The interior of the mosque is more like a Hindu temple, with the main hall supported by numerous columns. Three pillars are placed over each other while the roof is supported on square bays. The columns have a unique design and are heavily decorated which leave the visitor enchanted.

Although the original pillars and the roof of the pre-Muslim structure were allowed to remain, many of the original carvings were defaced by the conquerors. Adhai din ka Jhopra serves as a perfect example of an intermingling of many religions and cultures, with the main gate having inscriptions in Sanskrit. You’ll certainly stand in awe!

3. Nasiyan Temple and Ana Sagar Lake

1. Dargah Sharif

Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the tomb of Moinuddin Chishti is ranked among one of the holiest places of worship in India, especially for Muslims. As it is the final resting place of the Gharib Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti, this dargah has been a pioneer in spreading the ethical and spiritual values of Islam amongst the masses.

Ajmer Sharif was built by the Mughals and stands as a testimony of the rich Mughal style of architecture. The Dargah comprises of tombs, courtyards and daalaans, and the major establishments constructed in this complex are Nizam Gate, Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Aulia Masjid, Dargah Shrine and Mehfil Khana.

The Dargah has been mostly made out of marble and gold plating, which is guarded by silver railings and a marble screen. Every year Urs is held for six days in the Dargah during the seventh month of the Islamic lunar calendar. The front door of the Dargah Sharif which is always closed at night is kept open all day during all the six days of Urs.

The shrine is especially crowded on these six days.

Must see \ Things to do: The two cauldrons in the inner courtyard of the shrine. These containers have a capacity of 2240 kg and 4480 kg and are used during special occasions to cook sweetmeats which are distributed among the devotees.

2. Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra

The next stop in our one day trip Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is a mosque built by Qutub-Ud-Din-Aibak, the first Sultan of Delhi in 1199. This 12th-century Indo-Islamic architectural site is believed to have been constructed in two and a half days and it is from there that the monument gets its name.

Complete with arched screens, ruined minarets and beautiful pillars, it is a truly important place to visit in this one day tour by private car.

3. Nasiyan Temple and Ana Sagar Lake

Dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara, Soniji Ki Nasiyan or Nasiyan Temple is a Jain temple which is also an important destination of pilgrimage. The Swarna Nagari or “City of Gold” has a number of gold-plated wooden figures depicting important figures of the Jain religion and is the main attraction of the temple. The magnificent architecture of the temple draws thousands of religious devotees and tourists alike.

Ana Sagar Lake is a glorious artificial lake that is thronged by visitors in the evenings to catch a glimpse of the sunset. This artificial lake was a brainchild of Anaji Tomar, who was the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan. In fact, the lake is named after the king Anaji himself.

The lake was founded during the 12th century after a dam was built across the nearby located river of Luni. The beautiful lake is surrounded by Daulat Bagh Gardens and the Khobra Behroon temple which we will also be taking you to, as part of the private tour by car.

The lake is only 13 kilometres away from Pushkar town There is also an island in the centre of the lake which is about 4.4 metres deep and spread over an area of 12 kilometres.

Most of these ghats have been named after the kings who built them with an exception of Brahma Ghat, which is named after Brahma, who is believed to have bathed here.

The Gau Ghat was renamed as Gandhi Ghat after Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes were immersed here. 6. Brahma Temple

Ajmer is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is famously known as the ‘city of saints’. Ajmer has many places of religious importance, including the Dargah Sharif, and Jain temples.

Pushkar is a town in Rajasthan that is best known for its annual camel fair. The Pushkar Lake has been used for religious ceremonies by Hindus for centuries. This place is the holiest of holy places in India, thus called TirthRaj Pushkar.

Jodhpur, also known as the sun city or blue city, was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 AD. This blue city is a must-visit for tourists coming on a Rajasthan Tour.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN AJMER – PUSHKAR

Pick up from Airport or Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. On arrival check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, after lunch, visit The Brahma Temple, dedicated to Lord Brahma (the architect of the Universe). Later visit Pushkar Lake, surrounded by beautiful ghats. The holy lake is an example of the Hindu faith. In the evening, visit Pushkar town. Overnight stay at Pushkar.

DAY 2 – PUSHKAR – AJMER – JODHPUR (200 KMS/4HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Ajmer visit The Ajmer Dargah, dedicated Sufi saint, Moinuddin Chishti Ajmer Sharif Dargah also Ajmer Dargah, Ajmer Sharif or Dargah Sharif is a Sufi tomb (dargah) of the revered Sufi saint, Moinuddin Chishti, located at Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. The shrine has Chishti’s grave. Later drive to Jodhpur check-in at the hotel. In the evening visit the local market and Ghanta Ghar area, also known as the clock tower, overnight stay in Jodhpur.

DAY 3 – JODHPUR – SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, the best attraction in Jodhpur that is impeccably maintained. After that, visit Jaswant Thada (the Cenotaph of Maharaja) got constructed by their queens. Later, visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum and have lunch in the afternoon. Spend the evening in the local market or at your leisure in the hotel. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Arrive Delhi to Jaipur - Local Sightseeing

Pick up from Rly Stn. / Airport. & drive to Jaipur transfer to hotel and check in. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal with photo stop & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.

Jaipur Local sightseeing

Morning visit Amber Fort with an Elephant ride( at extra cost subject to availability) till the main entrance of the fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. After photo stop at Jal Mahal, Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Evening free for shopping on own. Return to hotel for the overnight stay.

Jaipur to Enroute Ajmer via Pushkar

Morning drive to Pushkar and enroute after stopping at Ajmer and Dargah reach Pushkar and check into your hotel. Pushkar is best known for its Brahma Temple built in the 14th century standing on a high platform near Pushkar Lake. This is the only temple in the world where Lord Brahma - Creator of the Universe, is worshipped. I love trying out new and exciting experiences and a trip to a haunted place was definitely on my bucket list. Had a lovely time here exploring the ruins, and the driver and guide, was an excellent storyteller, telling us the haunted tales of the Bhangarh Fort.

The Pink City, Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan, the largest Indian state situated in the North-Western region of India. NEW DELHI - JAIPUR (260 Kms-6 Hrs)

On arrival in Delhi, you will board a cab or bus, which will take you to Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur, you will be transferred to a hotel. After relaxing for a while in the hotel, visit City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Govind Deoji Temple. The evening will be free for leisure, during which you can go to market for some shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.

JAIPUR - AJMER / PUSHKAR - JAIPUR (130 Kms 3 Hrs- One Way)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart by car for a day trip to Ajmer - Pushkar. In the evening, come back to Jaipur hotel for overnight stay.

JAIPUR CITY TOUR

Today, after breakfast, you will go for Jaipur sightseeing tour. You will visit Amber Palace and Kanak Vrindavan Temple. In the evening, you will visit Chokhi Dhani. Overnight stay in the Jaipur hotel.

Jaipur-Delhi

Post breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi. When in Delhi, you will be transferred to airport or railway station for your journey onwards.
