Sheebah, Bebe Cool, Fik Fameica, among many others left revelers yearning for more after Saturday’s Capital FM national Tour concert in Fort Portal.

Capita FM Uganda, in a bid to celebrate the biggest and best Ugandan English radio station which has stayed at the top of the radio industry for over 30 years, partnered with Club Pilsener – a brand that has supported Ugandan music for many years.

The Capital FM crew arrived in Fort Portal before D-day to prepare for the show before meeting Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV on Saturday morning.

The activations prior to the show had already indicated that the revelers in the city were in much anticipation for the show.

The stage was set for Buhinga Stadium where revelers turned up in large numbers starting as early as midday to catch a glimpse of their celebrities.

Performances got underway with Capital FM presenters working the crowds before comedians, emcees, and deejays set the mood higher.

Musicians including Bebe Cool, Sheebah Karungi,B2C Entertainment, Fik Fameica, among many others then gave the best of their performance through the night to the wee hours of Sunday morning.

“It was a massive one bambi, thank you capital fm for always paying back to the community We really enjoyed the vibe,” a fan who attended the show commented.

MOSCOW TOPOGRAPHY

Moscow has developed in circles around the original historical center. Today, Muscovites divide their city into four road rings. The first one, Bulvarnoye Koltso (Boulevard Ring), contains the very center of the city, the Kremlin, as well as the Red Square and some other tourist attractions. The second ring road draws a circle with a diameter of around five kilometers around the Kremlin and covers what is considered the city center. The area is referred to as  Sadovoye koltso , the Garden Ring. The Third Transport Ring ( TTK ) is a high-speed freeway. The fourth ring is enclosed by the Moscow Automobile Ring Road ( MKAD ). The MKAD is the official city boundary, although there are huge areas outside the ring that are also officially part of the city area.

Winter in Moscow usually goes by with lack of sunshine and the long dark nights. The first snow usually appears in the middle of November, but the most snowy months are January and February.

UTILITIES IN RUSSIA

Mains are Europlug (two-pole), voltage is 220V and frequency is 50Hz. Total bills for building maintenance, electricity, gas, water and telephone services are around 6000 rubles (€60.24) per month. All bills can be paid via internet.

MOSCOW PUBLIC TRANSPORT

In Moscow, the main forms of public transport are metro, bus and trolleybus. The Metro stations are renowned for their elegant and grand decor, and the Metro services are frequent and efficient, but during the daytime stations and trains are usually overcrowded. Choose first or last coaches since they are often less crowded. Passes for one or two trips can be purchased via ticket machines (cash and coins only). Tickets cost about 55 rubles (€0.55) for one journey. Tickets are valid at the Metro, bus, trolleybus, tram and monorail. It is better to purchase multi-ride pass, using it is more profitable.

Uber is available in Moscow as it’s local competitors: Gett , Yandex.Taxi (local leader) or Wheely (use a promo code “WEHEARTMOSCOW” to get 1000 rubles (€10.04) discount at your first Wheely ride). All of them provide iOS and Android apps allowing to order a cab using an online map of Moscow.

RUSSIAN MOBILE OPERATORS

There are four major mobile-network providers in Moscow: Beeline , MTS , MegaFon and TELE2 , offering similar services and coverage. 15Gb 3G/LTE data plan costs about 600 rubles (€6.02) per month. Prepaid or contract micro-SIM and nano-SIM cards are available in almost every provider store.

Reservations are recommended .

The Capitol Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tours begin every 10 minutes until 3:20 p.m. All tours are led by our professional tour guides and visit the  Crypt , the  Rotunda  and  National Statuary Hall . The tour does not include the  Senate and House Galleries . The tour route is subject to change.

Reservations are recommended, but not required. Visit the  schedule a tour  page to select a day/time for a reservation. Same day passes may be available. Visitors without reservations are encouraged to arrive at the Capitol Visitor Center as early in the day as possible, but no later than 2:30 p.m., to obtain passes.

All tours, programs and activities are free of charge.

Visitors enter through the Capitol Visitor Center, located underground on the east side of the Capitol. Please leave time to go through security and review the U.S. Capitol’s  prohibited items list  before your visit.

You can begin your Capitol experience at the Visitor Center by visiting Exhibition Hall , perusing our Gift Shops or getting a bite to eat at the Capitol Cafe.

• Go to  https://tours.visitthecapitol.gov  (A new page will open.)
• Beneath the blue banner reading “Reserve a Tour of the Capitol,” click on the link to log in. (A sign in/signup dialog box will open.)
• In the sign in section, log in with your email address and password.
• Search for reservations by clicking “More” in the “My Reservations” tab.
• Once you have located your reservation, click the link to “Cancel.”

February For The Fans on Capital Network (Excluding Scotland), February 2024 – Specific Rules

Terms and conditions.

1. The February For The Fans Promotion (‘ Promotion ’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Monday 5th February 2024 to Friday 9th February 2024 on The Capital Network (Excluding Scotland). Global is the Promoter. The ‘Prize Provider’ is AEG, Live Nation and SJM.

2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘ Promotion Terms and Conditions ’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.

