Since emerging in 2009, YG has projected the voice of the streets into the mainstream and ultimately left his mark as a rapper, actor, entrepreneur, designer, and philanthropist. The Compton native has surpassed 10 billion global streams, over a dozen multi-platinum, platinum and gold certifications, and countless honors. He’s the rare maverick who can stand arm-in-arm with protestors one day, appear on-screen next to an Academy® Award winner the next day, and preside over a fashion runway on another day. He has landed four consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200. Among numerous anthems with social implications, Billboard christened 2016’s politically charged “FDT (F*** Donald Trump)” featuring Nipsey Hussle, one of the “Songs That Defined the Decade.”  In 2020, YG fought back again with the anti-racist “FTP,” of which Variety claimed, “If there’s a music video that captures the Black Lives Matter demonstrations of June 2020, it’s YG’s ‘FTP’.”  He joined the reunited Public Enemy and an all-star cast of collaborators for a show-stopping performance of “Fight The Power” at the BET Awards in 2020. “FTP” was one of five breakout single + video releases in 2020-2021 from YG’s critically acclaimed fifth studio album, My Life 4Hunnid (October 2020) which also included “Laugh Now, Kry Later!”; “SWAG,” “Equinox” featuring Day Sulan, and “Out On Bail.”

In October 2022, YG released his sixth studio album, I GOT ISSUES via Def Jam Recordings. The highly anticipated new album includes features from hip-hop heavyweights such as J. Cole, Post Malone, Nas, Roddy Rich and more. I GOT ISSUES is YG’s first studio album since My Life 4Hunnid (October 2020).  The album debuted at the top of the Rap Albums charts and top 5 on the Billboard 200 albums.

Simultaneously, YG remains a pillar of the community. He donated $100,000 worth of food from his restaurant Fishbone Seafood in honor of Juneteenth. Additionally, he founded the nonprofit 4Hundred Waze. Among various initiatives, the nonprofit provided $10,000 in PPE to Los Angeles families hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic residing in Emergency Crisis Housing. Plus, he built a platform for buzzing artists such as Day Sulan with his 4HUNNID label in partnership with Epic Records. The 4HUNNID brand also comprises a clothing line of the same name owned by YG. Infiltrating high fashion and occupying space in retailers such as Zumiez, and more, the line amplifies his impact. Not to mention, the accomplished actor graced the big screen in White Boy Rick with Academy® Award winner Matthew McConaughey.

Live reviews

Well I have to say the concert was amazing other than I was so short I couldn't see anything... I am very dissatisfied with the services

And everything. I feel like I was ripped off for

My money.. I paid $129 for a meet and greet with

YG it was supposed to include

meet and greet with YG

The only thing I got was a picture taken with my

Cell phone so it's blurry.

I got a hat and a foam finger. These are products

That were being sold at the concert that I had purchased before

The concert! If I would have known that I was only

Getting a rushed picture and a hat with a foam finger

I wouldn't have purchased the up grade.

Also I received an email Oct 20 with further details

Regarding the meet and greet told me to be at doors

An hour before doors open. Doors were supposed to open at

8pm so we were there about 6:50pm. Says the meet and greet

Will finish before doors open to the public in order to make sure you

Have time to get the best viewing spot for the show

And we didn't get entry until everyone else did around 8:30-9pm

And the email states a link to photos from the night

Will be sent to your email 24-48 hours after the show

They had no camera so I got a blurry one taken with my phone

I was kinda bummed cause I didn't have a good view and am a short person so couldn't see concert to well with all the tall people and me being short!

So I figured it's ok I have meet and greet that will make up for me not

Being able to see him well... no that was crap to got

Rushed in for a blurry picture a foam finger and hat that I had already purchased and rushed

Out.. so do I get a refund as I didn't get what I paid $129

For. If I want a blurry picture I could have paid $50 for the photo with meet and greet

And saved $100

I guess if you want a good spot you would have to by balcony tickets!

