously awaiting was at their fingertips. Swift, dressed in a flowing yellow dress, grabbed her acoustic guitar for the first surprise song of the night. The singer has a tradition of playing surprise songs at each of her shows, unique from the ones before them. Little did fans know, Swift would be breaking one of her own “rules” for this show.

The first song was a stripped-back version of the first track on 1989 , “Welcome to New York.” The choice was fitting for New York-adjacent MetLife Stadium. Swift then sat at her piano, anticipation building among fans eager for the reveal of the second surprise song. She shared that one of her rules allows her to repeat songs if she “messes it up” the first time. In this case, Swift said she wanted to perform a previously performed song in a higher key. She shared, “I wanna do it again because I love you…This crowd is really special,” noting that they always show up “113%.”

Screams echoed as Swift began playing “Clean,” the closing track on 1989. A sea of lights illuminated Swift, who serenaded the crowd with impassioned vocals. The serene performance drew to a close as Swift dove into the stage and “swam” away.

The Midnights Era

The night concluded with none other than Swift’s newest album, Midnights. She opened the final era of the tour with “Lavender Haze,” wearing a shimmering purple dress and enclosed in a ring of dreamy clouds. Playing seven tracks from the album, Swift continued with the mega-popular track “Anti-Hero” before transitioning into “Midnight Rain.” Swift emerged from a shell of umbrellas wearing her Eras midnight-blue bodysuit and matching crystal garter. The electropop beats vibrated through Metlife Stadium.

Swift followed with “Vigilante Shit,” sending fans into a frenzy with her alluring vocals and choreography. Her next track, “Bejeweled,” made “the whole place shimmer.” The crowd’s bracelets flashed vibrant colors to the beat of the music. Her 45-song set neared the end as Swift performed “Mastermind” before diving into “Karma.”

Last week, Swift released a deluxe version of Midnights , dubbed the Late Night Edition . The album includes a remix of “Karma” with Ice Spice. Fans in attendance at MetLife had first dibs at purchasing the album. So, it was only fitting that she brought out the New York rapper to close out the already extraordinary night.

Dancers dressed in the colors of each of Swift’s eras surround Swift and Ice Spice as they walked the stage. Fans cheered and took in the final moments of the show.

Our thoughts on the Eras Tour

The Eras Tour will undeniably go down in history, and it’s no surprise why. Swift intricately crafted every second of the fan experience during her live show. From stunning visuals to intricate choreography and unfathomable production, our attention was captivated from start to finish. The 3.5-hour performance is unparalleled and truly beyond our “wildest dreams.” The Eras experience goes beyond the music, as Swift’s die-hard fanbase came together at MetLife Stadium to share in the special experience.

With every live show and every release, Swift proves to be an unstoppable force in the music industry, blazing through any obstacles put in front of her. Recently, Swift announced Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the next chapter in her journey of reclaiming ownership of her music. Follow along with Swift’s journey here . If you can score tickets to see her phenomenal live show, we highly recommend it.

Swifties want to know how to get last-minute Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' tickets.

I Got Last-Minute Taylor Swift Eras Tour Tickets & You Can Too

Taylor, look what you made us do.

The great war is not just a Taylor Swift song, but what Swifties have been battling ever since tickets for the Eras Tour went on sale . However, you shouldn’t give up just yet. Instead of shaking it off, there are ways to get last-minute tour tickets. I should know, because I did it.

You’ve likely seen influencers who have been to multiple concerts while checking StubHub for resale tickets , and wondering how they are able to afford everything. With Swift recently kicking off the international leg of her tour , you have to factor in flights and hotel accommodations as well. Being a Swiftie is not cheap , but there are budget-friendly — and even free! — ways to get tickets. You just have to be willing to work for them.

Below, you’ll find all the methods to getting last-minute tickets to the Eras Tour — even some contests that will get you there for free and in style.

I Went The StubHub Route For My Eras Tour Tickets

This may be the more expensive route to secure last-minute Swift tickets, but it is the most accessible. If you’re banking prices going down, don’t! It used to be that you could refresh Ticketmaster or StubHub for resale tickets at a decent price a few hours before a show, but that’s not necessarily the case anymore. Now, you’ll see tickets with partial views and in the worst sections that are still overpriced after a concert has started.

