Our aim is for to you experience how a LIVE concert would have felt all those years ago, bringing you the best in vocals, musicianship and musical arrangments.This show has been running since 1999 and is the longest running ABBA Tribute Concert in the World.

We have worked meticulously to try to bring you the most accurate and authentic LIVE ABBA Concert possible. We wanted to capture the true essence, energy and excitment of what it would have been like to have experienced this truly wonderful band LIVE in concert

Dance Floor

Get closer to the action with our Dance Floor tickets. These tickets are for standing (or dancing) only, so you’ll be closer to the stage than anyone else and free to dance anywhere within the area.

Auditorium Seating

Choose from a wide variety of seats at a range of different prices. Pricing is based on the location of the seats, but in our purpose-built arena every seat is a good one. As with most concerts, please be aware that people around you may stand up and dance.

Dance Booths

We have eight Dance Booths in total, four for up to 10 people and four for up to 12 people. Each booth is named after people from the ABBA universe. These are flexible spaces, so you can book an individual ticket, or book one or more whole booths for your party. Each booth has seating, plus your very own dance floor.

Accessible Seats

The ABBA Arena has plenty of wheelchair spaces, ambulant seats and seats suitable for a wheelchair user to transfer into. All of these seats and spaces must be booked in advance and are clearly marked on our seating plan.

Wheelchair access is from the Killermont Street entrance (North Entrance) only. From this entrance, there is Lift access to all levels.

Full table service is not available, food or drinks are ordered from the service counter. However, food and drinks can be brought to the table. 

There is not a lowered section at the counter.

No tables are permanently fixed. No chairs are permanently fixed. Some chairs have armrests.

Menus are hand held and wall mounted. Menus are not available in Braille. Menus are not available in large print. Picture menus are not available.

At times, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.

Yes, there is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.

Sky News presenter relives time performing with ABBA ahead of documentary

It was 1979. I was 10 years old and gripped in the ABBA mania that was sweeping the country.

I had a dream, but little did I know that it would be turned into reality, as I not only got to meet my heroes but sing with them on stage at Wembley as well.

To honour UNICEF's year of the child ABBA were on the hunt for children's choirs to perform with them.

I remember television presenters Keith Chegwin and Maggie Philbin coming to my school, Wembley Manor, and interviewing us. While I can't recall all the details I do remember being sworn to secrecy.

We were only told days before, and I think we only practised once or twice.

Our very strict choir mistress Mrs Spiers thought she had won the lottery. We weren't the best school choir but she was determined that we grabbed the opportunity with both hands and didn't bring shame on the school.

Our first proper, full dress rehearsal was on the afternoon of our first performance. After arriving at the arena we were taken to a green room where we were briefed as to what would happen when we went out on stage.

We were told to smile and not be intimidated by the bright lights or the roar of the crowd.

The excitement was through the roof. I couldn't believe that I was about to meet the Swedish sensation that was ABBA.

As we walked out on stage I felt I was in a dream. There they were all sparkling and perfect. We walked to our positions, they greeted us and we proceeded to practise the song.

As I sang I Have A Dream - it was almost like an out-of-body moment. Was I really on stage with ABBA?

We wrapped up the rehearsal so that we would have some time to rest before the evening performance and on the way out the most remarkable event occurred.

As we were leaving, Agnetha kissed me on my right cheek. Fireworks exploded and trumpets sounded, in my head at least, and I promised never to wash my face again.

I have since relented on that oath.

So for three nights I performed at Wembley Stadium to a jam packed arena. We were allocated family tickets and my sisters and mum came along to see us perform and enjoy the concert.

Each night was as thrilling as the first. I remember buying an electric blue ABBA poster which adorned my bedroom wall for many years. I still get sad as I have no idea what happened to it.

Anyone who knows me knows that performing with ABBA is my true claim to fame. I mention it at the drop of a hat and have bored many a colleague with tales of my childhood stardom.