There's a restless anticipation in the air. With The Academy nearly bursting at the seams with ardent hip hop fans and eager rap newcomers alike, the atmosphere has an eerie calm before the storm feel to it. Everyone is excited, but they're all too cool to show it. The lights go down, the cheers go up - but maybe a little prematurely as first up is Fat Pimp, tasked with warming up the crowd for the main event. He runs through a setlist of lesser-known rap tunes, and the crowd returns the favour by largely using the time to get drinks and visit the restroom. With Fat Pimp's exit, the buzz returns. Obligatory rap air horns announce the arrival of tonight's idol, Keenon Jackson, aka YG. This time, the cheers aren't out of politeness, but out of genuine thrill as YG bursts straight into "I Just Wanna Party." With the crowd already swaying, YG doesn't hesitate to shout his commands: "Put your m*****f****** hands in the air!" to which those loyal fans dutifully react in compliance. The initial rush dies down mid-way, with YG's ensemble scattered about the stage like kids at a party on too much sugar. There's a gold Chopper on stage too, which YG perches on while churning out "Who Do You Love?" It's a rhetorical question, but he knows that this crowd loves him. As the show draws to a close, the audience leaves just as excited as when they'd arrived. Since his debut "My Krazy Life" set him as a force to be reckoned with, tonight, YG reinforced his status as a hip hop mainstay. His life performance mixes rap cliches (a bit of violence, anyone?) with heartfelt devotionals like "Sorry Momma" to keep everyone on their toes. It's frantic, it's frenetic, but it's hip hop so what did you expect?

That YG concert was freaking lit!!! This was one of the best concerts I've been to this year!!! I was real excited to meet and greet YG but I wish I'd could of talk to him more instead of a quick photo with him. Besides that, all the preformers killed it especially Sadboy Loko. I had a real awesome view all the way in front row so I had no problem not seeing the preformers. I was real excited to be back at the Fox Theater in Oakland one year later. If anyone wants to go to a concert to turn up and party and have the preformer teach you real shit, I suggest you go see YG. You won't regret it!!

YG is so dope. The venue and the crowd, not so much. For an all age event I didn't realize there would be clouds of weed in the air but it's a YG Concert am I right. But still, people with asthmatic lungs as myself wasn't able to enjoy the show as the other intoxicated guest. Pushing and a shoving was to be expected at a general admission but ass cheek to ass cheek was not to be expected. No sense of crowd control or security really. The venue really does it all but YG was lit.

kaitlyn-bui’s profile image

Quite frankly a c**t - we bought tickets and booked a hotel for the night as we don't like that close only to have the show postponed with no word of why or when the show will happen (has been about a month now) and yg decided on that day it was more important to go and watch some American football! So overall, we were just f**ked over and he can do one

owainwilson99’s profile image

The show was amazing YG was really awesome he put on a great show only thing is Redbull really confused people with saying it was general admission yet inside the separated people with orange bands and no bands there was upper balcony and had no bad and then there was the bottom I would have a bad even though everyone paid the same price

jeny-cabrera’s profile image

The concert was lit! I got VIP so I got to meet YG and eveything, I also got on stage with him to beat up the Donald Trump piñata! I wish he played more of his older songs from his mixtapes because he has a ton of Cali fans that go to school in Flagstaff, Arizona. But it was an incredibly memorable night.

tonyenag’s profile image

The show was awesome but my meet and greet sucked I payed 129$ for the upgrade meet and greet was supposed to get a picture a hat a lighter a bandanna and a some thing else I got a 30$ hat and a 10$ foam finger was not worth paying that much when the normal meet and greet with picture was only

Best night!!! Every performer was dope and had great energy. I finally met YG!!!!! So happy. Even though I was told to arrive early for meet and greet, I didn't get to meet him until after the show but I'm still grateful. Great tour, I hope he comes back to the dmv soon!

The audition is open to youths residing in Korea, regardless of gender or nationality, born between 2006 and 2013. The four categories for application are singing, rapping, dancing, and visual. Detailed information about the audition can be found on the YG Audition website and social media. Meanwhile, YG celebrated its 27th anniversary this year, having produced notable acts such as Big Bang, BLACKPINK, and more.

Netizens have been surprised by this sudden audition announcement since YG Entertainment launched a new girl group, BABYMONSTER,  that debuted with " BATTER UP " last month.

They commented , " I thought this was BABYMONSTER's promotion schedule," "Are they not going to focus on BABYMONSTER?" "Didn't YG do a survival program before and didn't debut the group?" "Release the schedule for BABYMONSTER before anything," "Please take care of BABYMONSTER first," "Why are they doing a new audition?" "I thought YG was going to focus on BABYMONSTER?" "?" "What?" "Bring back Ahyeon,"  and " They're looking for more trainees? What about the group that just debuted?"