I got last-minute tickets to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

It’s a gamble you may not be willing to play. Instead, set a price range for yourself that you’d be willing to spend on tickets. The week before your show, keep refreshing sites like StubHub, SeatGeek, and even Gametime for resale tickets that are in that range. I set a price I was willing to pay before taxes and fees, and finally found one ticket while randomly checking StubHub right before bed. It can happen at any time of the day, so you have to be ready for it.

If you see something you’re willing to buy, go for it. You don’t want to be wishing you would’ve, could’ve, should’ve bought them once they’re gone. Just be mindful that certain international dates have rules on resale tickets .

Cities with a “lead booker” policy in place means those tickets are non-transferable, and the person who bought them must be present at the gate.

Ticketmaster May Drop Extra Tickets Before The Show, Too

Ticketmaster may drop last-minute tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour for anyone looking in 2024.

Swifties have bad blood with Ticketmaster after they poorly handled the presale and canceled the general sale for The Eras Tour . During the U.S. leg of the tour, the company was also magically finding last-minute tickets to shows the week of and sometimes an hour after a show started . For anyone who doesn’t mind being glued to their computer and hitting the refresh button nonstop, you may want to keep checking Ticketmaster for spontaneous drops in 2024.

Some Swifties who were selected for verified fan presale have also reported that Ticketmaster has been sending out codes at least two weeks before each show as well for additional tickets. Just remember codes are tied to each Ticketmaster account , so if it wasn’t sent to you, you may not be able to use it.

Swifties on Twitter will let other fans know when Ticketmaster drops extra tickets, so it’s best to follow different accounts and turn on your notifications. One Twitter account that has been really great about keeping Swifties informed is Eras Tour Resell ( @ErasTourResell ).

You Can Find Fellow Swifties Selling Their Tickets At Face Value

Fans attending Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour know how to get last-minute tickets through Ticketmaster...

Eras Tour Resell has been doing the lord's work helping Swifties find tickets that aren’t a scam. Through their account, sellers can list extra tickets for The Eras Tour so that other Swifties can buy them instead of scalpers. They make sure to verify their listing, and encourage everyone to buy and sell their tickets for face value. While this is probably the cheapest way to buy last-minute Swift tickets, it is incredibly difficult.

Once a ticket is verified, Eras Tour Resell will tweet out all the information and who to DM to get it. Since their account has become so popular with nearly 231K followers, you have to be ready to jump on each post as soon as it goes up. That means you need to set Twitter notifications and have your phone on you at all times. Even if you are the first person to DM the seller, it’s not a guarantee they’ll pick you. The account also prioritizes tickets for shows that week, so if you’re looking for a concert next month, you probably won’t see it for awhile.

In addition to Swiftie resale accounts, look around Twitter, Craigslist, or even put a call out on your socials for tickets from other fans. Content creator and Swiftie Francis Dominic ( @francisdominiic ) has been to at least 12 shows already. When asked by one of his followers how he’s able to go to so many, he responded, “Ticketmaster, OfferUp, Twitter, Craigslist, and IG. I exhaust all of my resources.” The only downside to random resellers is you don’t have Eras Tour Resell to verify you’re not getting ripped off.

Lucky Ones Can Enter A Contest For Eras Tour Tickets

A Swiftie got last-minute Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets through a radio contest.

The cheapest way to snag last-minute Swift tickets is to win a contest. You’ve probably seen quite a few social media contests where you have to like, follow, and comment on an IG post in order to win tickets. While you may think the odds aren’t in your favor, there is still a chance.

Anna Tegarden ( @taylormermaidcat ) won tickets to one of Swift’s shows in Tampa, which is how she was able to see all three nights of the Eras Tour in Florida. Tegarden shares with Elite Daily, “I’m constantly entering contests and trying to win tickets. I’ll read the fine print to see if it’s an enter daily contest, or just a one-time entry.” She won her tickets through a radio contest where she had to call into a station after hearing two Swift songs in a row.

Swifties have to work to find last-minutes Eras Tour tickets to see Taylor Swift in 2024.

