This 3-hour tour will take you through the city’s downtown core, stopping at many of the great sites and buildings. On this tour you will learn a bit about Toronto culture, history, architecture, transportation, city building, entertainment.

Buzz Tours offers both PRIVATE and GUIDED GROUP walking tours. Guided Group Walking Tours are tours through some of Toronto's most memorable and vibrant neighbourhoods. These Walking Tours are operational 12 months a year and have a duration of between 2 to 3 hours, and typically have a maximum of 8 guests. With our small group size we ensure that you will not be just part of the walk, but an active participant in a walk and talk. Private/Corporate Walking Tours allow you the guest to determine the route, the time and the people you want to join you on the tour. Groups can choose to follow the route of one of our tours, or create a customize route of their own through the downtown core.

PATH: Toronto's Underground City

Toronto has an underground city (and in some cases above ground) called PATH. PATH connects more than 70 buildings in the city. It is 24km (16 miles) in length, has 900 shops and services and has over 500 food outlets. This is a GREAT tour for cold, or rainy days!

Toronto has 2 famous markets. Kensington Market (an entire neighbourhood) with great food and interesting shops, and the St. Lawrence Market, an indoor food market ranked one of the top markets in the world. The markets are on opposites sides of the city, which allows are tour to take you through many of the great areas of the city and see some of this city’s amazing architecture.

2 Villages & The Main Street

The northern part of downtown Toronto is sometimes overlooked by visitors to the city. This area has great character, awesome architecture, and loads of history and culture. Our 2.5 hour tour will take you through 2 villages: Yorkville, originally a village outside the city and now a high end fashionable area, and the Church/Wellesley village, home to Toronto’s huge LGBTQ2S+ community.  To get from one village do the other, we will walk down Yonge Street, Toronto’s main street.

Harry Styles Adds 2023 Tour Dates

Harry Styles has extended the run of shows in support of the new album Harry’s House . The new dates added to the Love on Tour set will largely take place in Europe next year, along with the addition of shows in Austin, Chicago, and São Paulo. Styles’ show in Lima, Peru, on November 29 will also see a venue upgrade to the Estádio Nacional. Check out all the new dates below.

Styles has been on tour behind Harry’s House since June, with shows spanning from Europe to North America. Support has included Blood Orange, Mitski, Arlo Parks, Wolf Alice, and more. Jessie Ware, Wet Leg, and Koffee will join as the tour continues through North and Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand.

Harry’s House , which came out in May, is up for the 2022 Mercury Prize . Styles recently put out the music video for the song “ Late Night Talking .”

At the close of every Broadway season, fans across the globe bestow the most democratic theater award of the year. The Broadway.com Audience Choice Award is the only major theatrical prize awarded solely by votes cast online by audience members.

USA TODAY has announced two Greenville winners for the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.

Gather GVL and Greenville's History & Culinary tours placed in the top 10 for each of their respective categories.

Following last year's win, Gather GVL was recognized as one of the best food halls in the nation, moving up a spot in the list. Although Greenville's tours dropped down a few places from last year's ranking, it still managed to luck out when it comes to being one of the country's best food tours.

Sydney Sweeney Explained How She Cleverly Orchestrated The “Anyone But You” Marketing Strategy, And It Proves She’s 10 Steps Ahead Of The Game

Anyone But You was one of the biggest movies of the past year, making $219 million at the global box office. And it’s fair to say that the film’s success was boosted by all the hype around the real-life dynamic between the lead stars, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell.

For context, when promotion for the film kicked off in April 2023, Sydney was engaged to her fiancé, Jonathan Davino , while Glen was believed to be in a relationship with model Gigi Paris .

In footage from the movie set and on the film’s subsequent press tour, Sydney and Glen’s off-screen chemistry was so palpable that fans quickly latched on to the theory that the costars were together in real life. And the rumors only got more intense when Gigi hinted on social media that she and Glen had broken up.

On April 26, she posted a video on Instagram of herself walking alone alongside the caption: “Know your worth & onto the next.” A source subsequently told People that Glen and Gigi had broken up several weeks prior after being on and off for a while.

Of course, this took the affair speculation to new heights over the following months, prompting Sydney to speak out and say that she and Glen were finding the whole thing quite funny.

“That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care,” she told Variety in August. “We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker. We’re excited for the press tour, and I literally just left ADR with him. We talk all the time like, ‘That’s really funny.’”

And while Glen later admitted that he found all the speculation about his personal life “ disorienting and unfair ,” it seems like it all paid off as Anyone But You became a certified hit.

Despite its December 2023 release, Anyone But You is currently still the 10th-highest-grossing movie of 2024 at the domestic box office.

So, fast-forward to today, and the two stars have reflected on the film’s success during an interview with the New York Times , explaining that the theories about their off-screen relationship were all part of a bigger plan.