Wow. YG really did Babymonster dirty, releasing a video that blatantly positioned them as a 1:1 replacement for Blackpink, only to turn around, toss them in the dungeon and announce a new round of auditions for a new Blackpink replacement.

Looking to create a new group so soon? I've never seen a company abandon a group as fast as YG does. Imagine finally accomplishing your dream and debuting just to be neglected...what a mess.

YG, Tyga, And Saweetie Are Heading ‘Str8 To The Club’ On Their North American Tour

Aaron Williams

Two of Compton’s finest are not only linking up for an album, but they’re also heading out on tour. Tyga and YG announced their joint album during Tyga’s performance at Rolling Loud LA earlier this year, and since then, there’s been a steady stream of hood-certified new singles, including “ Platinum ” and “ West Coast Weekend .”

Now, they’ve announced the routing for their Str8 To The Club Tour, on which they’ll be joined by YG’s rumored boo , Saweetie. Sounds like a winning lineup. And look, I can’t speak for the venues outside of California, but they’ve clearly dodged the “why are artists canceling tours” conversation with this routing. Leave it to Compton to know where the money resides. I don’t know about the club, but clearly, the California Hispanic community still messes with Tyga despite his “Ay Caramba” faux pas .

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, July 21 at 10 am local time at www.str8totheklub.com .

YG Cancels Australian Tour

According to organizers from the Listen Out 2014 music festival, YG has cancelled all of his Australian tour dates which means he will not be attending this year's Listen Out. The Compton rapper was expected to hit the stage alongside Schoolboy Q and popular Australian acts like Flume and Chet Faker.

“Unfortunately YG has cancelled his Australian tour, so he won’t be appearing at Listen Out,” reads an official statement by Listen Out Organizers on their Facebook page. “In better lineup news, [two] more touring acts and a host of others will be announced over the next [two] weeks.”

YG Announces Triple One As Support For Australian Tour

YG has revealed that Sydney motley crew Triple One will be the national support for his Australian tour which will hit our shores in two short weeks.

Continuing their whirlwind year, sharing the stage with YG will be among the many highlights. Their breakout hit ‘Tarlo’ brought their vicious and volatile raps to the masses with an add-on triple j, leading the way for singles ‘Valentine Kid’ and ‘Showoff’ to follow. The crew boast over 600,000 monthly Spotify listeners and were crowned triple j unearthed’s Feature Artist of the Week in June.

YG will be joining us to launch his most recent, third studio album ‘STAY DANGEROUS’ released in August and features guest appearances from A$AP Rocky, Nicky Minaj, Ty Dolla Sign and more. The full length debuted at #5 on the US Billboard 200 – his third top ten in the US – with single ‘Big Bank’ going Platinum. In Australia, it debuted at #15 on the ARIA Album Charts.

The tour will coincide with his slot at Spilt Milk in Canberra which has sold out, making the national tour the only place to catch YG.

YG’s debut album ‘My Krazy Life’ dropped in 2014 with features from Drake and Schoolboy Q amongst its guests, sending the 14-tracker to number two on the album charts. His follow up ‘Still Brazy’ took a more political route, the viral, anti-Donald Trump single ‘FDT’ became an anthem during the presidential election in 2016. YG also entered the ARIA Top 20 charts in 2016 with Jeremih, featuring on his international knockout hit ‘Don’t Tell Em’.

Over his time in the music industry, YG’s collaborated with the best including Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent solidifying his heavyweight status.

YG heads back to Australia after his debut 2015 co-headline tour with long-time collaborator Ty Dolla $ign. His follow up 2017 tour sold-out in record time and forced a reschedule to accommodate all his die-hard fans. He then returned to the US to support Kendrick Lamar on the 15-date D.A.M.N tour, ensuring his incredible high energy live show is certified by the best.

Get ready to party this November as YG and triple One storm through the nation.

How YouTube stars Brett and Eddy of TwoSet Violin brought comedy to classical music

It's not as though Brett Yang and Eddy Chen planned to turn their act, TwoSet Violin, into a global disruptor of classical music.

They barely had a plan at all.

But when they threw in their coveted jobs as violinists with two of Australia's leading orchestras in late 2016, they knew they wanted to do classical music differently.