With all these methods, finding a ticket to the Eras Tour is like a part-time job. You have to be willing to work hard, keep your phone with you at all times, and always be on the lookout. If you really want to scream-sing the bridge to “Cruel Summer,” admire Swift twirling in her folklore dress, and be there as she plays your fave song during the surprise acoustic set , let the ticket games begin.

However, the "Is It Over Now?" singer still managed to make history as the first person to reach billionaire status "based solely on songwriting and performing," according to Forbes .

Swift had a lucrative 2023, thanks in large part to her record-breaking  Eras Tour , which became the first tour in history to earn more than $1 billion. The global trek,  which kicked off in March 2023 , took in an estimated ticket gross of $1.04 billion last year from 4.35 million tickets sold, according to  music industry trade publication Pollstar .

TikTok artist replicates 21 Eras Tour stadiums where Taylor Swift has performed

win eras tour tickets metlife

SAVANNAH, Georgia — Dana Theobald sings Taylor Swift music while meticulously placing hundreds of lavender and purple rhinestones on a wooden frame engraved with “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour.”

The TikTok sensation created a model version of Singapore's National Stadium, which Swift sold out for six nights.

Lyrics from “Long Live” shine in cursive letters along the rim. One of the lines, “Remember this feeling,” is in the center. It's a sentiment Theobald reminds herself of frequently.

“I’m learning how to be present in the moment and not stress over being perfect,” the 30-year-old says. “I’m just trying to have fun. The concerts are an escape for a lot of people. For some of us, it’s one of the best nights of our lives.”

The paint and glue will take hours to dry. Theobald will set up her camera, remove the masking tape and unveil her 21st finished wooden replica of an Eras Tour stadium to the TikTok world she’s taken by storm.

“Before I was making the Eras pieces, I was making sports stadiums,” she says. Her smile shines between each sentence, and she giggles when talking about two of her passions. “I love sports, and I’m also a very big Taylor Swift fan.”

The artist grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, and went to Boston University to play basketball before transferring to Savannah College of Art and Design. She fell in love with building models, woodworking and studying interior design and architecture. During the pandemic, she invested in herself and bought a laser printer.

“I started building wooden maps of cities,” she says.

Her work table is replete with dents, paint splatters and polish drippings. Organized along the back wall are jars of rhinestones, cans holding paint brushes and shelves holding 100 paint bottles.

“In 2020, my best friend asked me if I could make a Kansas City stadium for her husband and I said I would try,” she says. "It kind of just took off from there.”

Although she has completed many wooden replicas of college and professional stadiums, rugby fields and soccer pitches, she brought her craft into a whole new era — by happenstance — in 2023.

“With the Eras Tour coming to Gillette Stadium this weekend, I decided to make an art piece to pay off my pricey ticket,” she posted on TikTok . The video showed her constructing a replica of the Foxborough, Massachusetts, venue to Swift’s opening number. More than 6 million have seen it.

Mission accomplished. A fan in Boston bought the piece, and yes, it paid for her seat. Theobald and her mom watched Swift in the pouring rain.

Commenters asked her to do the tour’s next stop: MetLife Stadium … and then Soldier Field … and then Ford Field .

Twenty-one stadiums later, she is determined to replicate every sold-out venue and has the process down to a science. She starts with images from Google Earth and traces rows of seats over the complex images. The drawings take a couple of days. From there, she cuts the pieces on her laser printer and stains each panel before grabbing the wood glue and constructing a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

The videos are mesmerizing, and viewers can see how incredibly patient — like insanely patient — Theobald is with her creations.

“The planning takes the most mental power,” she says. “The building part is less time consuming, although I have to wait for everything to dry.”

Each frame is painted in the era or aesthetic that the crafter thinks best represents the country or city. She customized Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Chiefs colors and added the engraving, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” as a shoutout to Swift’s lyric change for boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“I like following the tour and seeing how different cultures come together and celebrate their love for Taylor Swift,” Theobald says. She only creates one piece per stop. Interested buyers can email her for prices. There are two still available: Estadio Mâs Monumental in Argentina and Soldier Field in Chicago.

Swift heads to Paris on May 9 and will perform her record-shattering tour in 23 stadiums. But the number of stadiums left doesn’t stress Theobald out.

“I try not to get overwhelmed with how much there is because at the end of the day, this is supposed to be fun and it brings me so much joy,” she says.