I have even mentioned it in Sky broadcasts, that's how the documentary makers for the BBC's When ABBA Came To Britain found me.

It may have been 45 years ago, but Mamma Mia, ABBA still have my heart.

Iconic band announce comeback tour more than 20 years after earworm hit single

Get your raving shoes on – Scooter are back with a massive comeback tour hitting venues across the UK.

The German techno band – made up of H. P. Baxxter, Marc Blou, Jay Frog, and Jens Thele – are embarking on their 30th-anniversary tour later this year with shows in London , Manchester , Birmingham , Newcastle, Dublin, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Cardiff.

It comes more than 20 years after the release of their smash hit single The Logical Song, originally by Supertramp, which reached number 2 in the UK Singles Charts.

Tickets for the shows go on pre-sale on Wednesday, April 10, at 10am, followed by general sale on Friday, April 12 also at 10am.

The tour coincides with the release of the band’s milestone 21st studio album Open Your Mind and Your Trousers, including singles Rechno is Back, Rave & Shout, Waste Your Youth, and For Those About To Rave.

Scooter kicked off the mammoth tour in Germany last month, with it continuing through Europe until the group arrive on UK shores in October and November.

The four-piece formed in 1993 and has sold a whopping 30 million records to date, earning more than 80 gold and platinum music awards/

They have landed 23 top ten hits, and are considered the most commercially successful German single-record act.

Scooter have produced several well-known singles across the world, including Hyper Hyper, How Much Is the Fish?, Maria, Jumping Over The World, and The Question Is What Is the Question?.

They released The Logical Song in 2001, which became the band’s highest-charting single of their career and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

It was the 15th best-selling single of 2002 and was one of the anthems synonymous with rave culture in the 2000s.

Scooter’s music – especially their wacky lyrics that have experienced plenty of praise on TikTok – as well as their wild outfits, Baxxter’s luminous bleach blonde hair, and pyrotechnic-filled performances have seen them become household names across the globe.

Speaking to City Magazine in 2019, vocalist Baxxter reflected on the impact Scooter have had on the electronic music industry.

‘I’ve always loved bands with strong stage presence. When I was a teenager listening to hard rock, I loved Deep Purple’s Ritchie Blackmore, who destroyed his guitar at every concert.

‘Even then, I knew it was a staged part of the show, but that didn’t diminish the excitement I felt when he smashed it. When I think about the pyrotechnics we used on the first tours, compared to today’s explosive shows, I just smile.’

Speaking about their legendary live shows, he continued: ‘At one point we were spending more on pyrotechnics than we could make in tickets, but we could afford it because the shows were selling massive amounts of records.

Abba settle lawsuit with ‘parasitic’ tribute band Abba Mania

Swedish pop group, who begin a live concert event in May, had described British band as ‘bad faith’

Abba have reached a settlement with a tribute band they described in a lawsuit as “parasitic and bad faith”.

Lawyers for Abba filed the lawsuit in December, arguing that the British group Abba Mania could be confused with the original act. They said they had asked Abba Mania to change their name but the quartet had refused.

Terms of the settlement have not been disclosed, but one of Abba’s lawyers has claimed the tribute artists will stop using the Abba name. The Guardian has contacted Abba Mania for comment.

Abba Mania formed in 1999 and describe themselves as “the world’s most successful touring Abba show”. They are due to tour France in March and the UK in April, and have previously toured across Europe and the Americas.

Since Abba’s split in 1982, the Swedish quartet’s popularity has been buoyed by the success of the Abba Gold compilation and the musical Mamma Mia!, generating a substantial market for tribute shows, also including the likes of Björn Again.

The lawsuit was filed shortly after the announcement that Abba were themselves returning to the live stage – or, at least, a motion-captured digital version of the group. The concert experience Abba Voyage, featuring avatars of the group performing along with a live band at a custom-built arena in east London, begins in May.

Abba released their first album in 40 years in 2021, Voyage , which reached No 1 in the UK and saw the group nominated for Grammy and Brit awards.