"I feel like our mission is very much, 'how can we bring more people into the world of classical music?'," Chen, 30, tells Australian Story.

"How can we show this amazing and beautiful art form in a more fun, relaxed, entertaining way?"

Brett and Eddy wearing suits, looking serious, smoke behind them, holding violins.

They brought levity, combining their highly trained, enviable skills as violinists with comedy to create a show unparalleled in classical music.

A tiny Eddy Chen wearing denim overalls with an embroidered violin, hands on hips.

They cracked jokes about the pain and pleasure of interminable practice. They hula-hooped while playing the works of 18th-century virtuoso Niccolo Paganini.

They popped on a wig and mimicked, badly, the accents of some of the great composers and violinists.

They poked fun at the esoteric rules of classical music — not to bring it down but to demystify it.

They'd started out by making YouTube videos about 10 years ago, and at first, it was just those in the know who followed them: musicians, students and devotees who welcomed a bit of light relief in a world with a reputation for being stuffy.

Then came those who once played an instrument but gave it up because it was too hard, too boring.

Brett and Eddy sitting at a table in front of a laptop and microphone.

Now, many of their millions of fans are novices, complete classical music newbies who love to watch the joy and merriment that TwoSet brings. No longer do they look out at a sea of grey hair – their fanbase covers all age groups.

They're spreading the joy on their second world tour now, bringing their musical prowess, comedy and goofy laughter to some of the world's great concert halls, such as the venerable Lincoln Center in New York.

"If you asked me 10 years ago [if] this would happen I would not have believed it," says Yang. "And I'm just going to cherish the moment. Enjoy it."

They've been named the "greatest string-based content creators of our time" by the London Symphony Orchestra, enjoy the friendship and support of one of the world's best violin soloists, Hilary Hahn, and have 7.5 million subscribers across social media platforms.

Their reach is so wide, it sometimes causes internet skirmishes: a parody video rebuking the K-pop sensation, Blackpink, for using a token sample of Paganini's work in one of its hip-hop hits had K-pop fans baying for their blood.

The pair first met when Yang was 14 and Chen 13. It was, they joke, "the most Asian possible way" to meet – at maths tutoring on a Friday night.

A young Brett and Eddy playing violin.

Both were Taiwanese-born and had lived in New Zealand before migrating to Brisbane in their pre-teens. Both carried the hopes of their parents that they would pursue strong and stable careers.

The day after meeting at maths tutoring, they turned up for their first day with the Queensland Youth Symphony. The keen, starry-eyed violinists were among the youngest in the intake.

Chen recalls looking around at the older musicians, feeling shy and nervous, when he heard a voice call: "'Hey, it's you from maths tutoring.' I look up," says Chen, "and it was Brett".

The adventure had begun.

Quitting orchestra jobs

If not for an adjudicator's "trivial" comment about Chen's performance, TwoSet might never have become a global crowd-puller.

Both had achieved great success after completing their music degrees at the Queensland Conservatorium: Yang joining the string section of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Chen, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

Brett Yang playing violin, close up of face, violin blurred in foreground.

Keen to test his skills, Chen entered the prestigious Kendall National Violin Competition in 2016, making the semifinals. He played well, although not perfectly, and didn't make the finals.

He was okay with that. What made him bristle was an adjudicator's feedback: not enough eye contact with the pianist.

"How fickle," he recalls thinking.

"Our future career opportunities were decided by some person that on a whim, came up with, 'oh, you didn't look at the pianist enough' … something about that just really bothered me."

His indignation turned into action that would be the turning point of their careers. The duo had been toying with bringing their YouTube act to the stage and now, the procrastination was over.

Chen booked a recital hall – TwoSet would unleash its mix of music and comedy to a live audience for the first time.

Now he just had to tell Yang. And they had to come up with a show.

"I don't recommend doing this at all," says Chen, smiling. "It's kind of very stressful. But when we're young, that's how we like to operate. Just jump in head first and find out what happens."

They wrote and rewrote, battling to find a way to mesh their comedic YouTube work with serious recital. One week out, they performed it for some friends. No-one laughed.

Says Yang, 31: "I just thought, 'Oh crap. This is bad'."

They threw out at least 60 per cent of it, rewrote, and then, buzzing with nerves, walked on stage at the Queensland Conservatorium. "The audience cheered so loudly," Yang recalls. "We've never felt that energy in any classical music."