“The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry,” Glen told the outlet. “Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry. That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully.”

Notably, Glen credited his “very smart” costar for orchestrating the master plan as she recalled how it all came together behind the scenes.

“I was in text group chats. I was probably keeping everybody over at Sony marketing and distribution awake at night because I couldn’t stop with ideas,” she said. “I wanted to make sure that we were actively having a conversation with the audience as we were promoting this film, because at the end of the day, they’re the ones who created the entire narrative.”

Sydney — who produced the film alongside her fiancé — has previously been hailed for her savvy approach to moviemaking. And now, her new quotes are garnering praise once again, with fans describing her as a true mogul in the making.

“She’s like an old school Hollywood mogul,” one X user wrote in response to Sydney’s comments about marketing Anyone But You , as others hailed her “ commitment to blurring fiction and truth ” to capture the attention of a mass audience.

“She’s playing the GAME,” added another user who suggested we’ll be “seeing her for a looong time” in the movie business.

“She’s very savvy and talented. I’m excited to see where her career goes,” someone else wrote .

Just last month, the 26-year-old drew comparisons to fellow Hollywood stars-turned-producers like Margot Robbie and Reese Witherspoon after she pulled back the curtain on the “strategic” reasoning behind her role in Madame Web .

“To me, that film was a building block, it’s what allowed me to build a relationship with Sony,” she told GQ after the movie was a critical and commercial disappointment . “Without doing Madame Web I wouldn’t have a relationship with the decision-makers over there.”

She added: “Everything in my career I do not just for that story, but strategic business decisions.”

If this trend has a progenitor, it’s Taylor Swift : The musician’s career-spanning Eras Tour is reportedly the highest-grossing tour of all time. “Branding it as the Eras Tour and doing a greatest-hits run pulled in so many people, because you go to a show and it’s so clear how many fans came from the country years, and how some didn’t become Swifties until Reputation ,” says Elana Fishman, Page Six style editor and bona fide Swiftie. And Swift didn’t just revisit those eras musically; she also paid homage to the aesthetics of each album cycle, whether through a Reputation -era snake slithering across a Roberto Cavalli catsuit or a sequined matching set that called back to her 1989 persona.

Of course, Swift didn’t invent the idea of tying fashion to different album cycles—that would be Madge, the Queen of Pop herself. Madonna committed to changing everything—from hairstyle to makeup to wardrobe—for each new record cycle, as if creating characters, in a way that few have achieved before or since. “Other artists have also had eras, but they may have had the same hair color throughout all of them. It doesn’t really count,” says creative director and stylist Shannon Stokes, who’s worked with Beyoncé , Rihanna , and SZA . “To me, those are great, and those can still be considered eras, but as a true textbook, you always have to go to Madonna.”

For Stokes, creating and revisiting these visually disparate eras isn’t just useful in distinguishing album cycles, it also creates a fuller picture of the artists themselves. Fans feel more connected to a multifaceted musician. “When you’re doing everything properly, people get to see who you are in all different [areas] of your life: your sexual sides, your fun sides, your vulnerable sides, your introspective sides,” he explains. “It creates a stronger bond, because that fan base feels like they know you more, seeing all sides of your personality.”

It’s notable that there are very few male artists playing with visual identity in quite the same way. While there are some, like Harry Styles or Lil Nas X, dabbling in tying fashion to album cycles, Paul McCartney isn’t exactly hauling out a Sgt. Pepper jacket on his tours. Maybe female stars feel more pressure to constantly reinvent themselves. Or maybe they’re embarking on a high-stakes version of what we all do when embarking on a makeover. Whether it’s a post-breakup closet cleanse or a big-ticket luxury purchase to celebrate a milestone, our clothes reflect who we are at different moments in time—and revisiting those pieces can be liberating, not to mention a fun way of remembering our former selves.

“We, as regular people, have had eras too,” Stokes says. “It’s an evolution, but you still can differentiate the time periods when you were living a certain way and therefore dressing a certain way and doing certain things.” While she may not have invented the wheel, Swift has discovered how to put her own spin on it, keeping fans engaged in the process. She’s taught followers to hunt for clues about upcoming album cycles in her clothes, fueling speculation that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) would be her next re-release with a pair of Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier boots—or announcing her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , with a white Schiaparelli gown at the Grammys.

“A few months before the album rollout really starts, she’ll solidify what her aesthetic is going to be for that era,” Fishman says. “It keeps people hooked, because they’re decoding these clues and zooming in on Getty Images of her paparazzi walks and saying, ‘Is that a snake on her ring, or is it just a vine twisting?’ It becomes a real game.”

And while reinvention may still be all the rage among younger artists, one thing is for sure: There’s no longer a reason to fear history repeating itself. This article appears in the May 2024 issue of ELLE.