Details of the Promotion:

3. To enter the Promotion, you must listen to Capital from Monday 5th February 2024 to Friday 9th February 2024.

4. Each day the on-air presenter(s) will announce the musical artist or event that you could be winning tickets to that day.

5. Following the instructions of the presenter(s) on-air, you must text in with the keyword FAN to 83958 (the ‘Text Message Line’) when you hear a specific song play.

6. On set days there will be multiple competition rounds when a specific song will be played more than once.

7. The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion but may still be charged.

8. We are not responsible for any latency experienced by your mobile phone network, which may delay the delivery of text messages to and/or from us.

9. Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. Standard rate text messages to promotion shortcodes are not normally included in ‘inclusive’ packages and may be charged. If entry is made by text message, be sure to use the correct shortcode. In all cases, please check with your service provider for more details and charges. If you are not the bill payer, you must obtain the bill payer’s permission before entering.

10. For each competition round, within 30 minutes of the closing time of the Text Message Line, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. One correct entry will be selected at random and the entrant will be contacted by one of Global’s representatives via the telephone on the number on which you entered. If the entry is ineligible, we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another entrant, as applicable.

11. If you are this entrant, you may be asked to have a call with a presenter. That call will either be broadcast live or pre-recorded for future broadcast. You must answer your telephone when we contact you. Someone else cannot answer the phone, participate or accept a prize on your behalf. If: (i) you fail to answer the phone; (ii) someone else answers the phone; (iii) the call goes to voicemail; (iv) the call becomes disconnected; (v) you are not (or do not seem to us to be) in a position to safely and/or lawfully take or remain on the call (for example, if you are or seem to be driving); or (vi) you are not audible or intelligible or we are not able to conduct a conversation with you in a manner that is suitable for broadcast for any reason beyond our control (including, but not limited to: low/no signal on your device, a call is dropped by any network, you are travelling, there is too much background noise or feedback, etc.); before or during the Promotion, you may be disqualified and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable. If you have complied with all applicable terms and conditions, and if you are successful then you will be declared the winner of the Promotion.

12. We may publish and publicise your name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example a guest/travel companion) association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.

13. In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.

Eligibility:

14. The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 years and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry.

15. Entry is restricted to one entry per person per competition round. Duplicate entries will be excluded from the competition round. For the avoidance of doubt, entrants may only win one prize during the February For The Fans Promotion (a month-long Promotion in total).

16. The winner will win a pair of tickets to see a musical artist on tour in the UK. The musical artist will change each day and will be announced by the on air presenter(s) daily to reveal who it is.

17. The winner will win £250 also.

18. On set days there will be multiple competition rounds.

20.4 Wembley Stadium age restrictions for The Eras Tour, no under 5 year olds. No under 14 year olds on pitch standing. All under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

21. Tate McRae Tickets

21.1 The winning entrant will win a pair of tickets to the Tate McRae Tour at the London Eventim Apollo on Monday 22nd April 2024.

21.2 Tickets will be e-tickets.

21.3 Tickets will be General Admission Standing.

21.4 Doors Open 7pm.

21.5 Age restrictions include 14 year olds and under to be accompanied by an adult. No under 3 year old’s permitted.

22. Niall Horan Tickets

22.1 The winning entrant will win a pair of tickets to the Niall Horan Tour. Winners can pick one location from the following.

22.2 OVO Hydro Glasgow on 28th February 2024. Age restrictions include, under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years.

22.3 OVO Arena Wembley London on 1st March 2024. Age restrictions include, under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years.

22.4 Manchester Co-Op Live on 27th August 2024. Age restrictions include over 16 year olds only in standing area. Under 15 year olds must be in seats and accompanied by an adult over 18 years.

22.5 Leeds First Direct Arena on 28th August 2024. Age restrictions include, standing area must be 14 years plus.

22.7 Newcastle Utilita Arena on 30th August 2024. Age restrictions include under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old. Over 14 years only in standing area.

22.8 Aberdeen P&J Live on 31st August 2024. Age restrictions include under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years. Standing is over 14 year olds only.

23.3 Utilita Arena Birmingham on 15th June 2024. The venue recommends that children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or above.

22.4 OVO Glasgow on 16th June 2024. Age restrictions include over 8 year olds only, under 16 year olds with an adult.

23.5 Co-Op Live Manchester on 17th June 2024. Under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years.

24.5 Ovo Hydro Glasgow on 7th May 2024. Age restrictions, under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. No under 8 year olds.

25. By attending the event, you and your guest agree to abide by the venue entry and requirements. You will find all venue event details such as performance times, bag policy, food and drink and more on the Official Tour or Venue websites.

26. Global is not responsible for artist delay or cancellation.

27. Each winner will also win £250.

28. Global will endeavor to transfer the prize money to your bank account within 28 days but are not responsible for any delays. You must provide all necessary details via the method directed within 14 days after the original request to do so otherwise the prize will be forfeited at our discretion.

29. Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. By way of example, without limitation, travel and accommodation is not included within the prize.

30. The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available except at our sole discretion.

31. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.