Brett and Eddy playing backed by a pianist, in front of a live audience.

They wanted more. They booked the Sydney Opera House's Utzon Room. Same response. Applause, cheering, laughter.

It lit a fire. They enjoyed their work in orchestras, the transcendent feeling when every musician, every instrument, is working together to create beautiful music. But this was something new, their own creation, and they wanted to see what it could be.

They quit their jobs.

It was not what Chen's mother wanted to hear, but, he says, she knew he was a bit of a rebel – she'd dreamed of her bright boy studying medicine but he'd pursued the violin.

His sister, Belle Chen, a talented pianist and composer based in London, wasn't surprised, though.

"I feel like my brother is of such a character that if he wanted to do something, he would make it happen," she says.

Yang's parents weren't overly keen, either, asking all the questions about stability and money, but they backed his dream.

And the duo dreamed big — they were going to take their concert to the world.

A newspaper article with the headline Violin duo's Singapore concert sold out within minutes, printed on canvas.

Just how to do that was a mystery. The normal route is to find an agency to sign up a musician for tours and deal with the funding and organising.

But, says Yang, "we didn't really fit the bill in any agency, they wouldn't know how to present us. Are they going to play Bach, or are they going to do stand-up comedy?"

The YouTubers seized on another 21st-century phenomenon – crowdfunding.

They decided to entice fans to open their wallets by doing a busking marathon in Sydney.

They played on the streets all day, live streaming on Facebook, and slept rough at night, enduring rain, mosquitoes and the fear of being mugged. Their bodies ached, not just from sleeping on benches but from playing violin non-stop.

Children watch Eddy Chen and Brett Yang play violin.

The fans loved it. "They brought us food," says Yang. "They brought us bubble tea. A lot of fans brought their own instruments to play with us."

And they donated. By the fifth day, when Chen and Yang were almost spent, they clocked their target of $50,000.

They soon realised that was nowhere near enough money to tour the world, performing at cities throughout the US, Europe and Asia.

But they set off, with enough money for the first handful of concerts and the hope they would raise enough in ticket sales to make it to the next venue. On top of that logistical nightmare, they had to keep making videos on the road to keep fans hooked.

Brett and Eddy busking in a mall, TwoSet Violin crowdfunded sign next to them.

It worked. The tour was a resounding success. Yang fondly remembers walking onto the stage in New York.

"The cheering and applause was so, so loud," he says. "It went for a good five minutes, non-stop. There was so much energy."

Their London concert was special, too: Chen's sister Belle accompanied them on the piano.

TwoSet Violin had successfully created the first crowdfunded classical music world tour. Not only that, the tour enabled them to meet and become friends with one of their idols, US violin virtuoso, Hilary Hahn.

Praise from virtuoso Hilary Hahn

Hahn wants to make one thing clear: Chen and Yang are very good violinists.

All the wackiness and parody and silly giggles belie their skills as violinists, their deep affinity with the instrument, impressive repertoire and understanding of classical music history.

"You can't use humour about a very specific craft," she says, "unless you know everything about it. It just wouldn't work."

That's some compliment coming from Hahn, a child prodigy who made her debut with a major orchestra at 12, worked with the New York Philharmonic from 14 and finished a university music degree at 16. The three-time Grammy Award winner knows good violinists.

"[Their] content is so thoughtful and astute without being preachy," says Hahn. "I really do credit them with bringing a lot of people to classical music in a very genuine way."

Brett, Eddy and Hilary standing together smiling.

TwoSet concerts take the audience on a musical journey, exploring the pitfalls and highs of classical music through comedic routines – often with a cameo from a long-dead composer — coupled with the duo showing off their violin skills. Sometimes blindfolded.

Hahn, like so many others, discovered TwoSet on YouTube.

She laughed, but was also impressed by the layering of their work: a devoted musician could get the in-jokes, the subtle allusions, but there was such warmth and wit about them, their skits appealed to friends with little music knowledge.

Hahn commented on one of their posts, TwoSet saw it and went nuts, and a meeting in the US was arranged. Next thing, Hahn was on YouTube with them, hula-hooping while playing violin in one of their signature skits, the Ling Ling Workout.

Ling Ling is a parody of the child prodigy, the perfect violinist who became part of TwoSet's schtick when Eddy, mimicking a strict, Asian "Tiger Mum" boasted, "Ling Ling practices 40 hours a day". It went viral, striking a chord with those who loved music but felt they could never measure up.

Chen and Yang knew that feeling well. As teenagers, both dreamed of reaching the lofty heights of being a soloist, a rare thing, especially in Australia. Their strings professor at the conservatorium, Michele Walsh, says they were extremely dedicated, serious students.

But as time at university rolled on, both started to understand they might not make the cut.

That was particularly hard on Chen. Having disappointed his beloved mother by not becoming a doctor, he carried heavily the slow realisation that the pinnacle of his chosen field was unattainable.

He began to suffer pain in one arm. Then the other. Soon, his legs were affected and he was in a wheelchair. For nine months, he couldn't play.

Eventually, he found a neurologist who explained to him that the pain wasn't physical but psychosomatic.

He just had to push through the pain that his brain was causing him to feel. Three days later, he was jumping up and down outside Walsh's lecture hall.

Eddy Chen close up playing violin, black and white.

Chen believes his illness can be partly explained by the "mental dissonance" of straddling two cultures with different belief systems. "I didn't know how to resolve them," he says.

It was a challenging time but, he says, going through that struggle helped him build a healthier relationship with music.

"The high expectation of perfection in classical music can make some people eventually lose passion … or become increasingly obsessed … and then you reach a point where you burn out," he says.

"For me, it's realising that if it's not for you, there are other ways."

Hahn argues that's a big element of the appeal of TwoSet, the way it celebrates classical music, making an audience feel its magic, without getting hung up on perfectionism.

"You don't have to be the greatest violinist in the world," she says. "You just have to have something you want to say in the music and navigate to a place where you can get it expressed."

Brett Yang smiling and Eddy Chen sitting together.

TwoSet is taking their way of expressing their love for classical music, their "relatable imperfection", to the world again, only this time with a little more help behind them.

No more busking, no more sleeping on park benches. They're a success, with a team supporting them in their new base in Singapore, their own line of apparel and millions of followers, young and old.

Once they dreamed of being soloists. Together, they're pursuing a bigger dream: to help classical music not just live on, but thrive, for generations to come.

Rapper YG Granted Entry Into Australia for Tour After Initially Being Denied Due to Robbery Case

By TheBlast Staff on November 16, 2018 at 2:58 AM EST

YG was almost denied entry into Australia for a set of concerts this weekend after the government wanted a judge to confirm the rapper was legally allowed to travel because of his pending robbery case.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper explains there are no travel restrictions imposed by his bail bonder or the court. He says he is "an international entertainer and is required to travel outside the United States for a scheduled performance in Australia.”

The rapper is set to begin a string of shows in Australia and New Zealand on November 16 and will perform five shows until the November 25. He will then head over to Europe to perform 11 concerts.

In the documents, YG said, “The Australian Government, Department of Home Affairs is requesting verification that Mr. Jackson does not have any travel restrictions imposed on him as a result of the above-entitled case.”

Prosecutors did not object to YG’s request for a court order and the judge agreed by signing off on the international travel.

YG

Back in September, a grand jury indicted YG (real name: Keenon Jackson) and hit him with two additional felony charges over the May 2018 incident.

YG was originally facing only one charge of felony robbery but following the grand jury, the rapper is now facing three felonies, including grand larceny and larceny from a person.

The grand larceny and robbery charges carry a maximum punishment of 10 years each.

In July, the rapper was arrested and booked after turning himself into Vegas cops. A warrant had been issued for his arrest after he was officially charged with felony robbery. The rapper posted $20,000 bail and was released from custody.

The alleged victim, Benjamin Naderi, sued YG and The Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas over the incident.

Naderi claimed he saw the “Big Bank” rapper at the Cosmopolitan and when he went up to ask for a photo, YG refused and started to get upset with him. When he went to walk away, Naderi claims he heard the rapper tell his entourage to “get him.”

He claims YG’s crew then surrounded him and held him down and repeatedly punched him. Naderi then claimed YG walked up and yanked off his gold chain and diamond pendant.

He accused the men of then fleeing the scene before anyone responded.

Naderi sued YG for assault, battery and theft and the Cosmo for not providing adequate security at the hotel. The lawsuit is seeking in excess of $250,000 in damages.
